Don't stop when the tub seems full. Pile more stuff in the middle, between the handles. REALLY pile it on. The tub's flexibility makes it easy to carry. I was able to fit all of the cut-up branches from a smoke tree into my pretty purple tub.

I find this works better than a clothes basket for taking clothing to be hung on the line. I love the fact that it is so flexable you can carry it with one hand leaving the other free to open doors, gates, etc. It is great for putting vegetables in to take in the house as dirt does not fall through and it is so easy to clean.

I use these trugs when weeding, pruning, deadheading. They are sturdy, have a large capacity, and thanks to the bright colors, you don't lose them in the garden when you become distracted by a particularly challenging group of weeds around the next corner. You can easily tote huge amounts of garden waste to the composter. I also transport divisions from my perennial gardens to family and friends. They don't dry out, and my car doesn't get dirty. I even move my fish from their winter holding tanks to my pond in these trugs. They are so much more comfortable to use that my old "Big Box Store" buckets.
But one warning: If you are married, you'd better get at least two, because you and your spouse will find yourselves fighting over who gets to use the trug when you garden together!

I HATE WEEDING!! So anything that makes it a little easier gets a thumbs up in my opinion. I use it for the pulled weeds. Since I can carry it with one hand, I can also carry my hand rake in the other. The wide top makes it easy to just toss things in. Much nicer than the 5-gal. bucket I was using before.

Our recycling is picked up curbside year round. We have to sort items and use our own containers. I wanted something sturdy and weatherproof to replace the brown paper grocery bags I usually used. I started w/ one trug many years ago. I have 7 now including the one I use for a laundry basket.
They make great haulers for everything - water, dirt, rocks, bricks - you name it! I use them for weeding, they have flat bottoms so just pull them along w/ you. Neighbor across the street uses one to collect their home grown produce, another friend uses hers for a beer cooler when they entertain. They make great rain gathering reservoirs during the rainy season. I use them when harvesting herbs and flowers for potpourri.
Lord knows how I ever got along w/out them! Another friend on a farm uses it for hauling grain and feed to their critters. The uses are nearly endless. Wish they were a little more UV resistant, but that's probably not as big an issue up North. But they still last for 3 or 4 years even here, and they're outdoors 12 months a year. Oh - good for hauling bird seed too!

I had been using a hard plastic kitty litter container for my weeds/leaves in the garden which would tip over often on my sloping terraced garden. The Tubtrug sits on the hillside and doesn't tip, it kind of molds to the land beneath it and grips on to it! I had eyed this for over a year and finally treated myself to it. I wish I hadn't waited so long, I got the Red and it's a nice cheery Red. I haven't used it for a party yet but I think it will be perfect for drinks out on the deck. Since the trug is flexible, there is no awkwardness to using it to fill or to empty. I have arthritis most everywhere and it's lack of weight means I can do so much more. The ease of emptying it, because it is a soft as it is strong may be my favorite reason for using it. I purchased two in the bright orange. I have the tubtrug in many sizes and colors. They are helpful for carrying all of my gardening supplies out to the garden and then for carrying the weeds back to the compost. My boys, ages 5 & 7, use them to collect the grass clippings they rake up. The tubtrug is lightweight and flexible enough for them to carry the clippings back to the compost. The most recent tubtrugs I received were put into use inside moving my children's toys from the living room and kitchen back into the toy room. I would also like to add that I accidentally left one of my tubtrugs outside for an entire Wisconsin winter. You cannot tell which of my tubs was left out side. The flexibility of the tubs makes them good for spreading mulch. They can be squished to form a spout and then the mulch goes right where you want it. I have purchased tubtrugs for myself and received them as gifts (because I requested them).

I want one in every color! Incredibly handy, spacious, distributes weight well. Only one con: Could the handles be longer? I schlep to the local greenmarket and bring plants/shrubs home on the subway. While my purchases fit well inside the trug, the shrubs are often too tall to allow me to bring the handles together. I have to improvise with a plastic bag tied lengthwise as a long handle.

