Where were the instructions? What do you do with the center pole assembly? did not fit to hold pole together. Purpose was not clear. Proper assembly was not clear. Will see how it holds up on our southwest winds.

planted totmatoes in it... a word of advice make sure before you load it, that you have it where you want it... very hard to move afterwards... also you make sure anchor it if exposed to the wind!!! other than that, the product is excellent for the lazy gardener like myself but like lots of fresh home grown tomatoes. i did have one problem that was a couple of poor welds that broke once i had it loaded...will have to have it repaired this fall when i take it down for storage.
Comments about Four-Arm Plant Hanger:
Much easier growing tomatoes on the back deck and not having to bend down to get them. A good space saver and attractive.

[...] I started my tomatoes with standard hangers. They were not up to the job. I now have my my plants growing in a small area of a flower garden and the effect is quite attractive.
Comments about Four-Arm Plant Hanger:
This unit is very unstable as the 4 plant holders make it very top-heavy, and the unit itself is quite flimsy. Any strong wind knocks this down even when it is sitting on a deck. We have had to use rope to try to stabilize it. This companies description of sturdy and stable is very close to false advertising. I would not recommend this.

This is exactly what you need for the hanging planters.
Comments about Four-Arm Plant Hanger:
The hanger is pleasing to the eye and is well constructed with one drawback. You must build it exactly where you want it because if you try to move it the legs fall out off. I plan on fixing this problem with "lock tight" or/and "gorilla glue". I have been extremely happy with everything I have purchased from Gardeners Supply. I bought this too late in the season to use this year.

Ideal for the flowering (annual) vines that reach at least 5 feet in length(height)

My stand is secured to the ground with earth staples. It doesn't move! We had high winds that pulled some tomatoes off but the stand didn't budge.

this is a MUST have for upsidedown gardening...i went through 4 different shepards hooks- none of which could hold the weight of my upsidedown tomatoes!! this is sturdy and easy to use...holds 4 without a problem!!
Comments about Four-Arm Plant Hanger:
I have 2 tomato plants on the hanger - very nice way to grow them. Having the planter on our deck
is a plus - we can step out of the kitchen and get veggies whenever we want.
Comments about Four-Arm Plant Hanger:

It is described as free standing for use on patio or deck but it is not. Directions are included which indicate support is needed and which show how to support it. There are holes in the bottom legs and the middle pole. Metal hoops are provided to be used on lawn. Screws to attach it to the deck are recommended but not provided. We have a concrete patio - screws would not work. We have it placed on a slightly uneven yard surface in a good sun location. So far, so good. We have not seen a better product and this is working well for us. We would buy it again it the need arose.
