Strong and handsome, this stainless steel crock's 1-gallon capacity means fewer trips to the compost pile. The vented lid conceals two filters (included) to reduce odors. Easy to clean and practically indestructible — especially good if you bang your pail to empty it!

Use it for kitchen waste for composting.
Comments about Stainless Steel Compost Crock:
I like this counter compost holder, no smell, but I will have to use a stainless steel cleaner to get handprints off the exterior.
Comments about Stainless Steel Compost Crock:
I had a nice blue ceramic crock that uses bags for collecting kitchen scraps, but the bags would leak [begin to break down?], and I didn't like sending the crock to the compost bin with the 8-year old...but this steel one has no bag, and we can bang it on the fence upside down to get all the [*] out from the bottom. So, now who'd like to buy [repurpose?] my beautiful blue crock?
Comments about Stainless Steel Compost Crock:
Looks beautiful in the Kitchen - and works well, so far.[...]

Comments about Stainless Steel Compost Crock:
I have loved your ceramic crocks. I owned two of them and they worked almost perfectly, but eventually the lids cracked. I was really disappointed that the metal crock has larger holes in the lid - apparently to ensure that charcoal filters are bought. With the larger holes, I am having odor released which never happened with ceramic ones. (I empty the crock a few times a day, as needed). Please redesign with smaller holes.
Comments about Stainless Steel Compost Crock:
Works as advertised and is more durable than the ceramic crock I previously had. Fitting the filters into the lid is a little tricky but not bad.
Comments about Stainless Steel Compost Crock:
I used to keep kitchen scraps in a bucket in the garage. Even with a lid it got smelly and sometimes fruit flies developed. This bucket with the bio bags is wonderful! It looks nice on my counter, is easier than carrying everything to the garage and keeps all odors contained! I only bag it up once a week for two people.
Comments about Stainless Steel Compost Crock:
we use this composter daily and empty it several times a week into an outdoor compost heap. It holds a lot and there's no odor. We've had ours for over a year and it's like new - very sturdy. Just bought a second one for our daughter. Would recommend it highly.
Comments about Stainless Steel Compost Crock:
This is an excellent kitchen addition to any new or avid composter/gardner. An attractive alternative to a nasty old bucket, this kitchen composter reduced the smell and bugs in my kitchen as a result of my composting.
Comments about Stainless Steel Compost Crock:
Looked at the ceramic versions, because they went with our kitchen more... but got this one because it was bigger. After receiving it, I realized that I always bang the pail on the fence to empty it into the compost heap. I don't think the ceramic would take my abuse very well, but the sturdy steel pail is indestructible -- very pleased with it.
Comments about Stainless Steel Compost Crock:
Keep near the sink. It's attractive and will not break if accidentally knocked off counter. That's a money saver, compared to the ceramic models.
Comments about Stainless Steel Compost Crock:
Looks nice on the counter and there is no odor.
Comments about Stainless Steel Compost Crock:
I like the look and feel of the crock, but my old ceramic one had a seal on the lid that held it closed more tightly. I have had a problem with odor and a bad problem with fruitflies.
Comments about Stainless Steel Compost Crock:
This is a great product for holding your waste in an attractive container until you can get it out to you composter. It is sturdy and easy to empty. Does attract fruit flies.
Comments about Stainless Steel Compost Crock:
I admire its handsomeness each day as it works at reducing odors, unsightly scraps, and fruit flies in my lovely kitchen. I wish I had known about this containers many years ago. Having a choice to not take scraps out immediately is a treat.
Comments about Stainless Steel Compost Crock:
Works great and looks nice on my countertop.
Thanks
Comments about Stainless Steel Compost Crock:
I really like this product. Only downside is that it holds a little more than I'd like, meaning that the compost sits in the kitchen longer than I'd like before getting dumped. However, the charcoal filter does a great job eliminating smells!
Comments about Stainless Steel Compost Crock:
Easy to use.
Comments about Stainless Steel Compost Crock:
This container looks stylish on our kitchen counter and holds a large amount of kitchen scraps with no smell. The handle makes it easy for the kids to carry it out to the compost heap and empty it. It is also very sturdy so when the kids bang it to empty it does not dent. My only complaint is we seem to get a few fruit flys around the top of it.
Comments about Stainless Steel Compost Crock:
This is a really nice looking pail, but it is much larger than I expected. While this is good for composting - it's really too big to sit out on the counter.
I like it and would buy it again, it just sits under the counter most of the time.
Comments about Stainless Steel Compost Crock:
This bucket is placed directly next to my sink and cutting board. Every meal we have something that goes to the compost pile so we fill this bucket daily. It is a good size, attractive and it really is odorless, at least until you open it. I have since bought one for my daughter.
Comments about Stainless Steel Compost Crock:
We've had other pails and so far this is the best one. Compared to the others, it empties easier and more completely, even for wet scraps.
Comments about Stainless Steel Compost Crock:
Fruit fly eggs stuck all over inside the lid where the filter fits in, would not wash out.
Comments about Stainless Steel Compost Crock:
This was purchased as a replacement for my original plastic collection pail and has been a wonderful upgrade. This sets on my kitchen counter instead of hiding under the sink, making it easy and convenient for everyday use. I line it with biobags and don't empty it until full and there have been no problems with odors. It's a perfect size. I'm very happy with this purchase and highly recommend it.
Comments about Stainless Steel Compost Crock:
Looks great on our kitchen counter. Hold about 1week of material
Comments about Stainless Steel Compost Crock:
I've had a couple of kitchen compost pails that disappointed...then I found this one. It's sturdy, easy to clean, has a filtered, vented lid, and looks quite nice on the counter. Well worth the money.
Comments about Stainless Steel Compost Crock:
This looks great on the kitchen counter and is completely odorless. I liked the first one I purchased (for my house in the country) so much that I bought a second one for my city apartment, and am now composting there, too.
Comments about Stainless Steel Compost Crock:
This container works MUCH better than the one we had been using (a covered glass casserole dish). The crock is a large, functional size. It looks nice & interesting on the countertop, it's lid fits very well so there's little to no odor. Use the liner bags and disposal of scraps is simple and mess-free.
Comments about Stainless Steel Compost Crock:
One complaint:I wish it had come with instructions about how/when to replace the charcoal filter and with an extra filter. It's not rocket science to buy another filter or figure out how to yank the old one out, but it'd be more convenient without the guesswork. Otherwise, good product as advertised -- and much better than the cheap plastic bucket I used to use.
Comments about Stainless Steel Compost Crock:
After breaking the lids on two crockery compost bins, I was glad to receive this attractive stainless one. It holds more than the other models but there are two problems. One is easily solved--the compost bags tend to slip inside, so we put a rubber band around the rim. The other problem is the bottom is so light weight that it must be held down in order for you to pull off the lid--that means you need both hands free every time you want to put something in the crock. A weighted bottom would improve this model.
Comments about Stainless Steel Compost Crock:
Looks lovely enough we keep it on the counter, whereas previous container kept under the sink. Filters keep it from smelling, and biodegradable bags make for easy cleaning!

