Comments about Composite Lumber, Set of 2:

Actually had an earlier version of this already in use. The current version has a woodgrain look which is nice. Easy product to work with. Just be careful as the product is hollow (with internal supports) so you can put a hole in the exterior if you get careless and drop something heavy on it. Otherwise gets the job done and should never need replacing. It is expensive but if you can afford it and desire something permanent this can be a good choice. Given four stars instead of five primary due to price.

Comments about Composite Lumber, Set of 2:

I don't look at it as lumber since it is hollow. It does assemble easily with an electric or battery powered drill. I don't know about durability since I only put it in this year.
Harder to remove the sticky labels.

Comments about Composite Lumber, Set of 2:

I am using the composite lumber with the raised bed corners as the newest raised bed in my vegetable garden. It was perfect in fit, and I couldn't believe how quickly the two items fit together and were ready for soil. I plan to replace the other wooden beds with these two products since after their several seasons the wood is beginning to rot. Because these were so light, I don't have to dred the labor that it took to do the older wooden beds.

Use as a temporary seed starting bed. Hollow boards make catching sluges and pill-bugs a snap!
I wish they looked a bit more realistic.

Comments about Composite Lumber, Set of 2:

This is a terrific product. I don't know why Gardener's Supply seems to offer it only occasionally. The 6" height of the boards is ideal for most veggies. The other raised beds offered that are 10" require too much soil for shallow rooted veggies.

Comments about Composite Lumber, Set of 2:

I am sure that product would have functioned well however my client lives in a planned community & this product was "too ugly" to work for her. UNSIGHTLY-clashing colors, no option for another color & sold to work with the in line connectors & corners however installed would have been visually hideous!

Comments about Composite Lumber, Set of 2:

I strongly recommend this product for making raised beds for vegetable gardens. the 5.5" height is just right for most veggies. You don't need to break the bank to buy the amount of soil you would need to fill a 10 or 12 inch deep bed. This is just the right height. This is a far superior product over using the grow beds offered.

Comments about Composite Lumber, Set of 2:

We have bought many of the composite lumber to make it like a retaining wall on the hill in our backyard. Midway down the hill we use one composite piece of lumber the whole width across and at the bottom we stack 2 the whole width across. The composite lumber holds our green rubber mulch perfectly. We especially love the composite lumber for it's durability of the intense Florida sun, it does not rot like wood.
