Comments about Compost Plus Germinating Mix, 20 Qts.:

After cleaning up the gardens to the best of my ability I use the organic compost and at times the germinating mix where applicable. The soil, my shrubs and my trees drink it up like water. I'll be ordering more this week to ensure that the backyard can enjoy this nutrition too.

Comments about Compost Plus Germinating Mix, 20 Qts.:

I have been gardening for close to 30 years and
have used the starting mix from Gardeners Supply
all that time. Recenly switched to this new mix
and find it everybit as good, if not better, than
the original product. My seedlings enjoy close to
a 98 percent germination rate and, in most cases,
I plant directly from container to the ground, or,
in the last few years, into my Earth Boxes, in that I gave up my large garden due to old age
creeping up on me. It does all that is claims,
    and more.

Comments about Compost Plus Germinating Mix, 20 Qts.:

I have started many of my vegetables and annual flowers for the past 10 years. I am always looking for something to improve the process. The Compost Plus Germinating Mix provided the perfect seed bed that resulted in a large majority of the seeds producing plants quicker than anything I have previously used.

I will definitely use it again and highly recommend it to others.

Comments about Compost Plus Germinating Mix, 20 Qts.:

I have used the traditional seed starting mix with the self watering APS systems for at least 15 years. I decided to try the compost mix this year for the first time. On average I plant about 42 24-plant trays a year. I found that with the compost mix, I needed to use very little fertilizer and the roots grew more slowly which is an advantage when starting plants under grow lights indoors. The mixture was a little coarse so I had to take out a few stems and bigger chunks but overall I found that the compost mix worked really well for tomatoes, peppers, eggplants etc. It is more expensive but each bag fills more trays and I was able to reduce my fertilizer applications to almost nothing. My plants were really healthy this year.
