No, I would not recommend this to a friend

I looked for just plain sulphur. This is advertised as "elemental sulphur" but is mostly gypsum. I used it anyway but am disgusted.

Used this on my hydrangeas which had been pink and white. The next set of blooms came in a rich dark blue, darker blue than any hydrangeas I'd seen in our area! Impressive!

Comments about Soil Acidifier, 5 Lbs.:

We sprinkled 2 cups of sulfur at the base of new blueberry bushes to acidify the soil. It was easy and safe to use. We were happy to find it at Gardener's Supply Company; we could not find it locally.

Comments about Soil Acidifier, 5 Lbs.:

I used the garden sulpher this past fall to pack my dahlia tubers for the winter. I did check on them every month over the winter to make sure that the tubers looked healthy and were not drying out. I had a very high success rate with over-wintering the tubers and I contribute that to the mixture of vermiculite with sulpher. I would recomment this to others to try.

I used this to lower the soil pH for my seed potatoes. Seems to have worked very well since there was litle scab on the potatoes.
