Comments about Y Stakes:
I have a variety of plant supports. These are by far the most useful and versatile for me. But, they are no longer available. :-(
Comments about Y Stakes:
Y stakes are so useful in containing certain plants as they get high in the summer. I use them for my Shasta Daisies and anything else that gets tall and threatens to cover the walkway. The Y stakes do not show very much so the flowers, etc. are still the main point of the area.
Comments about Y Stakes:
The wide circle on this stake is really wonderful for staking up dahlias and other flowers with multiple bloom stems.

Comments about Y Stakes:
My husband liked the product and will use it.
Comments about Y Stakes:
I use the Y-stakes on periennials that tend to get hit by the overhead watering-system. The stakes keep them tall and perky!
Comments about Y Stakes:
While I use stem supports and gatherers for lilies, these stakes will surround, control, and/or support anything tall, bushy and tending to flop: oriental poppies, globe thistle, "golden glow", baptisia, asters, yarrow, tall gaillardia. These stakes link together in rows, in circles, in odd shapes, whatever.
I would not be without them.
Comments about Y Stakes:
I use these when I don't want plants to flop over the path or bed line, and taller ones for the really tall plants that tend to flop in wind or rain. Sturdy, flexible, and last a long time.

Comments about Y Stakes:
These stakes are so easy and versatile. There are no strings or twist ties needed. They are simple and practical to use and yet take nothing away from the visual. In otherwords, they blend in so well you hardly notice that your plants are staked!
Comments about Y Stakes:
These always hold peonies up to be seen, and are easily hidden from view by color, design and placement. I love them!
Comments about Y Stakes:
this produt containes ornamental grasses from flopping over in the middle of the season
Comments about Y Stakes:
Although I had wire cages around the base of my peonies, the blooms and stems were long enough and heavy enough that they were bent, almost to the ground. I added the 3ft Y-stakes and was able to lift the blossoms for a much better display. The stakes are almost invisible. The Y-stakes are great for phlox, too.
Comments about Y Stakes:
The Y Stakes are so versatile - you can adjust them to fit flowers or vegetables!
Comments about Y Stakes:
Good product. It's nice to be able to move the wire arms where you need them.
Comments about Y Stakes:
These are the best stakes I have found. Because the Y's are flexible you can bend them to fit your plant. They are hardly visible. I just wish they came in small sizes to hold up floppy bulbs like freesias.
Comments about Y Stakes:
I needed something medium-tall to work in the difficult spots toward the back of my perrennial beds and this did the trick! I can use it "flat" to hold up tall stalks or use it to bunch some of the flimsier tall items together. It hides well in amongst the plants and is slim and easy to install (without impaling roots or dormant items). It's exactly what I needed!
Comments about Y Stakes:
i needed flexible support at various heights & the 47" & 35" Y stakes gave me that
Comments about Y Stakes:
We use the supports primarily for Dahlias and they are great. Because of the green color, they blend into the landscape very well.
Comments about Y Stakes:
It is next to impossible to find supports in local garden centers other than those that are simply a straight pole. These Gardener's Supply stakes are both attractive and offer full support of my plants without having to use ties.

Comments about Y Stakes:
It is not what it appears to be.
Comments about Y Stakes:
I use these EVERY year to hold up my sprawling peonies and lillies. The arms are so flexible yet sturdy, the hold anything. Also with the color you don't even notice tem in the garden.
My gardening friends keep "borrowing" my supply and I never seem to gt them back!

