Create an eye-catching display by stringing lights up these 5-legged obelisks made from powder-coated steel and wire with an antique finish. Or, bring some classic French style to your kitchen garden. These handsome steel supports are strong enough to hold heavy harvests of cucumbers or beans, and at these terrific prices, they're an affordable indulgence. Of course, they're equally at home in the flower garden. The vertical poles are ideal for climbers, such as pole beans and morning glories; the spiral wires suit twiners like clematis and sweet peas.

Comments about Spiral Obelisks:
I had a honeysuckle vine that grew out of control. Could I prune faster than it could "wander" and attach itself to other shrubs and trees? Now it is winding contentedly within the frame of the spiral obelisk!
Really pleased. I am no longer at the whim and caprice of my honeysuckle vine.
Comments about Spiral Obelisks:
Very attractive in the perennial bed. It was not made well. Assemble very carefully as the bolts will fall out of the legs easily!
Comments about Spiral Obelisks:
I use for clematis
Comments about Spiral Obelisks:
I really the like the spiral obelisk! I ordered 4. I use 2 in the flower garden and 2 in the vegatable garden.
The assembly instructions were a little hard to follow but still a good product.
Comments about Spiral Obelisks:
This trellis almost got the best of me like others have said. I found that the wire did want to coil back up and not stay in place. I found that if I hooked the top and then hooked the bottom and starting at the bottom holding one round at a time and pulling the next round down with my entire arm through the trellis it made it much easier. I was able to get it tight enough that it bound itself and has now made it through 2 very windy days. As far as it tipping in the wind, I have not seen this yet but one option would be to use stakes to hold it down, or even rocks to weigh it down (my personal favorite).
Comments about Spiral Obelisks:
It's wonderful to have it useful for my climbing vines and look beautiful too. Even if left out in the winter months, makes an attractive focal point in the barren garden
Comments about Spiral Obelisks:
I had it in the ground for less than 3 weeks and the long metal tubes that screw into one another broke. Now it is useless. I'm asking for my money back.

Comments about Spiral Obelisks:
This is a large trellis for anything that will need a strong support. Interesting and attractive design. The only con is that it was not easy to assemble.
Comments about Spiral Obelisks:
This product was poor quality and cumbersome to put together. Welds broke on a ring and support rod. Bottom ring was warped wouldn't sit on ground even. Very disappointed. Waste of money.
Comments about Spiral Obelisks:
The spiral wire is difficult to wind around the 5 legs uniformally, it wants to wind itself up to the top, even when secured at the bottom.
Comments about Spiral Obelisks:
I needed a couple of permanent vertical elements in a garden bed and these were the only ones with the width and stature to make my concept work. I plan on growing clematis and annual vines up them, but they would also work well for pole beans in the vegetable garden. They are kind of fiddly to set up and I still have to fasten the wire coil to the vertical supports since they are not designed to hold the wire coil in any particular place. The finish will definitely rust, which I think will be attractive, but if that is not the look you are going for, try something else. The vertical poles could be thicker, but I think they will hold up well enough for my purposes, though a trumpet vine or wisteria would topple them. I actually think the fact that they bow inward make the lines more graceful. All in all, a unique product for a great price. I wish it was a little sturdier though.
Comments about Spiral Obelisks:
The product is perfect for what we want it for but there is just some difficulty in assembly. Definitely takes two or more people on the bigger obelisks and since we ordered three of them the first one to assemble was difficult but by the third one, we had it down. Can't wait for the clematis to start to climb - it will look awesome. This is our first year with these so we don't know about storage, or wear and tear if we leave them up for the winter.

Comments about Spiral Obelisks:
I have a vigorous "Ramona" clematis that needs some height to ramble. I think this "obelisk" will do the job and be attractive as well. It needs to come with a few choice swear words to assemble out in the garden, but all is now well!
Comments about Spiral Obelisks:
hi just put it together today, been little to cold, but where its going will look and be practical
Comments about Spiral Obelisks:
Elegant design, sturdy, easy to assemble. Make sure you use it with vines that don't totally obscure the beauty of this piece. Is a simple but eyecatching trellis.

