The ground around here is red clay. So with the rasied bed, my plants can get a head start growing in six inches of black soil.

Comments about 3' x 6' Cedar Raised Bed with Two Free Gardening Grids:

This went together easily, we filled it with 10 bags of soil, 2 bags compost, and half a bag of peat moss. The grid dividers helped to lay things out and everything is growing away. We semi-buried a soaker hose that makes daily watering easy when necessary. And we put landscaping cloth in the bottom to stop any sneaky weeds from coming up from the bottom.

Comments about 3' x 6' Cedar Raised Bed with Two Free Gardening Grids:

I sent this to my son in Seattle who is renting a house. His lease is up in a year and he will most likely go to an apartment. This grow bed can go with him. Also, the yard is in shade and the sunniest spot at the rental house is the deck, so he can use a tarp to protect the deck and still grow his veggies. He was very excited to get this grow bed and very anxious to plant.
