Stands look great and are incredibly sturdy. Perfect for inside or a covered porch. I would not use them outside in the weather because being powder-coated steel they could rust if the finish was scratched off. Thanks to a previous reviewer for the warning about the legs not being nested with the appropriate top. Without that advice I too would have assembled them incorrectly.

My mom has lots of houseplants so I bought this 3 tier rack to keep the plants off the kitchen floor. She has about 20 potted plants. Each rack only holds about 3 to 5 plants depending on how big your pots are. I wish each rack was a foot longer--especially since the racks cost about [$].

THE THREE STANDS HOLD AS MANY PLANTS YOU WANT; PLANT WEIGHT IS NOT AN ISSUE. THE SHELVES ARE VERY STURDY AND THEY HAVE A NICE FINISH TO THEM. I AM HAPPY WE CHOSE THESE SHELVES. ASSEMBLY WAS A LITTLE TRICKY; I ASSEMBLED 2 OF THEM WITH THE WRONG LEGS BECAUSE I DIDN'T PAY ATTENTION. OTHER THAN THAT, ASSEMBLY WAS EASY.

It was difficult to assemble because the legs that were packed with each top length didn't match that length so when first assembled the stands didn't nest. I assumed that if the legs and tops were bound together they would match, not so,had to take legs off and reassemble. Very frustrating.

But once reassembled they look very nice.

I bought one of these for a friend as a Father's Day gift and one for myself. We both love it. It is pretty, strong, and looks great on the deck. I'm not a fan of products that have to be assembled but this was very easy to put together. My one suggestion would be that the largest shelf could use another brace to improve the stability. Other than that I love it and would highly recommend it. I don't know how it will weather over time, but right now I'm planning to use it indoors during the winter.

We had been looking at plant stands for some time (a year, two....) and these were the first stands that fit the bill; modern (clean lines, simple) and hold a lot of material. They are easy to tuck away... been pleased. Gardner's was easy to work with, and received product quickly. Only downside - which given the junk that we have been receiving and putting together for a decade from China - was small. the legs were mismatched from the tops. However, all fit together very well.

I like these stands and I got them for a great price but they do rust and DO NOT ASSEMBLE them in the pre-packged groups they come in because the sizes are not correct! I put together my first set of 3 tables by myself only to discover that the 3 pre-packaged group of assembly materials were not supposed to go together. Perhaps they did that for weight distribution? I really don't know; but when I built my 2nd set and rebuilt my 1st set I had to open everything and make sure that the longest legs were going with the widest top which was NOT how they were packaged into 3 sets of legs/tops.

I use the plant stand for indoor houseplants. I love the design, as it's simple and doesn't distract from the plants it holds. It is very sturdy, however, two of the stands wobble--i.e., the legs must be slightly uneven. I hate this, because I have humidity trays, and this wobbliness has caused one of the trays to spill a time or two. I have to be so careful not to bump the shelf when I'm trying to open the window that it sits in front. The only other complaint I have is not about the product, but about the lack of clear assembly instructions. Each of the shelves were "bundled" with a set of legs. I assumed these were the legs that went with that particular shelf. After completely assembling two shelves, I realized I had put the wrong legs on these shelves. I had to tear them down and start all over. It was very frustrating, and I don't understand why the legs that belonged to a shelf weren't "bundled" with that shelf...very confusing. In summary, the assembly instructions that came with the product were very lacking.

I tried placing the trio of stands on my small apartment terrace in different arrangements (as a 3-step and separatly) and all worked well. The stands are narrow and do not take up much space, but can be used to hold a good variety of plants of different heights and sizes. They are attractive and sturdy and easy to wipe off if there are soil spills.

I bought two sets . They work well as side tables to existing seating and as good looking plant holders in my patio. They have a unifying effect which individual tables and plant stands can't do. THe plant stands are on the patio perifery and outline the area.
