The globes are wonderful. I have given many for gifts. I would have rated this a five, but I am so disappointed that the smaller globes were discontinued. I put roses in them, put the globe back in the container and wrap. Everyone loves them.

I baught a simular item 30 years ago and loved and used it often finally the rubber seal wore out. Hoping to replace it with this item I was very disapointed. The rubber seal is imposable to put on and take off. By the time you wresle the seal on you have screwed up any arrangment no matter how simple,is out of the bottom floating in many bubblesat the top, not the look I was going for. My friend had one of these vases and I just fell in love with it. I asked her where she had gotten it and she said she bought it at the Puyallup Fair. I have been going to the fair every year since then (5-6) to look just for this vase and had never found the booth that sold them. When I received your magazine and was flipping through it, at first I passed the item up. When it finally registered in my brain, I quickly flipped back to the page. I really couldn't believe it. After all this time, I finally found them. I was so excited that I had to buy 9 of them so I could give four of my friends a beautiful christmas present. Of course where I live, Shelton, WA., now is not the time for fresh flowers, but I can't wait for spring to arrive. Thank you Gardeners.

I gave this as a gift to my dad on Christmas as he is an avid gardener. He cut out a rose with some holly from one of the flower arrangements he had received and it made a beautiful Christmas centerpiece. Only drawback is that it is quite heavy once filled with water.

I had put one perfect yellow rose in my small sized aquarium and it lasted for just about five months! Could not believe how beautiful it looked all during that time! Unbelieveable. I just love this product. I have given it as a gift to several of my friends. It is enhanced by setting the base in a 10" wreath of some sort. Gives it a finished look. Just plain greenery works well.

I have been using the flower aquarium for many years. It is perfect for putting a dried arrangement from a loved one's funeral. It lasts for many years without being ruined by dust. I have given these as memorial gifts much to the delight of family and friends.

I thought this item might be a bit large, but it is the perfect size. It looks amazing on our dining room table. Not only does it look great, but roses from our garden and delicate honey suckle flowers have lasted nearly 2 weeks in it. Even my husband loves it. He slyly threw away the box noting it was too beautiful to be in storage. One added benefit I hadn't anticipated, the cats can't nibble on our center piece anymore.

The only minor hitch was that there were no directions. I quickly found the holes really needed more than one stem to fit snugly. We had a bit more difficulty fitting the base on the globe. It finally took a slender tool under the last bit of edge to get it on correctly. Now that we have it figured it will be a snap next time.

I wish the base screwed on instead of using a rubber gasket-like cover that's hard to put on the glass dome. Also, the smaller version wasn't available, so I took the larger one, but it's really too large.

Love the aquarium but wish there had been more explanation or pictures of how to use EX: what stage of flower to use? etc.

Also very much wish the Smaller aquarium was still availabe. I find it hard to put enough in the large one to make it look good. The smaller one would be better for only 1 or2 flowers.

I use the flower aquarium as a decorative desk ornament. We've had contests at work to see who can come up with the most innovative design. In addition to flowers we've added ribbon, glitter an are constantly talking about other items we can integrate into our designs. Note: Adding the vinegar is a very important step. The globe will get cloudy without it...

Mother had one quite like this when I was young.My only complaint is, the glass if thin. It requires care not to break when handling.
Vinegar does work in keeping the water clear a long time.I think it makes a wonderful gift and have given them to my sons

The flower aquarium lives on my breakfast table and i keep seasonal flowers in it at all times. I enjoy experimenting with various flowers. Most things do really well in it and the most beautiful I have found is an amaryllis. Impatiens, because of their fragility, don't do well. Pansies are great to use in the winter.

My mother used to have one in her and at that time I used to think that this aquarium was a little bit tacky...
..but then,as usual,we turn out to understand more about everything when we grow up...and about the charming behind a tacky stuff...that isn't tacky BUT romantic!!!

I looked for this aquarium here in Brasil and didn't find it. Fortunately there's the internet to make ours wishes come true!

(I just have to say that the SMALL aquarium doesn't work well.Maybe to use in a dinner table to decorate each place mat.)

This is one of the most stunning items I have added to my home. I have used it during the winter with only fresh cut evergreens, spring flowers, summer flowers and those from the floral shop. While not all flowers will last several days (jonquils, carnations and peonies) some last a surprisingly long time--especially roses. I have put roses from corsages in it and they have lasted over a week--fresh cut roses are still beautiful two weeks later! For the inexpensive price, you won't find a more stunning and discussed centerpiece or accent.

This was a gift for my grandmother. I underestimated the size of the Aquarium, but rather than return it, I filled it and shipped it to her (no leaks or mess...ships well with careful packing). Her complaint is that it's too big and heavy for her to "re-pot," to which she stated she'd leave it in her basement for me to have someday. :) She did love the arrangement when it arrived, though!

Bought if for a friend and one for myself. I put a large rose inside and it was quite a site to see. However, the vinigar made the rose color fade. I then tried other flowers but it works best without the vinegar. Just have to change the water and flower every five days. It would be better if the part you put the stems in was like a cross cut X so that you could put any size in and it would not float back out once you flip it over. I tried it with aquatic plants and that worked but some of them did float out to the top.

The picture of this item looked just beautiful so I ordered one. After around 5 tries of setting different blossoms in the dome I gave up. The blossom ended up too high or too low. It really has to be placed perfectly in order for it to look good. Unfortunately, I'm not perfect.

A peony lasted 5 weeks in this container and continued looking great! Friends have been thrilled with this unique way to show off their flowers. I put mine on a silver tray and use as a centerpiece for dinner guests. My mother had one similar to this when I was a child and I enjoyed it even then. Thanks.

I have a large flower aquarium in my home and a small one in our Fla. winter home. I keep them filled with flowers the year round. Several of the flower aquariums I have given as gifts for birthdays or just to someone who loves flowers as I do. I have two more on order now and doubt if that will be my last order.
