Bought 4 of these for my new garden! Really excited to get it all planted. My organic gardeners put it all together with minimal tools and in very little time. Let's hope we get a good growing season! Nice beds!
Comments about Cedar Raised Bed, 3' x 6':
Only assembly required is drilling in screws and popping on plastic caps. Great for creating good, nutrient rich soil from scratch. I alternated layers of newspaper and organic matter, which means I didn't have to till. Very attractive. ALSO- it's not treated with chemicals like some wood slabs that you would buy on your own are.

I ordered two of these raised beds. Next year I am ordering more. They were so easy to put together, and they make my garden look beautiful. I am so excited each morning to go outside and see the healthy fruits of my labor, blooming. I also used the garden design plans and I couldn't be happier.

Here in Pittsburgh, we have clay soil with a layer of shale--very difficult to grow vegetables. Raised beds of compost are best, and this one is a great combination of attractive natural wood and rot-resistance. And it smells good as a bonus!

I used this bed for planting lettuce, onions, carrots, beets, and radishes, everything is coming along great, and it is easy to work.
Comments about Cedar Raised Bed, 3' x 6':
you do need to drill pilot holes for the screws. I like the size. A 4x8 bed is a little too big for me too comfortably use.

I use these to start a first time organic garden for kitchen variety plants. Wow this is a great way to get started. Now we'll see if I actually have a green thumb.
Comments about Cedar Raised Bed, 3' x 6':
I just put these together and found that it was very easy to do it by myself. Just needed a power tool and I was good to go. The beds look great when put together and I am looking forward to putting them to use.

[...] this was a price efficient way to add 2 new raised beds. I had already built a larger one last year using the raised bed corners from Gardener Supply and they were of such high quality so I figured why not try the pre-cut cedar beds. Am I happy I did! The total time it took me to assemble the 2 beds was under 1/2 hr. They are currently filled with soil and compost and are home to my onions, beets, carrots, and Chard.

using it as a raised garden bed - will use one for asparagus and the other for herbs

It is attractive and easy to assemble. We are happy with our purchase.
Comments about Cedar Raised Bed, 3' x 6':
Boards are cut exact size with no splinters or rough edges. Cuts at my local hardware depot are NOT even guaranteed to be correct, cut off-size, with splintery edges, and won't make a square bed. Don't bother going local- these are more, but worth it as a peice of landscaping.

Comments about Cedar Raised Bed, 3' x 6':
The holes needed for the screws were not pre-drilled so that a drill was definitely necessary. It turned out that the holes in some of the brackets were smaller than the width of the screws so it was impossible to use the screw supplied. I had to get smaller screws to assemble the bed. I think it might have been easier to have purchased wood and made it myself.
Comments about Cedar Raised Bed, 3' x 6':
I put this raised bed together single-handedly and am looking forward to growing my kitchen garden here! It seems like it will be sturdy and will weather well. Good product at a decent price.

I ordered two of the raised beds at an affordable price[...]. These were delivered right to my door, took less than 30 minutes to assemble. I filled with appropriate amounts of topsoil, sand and peatmoss, and now ready to start planting, one for veggies, the other bed for flowers. I'm very pleased with this product.

I like being able to use premeasured wood and the corner joints fit well. I'm getting started, so creating my own raised bed from scratch would have been a daunting task.

I put together in about 45 minutes, without much difficulty. I have RA & have trouble with my hands, but still managed to get together. Looks good, holds a LOT of dirt (about 10 bags) and I already have my cucumber & herbs coming up. I love it!

I have just received my THIRD raised bed garden and can hardly wait to get started! I have amazed my family, friends and neighbors with the amount of herbs and vegetables that I can grow and share. These beds are easy to assemble and can be placed anywhere. Care and upkeep are incredibly simple and the level of satisfaction can't be measured. In addition, there is great guidance on the website, and I have supplemented my knowledge with the book "Square Foot Gardening" also offered on the web site.

I have finished putting my two beds together with only a little trouble from one board. The rest went together perfectly. They are easy to move and put in place. We've dug out the sod under them, but I haven't put dirt in them yet. They appear to be sturdy and are very nice looking.

We put one of these into our backyard over the summer for some fall vegetables. It's really worked out great.
I spent some time looking around at buying cedar from a lumber yard but once you factor in the cedar, the joints, etc. it was cheaper to buy this kit! It's well made, assembles in about thirty minutes and looks nice. I'll be buying a second at the beginning of spring!
Comments about Cedar Raised Bed, 3' x 6':
I purchased this raised bed to start a vegetable garden for next year. I just planted cover crop this fall to get the soil ready for planting. So far no complaints. The bed went together easy with a drill and looks great! No bowing on the sides from the pressure of the soil.
Comments about Cedar Raised Bed, 3' x 6':
This is a fantastic deal for the price. It assembled in ~15 minutes. The cedar seemed to be in good condition, the joints too.
I looked around for the individual brackets and wood myself and in my area it was more expensive to buy it separately. We'll be buying a second one at the start of next season!

Have considered building raised beds on my own, buying the lumber etc.Since not owning an SUV or truck, is one of my crowning achievements, buying this product was the way to go.
Given its simple functionality, the design is well thought out. the corner brackets take care of the trickiest part of creating a rectangle, and the wood is cut to correct size.
All you need is a screw driver or drill. I got by with a screw driver. No hassles, does what it is advertised to do.

The product is more or less as stated in the description with one small difference. The wood is NOT pre-drilled and requires a power drill for assembly (unless you want to sprain your wrist trying to seat the screws without holes).

