Purchased two of these to support my clematis. They took to the trellis immediately and seem to be climbing happily. Looking forward to seeing it later in the season.
Comments about Fiddlehead Trellis:
I put this on a tricky slope and so far it is standing up straight and looks great. The vine I selected for it is still too small to test it's durability under pressure but I believe that it will based on it's sturdiness now. Quite lovely.
Comments about Fiddlehead Trellis:
We love the fiddlehead trellis. We attached two of them to a chain link fence side by side and they look very nice. They were very easy to put together and set up.
Comments about Fiddlehead Trellis:
I like these trellises so much I have ordered them twice. They provide height that is really useful when planting on a wall that is very high. The height of the planter gives helps balance the tall blank space of the wall. I have installed it against a stone wall and a white wall. The trellis has the good looks and "weight" to make the plantings and the location really stand out.
Comments about Fiddlehead Trellis:
The screws provided were too short to hold the pieces together. Had to purchase 13 longer screws. The threaded holders were soldered on and several of them were not aligned correctly and a couple were missing. If it were not such a hassle, this item would have been returned. Would not purchase again.
After getting it together, it does look good.
Comments about Fiddlehead Trellis:
replaced an old wooden trellis and this is a fresh look
Comments about Fiddlehead Trellis:
I made work by fastening to side of house, will not support itself, This is what china is sending us.
Comments about Fiddlehead Trellis:
i like the design and height. I bought two and during installation a prong on the base broke on one.
Comments about Fiddlehead Trellis:
This was very easy to put together. No pieces missing, though one screw hole was not fully drilled so the screw would not fully make contact with inset piece to anchor it. China could learn from Japanese re quality control. I don't think it will be a big problem going forward, but is reason for 4 rather than 5 stars.
I'm using this trellis to support a rambling rose and it appears it will do the trick!
Comments about Fiddlehead Trellis:
I am planting an old heirloom climbing rose next to my porch and need something that was not only sturdy, but tall enough to handle a climber like that. This swill do the trick
Comments about Fiddlehead Trellis:
Very effective and stylish. My Gelsemium and climbing aster look great on them. I tied them to my chain link fence and it dresses it up.
Comments about Fiddlehead Trellis:
This trellis, which will support a climbing hydranga, looks very nice against the brick wall of our historic house. It seems very sturdy, but we'll see how it survives the next Maine winter.
Comments about Fiddlehead Trellis:
The fiddlehead trellis is now supporting our old fashioned climbing rose. Since the bush is old and heavy, my husband added screws to the threaded holes at the joints. This makes the trellis more sturdy.