Comments about Y Stakes:
Here at The Cotton-Arbo retum,in Winchester, Ma., these Y stakes are as important as our shovels and pruners. This is particularly true in the fall, when tall perennials and ornamental grasses(both short and tall) get top heavy, and when sedums splay and so many perennials get 'blousy'(a great British expression.)We also use them for shrubs and small trees, to keep branches from shading out nearby plants, or from fountaining out over a pathway. For our vines, particularly honeysuckle and clematis,we use Y stakes to guide baby vines upward and onto a larger support, be that a fence, tree, arbor or obelisk. With our many ornamental grasses, we begin staking them in late June with the shorter 2 ' or 3' Y stakes, and then we add the tallest Y stakes as the grasses ascend.Because we leave our grasses up for the winter, we leave the Y stakes in place and remove them the following spring when we cut back the grasses to the ground. The stakes weather beautifully, with none of the colored coating chipping off. In fact, except for scratches or dirt, they never look weathered.
We find the opened Y stakes easiest to store, not in a canister/barrel, but in the ground, in an out of the way garden corner or behind a gate.
Our only wish for them to change would be for them to be able to penetrate rock (we are in New England, after all!) but we think that is a bit of an unreasonable wish on our part!!
Comments about Y Stakes:
These are the best stakes I have ever used to hold up thick dalia stocks AND they are attractive
Comments about Y Stakes:
Easily moved around the yard as tall plants bloom, supports flowers so they do not fall over.
Comments about Y Stakes:
The wires did not stay in place well enough and the poles were too thick and showed up too much
Comments about Y Stakes:
This support is very easy to use, and helped my floppy plants! The green color helps the support blend in with the plant.
Comments about Y Stakes:
Made my Snow Drops gorgeous.
Comments about Y Stakes:
One of the most versitile and effective garden aids I have found. Adaptable to so many situations especially large and unruly plants. I love how they help me keep these large, overgrown plants in check, while not making them look like bound up soldiers. The color and material make them disappear into the planting bed making them a stealth support system. Love them.
Comments about Y Stakes:
Excellent product - blends in well with our extremely tall grasses.
Comments about Y Stakes:
These are great for medium to tall plants which tend to flop over in the garden and they blend in with the foliage.
Comments about Y Stakes:
Nice idea and camoflages easily into background
Comments about Y Stakes:
Great for leggy stand alone flowers, and it's unobtrusive also.
Comments about Y Stakes:
The balloon flowers and monarda really appreciate assistance in standing upright! The humming birds are grateful too.
Comments about Y Stakes:
perfect support for tall lillies
Comments about Y Stakes:
My Echinacea were so tall, they were laying down on the lawn and other plants. With the Y Stakes, I could adjust the "Y" to support the blooms that were laying down. As only one side of the plant was on the lawn, I only needed one adjustable "Y" stake.
Comments about Y Stakes:
wish the length of the stake in the ground was mentioned. i could have used the taller one
Comments about Y Stakes:
I couldn't find anything I needed anywhere. I looked in 4 cities, including major garden centers. I was thrilled to find exactly what I was looking for in Gardener's Supply Company. I have very tall lilies that keep falling over. The stakes I did have were too short and flimsy. These are strong and tall and work great. I recommend them. Great price too.
Comments about Y Stakes:
I have been buying and using all sizes of these supports for many years. Everything here in Houston grows larger and lives longer than elsewhere, so many of my plants eventually need them. I start out with the small supports, and am usually using the taller ones by mid summer. I have given some away to neighbors, along with your name and number/website. A few "arms" have broken from repeated use and bending, but never w/o years of faithful service!
Comments about Y Stakes:
The Y stakes are perfect to envelope the unruly stems of shasta daisies. I love how they keep the top-heavy stems from overshadowing & falling all over the companion plants. The color blends into the plant so the staking is not obvious. The stakes are well-made and can be reused season after season.
Comments about Y Stakes:
Bending the wires to accommodate the plant(s) is harder than it would seem (I couldn't achieve a nice rounded shape). The spike portion would look better in green (like the plant wire supports), rather than brown. Although the spikes are made of fairly heavy-weight metal, they also are hollow so may not be too durable. And I wish these came in a somewhat shorter length.
Comments about Y Stakes:
I use the y-stakes in my flower garden to help support various perennials, but especially to combat the negative effects of stem breakage on windy days - the extra support granted by the y-stakes has been superb, thanks!