Comments about Stainless Steel Compost Crock:
Our first compost crock was a white ceramic model, which looked good, but when dropped---bad things happened. After gluing the lid back from 8 pieces, I knew it was time to get a new one. The stainless steel is sturdy, can go in the dishwasher, and holds even more scraps---which does come in handy in the winter. Composting has greatly reduced our trash, we hardly use our garbage disposal, and we have a cleaner trash can.
Comments about Stainless Steel Compost Crock:
Lovely to look at on the kitchen counter every day and practical. Holds lots, and filters prevent ugly odors. Bought one for myself years ago, this was a birthday gift for my daughter so she can feed her worms that make compost tea. Great product!
Comments about Stainless Steel Compost Crock:
I leave this outside my back door so my son can pick it up for his mulch pile. Much more attractive and practical than plastic bags and a good disposal plan for my waste.
Comments about Stainless Steel Compost Crock:
Handy, makes collecting kitchem scraps for composting comvenient
Comments about Stainless Steel Compost Crock:
Have wanted to get a compost crock for years - glad I decided on this one. Big enough to not have to dump frequently and small enough to be attractive on the counter.

Comments about Stainless Steel Compost Crock:
This is a great product that looks good in the kitchen. It was larger than I expected but doesn't take up much space in the kitchen. It takes our family of 4 about five days to fill it up (depending on what we eat). The only drawback is that since it holds so much it gets pretty gross inside without a bag/liner. Of course that is a problem with any product like this. I think I will try the "green" bags that are recommended. The filters work well and we don't have any smell when we open the lid to add more.
Comments about Stainless Steel Compost Crock:
I purchased this for kitchen scraps, and it works great! My only complaint, it's a little larger than what I'd like. It's too big to sit the counter, so I'm trying to figure out the best place now, possibly under the sink. It's attractive enough to leave out, just a little too big.
Comments about Stainless Steel Compost Crock:
I had the ceramic compost crock for about 4 years, but I broke it. The stainless steel looks great & can't break. I would recommend this product.
Comments about Stainless Steel Compost Crock:
Such a great performing and good looking countertop device. No odor and cleans in a snap.
Comments about Stainless Steel Compost Crock:
Perfect for kitchen collection. Absolutely NO oder.
Comments about Stainless Steel Compost Crock:
Handy product to have in the kitchen. Saves many trips out to the large composter (we are much more likely to save coffee grounds using this product). We are looking forward to gardening with the results this summer!
Comments about Stainless Steel Compost Crock:
What a great way to prepare veggies, clean out the refrigerator and enrich the garden! We love it! Our only complaint is that the two-part lid (i.e., the outer top and the ring that fits into the can) don't completely fit together. Still, it is a great improvement over the ceramic compost can we used to have on the kitchen counter.
Comments about Stainless Steel Compost Crock:
Love this countertop compost pot. I gather kitchen scraps & coffee grounds in it, and when it's full, I carry it out to my backyard composter. The handle is sturdy, although it occasionally comes off if you don't periodically hand-tighten the threaded fastener. I used to have a plastic compost pot, but the handle broke within the first year. This one is attractive and sturdy. Great product! I just bought one for my mother.
Comments about Stainless Steel Compost Crock:
My husband broke my ceramic composter which I loved so I decided to get one he couldn't destroy. It's not only attractive, but it's completely odorless. Once/week we empty it into are our outdoor composter. I absolutely love it!!!
Comments about Stainless Steel Compost Crock:
I use it to contain kitchen scraps for about a week before I need to take it out to compost pile. No kitchen oders, easy cleanup.
Comments about Stainless Steel Compost Crock:
Fits under sink and away from view.

Comments about Stainless Steel Compost Crock:
First, the good things...This pail is attractive and a good size. It is also indestructible--we broke our first counter compost container.
However, I had to take the filters out b/c we let it get a little full and I needed to clean everything. I guess I didn't get the filters back in correctly, even though it looked correct to me. Yesterday, I opened the pail and fruit flies came pouring out of it, many crawling out of the lid.
I'm not giving up on it however, just a little disappointed. Unfortunately, I'm going to give "Gardener's Supply Company" a little more business; I'm ordering the fruit fly trap!

This container looks great on the counter and is easy to transport to the large compost bin outside every few days (it holds lots of scraps!). I'm very pleased with the purchase.

Comments about Stainless Steel Compost Crock:
Just the right capacity for a weeks worth of coffee grounds plus the majority of vegetable scraps. Sturdy construction - I am sure that it will last a long time. Rather expensive for a tiny steel "trash can" however. Perhaps the filter lid adds to the cost. I have encountered no odor problem at all (I keep the lid tilted, not a complete closure, to let some of the moisture escape after adding warm coffee grounds) and I haven't even needed the filter.
Comments about Stainless Steel Compost Crock:
Make less trips to compost pile, no odor, great addition to my composting
Comments about Stainless Steel Compost Crock:
No odors and no fruitflies

