Never before has there been a complete outdoor growing system like this. The Grow Camp starts with a 4' x 4' base made of rot-proof, no-maintenance polypropylene. The base holds 19 inches of soil, so you can grow deep-rooted crops like carrots that most other raised beds can’t. A two-part cover, consisting of crystal clear “greenhouse” polypropylene and fine-mesh nylon netting, allows you to start plants earlier in the spring, protects them from pests in the summer, and extends your harvest into fall. The cover is supported by an incredibly strong, cross-braced frame that doubles as a support for the plants inside.

The Grow Camp is a marvel of Danish engineering; its unique clamp system requires only a Phillips screwdriver and pliers to assemble, yet it’s strong enough to withstand strong winds, deer, even errant soccer balls. If you’ve had enough of jury-rigged beds and temporary row covers, the Grow Camp is a great solution that can take your plants from seed to harvest.

Comments about Grow Camp:

I put my 2 section GrowCamp together in about 2-3 hours. By FAR the hardest part was getting the ground level--I live in a hilly area. The second hardest part was getting it filled with soil. It takes a LOT of dirt!! Putting the actual structure together was easy. I'm a single woman and did it alone. I will say: follow their picture directions precisely. I assumed I needed to use some fasteners in a couple places that the instructions did not show fasteners. Well, hey, there were holes lined up, and it seemed logical to put some in there! Well, as I continued to put it all together, those fasteners were not only not necessary, but in the way. Thankfully, they had also included some extra fasteners, so all was good. Anyway, follow their pictured directions precisely and you will have no problem. Really well designed. I look forward to planting in it next weekend.

Comments about Grow Camp:

This is a great product. Works well for those needing a greenhouse or protection from deer, rabbits, etc. Be ready for lots of assembly however! Instructions are pretty easy but it would be best to take your time laying out all pieces and dedicate at least 2 hours for full assembly.

Comments about Grow Camp:

Great deign - it was easy to put together and I would recommend using a rubber mallet to tap some of the fittings together. Once together, it was easy enough for to people to move into position.

The day after we put it together and had it in place we got 18 inches of snow. It just slid off the plastic.

Comments about Grow Camp:

I am not satisfied with the structural integrity. I am not sure it will survive a season in our windy, harsh high elevation climate. For the money, may have been better to build one from scratch.

Comments about Grow Camp:

Can't wait to put this to good use. I am certain we will extend our growing season nicely either end of the summer season. I am impressed with the construction once we assembled it. Directions could have been a little more clear with written steps to follow. Undoing mis-assembled pieces proved difficult.

Comments about Grow Camp:

Now that it's done, we love the look of it and it
was very well designed. However, it took two
college graduates over 6 hours to assemble. The
owner's manual had great photos but no written
instructions to speak of. There were also several
broken parts. Fortunately, we were still able to
work around those. It looks very attractive in
our yard. Hoping it holds up.

Comments about Grow Camp:

Love this here in Az., could use a green plastic cover because the sun is so strong and it burns tender plants. I now have fresh carrots (yahoo), and have other fresh veg. that are not that plentiful in my town. My only problem with it was it's very flimsy and the plastic plugs don't fit the holes so have to use a drill to make holes a little bigger. Will order another one next year, hopefully the price will be cheaper then (a bit pricey).

Comments about Grow Camp:

My husband and I spent a few hours putting this together yesterday and while it was a little more difficult than expected it wasnt that hard just pay attention to the directions and read through them first to avoid minor mistakes that can add time to assembly. It really is a great product, well made and very sturdy construction. I cant wait to fill it with soil and start growing. I will be using this for all of my salad vegetables to avoid slugs etc. And I will be using the top portion as a green house to start vegetables early. We both are really empressed with the construction and pleased with the purchase.
