This is our most versatile garden fabric. It provides frost protection down to 28°F, allowing you to extend the growing season in both spring and fall. In cool weather areas, it can also be used as a summertime pest control.

This fabric will be used to protect some young trees from Japanese Beatles as well as this year's crop of 13-year locust.
Comments about All-Purpose Garden Fabric:
I been able to stagger planting since March 20. By doing so I have harvested spinich and lettuce 6 times already. Makes for great salads for dinner
Comments about All-Purpose Garden Fabric:
I use this product to cover potted annuals and hanging baskets. Living near a glacier, we get freezes extending through May sometimes early June. It has saved many of my fragile annual plants from dying many times over. I love it!!
Comments about All-Purpose Garden Fabric:
Lightweight but tough. Helps to warm up the bed with our cool Oregon spring. discourages root weevils and other creepy crawlies. Leafy vegies go from garden to table with little washing, as it keeps them so clean and bug free.
Comments about All-Purpose Garden Fabric:
Lightweight but tough, sprouting plants have no trouble pushing up. Helps warm the soil a bit which I need in our cool wet Oregon spring. Protects root vegies from root weavil and other creepy crawlies. Keeps plants clean, I can pick lettuce, spinach, and other leafy vegies and use with little washing.
Comments about All-Purpose Garden Fabric:
Tears easily. Does not work well with Hoops and clothes pins come off easily in the wind.
Comments about All-Purpose Garden Fabric:
Needed to be out of the country for a little while during prime planting time. Started my seeds early and used the garden fabric over a metal frame (also bought at Gardeners Supply!). When I returned my plants were growing well!
Comments about All-Purpose Garden Fabric:
The all purpose garden fabric was a total disappointment. It is essentially non permeable to water. After going to a lot of trouble to install it, I had to take it down in order to water my plants.
Comments about All-Purpose Garden Fabric:
I buy concrete grid and cut it in half to make arcs to lay the fabric over. Then use "u pins" to hold down the fabric over my lettuce or anything I want to protect from frost a while longer. Makes my growing season a bit earlier and a bit longer too.
Comments about All-Purpose Garden Fabric:
I used this in Scotland where it really got cold to save my seedlings. I used it againts pests on fruit bushes. I used it to cover againts strong wind. You can peg it down, put a brick on it, soil on it, it washes off. Sun goes through, rain goes through and best of all, nothing else goes through. Great stuff. I have raved about it so long in the USA it is now available here.
Comments about All-Purpose Garden Fabric:
Also bought the double hoops. My husband thought I was nuts when I bought this. Had to plant my puny seedlings, but we were expecting heavy rain. I attached the fabric to the hoops with clothespins. It worked great! The wind and rain did not damage my plants, and the fabric stayed put. Hope it will keep them from scorching in the hot sun.
Comments about All-Purpose Garden Fabric:
This is an OK procuct. The problem was that my hoops from Gardener's are quite old and rough. The fabric wore through where it met the hoops. The info that came with the fabric mentioned a quilt blanket but I did not see it in the catalog. Overall I am very pleased with most of the products from Gardener's Supply.
Comments about All-Purpose Garden Fabric:
I covered my beans and zucchini seedlings with this a few days after planting. When I removed the covers both were dead. Water did not get through the fabric and probably not enough sun either. I used a hose and noticed the water rolling right off the fabric. It was pretty cold the night before so that may have contributed to the result, too..
Comments about All-Purpose Garden Fabric:
love this fabric. It really protects my plants and citrus trees from the frost. I t is so easy to use.
Comments about All-Purpose Garden Fabric:
Bought this to protect my garden from frost and wind. Used the metal hoops. The hoops would not hold the fabric in the wind. Clothes pins would not hold them to poles. I did better using sheets and no poles.
Comments about All-Purpose Garden Fabric:
I wanted to start my spring veggies from seeds at the same time attempts to keep the neighbors cat out of my fresh soil. It kept the cat out for the first week, and that made me happy! The veggies grew under this cover and are doing very well. We had 4 nights in a row with frost, and this is what saved us!
Comments about All-Purpose Garden Fabric:
The row cover material can be used throughout the winter. I have lettuce that went through the winter under snow and cold rain. Now we are eating early lettuce.
We have a squirrel problem and the cover keeps them out as well as insects.
Comments about All-Purpose Garden Fabric:
Here in New England where we can have frost into May we have been able to have lettuce, spinach, carrots and beets growing outside under this fabric since the first week of April and there was still snow on the ground.
Comments about All-Purpose Garden Fabric:
What I like about this fabric is it's strength and size--the 12' wide size! It really covered my 4' wide bed with tall hoops very easily. It is strong, and keeps the light and warmth in and bugs out. It is enabling me to get an earlier start on some of the vegetables that I'd normally put out a bit later. It seems sturdy enough to last for a number of years and storing it is not too much of a problem, I just roll it up. Please consider making the summerweight blanket in a 12' width too--I would find many uses for that one as well.
Comments about All-Purpose Garden Fabric:
water seemed to pool on the top during the last heavy rain & it was a bit difficult to cover the hoops.
Comments about All-Purpose Garden Fabric:
This produced worked so well in my garden this past
winter and early spring, I ordered more.
Comments about All-Purpose Garden Fabric:
This is a really nice cover but we had some strong winds which ripped it apart.
Comments about All-Purpose Garden Fabric:
just put this up yesterday. Too short on sides for super hoops when placed length of bed. I question the ability of this cover to protect plants from the cold. I put plastic cover over the material until it warms a bit more. I will have to turn the material and make multiple cuts to give appropriate coverage on sides for super hoops.
Comments about All-Purpose Garden Fabric:
I used this last year to extend my season and protected from frost into Dec.