Also: Could you offer one in black? Maybe with a tres chic contrasting stripe encircling the top? I live in Manhattan, where black is the new black. THEN I would definitely carry it everywhere!

Have had the large size for several years, use it ALOT. This spring i got it out of the shed and left it in the veg garden out in the sun probably for a week or so. I picked it up yesterday and the handle broke. So sad...but ordering two more. It served well...but i think keeping it out of the sun is a good idea!! The 11 gal size is perfect for prunings, deadheading, weeding, big enough to make fewer trips to dump it but small enough it doesnt get too heavy.

Mix and carry my compost soil mixture around to various garden spots, then fill with water to wash outdoor tools. Storage in the garage for garden tools.
Indoors, there are 2 in laundry room for storage, another near deck door filled with Crocs and dog toys, one in living room with toys, and one in the craft room with supplies.

I love these tubs. I love the colors. I just order 4 in different sizes and plan to use them for my son's graduation party. I have had some for 4 years and they looks like new. I've used many weed collection containers over the years and these tubs are at the top of my list. Love the colors. Easy, upright and functional with easy grip handles to use. I use them every day to haul rocks, weeds, lawn sod, soil, compost and transplants. They hold up to the heavy tasks during the garden season, while most other deteriorate before season ends. I have noticed that in the extreme cold with a heavy load the handles can break, I no longer do this, and have some of the same tubs for 3 years running.

One use of this product is for carting loose mulch from my lake cabin to my home. We buy mulch in bulk at the cabin, then cart a couple tubs of it home every week for use in our backyard. The tubs themselves are lightweight and filled with mulch, they load in the back of the SUV and can be stacked.

The colors of these tubtrugs just make me happy as i go about my chores. They are great for recycling bins, not too heavy, flexible to fit through smaller spaces and hold enough trimmings to clean up a large oleander bush. I don't know how well they will hold up over time, but for the two months i've had them, they have been fine on the deck.

I have had a few of these of different sizes for several years, and they serve all sorts of purposes, from harvesting, to holding soil to be moved, to holding large amounts of composting materials before I get to the bin. They wear well, except for one, which was left out over winter in the garden, exposed to everything, and the handles broke off and it cracked. Another not quite so exposed is still intact. Usually these are slightly protected over winter, out of the sun.

I bought this to use under the leaf shredder as shown in the catalog. As these came in different sizes, it would have been helpful to know the height of each one as well as the amount (gallons) for ordering. I ordered the largest assuming that it would work under the shredder. It falls about four inches short of the bottom of the shredder so the leaves tend to miss the tubtrug as they fall from the bottom of the shredder.

We first used your trugs two years ago when the gardener we'd hired to help us revamp our perennial beds brought hers. We knew we had to have them and bought three, 2 large and one medium, in the bright red and orange so they wouldn't get lost. They are soo useful and since lightweight, great for bringing compost and mulch from the piles to the plants we were putting in. I use a smaller one to bring my tools to wherever I'm working, and larger ones for pruned material; as I'm working, I can bring them into the beds with me, and move them with me. My sister however was aghast that we sent her a plastic product and asked, is it recyclable? I advised it would last forever, so not to worry. Is it?

I love tubtrugs. They are probably the tool I use most in my garden--mixing soil, catching the results of weeding, pruning and clipping, carrying seedlings, etc & etc. They are lightweight, durable and easy to carry. I must have a dozen of these of various sizes and the uses are endless, with their flexibility making them so much better than a bucket in most instances. As I separate rock and gravel from the soil dug when I plant things, I store them in tubtrugs and let rainfall rinse the remaining dirt from the hard stuff before using it elsewhere. Also great for catching shredder or chipper output. I've only had one spring a leak over the years. I do wish I could find another of the large, low ones.

