Nice after a long day's work sitting at my desk. Very nice for winter use - warms me right up even when the thermostat is not high. Microwave the pad until the temp you want, then put back in the cover and use. The heat is very subtle (unlike a heating pad, which is usually too hot) and radiates a long time. This is a good product!!

I have not found this product to be very effective. It took numerous attempts to find the correct time and setting for the microwave warming. Even after several uses, I never seem to get it quite right.

This warmer doesn't measure up to what I can put together with an old pillowcase and pearled barley. I had hoped to get a nice cover, but for me, the material is unpleasant to touch. For some unknown reason there is a metal zipper, so you must struggle the awkward, under-filled, crescent-shaped insert in and out of its flimsy cover every time you want to top up the heat. Item doesn't hold heat very well, so this is a downer.

I love this item! I have a heating pad but you need to be plugged in order to use it. So I really like the fact that I can use this item and still be able to walk around the house with it.

As a sewer, I was able to add some additional seams/stitches to hold the sand/particles in place better. Otherwise the inner contents all shift down from gravity. This is the only minor complaint I have.

My daughter has been in the military for 10 years. She has had two tours to Afghanistan and has just been reassigned to the Middle East for a brief tour but will be gone for Thanksgiving. The 7th Thanksgiving away from home. But as she says, "It comes with the territory."

As she has moved up in rank the stress increases as any military veteran knows! We were talking and she had mentioned how the stress at times just makes her neck muscles twist into knots.

This is great when heated in the microwave, but the inside has to be removed from the cover to do so. The cover has a metal zipper which can't go in the microwave. This extra step just makes heating a little more time consuming.

I have constant neck and shoulder pain from sitting in front of a computer all day and this wrap is wonderful at easing the pain. I just pop it in the microwave for 2 1/2 minutes and I've got about 30 minutes of moist heat therapy. It works great!

The one con is the slight smell from the grain they use for the filling but its something I've gotten used to and doesnt bother me at all. It smells very nutty.