Comments about Stainless Steel Compost Crock:
I have saved kitchen waste headed to the compost pile for years in a plastic tub. It was unsightly and often smelled bad. This mini garbage can eliminated the tub. Being made of stainless steel, I don't have to worry about rust forming and it sure looks better than the "tub" on my counter. It is a bit higher than I would have liked since my upper cabinets don't allow a lot of clearance for it. I would definetely recommend it to anyone wanting a neat clean looking for their waste waiting to go to the compost pile.
Comments about Stainless Steel Compost Crock:
Everyone that sees it wants one.
Comments about Stainless Steel Compost Crock:
I really appreciate being able to recycle my kitchen scraps!!
Comments about Stainless Steel Compost Crock:
We use this every day. Easy, good looking, no odor, large, and NO things that aren't great about it. Thanks.
Comments about Stainless Steel Compost Crock:
This bucket's style fits into most decor. The capacity is large as far as most of the kitchen buckets go, but I would like an even larger, 1 1/2 gal version. The handle looks like it will hold up over time.
Comments about Stainless Steel Compost Crock:
This was given as a gift since they have admired mine for 3-4 years. They absolutely love it. Their granddaughter even sent my wife an email to tell them how much Papa and Nana loved their compost pale.
Comments about Stainless Steel Compost Crock:
I bought this for my mom for Christmas and she loves it. Have only been using it for a little over a month but have never had any bad smells so far. I bought the disposable bags to go along with it which makes it easy to take outside to dispose but the handle also makes it easy to carry. It isn't too big but if it were any bigger it would probably look out of place. I wanted another one that fit our kitchen decor better but it didn't come with a handle and I thought the handle would be more important than looks and I am glad I made that decision.
Comments about Stainless Steel Compost Crock:
The compost pail sits on my kitchen counter and looks great. It's not too big but has a large capacity. Dump it maybe once a week and I cook with a lot of veggies. There are no ridges or grooves for food to get caught in. Easy to clean.
Comments about Stainless Steel Compost Crock:
For kitchen composting.

Comments about Stainless Steel Compost Crock:
We use this light, sturdy little pail every day to collect kitchen scraps and leaves from houseplants and when full we take it to the composter outside
and dump it in - neat and clean and there is never any odor.
I especially like the double filter feature and the secure way they stay in the
lid. The fact that it is unbreakable is terrific because my husband broke the last one as it was a ceramic one and he hit it too hard. Also, the filter kept falling out and was most aggravating since it had to be retrieved by hand from the big composter every time.
Comments about Stainless Steel Compost Crock:
Great for kitchen!
Comments about Stainless Steel Compost Crock:
Attractive enough to sit on the counter
No odors & Cleans easily
Large capacity reduces trips to compost bin
Comments about Stainless Steel Compost Crock:
It fits. Just exactly what I wanted.
Comments about Stainless Steel Compost Crock:
I bought this for my mother, who is a master gardener and she loves it! it fits in well with her kitchen, is easy to use, is attractive to look at and holds a good amount of kitchen scraps, the latter being what caught my eye. She is very happy! I also bought some replacement charcoal filters as well. wonderful!
Comments about Stainless Steel Compost Crock:
works
Comments about Stainless Steel Compost Crock:
I actually don't mind having this beautiful compost container sitting on my kitchen counter! (Trust me, my coffee pot doesn't even get that honor.) Odor free, very large capacity, and the (separate) bio bags make it so you won't have an excuse NOT to compost.
Comments about Stainless Steel Compost Crock:
Attractive storage unit to collect organic waste in kitchen. Only need to empty 2 times per week ie holds good volume.
Comments about Stainless Steel Compost Crock:
