The A-frame is attractive, but the trays are not. The shelves do not accommodate large pots with plants, so use only with small pots that have their own saucers to protect the wood from staining. I would recommend the frame only for that purpose. I would not recommend the trays, at all

I bought this with starting seeds in mind, but it doesn't offer enough light on the bottom shelf. I use it for house-hold plants now. I love the design, but think it's a bit expensive for the quality. Haven't had it long enough to see how it stands up to moisture...

I was looking for an attractive place to put my houseplants during the winter months. I grow a lot of succulents that are in shorter pots. This works well with shorter plants/pots, not a lot of space between shelves. Also, wood is greener than appears in photo, in person looks pressure treated (allows to be used outside). I do not plan to use outside, not sure how well it will take the weather. Love that you can order optional galvanized trays! No more spilling water all over. The trays looks much better when you place the gravel/stone in the bottom. And biggest bonus, in summer when not using, it folds up flat for storage. Have not found anything like it elsewhere.

Within munutes of the box arriving I had my plant stand set up & full of plants. Thought it would be nice on the deck - but it's so nice looking with a slim footprint that it fits in our office very nicely. Love the A-frame design - plenty of light for each shelf & taller plants can sit at the end. Very fucntional item - and great looking too!
