These durable markers are neat-looking, last for years, and really stay put. Standard Markers have galvanized wire legs and etched-zinc nameplates for recording variety names, sources and planting dates. The marking pen is a great companion for any zinc-plated or steel plant marker. The fiber tip is better than the felt tip found on other markers because it won't "mush-up" with use.

This set is great to get you started tagging all the new flowers and vegetables you plant. I especially like the shape and size, and if your handwriting is good, they are really also sweet and attractive to the eye. I did not check off whether they are durable because I just started using them about a month ago. I did have to order another set of markers, because once you start using them, you can't stop! I also love that they mark where your bulbs are so you won't mistakenly plant something else there while they are still underground. They really add charm to a country garden, and I recommend them especially if you have a garden big enough to forget where everything is.

They make me feel like a more seasoned gardner because my rows are so neat and well marked. ;-)

I added these to all my new planting areas and to established areas as well. The stakes are sturdy and look good in among the plants and flowers. The ink stays put and doesn't fade or smudge in the rain. The only thing to be cautious of is your own handwriting!

I was using the plastic picks provided by the greenhouses to mark my veggies but didn't like the look of them. I purchased the etched zinc markers and now my garden looks more organized and prettier. I can also use them for years to come.
Comments about 25 Standard Markers with Pen:
I used these in both my vegetable garden and for keeping track of flower seeds I had planted.

It makes it much easier for my wife and kids to recognize what they are harvesting.

Very useful
Comments about 25 Standard Markers with Pen:
I used the markers to identify different varieties of plants so I can determine which is most compatible to my gardening soil.
Comments about 25 Standard Markers with Pen:
Other tags get lost once plants get growing. With these, I can still see what variety of tomato or pepper I planted!

We use the markers to identify native landscape plantings and other plantings such as herbs for visitors to our home as they walk through the areas. I have found, however, that the pen that is sold with the markers (the ink, that is) does not hold up well in our Texas summer heat and it fades out - I get better results using the Sharpie Permanent Marker. But, Hey, that's a Texas Summer for you - the pen may work just fine elsewhere. Otherwise, The markers are great. I am still using some that I bought from you all two or three years ago.
Comments about 25 Standard Markers with Pen:
Easy to use, with enough room for plant information Identification markers, that are not intrusive, but attractive in the garden. I use a label maker and put the label tape on the marker, easy to read, does not fade in the sun,we live in the low desert in Ca. and easy to remove for reuse of the marker. The markers are a great practical purchase.
Comments about 25 Standard Markers with Pen:
These markers help me to remember what I planted and when. Especially helpful in the winter when plants go dormant and unrecognizable. They look very nice in the garden as well, and last many seasons.

I set these markers out last weekend, and found them incredibly easy to use. The writing has survived several rainstorms without smudging or running. The stakes are long enough that they aren't likely to be pulled up by the wind (or those pesky squirrels). The face of the marker is large enough for most latin names, plus the date I planted. Since the writing is permanent, it's not perfect for re-use with a different plant next year. Overall, a good product and just what I was looking for.

I ordered 3 sets of these and they didn't come with any markers they are not worth the price

I won't forget which iris is which from now on! And the same goes for my other flowers such as clematis, dahlias, and roses. And the dog can't chew up the "stick" now. I'll be ordering more of these soon. Thanks!