Comments about Spiral Obelisks:
I am more than a bit disappointed in the preparation for outdoor service. The steel is not protected at all. This means that I now have to sand, prime and paint the assembly to assure appearance and longevity...my time exceeds the value for this product since I have to prepapre it as described.
sad that this product is not prepared for exterior service. otherwise I like it

Comments about Spiral Obelisks:
product assembly instructions unclear-i erred in using a hammer to push posts into ground-this resulted in pushing the connecting pin being pushed inside the tube with no way to release it and now no way to connect one of the five lower legs. design is strange-unsure why circle is used on base rather than having legs go directly into the ground. [...]
Comments about Spiral Obelisks:
Works great for jasmine and honeysuckle vines. Offers plenty of secure support against high winds, don't know yet about winter.
Attractive on their own when plants are dormant.
Comments about Spiral Obelisks:
I bought the large one to support my Rudbeckia Maxima which it does perfectly. Assembly was a little tricky but manageable for one person. I suggest assembling in place. It doesn't seem like it would move well though I've not tried and probably won't. Still, for the $$, this is a great product.
Comments about Spiral Obelisks:
My grandson (17 years old) put it together in a few minutes. Love the height. Star jasmine is climbing it. Already hiding the hose holder behind it from view. Hope it will get that aged rusty look I love.
Comments about Spiral Obelisks:
This is the perfect oblesk. Very strong, yet not heavy looking as it waits in the garden for the vines to climb. Assembles and installs easily. I now have three!
Comments about Spiral Obelisks:
Thought this product would be better for a clematis than a trellis. Attractive, simple design.
The wire on the medium seems a little short.
The wire on the large is very adequate.
Comments about Spiral Obelisks:
So far, so good! I bought 3 large obelisks this season for my pole beans after many years of fashioning my own from bamboo or saplings. They are quite sturdy (solid rather than tubular, and the sections screw together rather than just inserting). The uprights assembled very easily, but I would recommend a second set of hands for wrangling with the wire spirals.
They're quite attractive in the garden, too. I may leave them standing for some winter interest.
Comments about Spiral Obelisks:
I am using it next to my raised deck. I didn't want the clematis to grow on the deck rail but I wanted to see the flowers. It's attractive even without the vine. Bought it late in season, hopefully the vine will grow on it next year.
Comments about Spiral Obelisks:
Bought obelisk for clematis vine. Takes 2 people to set-up, get mounted straight on ground surface.
It's very attractive in my habitat, even the birds enjoy it!
Comments about Spiral Obelisks:
The small obelelisk is being used to support my cucumber plant. The large one is being used to help my pink vinebto climb and show off it's wonderful looks.
Comments about Spiral Obelisks:
It`s being used to support a garden hibisus.

Comments about Spiral Obelisks:
Very Attractive, but a little tricky to put together.
Hint: Before connecting the pipes, rub threads with soap, in order to better unscrew at end of season.
Comments about Spiral Obelisks:
I ordered this for my Mom and it was a fantastic buy. Easy to assemble, looks attractive and works great.
Comments about Spiral Obelisks:
I had a little trouble keeping the bottom ring together when placing them in the garden, but otherwise were quite easy to assemble. Can't wait to see my morning glories in bloom on them. They look BEAST in my garden and are a great focal point.
Comments about Spiral Obelisks:
Really nice looking and easy to put together. The design flaw is in the bottom ring not being sturdy enough when put together. It should lock or screw in somehow. When inserting into soil the legs naturally push out and the bottom ring pulls apart.
Comments about Spiral Obelisks:
The box arrived with a hole in it due to very poor packaging. Assembly was okay until you had to attach the circular wire. It was a major pain and a very poor design.
Sorry but I would not recommend this item due to the poor design.

Comments about Spiral Obelisks:
The obelisk is not sturdy, not attractive, and the design is flawed in that it is weak so the trellis bends slightly at the "joints".
