I am on my second heat mat, but did have the other for quite a few years. They really help our seedlings in spring and I always have one under some of my tender house plants in the winter as we keep our heat down as low as we can.

When we bought our first heating mat elsewhere, it was square rather than rectangular, and did not fit well below our seed trays. This mat is exactly the right size, and the prunella in our trays sprouted at least a week earlier than the package said. I am very pleased with the mat's performance.

I love to stick cuttings of landscape plants, houseplants and such. This heat pad has helped me get good root growth. I start seeds toward spring each year and use my trusty heat pad with great results.

Last spring I even used my pad to heat an emergency brooder for newly hatched baby chicks.

The pad is easy to clean and use. I plan to buy the larger size in my nest order.