Great in beds, and containers too!
Comments about 25 Standard Markers with Pen:
The markers last after rains and are remembrances of things planted.
Comments about 25 Standard Markers with Pen:
It is obvious how you use this product. I will wait and see if the marker works well by whether my labeling is still there in the spring.
Comments about 25 Standard Markers with Pen:
I like to know what all my plants are in flower gardens and around my yard. So these plant markers work great and are durable. They have enough room to write the plant information on the marker and are big enough to see from a distance. They also look great in the flower gardens.
Comments about 25 Standard Markers with Pen:
Useful for marking the location of bulbs, so that I don't dig them up by mistake. The long tines help to keep them in place when raking leaves, and they have a very attractive design.
Comments about 25 Standard Markers with Pen:
These markers are well made and sturdier than I expected. There is plenty of room to write the plant name.
Comments about 25 Standard Markers with Pen:
We are using these to label our plant varieties, and also as locators for our perennials and bulbs while dormant.
Comments about 25 Standard Markers with Pen:
These plant markers are inobtrusive in the garden to mark perennials that will die back in the winter. As I add more plantings to the flower beds, it is very easy to visually see what is nearby. I love them!
Comments about 25 Standard Markers with Pen:
Metal markers are great-- very inconspicuous. I would prefer the option of a finer point en so more info. could be written on marker
Comments about 25 Standard Markers with Pen:
Weather resistant and small. Exactly what I was looking for.
Comments about 25 Standard Markers with Pen:
Fantastic to help get a handle on a huge range of new plants that I'm not familiar with. I have these all over my herb, vege, and decorative gardens- either discretely hidden or proudly on display.
I can see that they will be a firm favorite for years to come! *grin*
Comments about 25 Standard Markers with Pen:
These markers are a nice size for writing plant names and sturdy to last through the years. Long shafts to keep in place.
Comments about 25 Standard Markers with Pen:
This is the only marker I have found to last several seasons (through harsh winters) without fading. I love them!!
Comments about 25 Standard Markers with Pen:
These plant markers are so handy and easy to use. I use them to identify new or unusual plantings in my garden as a reminder to myself and for others who might wonder, "What is that?" Generally, the name needs to be reprinted at the very end of the growing season for EASY identification of perennials popping out of the ground in the spring. Additionally, I place them in the containers used to hold various bulbs that are removed from the garden for winter. This helps with easy identification in the spring.
Comments about 25 Standard Markers with Pen:
We are enjoying being able to see the names of the plants we planted, without having to dig. We always put newspaper and grass clippings down in our garden around all our plants. These markers sit up high enough, so they are easy to see.
Comments about 25 Standard Markers with Pen:
I like to write the date of planting on the back and the name on the front. If you really want to go professional, grab a label maker and the words will really stand out. That's how they do it in the display gardens at Gardener Supply:)
Comments about 25 Standard Markers with Pen:
The metal markers are very nice and a good size, but the pen is too large and it is difficult to write on the markers, both because of the pen and the angle of attachment of the stakes on the markers...better if writing surface on markers came unattached to the stakes.
Comments about 25 Standard Markers with Pen:
Been using metal markers for a many of years.
Only have had a few rust or legs break, but they
were in the groud many years.
Easy to put in when the ground is wet, have hard
clay soil here and sometimes the legs may bend, I
just wet the soil good.
Comments about 25 Standard Markers with Pen:
The pen made the garden markers usable. Ink doesn't run off or fade. Pricey but worth it.
Comments about 25 Standard Markers with Pen:
Helps me to find the location of my perennials from year to year. I have been known to plant on top of an existing plant.
Comments about 25 Standard Markers with Pen:
not good for beds. Tend to get caught on rakes and get bent easily.
Comments about 25 Standard Markers with Pen:
I love the markers because they do help me to remember what I planted and when. I especially like them in my perrennial gardens. I was not at all satisified with the pen,as it faded out after one year. I spent time and effort to mark my plantings and now I can't read them. In the past I used a special pencil that still is legible after 5 years so I will go back to using that. The markers themselves are great and do last and I recomend them, just not the pen.
Comments about 25 Standard Markers with Pen:
I use these to mark my roses as well as my vegetables. I love the pen and how easy it writes.

Markers can be reused many times and are easy to clean with ordinary nail-polish remover. I like them because they are easy to see, yet subtle, and stay put. I also use them to mark my soaker hoses so I do not 'dig' them up or damage them when planting new plants.
Comments about 25 Standard Markers with Pen:
These are wonderful for my herb garden! hold up well and easy to read!

This item is wonderful. Nothing negative to say -- only positive.

Looked locally for this type of plant marker. After two years of unsuccessfully locating local source paid the shipping.
Really too soon to evaluate. If marker shows through a winter of sea rain and wind it will be great. Marker could use a ultra fine point. Some plants have longg names. Have not used indentation writing as yet. PS I could not change the first choice. I do like them