I purchased this as a gift and, so, have not used it. It appears to be simililar to one that we use and are quite happy with. We like ours because it has a reasonably large capacity and yet takes up moderate space in the sink. It contains odors well, is relatively easy to use and to empty. And the exterior can be kept clean and presentable without much effort. [...]
Comments about Stainless Steel Compost Crock:
we have chickens and throw nothing away. I love the appearance and idea but the lid band cracked within two days. The lid does not easily fit into the can top which is not good if one hand is holding a plate of scraps!
Comments about Stainless Steel Compost Crock:
This stainless steel crock looks great on our kitchen counter and matches our other kitchen appliances. The handle and design makes it easy and convenient to carry to our outdoor compost pile. Of all the previous indoor containers used for this purpose, this stainless steel crock is the best by far!
Comments about Stainless Steel Compost Crock:
Good size, no odor. Have used a similar one bought from you for years
Comments about Stainless Steel Compost Crock:
I got this product because I dropped and broke the top of my ceramic crock. This one has a larger capacity. My husband says he has to hold the bottom to remove the lid but I have not noticed this. Also, I bought one for a friend who had been putting her kitchen scraps in an old quart yogurt container...which didn't hold much.
She seems to like it a lot too.
Comments about Stainless Steel Compost Crock:
Attractive and well designed. This crock should last a very, very long time. Even though it is large, it blends well into the kitchen landscape. The finish work on this product is exceptional. No sharp edges, burrs, or dings. It is well worth the cost.
Comments about Stainless Steel Compost Crock:
This composter blends into kitchen decor, eliminates odors and handles a large amount of kitchen scraps. It works wonderfully.
Comments about Stainless Steel Compost Crock:
I love my stainless steel compost crock! It is very durable ( I have no concerns with my children taking it to empty it in the garden!), and much more attractive and odor free than the cereal bowl I was using before. I also love making fewer trips - it holds a lot of scraps!
Comments about Stainless Steel Compost Crock:
Love the quality and look of this compost pail. Perfect for my urban kitchen. Keep it under the sink for easy access and it is entirely odor free. I bring the compost to the local farmer's market for community composting.
Comments about Stainless Steel Compost Crock:
After using our own for years, we bought one of these for each of our adult kids for Christmas. I read reviews of the ceramic ones but opted for this after realizing that the ceramic ones get broken easily. We love ours and use it for all our kitchen scraps.
Comments about Stainless Steel Compost Crock:
This is my second one, as I am giving it as a gift this Christmas. Love mine so much, just had to share it with someone else!
Comments about Stainless Steel Compost Crock:
I like the unit. It looks nice on the counter and you don't have an odor coming out of it. I like the bags inside - it makes it easier to take out and dispose of it.
Comments about Stainless Steel Compost Crock:
Like this one so much better than the ceramic compost bucket it replaced. It is lighter, larger and won't break like the other one did!
Comments about Stainless Steel Compost Crock:
I had a plastic one before, this looks better and smells better. So far no odor leaks. It is not quite big enough for a family of 5, more trips to the compost bin.
Comments about Stainless Steel Compost Crock:
This is a good-looking product and initially seemed like the best composter I've tried. However, within 6 months, the ring that encircles the lid has 'sprung' so that I can only get the lid on with great difficulty and, once it's on, my husband has to remove it. Definitely defective lid design!
Comments about Stainless Steel Compost Crock:
This compost pail is attractive and sturdy. I was shocked when I opened it to find my kitchen scraps were rotting, and fruit flies flew out, but absolutely NO odor gave it away! I think the fruit flies got into the top portion, where the filter resides. I would recommend this pail, but just empty it out regularly!