Sturdy reliable product. [...]
Comments about All-Purpose Garden Fabric:
Planted my garden on a warm spring day, and the next day had nine inches of snow (so much for 'some rain')! The fabric seems to be protecting just fine.
Comments about All-Purpose Garden Fabric:
These covers protect early planted lettuces, etc. Keeps them from those late snows and freezings. If using in suburban gardens be aware that neighbors cats may hide under them to surprise birds...I keep rocks on the edges to deter this behavior!
Comments about All-Purpose Garden Fabric:
Oregon set a record this March - 30 days out of 31 it rained - This durable row cover protected my plants, both on the ground and in raised beds. Temp inside was warmer, moisture got through but not the deluges - early peas, chard and spinach are doing well. And it even stood up to 60 mile an hour gusts.
Comments about All-Purpose Garden Fabric:
It was very unusual for us to get the low temperature we were getting. I was really glad that I had gotten the fabric to cover my dwarf citrus trees as well as my hollyhocks which had sprung up early. It is simple to use and to just fold back up, put back into the bag and put away until needed again. I plan to use it when my seedlings go out into the garden to give them a chance to adjust to the warmer temp we are now having. I'm really glad I found it and would purchase it again when needed.
Comments about All-Purpose Garden Fabric:
I used this to cover a fig tree that I have. I am just trying this for the first time and really hope it will work. I plan on using it again in the fall. The tree gets full of figs but they do not have enough time to ripen due to where I live. I am hoping this will extend the growing season for it. It was easy to use.
Comments about All-Purpose Garden Fabric:
Good cover in a good size for covering frost-sensitive plants, it works fine.
Comments about All-Purpose Garden Fabric:
We have used this product for many years and it is excellent at protecting young plants in the Spring, keeping bugs out and reducing insect damage all summer and extending some crops into the Fall.

Comments about All-Purpose Garden Fabric:
I put this fabric over my hooped, raised bed garden. It was the perfect size as my garden is 3' x 15' with high hoops. I wanted to protect my garden from the hot Florida sun. I affixed the fabric to the garden in June and went away for a few weeks. When I came back, the fabric was disintegrating - it wasn't even that hot out. I would have thought it could withstand rain and heat, but apparently not. I had to remove all of it shortly thereafter as it just kept disintegrating.

Lasts a long time. Just fold it and store it for the next cold season. Does not easily tear like some other garden fabrics.

Comments about All-Purpose Garden Fabric:
In the Texas Hill Country our nights can go to the 20s (sometimes lower) and the Garden Fabric is the perfect covering. I purchase the large piece and cut it in lengths suitable for large pot plants. It is easily weighed down with a rock or two on a windy night. Its protective qualities are amazing. It does not weigh the plants down. I have older pieces which are probably three years old. Use of garden fabric has saved many a plant! Also use it to cover patio beds with great success.

Comments about All-Purpose Garden Fabric:
I use this material to cover my potted vegetables, and raised beds. I use pots a lot for growing, and use huge rubber bands to hold the fabric over the frames I use in my pots. Excellent product. Works like a greenhouse.

