    Comments about Coil Support:

I was very excited to get the coil supports, I wanted to add more color to the landscape, so I purchased blue and two red. I was disappointed that the red was not a true red and the blue was more periwinkle, than blue. The installation of the supports was a nightmare. Nothing holds them in place. I had dug down about a foot in the soil, placed the coil, used the one spike sent and the several other long garden staples added the dirt on top and it still sprang up, pulling everything with it. Only the included spike stayed in place. Needless to say I am VERY disappointed with this product, which sits in my garden shed.

    Comments about Coil Support:

I bought this to support a tomato plant near my front door. I wanted something attractive - and sturdy. The coil support is cute (though the "red" is more of a deep salmon) but it doesn't provide a lot of support. The vertical spine of the coil is made of two pieces and it seems weak where they join. The coils are loose and floppy. I think they's support something light like morning glories - but they'll just float around a tomato. I drove a long piece of rebar in to support mine and will just leave the coil there to look cute.

    Bottom Line:

    Comments about Coil Support:

Colour was NOT green as ordered, more yellow. One of the coils was coiled the wrong way. And try to correct that. The uprights are like five feet of hollow pencil divided into three segments. They are very flimsy. The small screws that connect the segments do not keep the upright straight but almost guarantee it will bend at the connection. And, it seems the tip off to a quality product is that an extra screw or whatever is included. No extra screws with these products. If I had it to do again, I wouldn't.

    Comments about Coil Support:

I just installed this to support a Trumpet Vine and I like the way it looks so much I ordered two more and my neighbor wants one. It adds a really interesting dimension in the yard. It hasn't been up too long so I don't know yet how it will weather. However, I installed the center support pole deeply in the ground and it seems very sturdy so I not expecting winds, etc. to disturb it. I ordered the green color and it's a soft yellow not green, but still attractive.

    Comments about Coil Support:

I tried 2 of these because I loved the concept and design and colors. Normally I would make my own teepee for pole beans and sugar snap peas.
The pole beans are doing OK right now. The sugar snap peas on this are a disaster. Constantly falling over and destroying the plants.
I think it should only be for flowers such as morning glories, sweet peas and a like. That is what I will do with them next year.
They are OUT OF My VEGGIE GARDEN!
My suggestion would also be to make the center pole heftier. Currently it is way to wimpy and flimsy.
I would not buy this again as it is now. Would consider it if it were sturdier because I still like the concept.

The advertisements show a better picture than the actual product. The wire coil is somewhat flimsy and the support rod is difficult to install so that it will stay centered. It is not very stable for holding plants. It acts more like a spring than a coil. I used it as a rose support but it was barely adequate.

    Comments about Coil Support:

I tried the coil support with pole beans, but it doesn't seem well suited to how they want to climb. They have no problem climbing the center support, but aren't using the coil part no matter how I try to coax them. Bamboo poles are cheaper, easier, and work better.

I'll try the coil for my passionflower or maybe morning glory next season. Maybe those will like it better.