Comments about Fiddlehead Trellis:
Relative simple to put together. Should work well for my rose bush and clematis. Looks stable but, going to liquid solder the one for my rose bush together to see if it provides better stability. Once they are put outside, they will not be removed so, we'll see how well they hold up in our seasonal weather changes.
Comments about Fiddlehead Trellis:
It holds my 1 year old Clematis Terniflora Sweet Autumn nicely and looks beautiful with the thousands of white blooms against my red brick house. I'm hoping it'll be strong enough to support my beauty as it gains size and weight as the years go by.
Comments about Fiddlehead Trellis:
The only thing that I consider a negative is that I would have liked it to go up higher on the sides instead of such a deep decline in the fiddle heads from the highest point in the center, making it a little heavier looking at the top. I love how tall it is.
Comments about Fiddlehead Trellis:
I wanted a trellis that would compliment the obelisk and iron fencing around my front yard. It is an English Garden style yard therefore many trellis designs are too contemporary or cottage-like...this one looks great. It was simple to assemble and barely needs support as the ancoring system is really effective.
Comments about Fiddlehead Trellis:
I wanted something that would fill in a space where an old shrub was removed and this fit the bill. Easy to assemble and looks great.
Comments about Fiddlehead Trellis:
I had been searching for a long time for a relatively narrow trellis for a lonicera, and chose this primarly for the whimsical design. When I got it, I was very pleased with the anchoring stakes that go into the ground; they seem very sturdy. I was also pleased with the ease of assembly and overall strength of the material, although we'll see how well it holds up once the lonicera is actually climbing on it!
Comments about Fiddlehead Trellis:
Used this to train clematis to climb up house columns and deck supports
Comments about Fiddlehead Trellis:
Good ground staking arrangement--important for trellises. My clematis loves this!
Comments about Fiddlehead Trellis:
I needed a taller trellis for my clematis and this fit the bill. However because the clematis are away from the house a little bit I had to add a fence post in back of it for extra support. It was top heavy otherwise. Once I got it all together I love and hope my clematis will grow better (it kept falling over with the old trellis and breaking). I would recommend it to others but with the advice of better support.
Comments about Fiddlehead Trellis:
I am using this trellis to grow a cucumber and a black eyes susan vine on. I also used the outer edge to tie my hollyhock that was bending over too.
Comments about Fiddlehead Trellis:
Using for clemantis
Comments about Fiddlehead Trellis:
I put this trellis next to a stone fireplace and added a clematis. It looks great the is very supportive and built well.
Comments about Fiddlehead Trellis:
I needed a tall trellis to display my newest clematis. This one fit the bill. Added features: attractive and well made.
Comments about Fiddlehead Trellis:
The trellis is so tall that it's perfect for my clematis. Most trellises I've found are so short, once they're in the ground, that my clematis quickly outgrows it. I also love the unique look of it. It adds interest even when the clematis isn't in bloom!
Comments about Fiddlehead Trellis:
It is very attractive and unusual. I like how tall it is. Using it in a container.

Comments about Fiddlehead Trellis:
I have used this product for a very large rose bush/tree. It supports the weight of the branches at different levels because of its design and is easily installed in the dirt without any other support.
Comments about Fiddlehead Trellis:
Sturdy and easy to assemble. I placed it in a large container with a flowering vine.
Comments about Fiddlehead Trellis:
I've had a hard time finding attractive tall trellis that I can use to train roses and clematis up to my pergola. This is great!
Comments about Fiddlehead Trellis:
We set up our trellis even before we had vines to climb it. It is a lovely decorative accent to our garden.
Comments about Fiddlehead Trellis:
I ordered 2 Trellis and put them side by side. They look great. I would recommend them to my friends. My neighbors love them, because they are different and taller than most trellis's.

Comments about Fiddlehead Trellis:
My clemetis have never been happier..they are well supported and displayed. The trellis are taller than the average and much more beautiful, adding charm to the white background of our house and garage.
Comments about Fiddlehead Trellis:
I needed an extra tall trellis for the clematis in front of my house. Last year I had too much clematis and not enough trellis! So I sprung for it, and am very glad I did. It looks terrific and my clematis vines are very happy, as they have places to go! I love the fern motif and it's hard to find a decorative trellis this tall in any stores. It was easy to assemble and put up and it's a very pretty accent in front of my porch pillar. Also it seems plenty sturdy, so I highly recommend it.
Comments about Fiddlehead Trellis:
I needed a tall trellis for a clematis and this just filled the bill. The quality was more than I expected. It is beautiful and durable.

Comments about Fiddlehead Trellis:
I've bought six fiddlehead trellises several weeks ago. They were very easy to assemble. My six year old son built one entire trellis by himself! Their hight is perfect for the clematises and look very pretty around our patio covering the siding of our and our neighbor's house. One of the most important selling factors were the hight and the "feet" which are like claws reaching forward and backward of the trellis to add more stability. I very much do recommend that product!!

