As a very tall person the only real drawback to my older-style tractor scoot was the awkward stance required to transport it from site to site in the yard. Now with the extended handle my tractor scoot can easily follow me wherever I go! It's not quite as easy to maneuver while sitting on it, but the trade-off is well worth it.

I have an acre and we installed a very large garden on the end of the property. By adding the handle I was able to walk down to the garden with my Tractor Scoot with no problems at all! I added the basket and can now load all my tools and than on the return trip take out the vegies, weeds and walk right back up to the house in one trip!

there are two holes on the handle. the back one was not large enough. there is a raised nipple there for the handle to lock over and then put the bolt thru. I think for strength.

I thought it would be green since the basket addon is green. Why would you not require the manufacter to make the color green. I have not taken the time to install it. I was so excited to get a handle for my tractor scoot which was purchased only a couple months before the handle change. I put it together, pulled it about 50 feet, and settled down to clip old flowerheads. I shortened the handle while I worked, and within minutes I heard a loud clang and looked back to see the handle and mount, --- barely welded on upright rings -- had fallen off. So it lasted about 20 minutes, with one pull of about 50 feet. Hopefully I just got a bad one. I am sure the company will replace it for me.

I am enjoying the easily removable basket for the scoot.

The only drawback of original scoot was the difficulty pulling it to another part of the garden. Knew immediately when the retrofit was available that it was for me. I am very, very pleased with it. Much cheaper than buying a whole new scoot!

My new Handle makes my Tractor Scoot easier to move from shed to garden and back again...without bending over to push it. The Handle extends and retracts as needed; and even locks upright to act as a steering wheel while staying seated on the Tractor Scoot...so I can scoot more accurately and easier around the garden. The handle also lets me use the scooter as a wagon...to haul stuff around easier.

The item is black not green as in the picture. It didn't fit on my scoot as shown but I found a place to put (1) screw in & it's holding. This is a lot better than nothing or the strap I was using. I had to use my own screw & bolt to attach it.

Loved the seat, but without the retrofit handle it was difficult to move comfortably or safely on our property. The original handle and the weight of the seat made it almost impossible to use. With the retrofit handle I can use it much more easily and safely. It was very easy to install.

I needed the Tractor Scoot because arthritis made bending and squatting hard and purchased it several years ago. The one big problem with it was how difficult it was to drag it to the spot where I was working. Now, with the Retrofit Tractor Scoot Handle, it works perfectly. I can wheel it anywhere I need to go like a little wagon; it makes my gardening much easier. One caveat, call the company and make sure it fits your scoot because it doesn't fit the really old ones.

I love my tractor seat that I bought from you some years ago, but moving it from place to place was a real pain. I tried ropes, dog leashes but still unwieldy to move. When i saw your new improved tractor with the longer handle, I called to see if I could get a that handle but it wasn't available until now. This handle was easy to attach and solves the problem. It locks down in place when you are done pulling it which is a nice feature.

I was already very happy with the Tractor Scoot but the Retrofit Handle seemed to be an improvement. I was very pleased that it was better than expected. The original handle was barely "OK" but as soon as I installed the retrofit handle & it is terrific. It is easier to move around now, whether I am on the Scoot or just moving it.

Seems to work well however there were no instructions detailing the attachment to the Scoot. We had to guess how it was to be attached and I'm not sure we got it right - seems be working but not at the best angle.

Initially it was a bit difficult to get this thing attached, no instructions enclosed; but once I did it really helped to be able to pull the scoot around without bending over. Without this, I was trying to jury-rig something similar. Definitely worth the extra money.

I have arthritis so my husband has built raised beds to make it easier for me to garden. With the raised beds and the deluxe tractor scooter gardening is so easy for me now! I have had my two Tractor Scoot's for some time now useing them daily in my 8000 sq.ft. hydroponic greenhouse where we grow Tomatoes (2040 plants). The Tractor Scoot is idel for pruning and harvesting and working with the tomatoes plants but is a pain to move from row to row, The retro-fit handle is a great improvment.

I gave up gardening for a few years because of my health problems. When I bought the tractor scooter I was able to get back out in the yard and garden but I still struggled with moving the scooter around. It was hard for me to bend over and grasp that little handle and pull at the same time. Right after I bought mine you upgraded to the new handle. I was so dissapointed. When I saw the handle upgrade in your catalog this year I ordered it immediatly. I am sooooo happy now. This item retrofits ONLY the cart that has turning wheels, NOT the earliest one that has fixed wheels. I have the new version with the handle, but find it difficult to turn. It takes brute force. The retrofit handle will not fit on the earliest cart, but no note of that fact appeared in the catalog.
