Comments about Heritage Red Raspberries, 5 Canes:
We ordered the raspberry bed and the plants at the same time. However we got the plants so far ahead of the bed that we're not sure they have survived. Better coordination would have been appreciated. After emailing the company, we got advice on heeling the raspberries in but they had already been in the refrigerator waiting for more than three weeks. Fingers crossed they will still grow. The raspberry bed is great, btw. Perfect for what we needed.
Comments about Heritage Red Raspberries, 5 Canes:
These raspberry canes did not all bloom. I am anxious to see how their growth continues, but am disappointed that only 3 of the 5 are thriving.
Comments about Heritage Red Raspberries, 5 Canes:
I am looking forward to harvesting raspberries this summer.
Comments about Heritage Red Raspberries, 5 Canes:
With little attention these plants thrive and produce in both spring and fall. Fall production is greatest. Very tasty.
Comments about Heritage Red Raspberries, 5 Canes:
All 5 canes have sprouted. I'm hoping I get raspberries this summer as I was told I would.
Comments about Heritage Red Raspberries, 5 Canes:
Plants came before the planters. Planted in small hole till the planters arrived then moved and re-planted. Could have been a little taller it will be 2 years before I see fruit. After all is planted looks great!
Comments about Heritage Red Raspberries, 5 Canes:
[...] I put them in a bucket filled with organic plant soil, watered generously and left it in our cool garage near a window. Slowly, one by one, each root stalk began to form small buds, then shoots out of the soil. It took a full 4 weeks to see all 5 plants begin growing. I just received the raised raspberry planting bed and am ready to transplant them.
Comments about Heritage Red Raspberries, 5 Canes:
I am amazed at the speedy growth of the offshoots. Wonderful taste. Should have some berries before fall on plants started in spring.
Comments about Heritage Red Raspberries, 5 Canes:
I ordered more of these - I was so pleased. Of the first group of 5 that I planted, 4 died and Gardener's Supply replaced them free with 5 more which are now growing beautifully! I am very happy [...]
Comments about Heritage Red Raspberries, 5 Canes:
5 canes....4 grew 1 didn't. But it's only a few weeks in the ground, we'll see.
Comments about Heritage Red Raspberries, 5 Canes:
I am no gardener so I was nervous about planting these raspberries. All 5 stems took right away and all have produced great berries. It worked so well that I am definelty going to verture into more plants !! I would absolutely recommed these plants to anyone !!
Comments about Heritage Red Raspberries, 5 Canes:
I bought ten Heritage raspberry plants and they all died. Was really looking forward to tasty raspberries more all season long. The ones I have fruit for a very short time in late June and early July.
Comments about Heritage Red Raspberries, 5 Canes:
I gave them two stars, as after six weeks only two of the five produced leaves. I dug one of the seemingly dead ones up and it had new roots, so there may be hope. We have had a perfect spring in Colorado for transplanting with plenty of rain.

Comments about Heritage Red Raspberries, 5 Canes:
I received a G/S catalog in the mail at the office and had to take it home to show the wife the inverted tomato plants featured on the cover. While browsing she pointed out the Rasberry (and Blueberry) plants would make a great gift for her upcoming birthday. Wish granted. This was a first attempt at growing fruit and I follwed the explicit directions for preparation and planting. To date the plants are thriving and taken off well. We're much impressed with the health and hardy growth of the plants. There's no doubt these will produce an abundant harvest of delicious fruit. Can't wait !

Comments about Heritage Red Raspberries, 5 Canes:
Of five canes only one took root and grew - and I suppose if you look at percentages, that isn't so bad, but it seems like it could have been better. Makes the price seem quite high for what I received. Still, there are never guarantees, hence my middle-of-the-road rating.

Comments about Heritage Red Raspberries, 5 Canes:
The raspberry starts are very slow to start. The directions for watering the new starts seemed questionable, I felt the need to water more than was recommended. Only 3 of the 5 starts have shown any sign of life after several weeks.

Comments about Heritage Red Raspberries, 5 Canes:
When I received these, I thought they were going to be like all the other plants I have ordered and not actually grow. But to my surprise they started to grow. It has only been a few weeks since I planted them so all we have is a few leaves but I am hopeful that they will produce fruit in the future.

Comments about Heritage Red Raspberries, 5 Canes:
I was skeptical when the canes arrived in April. They were bareroot and didn't look very well. I put them in a bucket of water in my kitchen for 3 days and they perked right up. They have all grown into very healthy plants and are all flowering. I have covered them wilth netting so that I will actually get some of the berries. I figure I will get at least a pint this time around.