Comments about Fiddlehead Trellis:
This trellis is heavy duty and more durable looking than I could tell from the picture. I am training a clematis on it. We did secure it to a beam from the top using a metal strap. The base doesn't look like it would support this large a trellis with a mature plant on it in strong winds.
Comments about Fiddlehead Trellis:
We installed our super new tall trellis 2 weekends ago. It was easy to assemble and has a very sturdy support system to ground it against wind. When my neighbors came over to see what we were doing, they couldn't believe the height of the trellis, and when I told them that it was only [$], they wanted to know where I bought it, so they could order one!
Comments about Fiddlehead Trellis:
It's too early to plant but I'm hoping that my clematis will take too it.
Comments about Fiddlehead Trellis:
Trellis was easy to put together. Am using for a clemantis that grows like a beast, so I'm hoping it will be sturdy enough to support it; will let you know later.
Was outside this morning and noticed that the screwheads are already rusting; don't like that too much, but I guess i can fix that somehow.
Comments about Fiddlehead Trellis:
I love this beautiful trellis. So will my roses
Comments about Fiddlehead Trellis:
Wonderful sturdy trellis. Easy to put together and install in the ground. It's attached to the house as well so as to support the weight of an enormous climbing rose. Regrettably, little of it will show once the climber gets covered with blossoms!
Comments about Fiddlehead Trellis:
I am using mine for a climbing rose. Thus far, it is doing well and the legs going into the soil really help to stabilize it. Love the design and it was simple to put together.

Comments about Fiddlehead Trellis:
[...]I was missing the short fiddlehead and the screws. I called and Julie was great to talk to and had the missing items sent right away. Received in 5 days. The setup is beautiful and seems very sturdy. Looking forward to Spring 2010. You are a great company to deal with.
Comments about Fiddlehead Trellis:
Very easy to assemble and install.
Comments about Fiddlehead Trellis:
They add a touch of class to the yard! Am having yard redone and even the Master Gardener who is doing the work wants one for herself! Very happy with them.
Comments about Fiddlehead Trellis:
Very attractive design against the house. The only problem we had was in putting it together and setting it up. It would have been helpful to have some instructions.
Comments about Fiddlehead Trellis:
I used this for my perennial sweat peas. It's just perfect.

Comments about Fiddlehead Trellis:
These supports are for 2 old roses. I liked the base with the feet. They are less likely to blow over in the wind. They are attractive and I like the more natural design. I would love to have taller supports, but I went with these because of the base, and sturdy design. Thanks for helping my 2 old time roses get the support they needed.

Comments about Fiddlehead Trellis:
I am very picky about what items I place in my garden. This trellis is attractive and very effective. I have a climbing hydrangea that loves it! I would recommend this item and I would buy it again, I think I might purchase another one next summer!

Comments about Fiddlehead Trellis:
We wanted an attractive, sturdy trellis to dress up a very boring area in the front of our house. This trellis is very attractive, was easy to assemble, and is sturdy enough to hold up to strong winds where we live. We've got jasmine growing up it now so it looks and smells wonderful. Plus this trellis was very reasonably priced compared to other trellises we considered.

