Seed Tapes are the perfect, no-waste way to plant where space really counts — in containers, raised beds, or small gardens. Each strip of biodegradable paper is embedded with perfectly spaced seeds; simply unroll into a planting furrow and cover. Planting is precise, there's little or no thinning needed, and the germination rate is outstanding. Seed Tapes are made by Suttons Seeds, one of England's most trusted growers, and we're offering some of their most reliable and rewarding vegetable varieties.
2009 was a tough year for gardeners in the Northeast: cold, windy, plagued by rain and blight — not the best year to try a new product like these Seed Tapes in our test gardens. But, to our surprise, almost 100 percent of the seeds germinated. Popular with English gardeners for years, Seed Tapes have made believers of us.

Unfortunately the seeds did not sprout. Maybe next year - I will try again
Comments about Seed Tape:
I just planted my garden and I loved how easy it was to plant these seed tapes. It is great how they are already spaced apart. I don't know how they will grow yet, but I am looking forward to an easy harvest.
Comments about Seed Tape:
Easy way to plant veggies! Not too many seeds in one spot and not enough in another, perfectly spaced, great for square-foot gardening.
Comments about Seed Tape:
Great product. It was great not having to worry about thinning the carrots once they got going. Would definitely purchase again. Happy Gardening!
Comments about Seed Tape:
First season using seed tape. Looks and seems like a quality product...comes from an English company that I've heard of before.
Beets are up and running..carrots not up yet
but our weather is unseasonably cold & wet.
I definitely would try it again even though I've not had them in a full season.Like the idea of this product and it's quality!"
Comments about Seed Tape:
This product was easy to plant but will have to wait until harvest to see if I get the carrots that the seed tape had on it. Thanks
Comments about Seed Tape:
This is the first time I have used the seed tapes. They are very easy to plant and the little seedlings are coming up now. I am anxious to see how large the carrots are. I am using a grow bag.

Easy way to grow these types of vegetables
Comments about Seed Tape:
Somedays the arthritis in my fingers makes it difficult to do fine detailed work. The seed tape takes the stress out of handling tiny individual seeds. Gives me optimal planting without worry.
Comments about Seed Tape:
I purchased two tape the frist time and liked it so much that I purchased more.
Comments about Seed Tape:
great product will buy again
Comments about Seed Tape:
these are perfect for anyone; but especially for people that have limited use of one arm/hand, which is my issue this spring. I only wish there were more choices of product
Comments about Seed Tape:
bought 3 types of these and the only one thats giving up anything is the beets which only has given me 13 plants from one .The carrots and spinach was a watse of time and money planted them following directions and nothing I am presently try the carrots again but have no hope in it producing. very bad products.
Comments about Seed Tape:
I planted the beets to frame the border of my garden. The tape was so easy to use and it really works!
Comments about Seed Tape:
Got 3 kinds of tapes for my raised beds. Was so easy to plant and not have to thin after they come up. Still waiting on my carrots to poke there little heads out. Can wait to see how big and how much we get.
Comments about Seed Tape:
The seed tape selection was great, and they re easy to use. Despite heavy rain, they sprouted on time, and in the right place!
Comments about Seed Tape:
Good quality seeds. I will plant the remainder in late summer for a fall supply of the same.
Comments about Seed Tape:
I'ts great you don't over seed.
Comments about Seed Tape:
Planted to tapes one week ago and there is some signs of germanation but to eaarly to tell what kind of success will happen. But so far so good.

Comments about Seed Tape:
The seed tapes are great! Will save me a lot of time and energy planting my carrots. I usually get to many seeds in the area, the carrots come up to thick, an I don't get a good harvest. We have a small raised garden, so the seed tapes will let me use less area to plant the carrots, an hopefully produce lots of yummy sweet carrots.
Comments about Seed Tape:
Planting season in the Pacific NW does not start until the 3 rd. wk. of May. I will be able to rate the products around July.
Thank you

Comments about Seed Tape:
seeds were not a common variety that I can attest to. Radish was not round early belle and lettuce was a heading lettuce that may not produce before the summer heat. I expected a leaf lettuce like romane. I will wait and see for the outcome.

Comments about Seed Tape:
Seed tape is so easy to use without the worry of planting too many seeds in a given area. This is a great product that I highly recommend for any serious or beginner gardener.

Comments about Seed Tape:
Very simple and foolproof to use. Exceptionally high germination. Very satisfied.
Comments about Seed Tape:
Nice, neat, straight rows and delicious, too. What more can you ask for!
Comments about Seed Tape:
The spring onion tape worked out beautifully, however the carrots germinated but never produced edible/sizable roots.