Comments about Heritage Red Raspberries, 5 Canes:
Heathy and hardy...they took off like gang busters.
Comments about Heritage Red Raspberries, 5 Canes:
I ordered from a nursery and 2 of the 3 those plants were dead on arrival, the third doesn't look too good. These heritage raspberries I ordered from Gardeners Supply took off within DAYS of being planted and are extremely robust and healthy! Every one of the five plants have leafed out and are growing sturdy and strong, already sending out new canes too. I'm looking forward to harvesting next year! I am most pleased with my purchase from Gardeners Supply!
Comments about Heritage Red Raspberries, 5 Canes:
I was very surprised at the size of the canes and roots when my raspberry bushes arrived. I planted them right away and then we went away for 2 weeks. I was amazed when we got home at how much they had grown and how bushy they were.
Comments about Heritage Red Raspberries, 5 Canes:
I had to keep the raspberries for over a week before planting and they did great. Immediately after planting they started growing leaves. Thgey are very easy to take care of, just a little water every day and they are now showing buds. Thank you
Comments about Heritage Red Raspberries, 5 Canes:
This is my first time trying the raspberries and so far I am very pleased with the product and look forward to the harvest. Within the first 3 weeks we have multiple sprouts and already need to brace the plants. When the "canes" arrived they were clean of inspects, still damp and very healthy. The step by step instructions were simple to follow and we look forward to the wonderful fall harvest and winter desserts.
Comments about Heritage Red Raspberries, 5 Canes:
The 5 plants all took right away, and started sending up new shoots within a month of planting. They plants are behaving exactly as described and expected. Thank you!
Comments about Heritage Red Raspberries, 5 Canes:
All had green wood showing and several had new shoots. It took about a week before I could get them planted. They all are growing well at this point in less than ideal soil conditions (heavy clay). I am very pleased with my plants and am looking foward to fresh raspberries!
Comments about Heritage Red Raspberries, 5 Canes:
The plants arrived in GREAT shape with a huge rootball each (unlike others that I have ordered elsewhere). The plants were healthy and hardy and the planting instructions were clear and helpful. All but one plant are growing nicely (that is the only reason that I rated them 4 stars instead of 5). I expect to be eating raspberries this fall.
Comments about Heritage Red Raspberries, 5 Canes:
I really needed and enjoyed the clear, helpful, and precise planting instructions. When I couldn't plant the canes on arrival, I knew just what to do. I was able to keep the roots damp and ready while preparing the ground. Once in they off and took root.

Comments about Heritage Red Raspberries, 5 Canes:
Three of five sprouted. Two of the three died and I'm not too optimistic about the sole survivor.
Comments about Heritage Red Raspberries, 5 Canes:
grew quickly
Comments about Heritage Red Raspberries, 5 Canes:
Plants were planted according to directions. However, only two of the five plants have leaves after about three weeks. The jury is still out concerning these raspberry plants.
Comments about Heritage Red Raspberries, 5 Canes:
Only 3 of the 5 canes sprouted. Waiting to see if we get any berries this year
Comments about Heritage Red Raspberries, 5 Canes:
I didn't plant these when I recieved them - I had to travel, so it was two weeks before I could plant them. I did keep them moist, as suggested in the instructions. When I planted them, I was sure that 2 of the 5 plants weren't going to make it. However, I followed the instructions and planted them in good starter soil. Within a week, I started seeing green leaves on all the plants. After 4 weeks, I have 5 VERY healthy, VERY happy plants. While it's too early to judge the fruit, I am VERY happy with the quality of the plants, the packaging, the instructions.
Comments about Heritage Red Raspberries, 5 Canes:
These canes were very hardy, not like some of the lessor ones I have received from other companies. These were well worth the money.
Comments about Heritage Red Raspberries, 5 Canes:
so far all 5 plants are healthy and growing. Too early to know about the yield but I'm just happy they all survived!
Comments about Heritage Red Raspberries, 5 Canes:
These are raspberry canes that have planted well and are growing. Can't wait to harvest the crop!

Comments about Heritage Red Raspberries, 5 Canes:
Only two of the five canes sprouted and then one of those died. The other is growing leaves, but no flowers or berries. I am very disappointed. I was looking forward to a wonderful harvest of organic rasberries.
Comments about Heritage Red Raspberries, 5 Canes:
2 of the 5 canes have died, however the other 3 canes are doing well.
Comments about Heritage Red Raspberries, 5 Canes:
Beautiful raspberry bushes grown from 5 bare roots.

I just bought these canes this spring. So far, they all have new leaves and look healthy.

Comments about Heritage Red Raspberries, 5 Canes:
This is my first experience ordering from Gardener's Supply - only two of the five canes sprouted. Also, the instructions for planting stated that the canes should be planted just above the dirt line that was "clearly visible." The lines were NOT clearly visible, making the planting challenging.
Comments about Heritage Red Raspberries, 5 Canes:
I ordered the plants before I should have, they sat for over a week. The Berry area I started is still not completed BUT!!!! The Berries are growing wonderfully & my husband is as pleased as punch that he isn't spending a fortune on raspberries for his cereal! They have only just started ripening, that is more my fault than the plants. Considering I had my husband & my father in the hospital when the plants showed up & I did not tend them as well as I should have, they are still thriving, lots of berries coming very soon! Put it this way, I ordered an Ice cream maker to make some frozen Raspberry yogurt!
Comments about Heritage Red Raspberries, 5 Canes:
I just wanted to add some other types of raspberries to my garden.