Comments about Fiddlehead Trellis:
Was looking for a taller trellis for my Guernsey Cream clematis, and this is perfect. The design is so attractive. We may have to run some support between the trellis and the house because of the weight of the clematis but this is no problem.
Comments about Fiddlehead Trellis:
Tall enough to accomodate morning glories, would buy another for clematis.
Liked the wider base which holds it in place.
However, on assembly, some of the screws had stripped threads, used replacements from my husband's tool box.
Comments about Fiddlehead Trellis:
Love the height for tall vines, wish it were a little wider.
Comments about Fiddlehead Trellis:
This trellis is a size that provided the hight/presence I needed for the front of my house.
I like that it's free standing and stable.
Comments about Fiddlehead Trellis:
This trellis is perfect for a lighter weight climber like a clematis. The solid metal is more durable than tubular, but the screw connections are a bit flimsy. It works well braced against a house or other structure, but I don't believe it would be very good as a free-stsnading trellis or for heavy vining fruits and vegetables.
Comments about Fiddlehead Trellis:
I really like this Trellis becuase it was so easy to assemble when it arrived. I am using my Trellis for a vineing plant along a newly built shed in my back yard. It is very attractive and very strong/well built. The only thing I find for improvement is that the Trellis does have to lean against the building and may sway with the wind or hit the building.
Comments about Fiddlehead Trellis:
I bought this trellis to replace an old wooden one that will need to be taken down when the house is stained. It caught my eye in the catalog, and it is even better than I anticipated. It did take a few minutes to assemble, but was very easy.........I actually have it in my great room against the wall until my garden is ready for it..........and it looks wonderful there too.
Comments about Fiddlehead Trellis:
I love this trellis! I was looking for a taller one with a unique look to it. This was it. It was easy to assemble and is sturdier than many I others I had found. It is perfect for what I wanted and would add to any landscape design. Thanks!
Comments about Fiddlehead Trellis:
sturdy and tall enough to support a bouganvilla that has outgrown its bounds.
Comments about Fiddlehead Trellis:
I used this trellis against my house (1 ft out) to grow a mandevilla. The trellis is every attractive without any plants and even better to show off the vine.
Since it was coming to me through the mail, I was concerned that it would be too flimsy. It is very sturdy and extremely easy to put together. The stabilizer feet are very good.
Comments about Fiddlehead Trellis:
I used the trellis's (2) of them,to support my clematis. The architectual design works really well with the flowers of a clematis. However the parts that had to be assembled had very small nuts welded to each section, and some of them had screw threads that were already stripped and the nuts were poorly attached to the trellis.
Comments about Fiddlehead Trellis:
i'm just so pleased with the height on this product. i have a fall clematis climbing on it in my flower bed up against my stained cedar fence and it looks wonderful ! i can't wait to see it when it blooms . there will be white flowers everywhere and the trellis will be picking thru them...this is truly one of my favorite products by far.
Comments about Fiddlehead Trellis:
I placed the trellis against the wall and will have some clematis climbing up it - well, that's the plan ...
Comments about Fiddlehead Trellis:
being used for supporting a rose bush
Comments about Fiddlehead Trellis:
I bought 2 and have placed them side by side to support honeysuckle. The goal is to make a privacy zone between a neighbor and the hottub. So far, so good. I like the design and the height.
Comments about Fiddlehead Trellis:
I choose to use this trellis to backup the Post/rail fence I already use for a grape vine in the lower level of my garden. Not only was it easy to get it into place but the unique design adds a unique flair...haven't seen one anywhere else - thanks!
Comments about Fiddlehead Trellis:
I needed a new trellis for my clematis and decided to order the fiddlehead vs. something more plain. It seems sturdy and went together nicely and I love the look--it is functional yet adds a little bit of whimsy to the landscaping and against the house.
Comments about Fiddlehead Trellis:
Perfect design at the entrance to my garden path
Comments about Fiddlehead Trellis:
Very pretty and sturdy. Using for climbing rose.
Comments about Fiddlehead Trellis:
This is the cutest ever trellis! Sturdy, easy to assemble and I'm vining my blueberries up it as we speak!
Comments about Fiddlehead Trellis:
Taller than most trellises, it has a "stand-out" appearance in the landscape. Beautiful. Sturdier than I expected.
Comments about Fiddlehead Trellis:
I had a tall growing rose bush that was planted too close to the house. The bush was growing up into the overhang and I wanted to try and get it growing out away from that. I put up the Fiddlehead Trellis out beyond the overhang and attached the rose stems to it. So far it has worked well; perhaps a better evaluation could be given at the end of the first year of use.
