This product should be made of aluminum, including the hardware and it would not need paint. It would also look better and last longer.
Comments about Essex Tuteurs:
This is very attractive. I hope to get many years of growing climbers on it.

Comments about Essex Tuteurs:
Somewhat annoying to put together. Not very stable after in the ground. Would not purchase again for the price. Thought this would be higher quality. Could have purchased about the same thing at big-box home/garden store for 80% less.
Comments about Essex Tuteurs:
The 7' tuteurs are an attractive addition to my garden----classic and elegant. It wasn't until after I assembled them that I found the instructions, which had been inserted with the packing list on the outside of the box. But no matter---when I called Gardener's Supply Company, they were very helpful in guiding me through the assembly process.
Comments about Essex Tuteurs:
bought this for my butterfly bush that sits on edge of koi pond. It keeps the bush from overtaking the pond. It adds to the landscaping around it and becomes an attractive focal point.
It had some screws that wouldn't tightened, the threads were not made right but my husband just replaced them for a few cents at the local hardware store. Over all would recommend it. Everyone that sees it has commented on how nice it looks.
Comments about Essex Tuteurs:
The towers keep falling over, which is probably my fault, not having secured them into the ground well enough. But even if they had stayed in place, that would not forgive the rusting at the screws that appeared after one week. The hoops also bend when the wind whips the towers. Disassembling the towers and sending them back sounds like a nightmare. I'll probably end up moving the towers against a wall or fence, where they will be more steady.

Comments about Essex Tuteurs:
Not what I expected from the photo in the ad. It also came with very poor quality hardware.

Comments about Essex Tuteurs:
Overall very nice for the price. A few minor things: assembly instructions were not included (or found on the website), but it's pretty self explanatory how to put it together. Two of the posts simply would not line up, even after a little coercion with a rubber mallet, and I had to drill one post so that the bolt would fit. Also, the straps were not all shaped exactly the same so the piece seemed a bit wobbly at first, but once in the ground it is very solid. The straps also nicely hide the post connections. Looks beautiful... now I just have to wait and see how it will hold up to the hot and humid weather.