I bought 5 of these about 2 years ago. They've lasted beautifully until this year. We got an early snow with very cold weather in September. Every one of them cracked beyond repair when I tried to carry the handles with one hand. Bummer. I would still use this product, but not in very cold weather!

I have three of this size and one each of the other two sizes. I just ordered one of each size for my daughter. We use them inside to soak stained clothes, wash the children's play shoes, carry tomatoes, apples, etc. inside for canning, carrying things (like canning jars, laundry, toys) from one level to another or from my house to hers...I could go on and on!
Of course, I use mine outside too. The big ones will hold a half sack of mulch which is much easier for me to carry throughout my flower gardens. Because they are so flexible, it is easy to load and unload the mulch, dirt, etc. The grandkids and I also carry gravel, pinecones, sunflower heads, newspapers (for under the mulch), doll babies, toys of all kinds, etc!

After the first season or two, the handles broke and the tub cracked in the area of the handles. After that they were only good for lighter jobs or just sitting in one spot. It's not that they weren't useful after the handles broke, but they weren't as sturdy as I would have liked.

We have used the Tubtrug for a variety of jobs. I collect garden waste as I prune and reshape plants and shrubs. We used them to gather tomatoes and sweet corn and other maturing vegetables. Our yard is almost 3 acres and the Tubtrugs are wonderful for carrying gardening equipment long distances because they're so lightweight. And since they are so lightweight and tough, my 3 year old and 18 month old grandsons can drag them around with birdseed and toys in them. I highly recommend the Tubtrug.

It gets used to catch rainwater, mixing soils, hauling weeds & composte. Easy to clean out with the hose! Our adult daughters appreciated getting theirs for Mother's Day.

I bought 11&7 gal trugs for something easier to drag around doing weeding and yard chores. Love the colors( sky blue and lavander)even just sitting out empty, but makes me more interested in my chores 'cuz they're...Happy colors :) really great to water with,when handles together forms pouring spout so you can be "more accurate" with your aim, water being at a premium.One problem...strong enough to carry more water weight from rain barrel than I should sooo...note to self; Grab 7 gal. be kind to back!! I use for everything.

I use this tub as my weed bucket and it is the perfect size. It is nice and wide and holds more than my old bucket so I make less trips to the greens can. Because of its flexible material it is easy to carry - even one handed.

This is so much better than a bucket - or two! The one I ordered is larger than I was expecting and I love it. I plan to order another, so I have one for rocks and one for weeds, or one for flowers and one for weeds, or whatever I am doing. It also held everything necessary for the dog's bath in the outside shower!

I have always used bushel baskets in the past but the splints tend to break and yard material fall through the cracks. The plastic tubs are light weight and wonderful. I have one in each size and they are great for all jobs!

I bought my first tub two years ago. It was so useful I bought two more, including a smaller one. I use the larger ones for soil, mulch, weeds and even small plants. I load the tubs into my garden cart so I only have to make one trip. I chose bright colors so I could spot them on the lawn.

I use the tubrug for weeding and carrying my garden tools. wonderful and versatile in nature. I have two sizes and use them both. wonderful for carrying items back and forth to my rv.

We use it to carry weeds, garden waste, grass, etc. to the compost pile, and to carry compost to the garden. It is also handy carrying harvest (potatoes, onions, et .) to the house. With lighter loads it is useful to be able to bring the two handles together for one hand carrying. The traditional bushel basket is hard to let go of, but this product beats it.

I use my tubtrug to carry weeds to the compost pile, then the mulch for the plants, works well for when I divide my plants to hold the plants until I can find a new home for them. I have one in almost every color. I just wished that Gardeners supply carried the larger sized ones as well.

I use the Tub Trug for collecting dirty laundry, I use it on my stairs to put things
in it that need to go upstairs.
I use it in my truck to carry hats, gloves, jacket, baseball caps, etc... It is a wonderful product. And I highly recommed it to my friends.