Comments about Fiddlehead Trellis:
It's surprising that something so delicate looking can be so sturdy. Just looking at it in the catalog made me wonder if it would blow over in a storm. No way!
Comments about Fiddlehead Trellis:
Looks lovely, took just a moment to assemble. Good value.
Comments about Fiddlehead Trellis:
We love it's height and planted a climbing clematis which we can't wait to see in bloom in a year or two and have it fully contained on the trellis. It's lovely!
Comments about Fiddlehead Trellis:
I love the support legs at right angles to the trellis. Did not like having to put together so many little pieces- but it went together quickly. Seems well made. It's much less expensive that all the trellises at my local garden center
Comments about Fiddlehead Trellis:
I was totally pleased with how easy the assembly was accomplished and even though I had help I could easily have assembled it by myself.
My new pink clematis is really going to look good climbimg this trellis. The fiddlehead details really stand out in the garden landscape.
Comments about Fiddlehead Trellis:
I bought this for my clematis vine. I was able to put it together without the help of my husband! It's perfect for where I need it as it does not require a wall or fence, it is designed to stand on it's own. When another clematis vine unexpectedly appeared this spring, I ordered another trellis and transplanted the vine. Both trellis and vines are now doing well!
Comments about Fiddlehead Trellis:
I bought the trellis for a climbing rose near my front door that is 5 yrs old, and has grown really tall. Some of the pre-drilled holes in the trellis weren't right, and I had difficulty tightening one of screws. Setting it in the ground was easy, and the trellis with the rose canes tied to it (I used the 8-shaped tomato ties) has added beauty to the entrance.
Comments about Fiddlehead Trellis:
Much finer and more original then that which can be found in most garden centers. Quick to assemble, unusual organic design, complements and does not distract from the plant...
Comments about Fiddlehead Trellis:
I needed a trellis that would be showy from the street and this does it. I've planted Clematis below it.
Comments about Fiddlehead Trellis:
I've been searching for a "different" trellis for three seasons now and LOVE this design. Seems to be made of good materials. Hoping that it will last a long time!
Comments about Fiddlehead Trellis:
This trellis is one of the most beautiful and eye-catching I've ever owned. Its above-average height make it suitable for much larger plants. The heavy weight makes it appear -- and hopefully remain -- very durable.
Very worth the money. I love it!
Comments about Fiddlehead Trellis:
We are using this decorative trellis to support tomatoes in our front yard, midst the flowers. It has been admired by those who wonder about our "working" front yard...grass, all gone.
Comments about Fiddlehead Trellis:
I bought 3 of these to add height and interest to the small beds that wrap around my home. The pretty design is nice to look at and fills in vertical space even though the clematis that I planted with them are still very small. They are extremely easy to assemble. A few of the screw holes, on one trellis, were too big for the screws to tighten, but as each section actually fits down over the other, the screws are are really there to keep it together while your moving it, which I don't really plan on doing, so a couple screws that aren't tight, don't really affect the performance at all. As it has feet that just push down into the ground, you can put it anywhere and it really is as easy as just sticking it into the earth. It seems very sturdy and I think it will support the clematis nicely as it grows.
Comments about Fiddlehead Trellis:
Used it as a trellis, great because it's tall!
Comments about Fiddlehead Trellis:
I loved this fiddle-head fern design, but the trellis was just a little shorter than I wanted for the clematis that would grow on it. I solved that by installing a large, flat rock -- standing on its side -- drilled with 3 holes. The result is very striking, and the clematis is already starting to climb the trellis. Nice and sturdy, but it is light-weight enough that it is better to have it near a wall or structure -- not free standing in the garden once it is loaded with a plant on a windy day.
Comments about Fiddlehead Trellis:
Not that difficult to put together. Using the trellis for my clemitis.
Comments about Fiddlehead Trellis:
We are using this trellis to break up a large white wall, and are actually leaving it without plants growing on it. At the base we have a desert fern rock garden. We love the simplicity of this fern fiddlehead design.
Comments about Fiddlehead Trellis:
This trellis looks great in our courtyard.
Comments about Fiddlehead Trellis:
I like its beefy construction. I am using two of them on either side of my garage door to hold morning glories. I can't wait to see the lavendar flowers hanging from these tall trellis' in the morning summer sun!
Comments about Fiddlehead Trellis:
I am using the items for a clematis. It works well and looks great.
Comments about Fiddlehead Trellis:
Should be small enough for clematis to cling to and it won't rot.
