Comments about Lavender Plant in Cachepot:

I ordered it for a friend for Christmas. When I was going to visit her a month or so later, she told me that it had met its demise. The plant and pot were both beautiful. I reordered the plant and that also had a tough time. The second was put in the ground in the spring, hoping that it could survive in the ground. It has some life, no blooms, and many dried sprouts. Disappointing. I guess it is just too temperamental.

I wanted it for my desk at work, thought it help with the stress. It was dead within 2 weeks, the plant couldn't handle the stress either. The company was great and imediately sent a replacement which was more beautiful than the first one. I kept that one home in a sunny window. It lasted about 5 weeks and I'm afraid I will loose this one too. I would like to try again but am embarassed to ask.

Lost my care instuctions...Remember reading them..gave it southern exposure and kept it moist. The plant was beautiful and I kept a watchful eye on it. I hadn't touched the plant but decided to and felt dryness...oh my,
Presently, it is in another window which is an easthern exposure, away from the window and drying out..I am sad and I would like help to see if I can save it.
Maybe new instructions might help...unsure tho.

Gave this lavender plant to a friend for Christmas. The cachepot is classy and would go with most room styles. The plant was a delight to behold in our Chicago winter weather and arrived in beautiful condition. I am planning on sending one to my sister for her birthday in February.

Comments about Lavender Plant in Cachepot:

This was a gift for my room but the first one was dead when it arrived. The second one was okay but starting drying out and leaves turned brown on the ends. I thought it may have needed more sun but after placing it in our sun room it still never survived.

Comments about Lavender Plant in Cachepot:

Wanted to order this lavender plant after Christmas, but stock was out. So ordered it when it came back in stock. LOVE, LOVE, LOVE the cache planter! The plant arrived [...] loaded with buds and very green and moist, BUT upon unwrapping it and displaying in my bathroom, I noticed bugs. Notified the company, and they are sending me some bug trap sticks, so hopefully this will take care of the problem. Customer service was very apolegitic and said they changed suppliers, but would notify the supplier of the bugs. Will wait on bug traps and keep fingers crossed the plant survives.

Comments about Lavender Plant in Cachepot:

The substitute cachepot was lovely but the plant itself is too difficult to maintain for most households I sent it to (3). The requirement of low temperature at night and full sun in the day could not be met by any of the three households. My plant died when I had to bring it into the living room for a couple of days. Spare watering was not the problem. I was very dissappointed to pay so much for what became dried lavender.

I love this plant, it smells so good. Also I love the pot and it's color, not too light not too heavy. I purchased this plant as a christmas gift for my mom-in-law and she love it. She put it in her bedroom, the entire bedroom smells like lavender. I will probably buy some more for her or even for me in the future.

    Plant very temperature sensitive
By bjVerified Purchaser from Hereford, TX on 1/12/2010
    Describe Yourself:

    Bottom Line:
No, I would not recommend this to a friend

Comments about Lavender Plant in Cachepot:

This plant arrived in beautiful condition but soon deteriorated. Prospective buyers need to know that the plant is very temperature senstive and needs night temperatures about 45 degrees - who keeps their house at 45 degrees? It was also rootbound in the pot. I did repot it and set it in the storehouse where the temperatures are about 45. I think it will live. Catalog needs to list the temperature requirements.

    but the plant owns me!
By pig ladyVerified Purchaser from Mason. MI on 1/12/2010

Comments about Lavender Plant in Cachepot:

It is beaustiful and so is the "pot". However, the plant owns me because the temperature regime is difficult to maintain in today's home in the North. Maybe more info should be available in the brochure so you realize it will not be easy. I think keeping it blooming will and or is a problem! gmh

I purchased this Lavender Cachepot for my mother who just recently moved into a new home in Tucson, Arizona (zone 9). She is French and just loved receiving it. She keeps it on her front porch to welcome all that come to visit. It is a low maintenance plant which makes it easy for her. Very lovely gift for anyone and one that can be appreciated for a long time.

Comments about Lavender Plant in Cachepot:

It was SO beautiful and Lavender growing is good luck. But,it dried out within a week and was dead within 2 weeks. I buy loads of stuff from Gardener's and this was my first big disappointment. Buy this plant if you are good with plants. I kept mine inside because it can get 20 below zero here in the Rockies. It might have been too dry for it in the house.