Comments about All-Purpose Garden Fabric:
I bought around 9 of these so far to use this winter. I did an experiment and tried to grow a huge garden with pvc greenhouse over them covered with 2 layer thick of this material. Well just one layer is suppose to give you protection down to 28 degrees which is a lie. I had two layers plus 2 heaters in the greehouse and everything still died from freezing weather here In south Georgia. If it cannot protect crops here in south Georgia then you cannot expect this junk to protect anywhere especially in the north. It does not protect to 28 degrees because I have a digital degree meter in the greenhouse that showed just above 28 degrees as did the weather advisories and plants still died. Do not waste your time and money on this fabric if your wanting to protect anything under 32 degrees because it won't protect them and you will be very disappointed especially if you bought $200 or more of this garbage as i did.

Comments about All-Purpose Garden Fabric:
Last year's heavy freeze to 17 degrees four mornings in a row wiped out my row of pygmy date palms. A friend recommended Gardener's Supply and I bought all purpose cloth (meant to buy Garden Quilt but this worked fine). It arrived just in time for weather in the 20s this year and the palms are fine. I left it on for a couple of weeks and the plants were fine. I do prefer the Garden Quilt as it's a bit heavier and protects down to a few degrees lower but we rarely get such cold temps in Northern California.

I'm using the all purpose fabric as a row cover for my fall vegetables. It should also be helpful at first frost as it protects down to 28 degrees.
Comments about All-Purpose Garden Fabric:
We found this product extremely helpful during an late spring freeze this year. I used it to cover my tender tomato's which had just been planted. Worked terrific with he clothes pins as holders.

Comments about All-Purpose Garden Fabric:
I have used this product for nearly 10 years. It is great for protection from cold and wind during early part of season. The previous version of this product lasted me about 3 years. The new "more durable" version does not last a single season. Wind seems to just rip it up.

Comments about All-Purpose Garden Fabric:
In addition to all the qualities listed, it also acts as an effective mulch, keeping newly seeded areas from drying out and retaining moisture in our raised beds. The maurading squirrels and other pests either don't see the plants or are unable to get at them. We relied on it when we lived and gardened in Zone 3 and still do here in the scorching sun of Zone 6.
Comments about All-Purpose Garden Fabric:
We live in a very hot climate and planting very late. This cover has allowed our young plants to grow, without it they would definitely have fried in our Arizona heat.

Comments about All-Purpose Garden Fabric:
Garden quilt is very effective in preventing frost damage. It is a must for our high altitude garden. Because we live in New Mexico and have a lot of sunshine even when it's cold, it warms the earth and the earth stays warm through the cold nights. It's saved plants in temperatures as cold as 16 above.
Comments about All-Purpose Garden Fabric:
I have many very large hostas and ordered this garden fabric to protect them from late Spring frosts/freeze. The last frost was 1 day before they arrived and I have not had to use them. The frost doesn't kill hostas, but they look bad the rest of the season. If the fabric protects them well, I'll be ordering more but I won't know until Fall.

Comments about All-Purpose Garden Fabric:
I have used a similar product for years but had been unable to find it in my local retail outlets. To protect my vegetable garden and give it a good start, I use pvc pipe as supports and lay the fabric over the entire garden and secure it by laying small bricks on the edges. It has held up to some very strong winds. I learned about this method on the Victory Garden years ago.
Comments about All-Purpose Garden Fabric:
I live in the mountains of Colorado. We have very difficult growing habitat and hail that often destroys my plants. I have used other fabric for many years ... with success. This year I added your material and it is so much easier to use. I am going to order more so that I can cover all my garden before a storm.
Comments about All-Purpose Garden Fabric:
Use in garden to keep off the bugs and in the fall to protect the plants
Comments about All-Purpose Garden Fabric:
I used the all-purpose garden fabric this spring to cover up my tomatoes and peppers when the nights got below 45 degrees. They did a great job and kept the plants alive in not so the fabric off in the morning, they retain a lot of condensation on the under side, but it does keep the moisture in. It is very light weight, but easy to put an earth staple in to keep it anchored. Great product.

Just what I was looking for gardening in zone 5 to protect throughout the season.