Comments about Y Stakes:
I can't buy enough of these! I'm always needing them! I really like the 4 ft. ones, but also use the 3 ft. ones.
Besides using them in the garden, I like to use them as perches for the Hummingbirds to sit and rest by the 4 Hummingbird feeders I have in the yard. The plastic 'arm' is the perfect size for their tiny feet to wrap around and rest! They'll sit on Y Stakes that I made in a circle, in a V shape and in 'a straight across shape'.
I love Y Stakes! I've been using them for years!
Comments about Y Stakes:
These stakes are the most versatile I've tried. I've used them for peonies, balloon flowers and cone flowers. They help keep the long stems from leaning onto the sidewalk and falling over. They are simple to use, adaptable and easy to store.
Great product!
Comments about Y Stakes:
being able to bend them in any direction was most helpful in my lilly garden
Comments about Y Stakes:
Tried to use this product for a rubra that is very tall and skinny. It keps falling out of the support. I am going to try more bending, but so far it is not working.
Comments about Y Stakes:
These were easy to install and work to hold up the plant. I used the extra green wire to bind 2 of the stakes together to add more coverage. They went in the ground easily, but if the ground is hard, you might have trouble getting them installed as it doesn't seem you can pound them into the ground. A "pilot" hole might be necessary. The only thing I would improve is to make the arms at the top longer to give more area coverage. The plant leaves actually hire the stake and arms, so they are not really visible unless you look for them. Overall, they are a great solution!!
Comments about Y Stakes:
should be shipped with enough wires for stakes
Comments about Y Stakes:
My large Annabelle hydrangeas look gorgeous when they first start to bloom. Then with the first hard rainfall, the flower heads all droop over leaving a gigantic gap in the center of the shrub. The flowers all end up close to the ground. These Y-stakes are the perfect support to prop up my hydrangea flowers. They slip into the ground easily while staying perfectly in place. The upper portion of the stake ("Y") is flexible to bend to the shape needed. It takes only 5 or 6 of these stakes for a 6-foot tall and wide Annabelle hydrangea... now it looks gorgeous again! Thanks for making these stakes so easy to use and reuse!!!
Comments about Y Stakes:
holding up tall flowers; training plants to grow; holding up frangipani stick so they will root; very durable; does not rust or break
I have had some for years and still use them regularly. In fact these were a birthday gift for a neighbor - that's how much I use and appreciate their usefulness.
Comments about Y Stakes:
These Y stakes are fantastic for supporting my large lilies, phlox, and other tall flowering plants. And the top wire can be easily manipulated to form the needed shape to hold the plants.
Comments about Y Stakes:
Fantastic for supporting Annabelle hydrangeas & crocosmia!
Comments about Y Stakes:
These stakes are very versatile as they can be bent in any direction to best support the plant.
Comments about Y Stakes:
Loved the product once I figured out how to use it. It has worked wonderfully with my day lilies!
Comments about Y Stakes:
The Y stakes are great for supporting my hydrangea limbs and help keep the plants looking tidy. I would certainly recommend them.
Comments about Y Stakes:
I like the height factor - I use them on my delphiniums. The thing I don't care for is the Y shape at the top. I would rather it was a more supportive piece around the top.
Comments about Y Stakes:
Held up plant & flowers even during the wind storms.
Comments about Y Stakes:
I use these in my flower garden to hold up tall blooms of cardinal flower and brazilian verbena. The Florida summers are notoriously hard on metal stakes because of our dampness and heat. I have used these stakes for 4 seasons, moving and bending them repeatedly without any corrosion or breaking. I am very pleased and would highly recommend them.
Comments about Y Stakes:
I use these to hold up my large spiked flowers. They are sturdy and easy to adjust. The flowers stay upright and are easier to see instead of laying on the ground or hanging over.
Comments about Y Stakes:
I have used these for years. They are great for staking and supports plants. I have them in all three sizes.
Comments about Y Stakes:
Great for tall plants that tend to flop over after rainfall.
Comments about Y Stakes:
Not only do they do exactly what they say they do, but they are very sturdy and versatile. I did not need one of the Y sides, and it is a perfect hanging wire to hang my spiral hose at arm's height right where I water some containers every day. With a bad hip and back, that is a very nice convenience in that particular part of my garden!!
Comments about Y Stakes:
Can be used for a very wide array of plants and flowers at various stages of growth.
Comments about Y Stakes:
I am using it to support some rose buses that have spread. The bushes were hanging over some smaller bushes - I just propted the roses right against the Y and they did the trick. They also blend in with the plants so people can't see them.
Comments about Y Stakes:
The have the Y stakes throughout the yard. As noted above i would love to see a 5 foot or even 6 foot version for the taller plants needed support and a longer branches of the Y stake.

I use these to keep my Russian sage off my roses. Also good for other tall flowers that tend to fall over.
