Bring your garden up to a whole new level! Our elevated bed is easy to plant, tend and harvest without kneeling or bending. Plus, it offers creative landscaping opportunities. Set up one or more of these rectangular beds around the edge of your patio to add privacy, or arrange several along a perimeter to create a garden "room". Comments about Elevated Cedar Raised Bed:
This is a beautiful planter box. I bought it for my tomatoes which previously were in 10" wooden pots. Last Summer we had 50 mph winds and all the tomato plants got knocked over. This should do the trick nicely. The only thing that was difficult is you should have a drill or automatic screw driver to put it together. I did it the old-fashioned way and got a big blister on my palm, but it was worth it. I have already had many compliments from neighbors about how pretty the box is.

Was easy to assemble. Very nice and sturdy raised bed. No bending over for this one! A real back saver. We put ours in the back of our perennial garden and filled it with strawberry plants. We are hoping for an abundant crop!

The boxes were very easy to put together. I used the garden planner on this site to create my gardens. Using the planner was VERY helpful in getting started. I put my gardens in my back yard on a deck my husband built for them and I love them!
Comments about Elevated Cedar Raised Bed:
We assembled our three raised beds and set them up after leveling the ground underneath. They are all in a row and even without the soil yet, they look great!
Soil arrives tomorrow and then we'll start the vegetable garden.
It will be nice not to have to kneel and bend so far to get to our garden.
We are thrilled to have these wonderful products!

i am just in the process of getting it planted.
I love it so far because I can not get down on my knees anymore. Will be interested to see how it fairs the season and winter.
This is a great item for the elderly who still love gardening.

Comments about Elevated Cedar Raised Bed:
This is a great designed product. The quality is excellent. I am 55 years old and love to grow veggies. It has gotten harder to get the big tiller out, weed the garden, keep the animals out. With this product I don't have to worry about the above. It is so easy.

Comments about Elevated Cedar Raised Bed:
These are just right for my back yard. I have been doing square foot gardening for years now at 60yo it is getting hard to get down and up again. Height is just right. I would suggest that you buy 6 bags PERLITE per unit use that first before adding the soil that way keeps dirt away from wood and will last longer.

Comments about Elevated Cedar Raised Bed:
The raised bed was easy for my husband to assemble and attractive for the side of our deck. We have a late growing season so have just planted lettuce, spinach, beets and radishes in it, and hope the southeast location will help with earlier veggies this year. Then will transplant peppers and cucumbers into it later this spring. Love the height of this bed, has made gardening easier this spring.

Comments about Elevated Cedar Raised Bed:
This raised bed makes it possible for me to continue to raise my own vegetable garden even now that I can no longer bend over to plant thinga.
I simply stand and do all my planting without having to bend over.

I thought this would be difficult to assemble. I even set a date for a friend to come over and help me put it together. He couldn't make it so I decided to give it a go myself and was able to get the entire thing assembled without any help. It is very attractive and seems very sturdy.

Comments about Elevated Cedar Raised Bed:
These are absolutely LOVELY. I was expecting something more rough-hewn, like my cruddy cedar fence, but these are virtually knot free straight grain 2" x 8" cedar panels, smooth side out. The pictures make them look really "planky" but they are not (at least not yet). We were prepared to stain them to match our house trim but they are too pretty to stain. I am thinking I may oil them to keep them from greying.
I was concerned that there were no reviews nor any larger pictures but I took the leap and ordered two of these anyway since they are exactly what we had decided to build for ourselves. Once we priced out the parts, it was just as expensive to build it as buy it here.
Each planter arrives in two boxes one big (8' x 2' x 10") and one little (2' x 2'x 10"), our FedEx driver requested we help him unload. That was fine since we were here but would have been an issue otherwise since we weren't told we needed to be home.
My only concern is the marine plywood, I didn't really think ahead of time or research whether this was an appropriate substance to grow food on top of, I still am not sure. The plywood (which is 1/2" btw) is stained with something (I assume to make it waterproof since marine ply is just regular ply with fancier wood and waterproof glue) and I need to contact customer service for more info. I might line the bed with polyethylene sheeting to be safe.

Comments about Elevated Cedar Raised Bed:
I use this bed upside down so that the soil depth is 2 feet deep (instead of 1 foot). I was happy to learn that it has a bottom, so that it can be used on a deck. I currently have my overflow tomatoes in it and I love it so far (and my tomatoes seem very happy in it). Next season, I plan to use it exclusively for my carrots. I did drill air holes around the bottom to prevent my deck from rotting from trapped moisture, since the air holes it came with are covered with soil (from being used upside down instead of right-side up). It is attractive enough to be used as a planter for ornamentals on a deck or porch. It was very easy and quick to assemble--took less than 20 minutes (with one person helping me). i highly recommend it.