Comments about All-Purpose Garden Fabric:
I planted a month earlier than I usually do, and used the fabric to cover my peppers, eggplant, and tomato plants for the next six weeks until the nighttime temperatures were consistently above 55. It says you can keep it on until the daytime temperatures reach 80 degrees. You water right through it, and it keeps the plants warm and gives them enough light. I used to cover with plastic at night, and remove it during the day which led to damaged plants because of all of the handling. This product saved me that hassle.
Comments about All-Purpose Garden Fabric:
This product was lightweight and is great for frost protection or to protect transplants from severe wind and rain. Was easy to cut to size.

Comments about All-Purpose Garden Fabric:
Denver's weather is a huge challenge, 80 one day and 29 the next with wind thrown in to make it interesting. I used the all purpose garden fabric for the first time this year and will use it from now on. I used it on my mixed lettuce patch, sprouting beets, and a long row of chard. I realized how good it is because I was a bit short of fabric for all of my areas and 3 chard plants were left uncovered. After our chilly spring, the covered plants are 3 times larger than the 3 that were uncovered. I used the fabric in conjunction with the hoops, which are also wonderful. Great product!
Comments about All-Purpose Garden Fabric:
This weight is very beneficial for starting plants early in the season. It protects young plants from cold, wind and hail. Mid-Season, it will protect greens from sunburn, heat and bolting. It is also good in Autumn to extend the growing season.
Comments about All-Purpose Garden Fabric:
It gives my garden a head start by holding in warmth, keeping out destructive insects without sprays and extends the season later in the year.
Comments about All-Purpose Garden Fabric:
The garden fabric is easy to apply. It is protecting early lettuce of all kinds and onions from harsh winds and freezing temps. Plants were grown from seed and are doing well, are nearly ready for harvest in our zone 3.
Comments about All-Purpose Garden Fabric:
Only lasts one season, unless reinforced with nylon netting.
Comments about All-Purpose Garden Fabric:
The fabric is exactly what we were looking for. The only problem we encountered was when the plants grew taller and we had to increase the height of the cold frame, the winds where we live grabbed the fabric and blew it around. I don't think there was any other installation that we could have used at that height and not encountered this particular problem. Otherwise it is perfect for our use.
Comments about All-Purpose Garden Fabric:
I use this cover for seedlings I have in my front
window, which gets sun during the day. I also have it outside to cover plants and some seedlings in the garden. We just had 8" of snow, so it came in
handy. It sheds water which I like because the seeds don't get washed away. I'm happy with it so far.
Comments about All-Purpose Garden Fabric:
I've used this on nights when frost was predicted and nothing was harmed. I purchased it to throw over the pop-up covers for my raised beds before the pop-up frost covers appeared in the catlog. It is easy to cut a piece large enough to pin to the ground over the pop-up, or to clip it to the pop-up. It is far less expensive than buying another pop-up for the same purpose.
Comments about All-Purpose Garden Fabric:
It does what it says! It keeps the cold out and the plants safe.
Comments about All-Purpose Garden Fabric:
I am pleased with the quality of the fabric and it has done well protecting my plants. I am sure that it will last for years.
Comments about All-Purpose Garden Fabric:
This material is exactly the fabric I needed, according to the gardening books I'm reading. It's really helped this beginner gardener with controlling pests since I'm working to be chemical free. It was also very helpful when I planted too early and had to protect my baby sprouts from a late frost.
Comments about All-Purpose Garden Fabric:
Planning ahead for the weather. Need for areas where I used something else this past winter.Have used this type produce sucessfully for some areas of plant protection this past cold winter. Will use in more areas next year instead of using sheets over plants.
Comments about All-Purpose Garden Fabric:
Larger sized coverage for areas that had sheets over the plants this past year. This product will be easier to use.
Comments about All-Purpose Garden Fabric:
Every gardener wants to get a head start on the season. This light weight row cover can be used and reused a couple of seasons to beat those light last season frosts. It saved my frist spring crop of the year.
Comments about All-Purpose Garden Fabric:
Had two heavy freezes this year in South Florida pretty rare. Covered vegetable garden with plastic and was awful. Wind kept slamming it against plants and doing more damage than good. Now with this garden cover is just so perfect. Lightweight, oh so easy to install. Easy to remove and store. This is a must have for your garden.
Comments about All-Purpose Garden Fabric:
A good row cover gives me a few extra weeks in the garden, and can extend my fall harvest time, too.