Comments about Spiral Obelisks:
It is a great piece for landscape sculpture or supports for vines or vegatables
Comments about Spiral Obelisks:
Really adds a lot to garden!
Comments about Spiral Obelisks:
For the most part it was very easy to use. I ran into 2 problems. 1.I had trouble with the threads on one of the connecting pieces. It appeared to have spurs on it and it was diffucult to screw on.
2. When I went to put it in the soil, and a little bit while putting it together, the bottom round piece kept comming apart. I eventually resorted to a little duct tape.

Comments about Spiral Obelisks:
I was thrilled to find a tall obelisk at a reasonable price. [...] I had high hopes. I went ahead and assembled it even though I won't be able to use it until next spring [...] The instructions were straight-forward, but the physical assembly was very awkward. I did require another pair of hands briefly. One of the rods was slightly bent, but useable. My biggest disappointment was that the spiral wire shown looping around the circumference of the structure from top to bottom is nothing more than a separate packet of wire that you literally have to wrap around the structure yourself. There are no notches or hooks or anything on the structure to guide or hold this wrapping wire in place along the way, so forget about it being uniform or symmetrical in any fashion. Rather shabby and disappointing. :( We'll see how the structure itself stands up to the elements next year when I finally use it.
Comments about Spiral Obelisks:
Since it was going in my flower garden that had lots of plants already blooming, I couldn't use the bottom ring so I left it off and POKEed it into the ground.. will save the ring for use later. I have had windy days and it has stood up.. so far it hasn't tipped in the wind. It looks really pretty and I would buy it for a friend.
Comments about Spiral Obelisks:
My husband and I like the basic design and overall size of this, but the support rods are too flimsy for the height of the structure. Most of the rods are already sagging and we don't expect it to last long. Hopefully, we will be able to improvise some kind of new support rods from the hardware store for next season - the rods that came with it will be lucky to last thru this summer.
Comments about Spiral Obelisks:
I was looking for a very tall obelisk & this definitely fit the bill! It has a very wide base, which makes it sturdy and stable. It was a bit difficult to assemble. Definitely make sure you put it together outside, at or near the location where you intend to use it. Otherwise, it may not fit through your doorway, and it is unwieldy to carry due to its size.
Comments about Spiral Obelisks:
I received one of your coupons as a Mother's Day present, and the tall obelisk was just what I needed to support a climatus vine. It's a great focal point in the garden, is very sturdy, and was easy to put together. It could easily be disassembled for storage, but I need it to be permanent. I wasn't sure if the finish was supposed to just weather, but I painted it green to protect it over the winter and blend with the plants.
Comments about Spiral Obelisks:
I bought the medium size and they were easy to put together; very pretty in the garden. I bought two, one for clematis and one for morning glories. I was going to bring them in over the winter but they may be difficult to store. I may get another one next year for beans in the vegetable garden.
Comments about Spiral Obelisks:
Little difficult to put together. Had to get help from my husband. Bottom ring didn't want to stay together easily either. Wire around it isn't like the picture and was hard to get in a position I liked. We finally went with a "random" look.
Overall though, once it was together, it looked nice and will be pretty with my climbing annual vine.
Comments about Spiral Obelisks:
Good idea, but poor quality. Not worth the postage to send it back. Had planned to use it in the vegetable garden, but it is now off to the side giving support to volunteer sweet pea vines. Doubt that it will still be useful next year.
Comments about Spiral Obelisks:
Wish I had read the reviews before ordering. I ordered two large obelisks and returned one. Putting the large obelisk together is definitely a two person job. Like some of the other reviewers, I had to use duct tape to hold parts together - specifically, the two parts of the bottom ring and, in multiple places, the wire to the poles. Wrapping the wire around the poles was close to impossible for me, and I never was able to get the wire around the obelisk to look like the picture. Further, because I could not get the wire right, the obelisk became somewhat mishapened with the poles bowing in more than they should. Nevertheless, the obelisk will still serve its purpose, and I suppose that, after a couple of clematis vines are growing up on it, the duct tape and bowing won't matter as much. Also, because the land I placed it on was a little uneven, that created another problem of some unsteadiness. I did not return the obelisk I put together because I felt I would never be able to get it apart (what with all the duct tape used)or the multiple pieces packed back up, but I did return the one I had not unpacked. I would not want to go through the aggravation of putting another one together. In short, the price is right, but you do get only what you pay for... I personally would rather pay more and get a better designed product.
