I use this for chronic pain. Love that it has a hot insert and a cold insert. Also great b/c my other hot/cold packs from the local pharmacy fit into the cover. Cover is nice and soft - and helps keep the heat/cold right where I need it.

After heating the 2 mins suggested, I forgot my wrap in the microwave and it burned holes in the cover, through to the flax seed/rice mixture, caused a terrible smell in my microwave that I had a difficult time removing. I've ordered another one because I truly believe in this product and will be more careful in the future.

This was a Christmas present to myself. I have bout of lower back pain and was having lots of pain over the holidays. I use the warmed lumbar wrap every night to ease my back when I go to bed. It is Great!

The liner is too thick to really feel the cold pack or heat pack through it. I've used it on myself without the liner, (the fuzzy outer part) and it works well. I've also used it to take the down the swelling on my horse's ankle(pasturn) joint, and it worked well since the cold pack is long enough to wrap all the way around the leg. However I doubt it was worth what my parents paid for.

I love this lumbar wrap, it is so soft and no velcro. My husband uses this wrap after. Cycling alternating cold and heat. I like to use the heat on my lower back and across my shoulder. Changing from cold to heat is very simple. Great product!

I just bought this as a gift for my husband and we have both used it already. The outside material is super soft and feels good against the skin. The tie is also handy and helps get the heat/cold onto those hard to reach places. The only drawback, and it's a minor one, is that you have to take the heat pack out of the lining each time you want to warm it up in the microwave (the outside lining has a zipper).

The cold therapy pack could not go in the freezer only the refrigerator. The wrap is nice but the cold pack was not cold enough. When I tried placing a freezer pack next to it, the gel oozed out.

I'm pregnant, so little aches and pains are pretty common. I love that I can keep this wrapped around me so that I don't have to re-adjust it every time I shift or if I have to get up for something. It's soft and comfortable, and I can keep it where I need it.

However, I was turned off that the cool pack can't be stored in the freezer long-term. Who wants to wait an hour to get relief while they are waiting for it to cool? I don't see the fridge as making it cool enough. So far, I only use the heat pack, but find that compared to my homemade heat packs (filled with rice and beans), it cools off a lot faster. I love the wrap itself, but plan to make up my own heat pack to fit inside the zippered compartment. This item is not scented, like some of the others--could be a pro or con depending on the buyer.

I love the mobility! I have a heating pad but you need to be plugged in order to use it. So I really like the fact that I can use this item and still be able to walk around the house with it.

As a sewer, I was able to add some additional seams/stitches to hold the sand/particles in place better. Otherwise the inner contents all shift down from gravity. This is the only minor complaint I have.

I love this wrap because it has two separate inserts, one for cold and one for warm so I always have what I need available right away. Also, I can strap this on after a busy day and get some relief while I'm cooking dinner or doing laundry. I don't have to wait until I have time to lie down on a pack to get relief. I purchased this product to help relieve lower back pain. Nice that you can wear it and be mobile, but then it slides down a little so feels better when you're sitting when it can be pressed up firmly against the back. It does give good warm heat relief while it lasts though. Works great for shoulder and neck pain.

I have osteo arthritis in my back. I use it to relieve pain. It's wonderful because it covers a large area and I can wrap it around my waist and it stays on even while I walk around. It is soft and comfortable. I love it!

difficult to use because have to take insert out of cover first, then it takes a number of short cycles of microwaving to heat; would prefer to just put whole thing in microwave for 2 or 3 solid minutes to heat as I have done with other wraps.
