This performs well if you have the proper sunlight, otherwise it's a pretty bird bath. The assembly did not allow for the fountain to be completely level, thus limiting the water flow to only three of the four sides. Despite this, it's a very attractive centerpiece to my garden.

I was happy with the fountain for the first couple weeks, really liked the design. It was a nice addition to the garden and had many compliments. However after a couple weeks the coating started to peel off. For the price, I would have expected a better quality item.

This fountain turned out to be everything I hoped for: high-quality material that well-imitates stone; easy to install and place anywhere; pumps water consistently when there is direct sunlight, and serves as a pleasing birdbath when the pump is off.
I am also pleasantly surprised by the only-positive comments I have received from guests and landscape professionals who have seen it. All love the fountain's appearance and that it is solar.

This is now the centerpiece of our back garden. It has a lovely trickle sound that is not overpowering but relaxing. I was hoping the water would shoot a bit higher from the center but it is sufficient. Set-up was simple and the top unit can easily be removed for winter storage. We plan on covering the bottom to prevent water build-up in the lower bowl, so no winter freezing can occur.

the fountain looked great when first installed. have to clean the filter more often because of such a small pump. the coating peels off, just a few weeks after purchase. is there a larger pump and a kit to paint on the original finish.

We bought this fountain because of the attractive design and because it was solar powered. It was placed in our flower garden and for two weeks it worked well and looked great. (Note that it only works when the sun is shining on it since there is no battery storage.) The water splashing made a pleasant sound and kept the mosquitos away. Setup was easy though the directions weren't as clear as they could have been.The first problem I noticed was that the resin coating started peeling off during routine washing with a gentle spray. Then the fountain stopped working after only two weeks of use. The pump wasn't dirty or clogged, so I don't know if the pump or the solar panel failed. In any event, I was disappointed in the quality for such a high end fountain (made in China) and returned it. I can't answer if all these fountains poor quality or did I just get a lemon.[...]

This beautiful fountain could not be improved upon EXCEPT for finding a way to store the solar energy in a photovoltaic cell so it can function without direct sunlight as well (which is why I reserved one star in the rating). If the company ever develops this component, I would be willing to add it in a heartbeat. Otherwise, I absolutely love it!

This fountain was easy for me to set up. The water flow is good for a solar product. It looks very much as described and displayed on line so there were no surprises. It looks great in my backyard and several people have already complimented it! I am realy pleased with it!

Because I placed this fountain in my zen garden it needed to be solar powered. I searched for over two years, this is the most attractive one I've seen, people cannot believe it isnt concrete. It was very east to set up, less than 10 minutes from the time I opened the box. There is no battery to collect and store the sun's energy so the pump doesnt run unless the sun is shining directly on the element, and when it does run the pump is only powerful enough to cause the water to "burble" but it's perfect for my application. Very tranquil.

Love this fountain. It has a lovely sound and a classic appearance. Was very easy to assemble. The only negative was that there was a small crack in the bottom bowl when I opened the package but I kept it anyway since returns are such a hassle.

This fountain was purchased for the Children's Discovery Garden, part of the King's Garden at Fort Ticonderoga. Children and adults flock to it and the soothing sound of the trickling water creates great atmosphere. I was impressed at how easy it was to set up and there are very few parts. I enjoy the classic design and it looks very expensive! I enjoy showing children how the solar panel powers the fountain by blocking the sun with my hat, causing the flow to slow down. A few seconds after exposing it to the sun again, the flow increases. It works on sunny days and days with filtered sun. We must brush off the pump intake weekly to remove a slimy build-up that collects there. This is very easy to do. Overall this is a fantastic fountain and I love the fact that it is very "green" with no need to run an electric service into the garden. This also allows us to move the unit around in the garden with no trouble at all. Thank you Gardener's Supply!

Really pleased with the design. Was apprehensive about the solar powered pump but it works great! Wish it would continue working when the sun isn't shining but it's worth the trade off not to have to deal with an electrical hook up.

I've only had the fountain for a few weeks. It looked nice at first, but when rinsing it with a garden hose, the finish started flaking off. It still works fine, but for the price I expected better. I am going to try fixing it with some paint. Hopefully that will work and will hold up better than the factory finish. It has a pleasing sound and the birds love it.

This fountain is perfect for any garden. Blends in nicely. Peaceful sound. I just wish it had a reserve on the solar panel so it would run when the sun goes behind the clouds.

Even in the shade, this is an attractive bird bath. But when the sun shines on it the water flows automatically----no need for electric cords. I have moved this several times as I've changed my mind on plantings with no more work than emptying the refilling the water. The only thing to improve would be to have a solar chargeable battery to extend time water moves.

It is a personal preference that I love the design.
Daily filter clogging problem with spring pollen and debris.
Needs to be filled daily during summer as water evaporates quickly from it.
I would not recommend it to a friend unless they could maintain it and this is my first solar fountain so even I am not used to their needs. And I am never home to know if birds like it! But the raccoons and turkeys have never knocked it over!

I just love the design of the fountain but I was disappointed when the solar pump failed after a week. I have replaced it with a solar panel that sits outside of the fountain and requires a wire. It still looks nice and is now working, however, I did have to go the cost of the new pump.

This fountain is stylish, yet light in weight so it can be moved if necessary - we'll take it in in the winter for instance.
The solar mechanism is a real workhorse...and keeps going and going as long as the sun is out.
Anyone who owns one should know that regular cleaning of the filter is necessary - when the water starts to slow down if the sun is out, then it's time to take the top off and clean out the filter mechanism...not a big deal, but initially a little bit of a challenge to figure out.
It's so great to be able to have this fountain in places where there is not electrical hookup. We love it!!