Comments about Spiral Obelisks:
I have some Clematis and a Honeysuckle vine growing up these Obelisks in a Shakespeare garden in front of my business. People are constantly asking me where I got them. I think they are a good value for the price, attractive and easy to assemble. Thanks.
Comments about Spiral Obelisks:
I bought the larger of the two obelisks and really do love the way it looks in my garden. The only con would be that it's a little tough to put together with only one person. But, once together, it looks great and really adds nice dimension to my cutting garden.
Comments about Spiral Obelisks:
I've been looking for a long time for the perfect obelisk or tuteur for support for a climbing rose and clematis. This is just perfect! I was concerned after reading the reviews that it would be difficult to assemble and it would need additional ties or wires but it was a breeze to put together even for this old lady. The spiral wire went easily around the obelisk and didn't need any additional ties.
Comments about Spiral Obelisks:
For the price, its the sturdiest obelisk I have found. I'm hoping it will be around for quite a few seasons to hold my pole beans
Comments about Spiral Obelisks:
OK so I read reviews on this product and some said that it was hard to put together. In spite of that I ordered two of them, silly me. Read the directions. Important! Yet, it was very hard to put together. Would be better with two people who also work well together. I did it alone. I used Duct Tape to keep the Round bottom piece from coming apart during set up. I have a stripped thread on one of top pieces of one of the one I started with. I had to use the top piece from the second one to make one that would go together. If you have arthritis I would suggest you not try to put this item together. It took about two hours of struggling with it. After set up it was OK and will serve it's purpose but the poles are not nice and straight, there are three joins in each one where they screw together. The wire while not as bad as some reviewers stated, was still not great. I put the whole spool on the top attached it at the tight end of the "spool" in the top piece and then let the wire's spool sort of unravel down the poles. Not too bad, counted the revolutions, attached the bottom and sort of moved it around on the poles. Overall not what I had hoped for and will have to return the one with the weird piece.
Comments about Spiral Obelisks:
I found that the wire included with the obelisk was so badly wraped around itself inside the packaging that it would NOT coil properly around the obelisk. It looks mangled from having been bent to conform to the obelisk. I finally threw the wire away as it was VERY poorly designed
Comments about Spiral Obelisks:
Bought one large and one medium size for my terraced garden beds. Am planting clematis to grow up them. Very strong, heavy metal with nice antiqued finish. [...]
Comments about Spiral Obelisks:
Liked the style; easy to assemble but found I needed 10-15 black plastic ties to attach wire to the poles. Would encourage future versions to include these in package and instructions.
Comments about Spiral Obelisks:
The obelisk comes in pieces which are easy to put together, although you do need a helper. It requires no tools. I'm using it to support a flowering vine for hummingbirds. Even with the feet 4 to 6 inches in the ground (on a slope), it's still over 6 feet tall. I haven't found another support this tall for such a reasonable price.
Comments about Spiral Obelisks:
Thses obelisks are things of beauty when assembled...but getting there is more than a real chore. The circular wire will not stay in place and is constantly wanting to bunchup at the the top of the structure. This unit really needs some way to attached to circular wire to the upright structure to get and maintain the desire beauty.
Comments about Spiral Obelisks:
I am growing a morning glory on my obelisk and it is working out just great. It looks quite important in my garden! I love the spiral twisting around the poles. [...]
Comments about Spiral Obelisks:
I needed something for my bittersweet plant to grow on and this perfectly fit the bill. It was so easy to assemble and is so attractive - I can't help looking at it every chance I get!
Thank you!
Comments about Spiral Obelisks:
I liked the simple design and easy of assembling.
Comments about Spiral Obelisks:
Very fond of this item. It's attractive in my small garden along with the medium sized obelisk and adds vertical appeal even without any vines on it. The base is wide enough to plant a good sized mounding perennial or small shrub in.
