Admittedly, I bought these more for onions than potatoes. Onions are a much more regular item on the menu for me. So, right now only the onion container has anything in it. But, I love it! Ideally, I would have purchased 2 of the smaller ones as I'm certain I will never have enough potatoes to fill the larger one.

We purchased these for ourselves because we were tired of our potatoes and onions molding in the fridge - we were so very pleased with how well these products worked and our produce keeps longer. Who would have thought....just put your food in a basket. Some of the old ways are the best ways!!! My sister and her boyfriend loved ours so much we bought these baskets for them as a christmas gift. When they received the box in the mail they were hoping and saw "gardners supply company" on the box they were so hoping it was the baskets.

I had my doubts about full-sized onions and potatoes being able to fit in the access pockets--sometimes catalog photos can be deceiving. No worries here! I inverted the lid of the large basket and set the smaller basket right on top. I'm not a big fan of wicker, but these woven baskets are functional, quaint and innovative.

Not wanting a counter top or exposed setting, it was hard to find a cabinet that was large enough to accomadate the potatoe basket. Hopefully no spoilage like in the plastic bags from the store.

Well, It isn't as well constructed as it appeared. These may be based on an old European design, but they're made in China. All natural? Well, they seem to have a gloss that doesn't look like it occured in nature. These appear to be for sale elsewhere, but are highlighted as being "for decorative purposes only". Also, onion basket's opening isn't big enough to pull most onions through, but if one puts garlic in the bottom, then you can grab onions from the top and pick your garlic from the bottom opening. Also, the lids do not go on easily. However, the huge potato container does seem to be o.k. for potatoes. Easy in, easy out.

I have a set of shelves set up where I keep my recyling. The top shelf is perfect for these baskets. The room is cooler and the potatoes, onions and squash are all stored in these bakests. Love them!

I like this product for storing potatoes. They do not sprout or spoil as quickly. My biggest concern is the fact that the baskets continually have loose straw falling off so keeping them in the kitchen isn't the best idea. I originally had it in my pantry closet but moved it into the garage so I wouldn't have to keep cleaning up after it. Not a bad idea in the cooler months but when it warms up, I may not use them.

Great idea, but expensive for cheesy-looking product. Also too big for me: I keep about 10 pounds of potatoes and 5 pounds of onions at a time - these would hold 2 or 3 times that much. For me, the smaller size basket would hold my potatoes and I need an even smaller size for onions. So, too expensive, not good quality, too big for my purposes.

I use the small basket for onions and potatoes. These vegetables are keeping better than just sitting on a shelf or in the frig. The large basket has been handy for storing our gardening gloves and hats.

The look of these pieces was initially nice...until it became clear that the tops were merely decoration - neither of them fit properly. The small onion holder did not have an opening large enough for your typical store bought onions so unless you want to store massive amounts of shallots or search out tiny onions, be wary. I will probably use both of them for other storage purposes (plastic bags, rags, etc) and buy something sturdier and more utilitarian for my onions and potatos. You get what you pay for.

I am most happy with my storage baskets. The sizes were most useful to me for garlic ( small basket) and onions, (larger basket) I had too many potatoes for the bigger size - and actually would like a middle size which would allow me to put a selection of potatoes in the larger one, a selection of onions in the middle and garlic in the small. ( I realize they were sized to nest in shipping )

I love the conveniece of storing my onions and potatoes in an area that is readily accessible. Containers are relatively attractive.. I do not keep in my kitchen, but in my utility room off the kitchen. I grow my onions & potatoes and then store them for later use. Containers are easily refillable.

These baskets are perfect on the lower shelf of my kitchen worktable/island. They look great, but they are a bit larger than I had expected. No problem....they just have that much more impact! I put a plastic bag in the bottom of the baskets to keep dirt and onion skins from falling through.

These baskets are much larger than I expected. I actually could have used two of the smaller ones since it's just my husband and me. But they look great. I collect baskets, so I had to have them. My pantry will need a little rearranging to hold them correctly, but I'll get it done.

These rustically-inspired bins are beautiful and functional all in one. I'd been mulling over them for months and finally couldn't resist, and they were well worth it. I've already recommended them to all the women I know! If there were a medium-sized option, I'd scoop that up too.

The large bin is quite spacious and the smaller one works perfectly for a less "industrial" amount of potatoes/onions. In fact, given how good the bins look, if there were a medium option, I'd snatch that up too!

We entertain often and need to maintain a good supply of food. When I saw these baskets I thought they would be perfect to keep our potato and onion supply in good condition for a longer period of time. So far we have had good success with these baskets. Here in the mountains food tends to ripen quicker than on the coast so these old world baskets are proving to be useful.