Comments about Stainless Steel Compost Crock:
Overall I like the product; however, I am about to request another lid replacement. Original and replacement lid both split at side making lid impossible to close or too tight. Both split in less than 1 month of use. Let's hope 3rd time is a charm...
Comments about Stainless Steel Compost Crock:
I had a ceramic compost pot which broke. The stainless steel is bigger and will not break. It is stylish, easy to clean and holds a lot of scraps. My friends thought it was a cookie jar!

Comments about Stainless Steel Compost Crock:
The top is so difficult to get off, it's a struggle every time we need to open it. We used to have a ceramic one but it broke when accidently dropped so I thought stainless steel would be a good choice. We do like the size of it and there is no smell as we keep it under the kitchen sink but something needs to be done about the top and the inability to get it on or off.

Comments about Stainless Steel Compost Crock:
Disappointed in the difficulty of wrestling off the too-tight lid. Takes one arm around the can and hard twisting of the top. Almost impossible to remove, or fit tightly, when used with the bag. Any solutions appreciated.

Comments about Stainless Steel Compost Crock:
The compost crock looks fantastic but the stainless steel lid is much harder to remove from the crock than the ceramic version which I had before. On the plus side the stainless has much better odor control and has more room for more scraps. Overall I like it but if there had been a ceramic version in a color that matched my kitchen that would have been my preference because my hands are either a mess or full when I want to open the crock. I have to clean my hands to get a proper grip to get it open
Comments about Stainless Steel Compost Crock:
I wanted a container that was large enough to accommodate a day or two of scraps, yet small enough to fit under the sink. This does both quite well. It is sturdy and easy to handle/wash. The filters seem to work as there is no odor from the scraps, even if 2 or 3 days go by before adding to the compost heap.

Comments about Stainless Steel Compost Crock:
This compost pail is awful. The filter falls down a lot and just leaves open holes where it can stink and bugs fly there. Difficult to clean and gets fingerprintey and rusty.
Comments about Stainless Steel Compost Crock:
Love this container. Never thought I'd be saying that about something that holds garbage!!Even my husband was impressed. Looks good and so far no odor at all.