Comments about Seed Tape:
The tape concept is a good idea especially for small seeds such as lettace. I have tried them twice and both cases the seeds did not sprout.
Comments about Seed Tape:
It was so easy to roll out the tape and cover with soil. Then just watch it grow.
Comments about Seed Tape:
I bought the seed tape for the radishes and they grew nicely. However, the seed tape for the carrots did not grow at all (I planted them twice), nor did the seed tape for the beets.
Comments about Seed Tape:
I used this seed tape and though I haven't yet harvested the radishes, they're (almost) all coming up exactly as described in a neat healthy row. Very easy to use.
Comments about Seed Tape:
One of the few products from GS that I am unhappy with, especially the chard seed tape. The chard never germinated despite my adherence to the directions and the radishes which should be a snap to grow were wimpy and failed to thrive. I did a test with seeds versus tape and will stick with seeds. The tape sounded to be a great garden product but did not meet my expectations at all.
Comments about Seed Tape:
This product makes seed starting simple. Just dig, place, water and wait.
Comments about Seed Tape:
I wanted to save time by using the strips so I would not have to thin the carrots, radishes and beets. I really like the concept, but I don't know why they did not grow.
Comments about Seed Tape:
I ordered the chard, radish, carrot and spring onion seed tape. Only about half the chard came up, a quarter of the radish, almost none of the carrot and none of the spring onion. Of note, I also purchased seed locally which has been successful. I've always been very happy with my Gardener's Supply purchases but I won't do these again!
Comments about Seed Tape:
Planted strips per instructions in a working garden and very few seeds germinated. They were watered properly.
Comments about Seed Tape:
This is absolutely the only way to plant the small seeds. Plants are evenly spaced, minimal weeding and thinning.
Comments about Seed Tape:
Tried to plant carrots and onions two times to no success. Chard was fine. 2 out 3 bad is a failing grade
Comments about Seed Tape:
1st time I have ever succeeded planting seeds. They are so easy to use. Avoids overseeding. Will buy again when I use these up, carrots, lettuce, Swiss Chard, Scallions and radishes.
Comments about Seed Tape:
had room for one of the 3 tapes from the packet of beets. From that tape 7 - count 'em - 7 beets germinated. This was after waiting for the packets to be allowed into the country after they sat at the Canadian border without approriate papers!! Not sure what happened 'cuz it sure sounded like a good deal! wondering what will happen when the onions and carrots are planted - not impressed so far.
Comments about Seed Tape:
I bought 3 different tapes, 2 of the three never grew. didn't use the whole tape the first time, so replanted the 2 and they still never grew
Comments about Seed Tape:
All I can say tape seeds easy and wonderful, easy to plant I will try to ordser earlier next year. Love them. thank you Jerryl Rowse

Comments about Seed Tape:
I love your tapes. They all came up, so I had enough to share with friends. Please add more varieties next year.
Comments about Seed Tape:
just wish I would have ordered earlier so I could get more rotations in!!!
Comments about Seed Tape:
Great for a beginner like myself. I would have never gotten perfert rows without it which made me feel more confident. Also a great gift to give a new gardener.
Comments about Seed Tape:
I was looking forward to trying the seed tapes out because there would be less thinning needed. The lettuce worked well enough but the carrots were disappointing. Not very many came up out of half of the tape being used.
Comments about Seed Tape:
After only a week the items sprouted and are growing wonderfully.
Comments about Seed Tape:
Love this produce, easy to plant. Very little thinning needed. Wish it were available in more vegtables. Looks like all seeds are germinating.
Planted in raised bed so simple.
Comments about Seed Tape:
For years bending over and planting seeds has become a pain. Then came the multiple seeds in one spot that had to pulled. What an excellent idea! Saves so much time and pain!
Comments about Seed Tape:
Just planted them tonight and couldn't have been easier. It's nice to know that there isn't any waste. Can't wait to see how they grow.
Comments about Seed Tape:
The seed tapes made it ease to add to my small garden. Radish came up fast and big

Comments about Seed Tape:
The gardeners Seed Tape was so simple and easy to use. I used my finger to make a depresion in my soil and laid the Seed Tape in it and covered with soil. Watered and about 5 days later I had dozens of sprouts!! I will have letus for salads all season long!! Planting time, including opening the package, was about 1 minute! What could be easier!

Comments about Seed Tape:
Seed tape makes planting carrots and onions a breeze. I wish I had found it sooner!
Comments about Seed Tape:
The seed tapes are easy to use, but if you get them damp beefore they're covered with soil, they fall apart, so be careful. Still waiting for the carrots to do something, but the beets and radishes are coming along nicely.

Comments about Seed Tape:
I bought Radishes, Carrots, Spring Onions and Beets, all of them have come up so far. So much eraser then all of the tine little seeds
Comments about Seed Tape:
Very easy to plant but after weeks these still have not germinated.
And it has been wet and cool since planting.
If they germinate, I will definitely use this form of planting again.
If not, that's it for a good idea.
Comments about Seed Tape:
Seed tapes are nearly impossible to find in stores. I love that Gardener's Supply carries them!!
Comments about Seed Tape:
This is the first time I used the tapes. I bought both the beets and carrots. "Planting" was easy. They have not had time to germinate yet, but when they do, I know I will have less work thinning them out. Also that will decrease the chance of ruining the remaining seedlings.
