I bought these to catch water drips for my basement greenhouse. They are a perfect fit for redwood slat benches. I also ordered the rubber grates that fit inside to hold the plants out of water, but they were from India and smell like gasoline or oil. They have been off-gasing outside for a month.

Very sturdy, does exactly what it is supposed to do, which is to contain wet and muddy footwear. It is a much better value than the cheap, flimsy ones found in box stores. It holds 5 adult-sized pairs of boots, with a bit of extra room. I didn't purchase the grid insert and have found it is not necessary at all. Easily rinsed out. Because it is rigid, it will be stored on end for the Summer season.

Would work great as is...but we got the rubber grids (that can be ordered separately). That makes the perfect combo to allow the slush and junk fall off the shoes, not just sit in a puddle on the shoes. I'd definitely recommend getting both!

However most are used to protect furniture that plants often rather large sit on such as in the guest room window for light for the plants. And also use them as seedlings get going. Probably the most unconventional use of a boot tray. I use it under my cats litter box. It contains any litter and clumps my big guy manages to kick outside the box. It makes clean-up a breeze. The boot tray is stiff enough to control it while lifting it to dump the litter, but not so stiff it will snap the edges or crack. I read a review that said they put a small boot tray at the end of the kitty litter box and it kept the kitty litter from tracking out of the litter box area. I ordered two of them - one for each cat and they really do work! The cats come out of the litter box and step into the boot tray which catches the excess litter which is on their paws. This product is designed perfect. It fits under my bench with the narrow design, also for my boot rack. The trays that I have looked at in the past are always to wide and look flimsy. It is a piece of cake to clean and extremely durable. I have also used it to carry gardening tools and plant pots. A multi purpose tray! If your looking to purchase a boot tray I don't think you will find any better. I would love to see more of a variety of color's in the future. Actually, I was planning on buying the green colored trays to change it up a bit. I actually got this product to hold my many fuel jugs in the garage. I have a different one for each piece of yard equipment and each boot tray perfectly holds 2-3 jugs of 10gals or less. This works perfectly because no fuel spouts or oil containers are free of drips after use..these trays catch all and are easy to clean keeping the garage floor clear of the mess. In addition I keep the weed wacker and pole saws hanging on the wall above the same trays to catch any errant spills from the equip. The simple rectangular design works perfectly for me as well, I've seen cute curvy ones in other stores but there is too much wasted space in the design and not enough quality in the material.
Maybe I'll get around to ordering more for my boots as well!

We have a prettier boot tray by our front door, but this one is the work-horse for the truly muddy boots and gardening clogs that come in through the garage. It's sturdy, easy to clean and keeps all the wet and mess off the floor, and the price was right. My only complaint is that it's not quite big enough for a whole family's worth of boots. Guess I'll have to buy another one!

We have 2 boot trays, one on the front porch and one inside by the back door (which we use most often). They are absolutely fabulous all year round for keeping mess to a minimum and helping the kids organize their huge pile of shoes!

While these boot trays have indeed been useful for corralling wet footwear during snowfalls, what I really bought them for was my houseplants. When I am going to be away for a while, I line the trays with old towels which I saturate, then place the watered plants on top. (no saucers) I have been away for two weeks using this method, and it works great!

I bought two English Boot Trays and I use them to contain kitty litter by placing the cats' litter pans in them. The edge is high enough to keep litter from going all over the basement as my little darlings exit their pans and shake their feet. IT WORKS GREAT!

The boot tray has solved our boot mess in the back entry way. Boots fit neatly into the tray and excess grass, water and soil end up in the tray, not on the floor, thus reducing the potential of 'stuff' getting walked into the house.