Comments about All-Purpose Garden Fabric:
This all purpose garden fabric saved all of my vegetable plants from damage or freezing. Lightweight, easy to handle and doesn't damage plants. Allows sun to penetrate cloth; my tomatoes actually grew while covered. My key lime and the fruit were insulated so well that no damage occurred. All of these plants and citrus were on the north side;this garden fabric is phenomenal...I highly recommend the product!

Comments about All-Purpose Garden Fabric:
We bought the fabric to protect a bed of Joseph's Coat (Alternanthera ficoicea) in our Central Florida landscape. The plant is hardy down only to 34 F and we were facing a severe cold snap. Placed it on a PVC frame over the bed. We had about 10 days of night-time temperatures down to the mid-20s for more than three hours. There was a lot of damage to the foliage, but the plants seem to have survived. Won't know for sure for another six weeks.
Comments about All-Purpose Garden Fabric:
I use the row cover in my low tunnel to further protect my winter crops from the cold. It has worked just as I wanted it to and my lettuce, spinach and beets will be an even earlier crop than I had hoped.

Comments about All-Purpose Garden Fabric:
I live in northern California where winter temperatures can drop into the high twenties. At times like this, I need something to cover my plants to protect them from freezing. This is the best product ever! First of all, it's very light weight so it doesn't crush the plant. It provides excellent protection yet the plant can still get light and rain through it. Lastly, it stores like a dream! Just folds up and can be put in a zippered bag that comforters come it so it's ready for the next cold spell!
Comments about All-Purpose Garden Fabric:
Keeps pests at bay.
Comments about All-Purpose Garden Fabric:
i used the all purpose garden fabric to cover my hanging baskets of christmas cactus and ground orchids. i lost a lot of these plants two years ago when we had an unexpected unusually cold spell and certainly do not want to repeat the experience ( and the cost of the loss! ). so far, they are looking good - thanks to the cover i have placed to protect them.

Comments about All-Purpose Garden Fabric:
It's Nov 30th in the Hudson Valley, Zone 5. This floating row cover insulates well and allows us to pick fresh lettuce and herbs in peak condition. The plants are still putting on new growth at this late date. Excellent season extender.
Comments about All-Purpose Garden Fabric:
I use this to cover my fall garden and during the winter I use it
to cover other plants in the yard, to protect them from frost.
It's lightweight, and stores easily when not in use.
Comments about All-Purpose Garden Fabric:
I have just started using the cover and don't have any hoops to wrap it around. I just place large stones at the corners of my above ground boxes and that seems to work. I then just lift off the stones to view my plants. The fabric is light and does not damage the taller plants.

Comments about All-Purpose Garden Fabric:
I live in Colorado and the All Purpose Fabric has saved me a lot of time and effort by protecting my vegetables in containers from the crazy wind we get this time of year (Fall).
Comments about All-Purpose Garden Fabric:
I shade my lettuces by covering a cucumber trellis set over the lettuces with the fabric. (I don't have cukes, I just use the trellis for support.) On hot, sunny days I put up the fabric and secure w/clothes pins. On cool, cloudy days, I fold the fabric down. Easy. Since it's not that cold yet, I only have one side of the trellis covered, which allows air circulation.
Cons: my peas "stick" to the fabric - but I just have to be careful when pulling off the fabric.
Comments about All-Purpose Garden Fabric:
I'm currently using this as shade for lettuce and seedlings this summer. It's working well. [...] Thanks!