Comments about Stainless Steel Compost Crock:
I had a ceramic compost crock that got broken so this stainless steel one is the perfect solution. It handles all of our kitchen scraps with no odor. Handle makes it easy to carry out to our big composter. Cleans up easily.
Comments about Stainless Steel Compost Crock:
great on my kitchen counter. As I prepare meals I can put vegetable & fruit scraps in it. Every morning I empty it in my bin outside

Comments about Stainless Steel Compost Crock:
When we broke our first crock, I decided to try this one. It's perfect. I place a sheet of folded newspaper in the bottom to prevent food scraps from sticking. It works great! It is quite large but because of its size, I've started added liquids (e.g. leftover coffee) to the crock. This keeps my compost pile hydrated and fewer fluids go into our septic tank.
Comments about Stainless Steel Compost Crock:
Because it is odor free, I have it as deco in my kitchen and compost everything! It looks very good and is very fonctional! I have even felt it hot once when composting process had started! I just love it!
Comments about Stainless Steel Compost Crock:
I use it everyday and empty it when its full and no odors or fruitflies.!!!

Comments about Stainless Steel Compost Crock:
The product looks great, is the right size to fit in the kitchen and hold 3 or 4 days of vegetable scraps and coffee grounds. The only thing I really don't like about it is the huge MADE IN CHINA on the side of the box it came in. That just tells me that in the best case, a lot of CO2 was produced just to ship this here, and in the worst case, it could be made of toxic materials in a plant that runs off child labor. You have to realize that most people that compost do it with a conscience, and would much prefer a product that was made domestically.
Comments about Stainless Steel Compost Crock:
Something went "off" in our plastic compost pail - it was not pretty. For days we could not eradicate the odor from our kitchen. We realized that the plastic had absorbed the odor and the filters were not working. We went in search of a metal pail with a filter that would be slightly smaller than our old plastic version. This pail fits the bill. Since purchasing it I've seen it on the counter tops of many of my friends. It's a little expensive, but it's durable, solid construction will last forever.
Comments about Stainless Steel Compost Crock:
This crock works and is much better than our previous ceramic crocks! I haven't noticed any odor and it is easy to clean. The handle is great and it's easy to just grab it off the counter and take it to our compost pile.
Comments about Stainless Steel Compost Crock:
No smells have came out of the top even with some very strong onoins tops and bottoms in the container

I use the container to collect kitchen scrapes. The size is great. It holds more that you think, and there is no smell.

Comments about Stainless Steel Compost Crock:
So far so good (I am holding out on the 5th star rating b/c it is so new). It is only in its first month of use as a gift for friends. I use it sometimes while house-sitting for them. No bugs, easy to carry and clean, and looks fine on the kitchen counter. Friends (gift recipients) like it b/c of its capacity and it won't break (like the ceramic crock) if they drop it en route to the outdoor composter.
Comments about Stainless Steel Compost Crock:
This kitchen composter looks great in my kitchen. It has no odor and holds a good amount of kitchen compost waste. The only negative that we have found is that with the bag inside, the top often sticks and it is difficult to open. It takes two hands and repeated tugging to get the top off. All in all however, it does the job that it was purchased for and does it with style.

Comments about Stainless Steel Compost Crock:
After years of using a crockery compost collector, this is the better choice for me. It seems cleaner (no unglazed areas). No chipping or cracking. However, the included charcoal filter is totally worthless! Fortunately, I had ordered replacement filters when I ordered this .
Comments about Stainless Steel Compost Crock:
The compost crock holds a lot and it looks nice on my counter by the sink.

