Comments about Three-Piece Plant Terrace Set:

These trays suffer from two major faults. I would not buy them again if I knew this but I have them and don't want to hassle with repacking etc. First this is very badly designed from an engineering standopint. I have all three and still believe the entire section could come down because it is flimsy. With all the furniture assembly company building sturdy everything this does not make sense. Second you can only put in small pots up to 1 gallon. I have orchids on mine and the small 2 gallons don't fit. It loks nice where it is and the pans are a nice idea but does not live up to the catalogue pictures

Comments about Three-Piece Plant Terrace Set:

The product was easy to assemble, but you can't move it once together unless you drag it or have two people lift it from the bottom. It fit a variety of medium sized houseplants, plus a few of the smaller ones (2" pots). I personally prefer to see all three of the stands next to each other, versus splitting it up, but depending on the right sized room and what else is in it, you could get away with it. Overall, I am happy with it ( I fit 25 houseplants on the 3-piece set total).

Replacing an old rickety wooden plant stand, this is very attractive. The separate units allow one to make optimal use of available spaces. I usually have to ask someone to help me with items that need to be assembled, but this was so easy I did it with no help.

Comments about Three-Piece Plant Terrace Set:

Somewhat flimsy construction. Best assembled by two people (or swear a lot). Liberal use of Ty-Wraps required to stabilize unit (~20), especially if you need to move it, post-assembly. Plastic coating not entirely comprehensively applied; use some clear latex outdoor caulk to cover areas that will otherwise rust during the course of normal usage.

    Bottom Line:
No, I would not recommend this to a friend

Comments about Three-Piece Plant Terrace Set:

Although the product looks great in the catalog picture, when assembled it is disappointing. The various pieces do not have a strong connection to each other. When trying to move the entire empty rack, you can't simply pick it up by say the back, you have to pick up the entire assembly by the bottom. It would help tremendously if the connections fit more snugly. It is also very flimsy and not sturdy enough for large plants or for a large number of smaller plants. Overall, we were disappointed with the quality given the price. We would not buy again and would not recommend to others.

Comments about Three-Piece Plant Terrace Set:

I have this product outside along a patio wall. It is beautiful to look at and quite functional once you get it in place, but you need to assemble it exactly where you want it or it falls apart when you try to move it. The other downside is that because of it's design it is very hard to sweep under so the inevitable dried leaves and flowers tend to accumulate.

Assembling the frame was almost impossible without making wedges to hold the pins in the holes.

Some links should be included to hold the three sections together, otherwise the assembly is very unstable.

Comments about Three-Piece Plant Terrace Set:

I had been wanting this plant stand for several years. I wanted to use it to more decoratively hold containers on my deck. It is a little more flimsy than I would have liked. The worst part is the post connectors which connect the section on top by fitting into tubes of the top piece. The connectors could be ALOT more thick in relation to the diameter of the tubes. Because of the size difference, the pieces were wobbly once they were connected. To fix that, I wrapped electrical tape (which is a plastic tape) around the posts and then set the upper pieces on. This worked like a charm, making the entire piece satisfactorily stable. The other issue is the weight of the pots one puts on the middle and upper areas. The metal can support only a certain amount of weight.

I think either the price should come down or Garden Supply should require the manufacturer to use thicker metal with tighter connecting parts.

Comments about Three-Piece Plant Terrace Set:

I purchased this straight shelf unit along with two quarter round shelving pieces and the optional drip trays. The three shelving pieces fit together, but come unattached if jostled. The trays do a good job of containing dirt and water in the case of accidents. But the trays are also fairly narrow in width - so a majority of my pots did not fit on them. Make sure to measure the bottoms of your pots to verify that they will fit.

Comments about Three-Piece Plant Terrace Set:

I bought this to put my cold intolerant plants on, inside my screened porch. I wanted something with trays so I could water without making a mess. Water still over flowed and made a mess. The trays are quite shallow. So I decided to move it to my deck when the weather warmed. It is very hard to move. The pieces come apart easily, where the metal frame sticks hook together. You have to pick it up from the bottom and carefully move it, but it still comes apart. Next winter I will put plastic sheeting under it inside to control the mess. I can't comment yet on how well it holds up over the course of a year or so.