Comments about All-Purpose Garden Fabric:
i use it to cover blueberry bushes, small apple trees and strawberries to keep birds and deer away
Comments about All-Purpose Garden Fabric:
In the CO mountains this fabric has helped boost my vegetable plants providing more even temperatures and protection from heavy winds. It has also cut down on weeding as the fabric prevents windblown seeds from entering the garden bed. If used correctly, I think this will last much longer than other garden cloth I have tried.
Comments about All-Purpose Garden Fabric:
This saved my garden this year. With all the rain we had and little sun, the warth provided by this was great. My plants are thriving while others have had to replant due to rot etc. My hubby was skeptical until I took it off to show him the growth!
Comments about All-Purpose Garden Fabric:
Great product. Would recommend this to anyone who gardens. I'm now going to purchase the summer light weight one that you sell. Thanks for all the great products you sell.
Comments about All-Purpose Garden Fabric:
Works excellent as a deterent to crow damage when seeds first come up.
Comments about All-Purpose Garden Fabric:
Chipmunks were digging amongst my carrot seedlings. I used yard staples to tack All-Purpose Garden Fabric over the seedlings. Not only did it keep the chipmunks out, but the covered seedlings grew faster and looked healthier than uncovered cohorts! I finally removed the fabric when the seedlings were sturdier and able to fight the chipmunks on their own.
Comments about All-Purpose Garden Fabric:
I seeded and covered a 3X3 plant box in February. Through snow, heavy storms, and a cool spring the plants were protected. The cover let in rain. The plant staples held it in place. And the bed was protected from rabbits. But when the weather warmed, the cover needed more and more frequent removal and then replacement with a summerweight cover. So, the all-purpose cover is useful for only a few months.
Comments about All-Purpose Garden Fabric:
Using this material to cover your garden will allow you not only a few extra weeks in the spring but protect your plants and seedlings from those unexpected frosts. In my case it protects newly set out tomatoes, strawberries in blossom and helps warm and protect my vine crops(squash and cukes)from frost and pests from germination until they begin to vine out.
Comments about All-Purpose Garden Fabric:
With the cool nights here in the East this year, the fabric cover came in extremely handy to protect my little seedlings. They are now going strong.
Comments about All-Purpose Garden Fabric:
This is something every gardener should keep on hand. We are using it as a canopy for our lettuce in the hot summer months and our lettuce is thriving. It still allows the air to flow and the water to filter as well as providing protection from the scorching summer sun. Now we can have lettuce all year round!! We will use the fabric in the fall/winter to protect from frost.
Comments about All-Purpose Garden Fabric:
This garden fabric is perfect for protecting your annuals from the occasional frosty mornings we sometimes get, and use it as a blanket, if you like to over winter some plants in your garage, it helps.

I used the garden fabric over hoops to jumpstart my cool-weather crops this season. Today I used it to wrap around my tomato cages to [hopefully] protect my newly-planted tomatoes from marauding deer, groundhogs and rabbits until I can erect netting. The fabric allows rain and sun to enter, yet protects from late frosts. Easy to use.

Comments about All-Purpose Garden Fabric:
Easy to spread over plants to protect. Compact and easy to store. Saved rhubarb and hostas from late season snow. Stayed in place with minimal 'pinning' to ground even w/ blowing winds.
Comments about All-Purpose Garden Fabric:
I'm growing cucumbers for a "Seniors Day" demonstration on container gardens. The garden fabric will allow me to put the planted container on the patio and not have to worry about cold weather damaging the newly sprouted cukes!

Comments about All-Purpose Garden Fabric:
I liked the feel of the fabric; I've had some row covers in the past that were too stiff or too flimsy. This was soft while still seeming durable.
I have 4x4' raised beds, and cut this piece up so that I could use it on the specific beds I wanted to cover. I didn't use hoops this year, and was apprehensive about the cover lying directly on the seedlings (cabbage and cauliflower), but it does not appear to weigh heavily on them. As the plants have grown, they seem to lift the cloth effortlessly.
The covers are supposed to provide frost protection down to 28 degrees, but we had a couple nights that were colder than that, and the plants under the cover survived without any problem.

Comments about All-Purpose Garden Fabric:
I plant all my cold weather and tomato plants about a month earlier when using row covers. I have raised beds - warm the earth for two weeks with black plastic - remove plastic - plant - cover with row cover on black plastic tube hoops (buy a roll of black plastic tubing at your local home building supplier and cut around 5 or 6' long, push ends into ground or over 2' long rod hammered into ground), hold cover on with pvc clips (can only find on-line). Leave on broccoli, cauliflower, cabbage all season - no green worms. Remove from tomatoes, peppers, eggplant when blossoms appear. Live in high wind area so am lining with nylon net from fabric store this year - to extend cover life. (Typically for me covers only last one year because of high wind.) Should let sun and rain through okay. Hope this experiment works! Love using the covers.

Comments about All-Purpose Garden Fabric:
Great product for the few times we get freezing temps here in Winter Springs (North Orlando area). So far this year we have had 8 instances of 40 and below temps. After 3 days in a row of freezing temps only my plants look nice and green while my neighbors are all brown and dead. Easy to use and easy to store. I am still using garden fabric I bought from you years ago.

