Applied several weeks ago, so there hasn't been a growing season to evaluate. However, the garden is looking good so far and this product was easy to use. It comes highly recommended through many gardening articles.

Comments about Greensand, 5 Lbs.:
It is too early to say really. The veggies grow so far but I can not say if it is due to the greensand. The heirloom rose seems to have liked it and may recover. I like easy to use fertilizer and it is easy to use. About the smell, well, smells are natural and the smell is not too bad.
Comments about Greensand, 5 Lbs.:
Love this product! It makes for gourmet earing for my japanese maples, roses, and assorted other potted plants. And you can hear the, "AH!" when I add it in with a compost top-dressing to my flower garden soil. Organic, easy, and worth every cent.

Comments about Greensand, 5 Lbs.:
It's early in the season but so far my tomatoes are so healthy with lots of blooms. They are so perfect they look like fake plants. I'm anxious to see how this affects my overall yield.
Comments about Greensand, 5 Lbs.:
I use this on my climbing roses and clementis for a solid month of blooms.
Comments about Greensand, 5 Lbs.:
I have used this product in the past for my tomatoes. Here in Hawaii much of our soil is depleted as a result of plantation farming without crop rotation. The soil is very clay-like and hard to work with. Green sand and compost really help a lot!

Comments about Greensand, 5 Lbs.:
The cement mix that purports to be soil in my back yard is highly alkaline. Roses and most other plants suffer from chlorosis. Two applications of greensand a year prevent this. My tomatoes taste better too. Try it. You'll like it as I do. It won't stain like the liquid iron suppliments plus it supplies a little pH modification in highly alkaline soil.

I've nevet tried this before & its now a "MUST HAVE" in my gardening shed. In Seattle we get alot of rain, so important minerals get washed away quickly - this made an immediate difference I could see in 1 week.

Comments about Greensand, 5 Lbs.:
Have used greensand for seveal years to enhance the dense clay soil where I live. Accidentally spilled some on the asparagus bed one fall and next spring that area outproduced the rest of the bed. Iris also seem to appreciate the mineral dose!
Comments about Greensand, 5 Lbs.:
Use 1/2 cup sprinkled around the rose bush, work into soil.
Comments about Greensand, 5 Lbs.:
I put it on all my house plants to start and they are all doing really well. Some were not doing so good and they are doing great now. A little bit goes a long way. Can't wait to use on my flower beds and vegetable garden this year.

Will be using the product in a new vegetable garden I am in the process of digging. Will add to the soil sometime in November to have time to work in over the winter.
Comments about Greensand, 5 Lbs.:
Martha Stewart is a big believer in Green Sand. At her recommendation on her TV Show, I mixed the Green Sand in with my soil when I transplanted the tomato plants that I started by seed indoors. My Tomato Plants grew to six feet tall and four feet wide last year, and I give the Green Sand a lot of credit for that incredible growth!
Comments about Greensand, 5 Lbs.:
Great to have greensand as an option as it is not available locally. [...] Greensand is helpful with our clay soil, and with starting a new garden again it has been a much sought after product and a definite 'must have' on my list.

Comments about Greensand, 5 Lbs.:
I've just started using this product on some roses that are very disease and pest prone. They seem to be recovering from an early bout of black spot better than past years but I probably won't know for another season just how effective this product is.
Comments about Greensand, 5 Lbs.:
Used this product in mid to later spring. The blooms on my roses, hydrangeas and day and asiatic lilies were unbelievable. Pity I ordered this product too late for my irises.
Comments about Greensand, 5 Lbs.:
My tomatoes seem to love this stuff.

Comments about Greensand, 5 Lbs.:
I love greensand and use with most everything I plant. Will have to admit I have a beautiful garden, and do not have a green thumb. Just determination, patience and do a lot of thought and study.....along with hard work. Everyone asks for my soil "recipe" because it works, and always contains greensand.
Comments about Greensand, 5 Lbs.:
We used it in the gardens to loosen the clay soil and to nourish soils that have been long neglected by previous owner
Comments about Greensand, 5 Lbs.:
This is one of the must haves for my garden, I love it because it's naturally beneficial, has no odor and because the plants are encouraged to be healthier from the root. We don't believe in using anything that will leave a harmful residue either for ourselves or for any of natures creatures that we welcome into our garden. So simple and easy to mix into the soil, fine texture doesn't clump and works like a dream. We sprinkle it in the hole upon planting and then come back mid-summer and give it a 2nd dose as a side dressing. My roses and all my plants are so much stronger and sturdier since we have introduced this into our gardening.
Comments about Greensand, 5 Lbs.:
Helps with my clay-rich soil.
Comments about Greensand, 5 Lbs.:
Used it on rose bushes and vegetable garden.
Comments about Greensand, 5 Lbs.:
I am using greensand for the first time this year and the plants are amazing. Last year, without greensand, most of the plants were sick, small and didn't produce much. It could be the greensand or it could be the GSO tomato fertilizer I used this year. I've read greensand is good, I say its great!
Comments about Greensand, 5 Lbs.:
I use this on my rose beds, potted hydrangeas, and camelias. It really brings out the colors and is easy to use.
Comments about Greensand, 5 Lbs.:
We put this on our roses and are anxious to see how they do this summer.
Comments about Greensand, 5 Lbs.:
I use it on all our potted flowers and the roses too. It's an all purpose fertilizer with a Kick-it-up something special. Our flowers never have looked so good.
Comments about Greensand, 5 Lbs.:
Used it years ago, and redisicovered it as a way to enhance blooms and colors.

Sent a soil sample to the university. Report came back with excellent soil, all nutrients were very high. Only potassium/potash was moderately high. Gardener's Supply had greensand which will add the needed potash for more flavorful tomatoes. Thanks Gardener's Supply.

I use it in spring to encourage growth for my roses. Gardening here in MN We must take every advantage possible due to our somewhat shorter growing season.

Comments about Greensand, 5 Lbs.:
I am getting new beds established in a predominantly sand area. Even though I have sand - it is highly washed and lacking many nutrients. The easy to spread, no odor or stain of this product made it a wonderful addition to getting my area's up and running quickly. I have been a avid container gardner for years and even using it on my potted plants made them all spring to life even more than using manures and compost alone - I was surprised! I will continue to use this product every season on my large vegetable and herb beds as well as lawn and citrus and flowers. I just wish it was something that would stay put longer but in time my own soil and beds will be better able to retain these nutrients.

Comments about Greensand, 5 Lbs.:
Before I plant, I mix greensand into the planting base (compost, shredded leaves, potting soil, peat moss -- depending on the plant). I have waited to plant shrubs and trees if I am out of it. I add it to container mixes. I wouldn't plant anything without it.

Comments about Greensand, 5 Lbs.:
I used this to mix into the soil in a new garden bed for roses and the roses are doing spectacularly well for plants only a year in the ground. I think the trace minerals make a big difference when reviving suburban soil that's been compacted by construction and had the nutrient rich topsoil removed.

Comments about Greensand, 5 Lbs.:
I have used greensand for several years and it brings out the best in my flowers. The plants are not shocked by commercial chemical fertilizers and the results are not instantainious but over the next year or so, the plants seem more filled out, bloom profusely, and don't seem bothered by insects. I have used it in organic containers and the plants also seem to bounce back better after hot days.
