The SunCalc makes finding the right place for the right plant much easier. It takes the guesswork out of determining the amount of light a spot gets on a sunny day. Particularly handy is that it stores the last reading taken. Quite helpful for those of us who have trouble focusing on one thing at a time, like writing down a day's light reading.

The SunCalc determines exactly what kind of lighting conditions I am working with so planning the garden and putting the right plants in the right spot is no longer a mystery. well...
It takes a 12 hour reading and it is exciting to see the results. I move it around and re-read areas as the sun angle changes. The SunCalc is a great tool.

The Suncalc is a gem of aproduct. Paid for itself the very first time I used it and about a thousand times over since then. Granted I am just getting started as gardener but this really helped me select the right plants for the right place. No guessing required about how much sun a area received.

Our yard and garden is very shady. We were always trying plants that say "partial sun". This product
showed us that we are more "shady" than we thought, which is why so many plants have failed.
We now specialize in plants that thrive in the shade.

Even if you've gardened for a long time, there are some areas that you just aren't sure about. And if you're new to gardening, how do you know if an area is full sun or only partial? It isn't always as easy as 'this side faces south'. What an easy way to make sure you put the right plants in the right spot before you waste a lot of time and money!

I find it very hard to analyze the amount of light in my yard. It is a very complicated space with trees and open areas. After experiencing frustration with plants not performing as well as I thought they should I began to suspect that I was miscalculating the amount of light that they were receiving. Using the Sun Clac has really been helpful in diagnosing the quality of light in various areas.