Comments about Stainless Steel Compost Crock:
I like this compost crock mainly because it looks nicer on my counter than other containers I've used, and it has a lot of capacity. I haven't noticed any bad odor, so the filter must work well. I'm glad I spent a little more money to get it.
Comments about Stainless Steel Compost Crock:
Expensive but works great.
Comments about Stainless Steel Compost Crock:
Neat on kitchen counter. Adequate capacity & sanitary holding of disposable waste.
Comments about Stainless Steel Compost Crock:
This is a nice sized and truly odor free counter container for items headed to compost. Our only issue is that there is a bit of trouble using it with the recommended bio bags due to the tightness of the lid - and, of course, the bag will show around the lip of the can. We couldn't find any way to secure the bag completely inside the can.
Comments about Stainless Steel Compost Crock:
This will be great for my garden!
Comments about Stainless Steel Compost Crock:
Nice looking and good size. We fill one per week for a family of 4.
Comments about Stainless Steel Compost Crock:
No odor at all!
Comments about Stainless Steel Compost Crock:
Great for compost material from the kitchen.
Comments about Stainless Steel Compost Crock:
I found what I was searching for when I ordered this compost pot. While the ceramic pots may come in pretty colors, this pot assures me of no accidental breakage. It's attractive in the kitchen, easy to carry out to empty and clean and the cover with filter keeps the kitchen free of odor. My most troublesome problem with what I used previously was the fruit flies. I have not had a problem with that since using this pot. The little pests are gone!
Comments about Stainless Steel Compost Crock:
Looks nice on the kitchen cabinet. Have not noticed any odor. Thought it was a bit overpriced compared to similar products.
Comments about Stainless Steel Compost Crock:
I like the looks and it is very sturdy. We only received one filter with it, not two. Can you wash the filter and reuse it or do you have to by more? How long are the filters good for?
Comments about Stainless Steel Compost Crock:
Bought this particular model because it was metal. I know my 4-year old will be carrying and dumping it occasionally and I did not want to get a ceramic model in fear of her eventually dropping it. It looks good and the carbon filter in the lid seems to do a good job of keeping the odor down.
Comments about Stainless Steel Compost Crock:
Just as pictured. We like it very much
Comments about Stainless Steel Compost Crock:
Works great and looks great, too! Love it with the biobags, too.
Comments about Stainless Steel Compost Crock:
love this product, would highly recommend. I could say one neg comment, the stainless does spot if water is splashed on the outside, not really a problem just moved it away from the sink area.
Comments about Stainless Steel Compost Crock:
In Seattle we recycle/compost most everything. This is the perfect answer for storing daily kitchen scraps until our weekly green recycle pick-up. With the tight-fitting lid which houses the filters it works great!
Comments about Stainless Steel Compost Crock:
I use this in the kitchen to collect scraps for composting. I add tea leaves and coffee, with the unbleached filters. I love it because the filter works great, it's big enough that I don't have to take it out to my composter every day and it's cute enough to leave out on the counter. I am impresses with the sturdiness of the material.
Comments about Stainless Steel Compost Crock:
I have used other kitchen compost containers and this one is a good capacity and big time easiest to empty because the sides are straight...there is no struggle to empty....it is also very nice looking on the counter.
Comments about Stainless Steel Compost Crock:
it is too small to handle.it holds small amount of trash.
Comments about Stainless Steel Compost Crock:
I have had many containers for kitchen scraps and they have all had some sort of odor. This container has none. Looks great in my kitchen and is not to heavy to carry.

Works well in our kitchen on the counter, is larger than the last compost container we had and no odors, other than when you take the lid off to add matter...Husband even likes it!!--Finish cleans well.

This kitchen composter looks great in my kitchen and is large so you don't have to empty it very often. Also with the filters it has no smell what so ever! It is so easy to clean. I would recommend it to anyone who enjoys composting or anyone who wants to start!

I recently broke the lid on my stoneware compost crock when I accidentally dropped it on my granite countertop. Thought this would be a better replacement. Was pleasantly surprised to find it has a larger capacity and was easier to clean.

Comments about Stainless Steel Compost Crock:
This is an attractive container and a great size. My only real problem with it is that the lid sticks and since it has scraps in it it's a bit scary when I'm trying to pull the lid off. It could get a bit messy. The quality of the material is good though perhaps it's a bit pricey.
Comments about Stainless Steel Compost Crock:
This is a wonderful product. When I purchased I had some concerns with the size and if the fruits/vegetables would begin to decay and smell before I filled the container and emptied. However, that has not been a problem at all. I have left this on my counter for 1 week before taking it out to the compost to empty and I have not had any order issues. Very pleased!
Comments about Stainless Steel Compost Crock:
I was previously putting my organic kitchen waste in a plastic container with a snap-lid, but it was inconvenient, unattractive & smelly! This stainless steel crock is so handy and makes it easy to be "green!" I also highly recommend the biodegradable liner bags - the bag and contents go straight into your compost pile. No messy cleanup!

I bought this for my sister who has dropped and broken her ceramic crock several times and had it all glued together. This one is much lighter in weight, so is easier to carry, and it doesn't break. Plus it looks great.
