Who says raised beds should blend into the landscape? This one is meant to be seen! The bright periwinkle blue color looks great planted with vegetables or flowers and provides a year-round splash of color that’s especially welcome during the drab days of winter. Raised beds are the most productive way to garden, and this Grow Bed makes it easy. The interlocking corners snap together in an instant and the rigid sides hold soil without bulging. We made them a generous 10" deep so they’re suitable for all crops, including root crops like potatoes and carrots.

  • Bright blue Grow Bed looks great year-round
  • Deep enough for all types of crops
  • Raised beds are easier to plant and maintain than in-ground beds
  • Space-intensive gardening produces high yields
  • Choice of two sizes
  • Add the , sold separately, to grow on most any surface

Comments about Periwinkle Grow Beds:

I really like this product. It took a bit getting it set up but once I got the 3"x6" box together it was easy to place and fill with dirt. I did not know that a drill would be needed to make the holes to connect the center portions; thankfully I had one and the battery was charged.

Comments about Periwinkle Grow Beds:

I am deeply disappointed with these beds. First, they were a pain in the neck to assemble and they feel flimsy and weak to me. I am especially angry that the 3'X6' beds are actually 3'X3' beds with "extensions" I don't remember every reading about this or seeing it in the various photos. That Gardener's Supply would charge essentially double the price for two additional three foot sections (and the squares of plastic and piece of bent metal that connects them) is offensive. I expected 6' long, rigid sides. After a lot of cursing, sweating and bleeding (I knicked my wife's hand while drilling the holes for the plastic plates) they are ready to be leveled and filled in our garden. The color is nice, but I am very, very unhappy with this product. I have purchased a lot of items from Gardener's Supply over the years and this is the first time that I am so badly disappointed with a product.

Comments about Periwinkle Grow Beds:

I'm not sure I'd buy this again. I purchased the 3X6 bed and after I filled it up with soil the sides started to bow out. I'm still keeping it but my next raised bed will definitely be wood. Perhaps the results with the 3X3 would be better.

This is our first time trying a garden. The raised beds are easy to assemble and arrange. Love the periwinkle color. We thought using the raised beds would eliminate weeding and trying to amend our soil.
Absolutely the way to go.

Comments about Periwinkle Grow Beds:

It's just the right size for a small kitchen-type garden. Right now, it's too early in the season to see how well it holds up. The panels do feel hollow, and it was awkward to assemble. Hopefully it will be worth it once things start growing.

Comments about Periwinkle Grow Beds:

We are relatively new to FL gardening and have had limited luck growing veggies in our soil.. even whith added components. Decided this year to try your 3X6 model in West central FL. Initially I used the 3x3 instructions, but soon realized that I needed to rework those to assemble the long sides first. Job would have been easier with a 2nd pr of hands to hold the 3ft sections in line. Job is done and we are hopeful for some fresh veggies this year.

Comments about Periwinkle Grow Beds:

[...] I really like this raised garden bed, great value for the price, easy to put together, did it alone except the bracing for the 3'by 6' bed. I had to have my friend drill in the support brackets. The smaller one does not need to have this done.I also like the fact if I want to make it bigger I can buy addition units and connect them. It is very lightweight, durable and very easy to put together. All you do is put two of the sides together and push a pin down to connect it. Then when all that is done, you put the metal support brace and side brackets. Those are for the 3 by 6 only.Only complaint, the side corner cover pieces could have been made better. One broke while putting it on the corner. However, you can not notice and still fits into place. It is for decor only and will not affect the garden itself.