Comments about All-Purpose Garden Fabric:
I tried this product for the first time this year with the intention of extending my garden harvest into the cooler season. First of all it held up during a recent, fairly heavy windstorm. It just took a few tools to stabilize it over my plants. I used a couple of metal rods and some bricks. The results are amazing. In fact, just last night I picked some beet greens for dinner. Mind you this is the middle of December in Pennsylvania !!!!I still have lettuce, greens and cilantro that are growing beautifully under the cover. I intend to continue the experiment and also to use the cover in very early spring. Its a fabulous product and I highly recommend it.

Comments about All-Purpose Garden Fabric:
I use these to cover plants in my yard and on my back porch (I have 7 large ones which cover large areas of many plants at a time). They are superb and have saved my plants for years. One year I covered a large Strobilanthes plant and when I took the cover off after several weeks, the plant had beautiful flowers on it! Same thing happened with my Mahonia plant! Guess the warmth of the cover generated the blooms!

Comments about All-Purpose Garden Fabric:
I am using the fabric to prevent insect infestation and extend the growing season into colder weather. I would have prefered to have ordered the row covers with the braces the hold it in place as I am having a challenge figuring out what best holds it in place without damaging the plants.

Comments about All-Purpose Garden Fabric:
Me country garden and city garden have a common feature -- they are hilltop and exposed to extremes. I have used this for 15 years to moderate those extremes. I put it over early plantings of seeds and seedlings. It stays until the plants are strong. it will also moderate extreme hot sun if you are trying to prolong lettuces and spring plantings. Come August, it goes on the fall plantings and will stay. We just turn back, harvest and recover.
Why doesn't everyone use it?
Comments about All-Purpose Garden Fabric:
This is extremely easy and convenient to throw over my tropical plants in the winter. I clip in on and tuck it in with cloths pins. Stores easily and can be trimmed as necessary.

Comments about All-Purpose Garden Fabric:
We used the all purpose garden fabric at the near end of the season as we were going on a trip for over a week. There was a danger of frost as well as the possiblity of upper 80's to low 90 day time temps. Although someone watered for us once in the middle of our trip and we weren't sure what to expect when we returned but our garden looked beautiful and produce had ripened just ready to pick when we got home!!! What a pleasant surprise!
Comments about All-Purpose Garden Fabric:

Comments about All-Purpose Garden Fabric:
I've used this fabric to protect my garden in several ways - so far it has kept the veggie starts from freezing during a late frost, prevented heavy rainfall from washing away all my soil, and shaded plants from the summer heat. The fabric performs well, covers a huge area, and is generally a good product.
Comments about All-Purpose Garden Fabric:
I use this when first planting the garden to protect against critter damage as well as to protect veggies and flowers from frost. Very handy, glad I bought more!

Comments about All-Purpose Garden Fabric:
This product protected my annuals through cold nights and let them stay alive for warm days, long after they ought to have been zapped!
This summer, though, I'm enjoying using it in my greenhouse as a shade cloth - lets the light in, without the harsh hot sun baking my tender sprouts. This will be a permanent member of my gardening supplies!

Comments about All-Purpose Garden Fabric:
The lightweight fabric has literally been a lifesaver for my plants that are a gourmet attraction for Japanese beetles (the bag traps did't sufficiently control them, and every day a new generation appeared to replace the ones eliminated by spraying)! The beetles don't even come around any more to the areas where I've wrapped.
Suggestion (not necessarily part of the review): It would be helpful to have some kind of appropriate tape to attach cut pieces of fabric to each other--I had to resort to duct tape. Also, the lightweight is folded up into a package, so it's like trying to manage a bedsheet when you undo it. It would be much handier in a roll.

Comments about All-Purpose Garden Fabric:
I use this garden fabric during the summer over beans just sown or over squash. Once plants are mature enough, they don't require so much protection from bug damage.
The fabric holds up better with support and it does tend to snag a bit on the corners of raised beds. Other than that, it really is the best.
Comments about All-Purpose Garden Fabric:

Comments about All-Purpose Garden Fabric:
I am a novice gardener. I rented my first community plot and decided to plant a few seeds in addition to potted plants. I used the fabric to create floating row covers to protect the delicate seedlings from bugs, heavy rain, chilly nights, and wind. It was a little tricky to unravel; I'm not sure how it was rolled up, but it was difficult to get it unraveled so I could cut it to the size needed for my seedlings. However, it worked perfectly! My seedlings grew very strong beneath the fabric and I was eventually able to remove it once the plants were strong enough on their own. I highly recommend it!
