I use these to weed my garden as well as pruning dead canes from my roses. They are good because they are flexible and enable you to pull weeds without getting thorns in your skin. They are flexible enough to let you get a good grip on weeds to pull them out. Pretty good with pruning roses, although some thorns do get through the rubber fabric which gets your attention. Overall they are pretty good.

I use these gloves for all yard work. They pad my hands for comfort and keep my manicure clean and in tack. I have put in all my bedding plants, planted trees and spread multch. They also laundry nicely; I do air dry them. I suggest getting at least 2 pairs, so you will always have a clean pair handy.

I have always avoided wearing gardening gloves as I couldn't feel the soil or the plants and my hands paid the price! With Mud gloves I am not aware that I am wearing gloves. My hands don't sweat, the gloves are lightweight and I can really feel the plant and "get into the dirt" and my hands are protected. No more dirt under my nails.
These are the only gloves small enough for my hands. I had been forced to wear childrens gloves before which offered no protection.

I purchased a pair of the MudGlove at a shop while in PA several years ago and have loved them since then. I do not get punctured by the rose thorns or other plants I am dealing with.

I will use nothing but mud gloves to garden with. They keep the dirt and moisture off your hands while gardening. They protect you from thorns and dangerous pests (like bees or spiders). The only bad thing I could say is the finger tips wear out and I have to buy new gloves every year...But I also have long finger nails and that is a contributing factor.

At first, I loved these gloves. They were everything the other posters described, including very, very comfortable. I thought I had found the perfect glove, but alas, after less than 2 months of use, a hole had been worn through the rubber coating on the thumb of my right glove. They were used only for "regular" gardening, nothing heavy duty. I planted only annuals and perennials during that time and used only a trowel and other hand tools, not shovels and spades (which shouldn't have mattered), and I was extremely disappointed to find they had worn out so quickly. I threw them away and am now in search of comfortable, waterproof, and DURABLE gloves again.

When I was little my mom used to bemoan the fact that I was really 'hard' on shoes. As an adult, it is obvious that I am now 'hard' on gloves too! I love these gloves. They fit well, are waterproof, have a great grip, go on and off easily and the knit cuff keeps them on your hands. I buy them for other gardening members of my family.
