I invested in this tool after becoming frustrated with broken springs, dull blades, and tired hands after using conventional clippers. This gizmo is fantastic. Lightweight, sharp blades, and comfortable grip make this tool my new best gardening friend. My gardens look great because I can trim all those little spots that can't be reached by a weedwhacker. I use this on rosemary bushes and thin bougainvilla branches. Price for this is great. Very easy and lightweight to use. No more raw hands after trimming rosemary plants. Easy to properly shape plants. Not so great was I had to wait 24hrs before I could first use it. I love it so far, did a lot of work in 1 day.

I had a small battery powered edger many years ago and when I tried to replace it, I couldn't find the same product and the few that I did find were not well made. Once purchase lasted all of one use. But I took a chance on this as I knew that Gardeners Supply would make good on any product that didn't live up to it's description. This is a sturdy and reliable tool for edging lawns, particularly under fences. The longer blade is perfect for small shrubs and plants and is very easy to handle and use. The battery keeps a charge long enough for a few hours of trimming. I would highly recommend this tool.

I use this for trimming hedges and for small jobs around the garden. I wasn't sure when I ordered it, but I have been pleasantly surprised. It won't cut down thick branches, but I didn't expect it to.

I use the product for simply cutting tall grasses that grow around the edges of my flower bed. I couldn't use the product because the blades keep sticking and stalling. It was very frustrating and I will be returning the item.

there are alot of small plants that need deadheading to get a second bloom that were very time consuming using a clipper however now it cut my work time down to nothing so I can move on to tending to something else. the true gardener can keep going all day. there is always something to do. having to work full time and have only weekends to enjoy my garden this enables me to do much more in a shorter amount of time. love love love.

This a great tool for doing those tedious trimming projects. I particularly like it because it is very lightweight, which is great for someone like myself with small hands. Totally reduces hand and shoulder strain, and the risk of carpal tunnel. I highly recommend this product!

It just need a little more power. I couldn't cut my Artic Blue Willows with it. Some Boxwood could be cut, though. But I needed it for my 25 willows that are in the back of our property.

I love this product! My husband is a firm believer in using all hand powered tools so he resisted this, but once he tried it, he loved it too. Makes trimming ivy and bushes a snap. Very light and easy to use. Would definitely buy it again.

Second season of using this lovely Clip & Shear!! Easy to use and for multi purposes. Use mine to trim our shrubs and to trim around flower beds. I do wish that one day they would produce one with larger wheels. This would be the utmost for gardening!! Always happy with this item.

For years I purchased the trimmers that were made exactly the same way (but were less expensive and are suddenly no longer being sold by this national chain). Other brands either only had the 3" blade or simply did not cut well. I did not really want the hedge trimmer option, as these are only heavyweight enough to handle more delicate shrubs; they did not work well on burning bushes or anything with branches more than about 1/8" in diameter. However, it was worth paying more to once again have trimmers like my original ones. Unfortunately, the blades dull quickly, esp. when using them instead of a weed-eater as I do (general grass trimming around flowerbeds). Perhaps extra blades could be sold separately or buyers could have a choice between an extra blade vs. the hedge attachment? I have had to discard several trimmers in the past because I could not replace the blade. Overall, they do an excellent job, and it was actually fun to be able to easily trim again.

I use this not only to trim/shape my shrubs but also the shrubs of many neighbors. The lightness and control make this tool a joy to use. No worry of cutting the cord and the charge holds for quite a long amount of time. Disappointed in the blade for grass trimming. Haven't been able to get that blade to cut/trim grass around area planters/shrubs.

We use the trimmers to cut grass around our courtyard pond that our reel mower cannot fit into. They do hold the charge for 45 minutes or so. As far as blades staying sharp...so far so good, however, we have only used for a month or so.

This product is excellent but only for light trimming. If the branch is too big, it gets caught up in the blade.
I love it, however, you also need a heavy duty trimmer.

I bought this item last year for myself, had gone through many hand trimmers who failed performance in one gardening season. What sold me on this product was the charging system. I am not one to write reviews, but the grass shears are useful for hard-to-cut borders that the mower cannot. I've bought different brands, but these shears are wonderful for small hands, stay charged a long time, and do the jobs well!

I USE IT TO TRIM THE GRASS IN A SMALL CITY YARD AFTER MOWING GRASS WITH A LAWNMOWER. WHAT I REALLY LIKE IS THAT YOU CAN KEEP IT RUNNING BY HOLDING THE TRIGGER UNDER THE HANDLE AND NOT HAVE TO KEEP YOUR THUMB ON THE TRIGGER ON THE TOP OF THE HANDLE. ONCE YOU RELEASE THE TRIGGER UNDER THE HANDLE IT STOP. IT IS EASY TO CHARGE.

I liked it because we can't get electric out to where the hedges are. It ran twice as long as it said it would. I would recommend this product to anyone. We have used it several times and it is just as sharp as the first time.

I own and run a small landscape maintenance company. I do not like the way edgers make the lawns look, too raw. I use this tool to trim the edges of my clients lawns and also, where the lawn is too close to flower beds to mow. I prefer the look and as well, fine this tool very lightweight and easy to use. The charge only last about 20-30 minutes but the charger itself is small and light so I can easily plug it in between uses.

So easy to use. Great for cleaning up the garden in the spring and for trimming flowers during the growing season. Recommended it to my garden club last week. This is the second one I have purchased. we had areas where grass was quite tall, hiding steps and also so close to plants etc. that a mower and/or string trimmer just could not be used and I was finally able to get those areas cleaned up. Also with my arthritic hands I was pleasantly surprised at how easy this product was to use.

We use this clipper around the bases of our rose bushes to trim the grass. Also around the sprinkler heads. It also fits into spaces that the weed whacker won't go. It would be great if there were another battery to keep charged while another is being used. We only get 20 minutes, then must recharge. If the grass is very thick, the battery goes that much faster.

It's great for trimming grass and shaping perrenials that have grown too bushy. At the same time it's not strong enough for using on most bushes.

I use this tool around delicate plantings instead of a weedeater. Very precise in what it cuts. Lightweight and easy to handle. Doesn't require the upkeep of a weedeater so is ready at a moments notice. Also is quieter than a weedeater.

This trimmer was very disappointing. I haven't found anything yet that it's useful for. Does not work well for berry vines or shrubs unless they are very small stems. The things it works for, I would probably use a manual tool instead.

Very disappointed in this purchase. I should have returned it but I ended up tossing it in the trash. I tried to use it on trimming/edging low growing verbena I have in a large flower bed and it was absolutely useless. It did not work for me and I was ashamed I spent the money on this item. I also did not like the way it charged. The manufacturer needs to do a re-design. It is just not robust enough to cut.