Obelisk is very sturdy for the most part but the improvement I would suggest is to somehow secure the two pieces of the base together with an extra screw or two. As it's designed now, the pieces just slide together loosely which makes putting the bottom legs into the ground rather difficult. As you push one of the legs into the dirt the base comes apart. I ended up taping the base together for installation.
Comments about Spiral Obelisks:
Great for climbing flowering vines.
Comments about Spiral Obelisks:
Pretty easy to assemble, but the spiral wire attaches to only one point at the top and one at the bottom, which can make it a little unwieldy to adjust. Nice looking and quite tall. Should make the pole beans happy.
Comments about Spiral Obelisks:
The obdelisk went together just as the instructions showed. The only "problem" I had was getting the spiral wire to, well, spiral. The top of the wire was bunching at the top while the bottom was fine. To remedy this I tied some twine from the top of the wire down to the support ring and all is good. I would buy another, the design is very different from what else is out there. I'm growing two clematis on the obelisk.
Comments about Spiral Obelisks:
I reall like this product and use it for my clematis. It is very attractive, the price is great, the only problem I had was with the wire that coils around for the plants to climb on. It was very difficult to coil in the possition I wanted. I actually ended up using fishing line woven all throughout the poles. I really needed an extra set of hands to help with the wire. Other than that, it's great.
Comments about Spiral Obelisks:
Most available obelisks aren't tall enough to accommodate aggressive vines like autumn clematis and dutchman's pipevine; I ordered the taller of the two sizes offered. It was relatively simple to assemble and replaces a rotting twig tower.
Comments about Spiral Obelisks:
I'm looking forward to watching the Scarlett Runner beans climb on it. It should be very pretty! It looks wonderful in the garden just by itself.
Comments about Spiral Obelisks:
I love the way these look in my cottage garden. They are large, and substantial, I did have a little trouble getting the spiral part of the obelisk to stay put as it wants to spring back. I finally used wire ties to hold it in place. By the time I got to the third one I got more proficient at assembly. I still love them in the garden in spite of my trial putting them up.
Comments about Spiral Obelisks:
Perfect...have been looking for something this tall and decorative for awhile and this was it!
Comments about Spiral Obelisks:
The Obelisks is a wonderful design and is very attractive. The only difficulty I had was lack of installation instructions. I was able to assemble the Obelisks easily but the cable was difficult to work with. The folks at Gardeners Supply were kind enough to assemble one themselves and advised that the cable should have 8 wraps around the Obelisks. I was able to complete the install with this info.
Comments about Spiral Obelisks:
Attractive.
Comments about Spiral Obelisks:
lovely but round hoop at bottom doesn't stay together when pushed into ground - had to go to hardward store & buy tubing & clamps to hold together, so we basically redesigned them - love the design but they need to have longer ends of loop to work as designed
Comments about Spiral Obelisks:
Much heavier than I had expected. Perfect for growing clematis.
Comments about Spiral Obelisks:
We are using these obelisks as forms for outdoor Christmas tree frames. They are sturdy and will suit this purpose. Much cheaper than more flimsy plastic forms.
Comments about Spiral Obelisks:
I am delighted with these supports. I love growing heirloom pole beans which get extremely tall. The bean tower, though great for other things, is not tall enough! This large obelisk is a good foot or more taller, and for the height (and looks) was well worth the extra few dollars over the bean tower. I was able to put it together alone and without any tools. It looks so nice in my potager garden! I plan to leave it outside year round. It is a good solid steel and I see no reason it won't do well for a long long time. I am glad I got two!
It would be beautiful and a great size for climbing roses and clematis too.
Comments about Spiral Obelisks:
I just bought three of the medium size and have set up one so far. They are very attractive and exactly the look I wanted. There is a small challenge to getting the spiral wire to stay put during final assembly, but I used garden wire for this, which is fine and also stabilizing. I plan to try beans and cukes on them this year, but they would be great for clematis and other flowering vines.
