These gloves offer great protection against bugs. Fire Ants just plain hurt, BUT Brown Recluse spider bites can cause long term muscle problems (email me and ask!). These gloves have longer sleeves that cover the upper arm more than regular leather gloves.

    Comments about Garden Gloves:

When I ordered these gloves I was going to order two pair... out of habit. I ordered only one since few garden gloves really stand up over time and I assumed the same about these. Now I don't see a reason to HAVE to order a second pair.

I might order another just to have and use for "cleaner" work, because I've put these through a work out and the fit is fantastic, you forget you're even wearing them. They're neither too loose nor too snug, the wrist strap is great for keeping debris from falling inside the glove and having to shake it out every few minutes like my old pair.

I've owned these for about a month now and they've been put to work every day, from small digging and planting; the touch is fantastic even with the most delicate plants. I was sure they would rip apart during the moving of heavy flagstones as I built my patio, but they didn't. Not a tear or evidence of shredding.

The thick gripping palms and fingers are incredible and stand up to the heaviest of work that I've put them through. They meet my needs, hands down - no pun intended.

I actually look forward to putting them on because you wear 'em and forget 'em. Fantastic garden gloves!! I think I'll order another pair just to have a different color, because that's really the only reason I can see to need to order a second pair.

GREAT ITEM! Thank you, Gardener's Supply!

    Comments about Garden Gloves:

These are great. I use them for almost every thing. I have over a hundred roses so when used to prune, be careful because you will still get stuck with thorns from the outer aspect of the glove. It is fabric in comparison to the leather palm portion. I have two pairs. The berry is a fantastic shade. I use them for heavy gardening such as hauling mulch, digging. fertilizing, shoveling, you get the picyure.

I used these gloves for pruning, digging, lifting heavy objects, planting and weeding. They offer great protection for the hands, since they have reinforced fingers and padded palms. I got them absolutely muddy and filthy, and after I washed them, they looked brand new again. I like the fact they have a velcro adjustment strap for a custom fit, too.

    Comments about Garden Gloves:

In a heavy duty leather glove, I'm used to gloves that are bulky and too big, so I am surprised at how closely fitted these gloves are, yet they don't bind at all. Although I haven't yet tested it, I imagine they'll work well for wet, muddy conditions, too, because they are washable. I think they'll probably be great for winter as well as summer in your rainy climate here. I'm always looking for a durable gardening glove that will keep my hands warm, and I think I might have found it.

    Comments about Garden Gloves:

I bought these to do heavy-duty gardening and yard work. Except for the fingers being a little too long for women (which makes it a little difficult at times e.g. for tying things), but they will do very well for doing heavy-duty gardening and yard work when the weather is not too cold.

    Comments about Garden Gloves:

Love the fact that these gloves have a velcro fastener at the wrist so I can seal my long sleeve cuffs under the glove cuff to prevent exposed skin. Like the little grip dots. These gloves do have a softer outer skin so use caution with prickly plants/weeds/debris, they will penetrate. Great comfort and cushion on the grip for weeding.