Comments about Cedar Raised Bed, 3' x 6':
In our previous home I constructed raised flower/herb/vegetable beds using 2x12 cedar. Although the wood on these beds is 1x7 cedar, the ease of assembly with metal corner brackets and stability when installed was surprising and the cost was less than my DIY design.
Comments about Cedar Raised Bed, 3' x 6':
This is a good size for reaching all areas of the bed without having to actually step into it. It was also easy to assemble.
I have two. I bought one last year. It faded considerably after the first year. Turns to gray, but it still looks good.

Comments about Cedar Raised Bed, 3' x 6':
First year putting in a vegetable garden. Needed a drill and a screwdriver to assemble. A couple of the holes in the metal corner pieces were too small for the screws but the rest of the screws were enough to hold it together. It was fairly quick to assemble, easy to move and suits our needs just fine. It's very nice looking and I wouldn't hesitate to order another one if I need one.

I needed to downsize my veggie garden due to time constraints, rasied beds are the perfect solution, this kit, made it easy to assemble and are great space savers.

We just started our first raised bed vegetable garden. This product went together easily and looks very nice. Will purchase another one to add to the garden next year.

Works great with the planting grids available from Gardener's Supply as well. Very easy to assemble, quite sturdy and durable. It's exactly what I was looking for in a raised bed planter.

It was a bit hard to get in some of the screws. But otherwise pretty straightforward.

As a first time vegetable gardner, my husband and I wanted to purchase a product that would be easy to assemble, looks attractive, and resistant to New England's hot summers and cold winters. We purchased two Cedar Raised beds and they are all that and more. Our neighbors like them too. I would highly recommend this product to anyone.
Comments about Cedar Raised Bed, 3' x 6':
This raised bed is solidly constructed [...] I've had mine for two months now and am very happy with it. The plants are thriving.
Comments about Cedar Raised Bed, 3' x 6':
I loved the ease of assembly, the quality of the wood, and the perfect depth for my raised bed gardening. I purchased two of these kits after I had built several other beds and wish I had found these earlier and had used them exclusively.
Comments about Cedar Raised Bed, 3' x 6':
We bought the raised beds to have ready access to home-grown vegetables. They fit nicely into the flowerbeds near our house and make an attractive addition. They were easy to assemble and we look forward to many years of use.

Being a first timer at this, I had plans on where to put it and what to plant. I didn't realize that the roots would be going down into the ground. So I am not able to use due to I have no where to put it. I am disappointed and now not sure what to do with it. Any suggestions would help.

I bought two of these and assembled them in one afternoon. Although I am not a handyman assembly was simple. They look great - so great I placed another order for three more. Now I am planning on adding another on top of one bed for next year for deep rooted plants like tomatoes. You cant go wrong with these - I checked everywhere for alternatives to reduce the cost of the beds but these tied for the least expensive option. These are a must for a veggie garden!

It seems sturdy and was easy to assemble and has good capacity. Just set it up a few weeks ago so I'd love to revisit this review a year from now after it has gone through an entire growing season.
Note: the directions I printed off the website are not the right directions. They must be for a previous model. Use the ones that come w/the package.

I use for vegetables and flowers. Love the look and size. Love the cedar over plastic products. A taller size would be nice to have though, as a choice to have. I give it only 4 stars rather than 5 because of the awkward assembly.

This product is perfect for me. It fits the space I had planned perfectly. Inside the form I put a layer of newspapers down to keep weeds and grass from growing, then a thin layer of sand, a layer of river bed rock, a layer of crushed granite and then topped it off with garden soil. After the plants start growing I'm going to put mulch around the plants.

I bought two of these to begin some raised gardening in the backyard. The only reason why I didn't give it five stars is because I wish that it were just one inch higher for deep rooted vegetables. Otherwise I am happy with my purchase.

These beds were very easy to put together. They have a nice functional look, but I wouldn't call them decorative - perfect for a vegetable garden or cutting garden though. I haven't gotten to see how they handle winter & the frost heave that comes with it here though.

Because of poor soil, raised beds offer the opportunity to customize the soil to enhance the ability to grow vegetable transplants with a better chance of success. All that was necessary was the addition of drip irrigation to provide a regular supply of water. Soil tests provide the perfect solution to providing a perfect growing medium by enhancing deficiency in NITROGEN, PHOSPHORUS, AND POTASH, as well as, adjusting the PH for the vegetables to be planted.

Arthritic knees have made gardening extremely difficult. This item is so helpful---it raises the weeding area--not as many weeds in a raised bed--has made gardening so much more enjoyable--plus somehow the veggies look much better and are easier to care for in nice neat batches.

This is the third summer since we moved. The first year very little tomatoes and plenty of cucumber grew but nothing else (no lettus, raddish, corn). Last year nothing grew. This year we bought this raised bed and added self watering coniner mix, compost, etc. Tomatoes are growing so much, and nice size of cucumbers. Even egg plants, okura, green pepper and leek. For an amateur like me this is the solution.

At the moment there are two in use with two more ready to go. It keeps the garden area somewhat separated from the play area. I'll be using them to rotate vegetables each year to avoid pests and diseases.

Comments about Cedar Raised Bed, 3' x 6':
In the southwest, the soil is so poor that the only luck I've had with veg gardening is in containers and in these raised beds. I have one of these cedar beds w/ lettuce, spinach, snap peas, shallots, radishes, and it's doing great. Also like the raised bed corners and am thinking of putting in a third raised bed for strawberries. Excellent value.
