This would be perfect except for the fact that one of the casters snapped almost immediately.

I purchased this to hold the Tomato Success Kit. I roll if off the patio onto a gravel driveway for it to get sun and back in if the spring weather gets stormy. I can also roll it to a better location for sun during the day. It is very sturdy and makes the transition from gravel to pavement and back again very well. The tray underneath holds my sprays and new plants awaiting transplant.

I wanted these for the wheels, to get tubs off the deck. The inserts have to be pounded in and then the wheels pounded into them, but the wheels don't fit the inserts, even with pounding. 4 of the wheels (I bought 2 trolley kits) already broke off the inserts and one of the wheels on the 2nd trolley is about to break. One of the nuts won't tighten, but there were no spare nuts with the hardware. [...]

The first problem was the kit included NO instructions at all. I tore through every piece of packing anything that arrived and noting with any type of information ever turned up. Luckily I still had the catalog picture and used that. After three attempts, I did get it right. Outside it went, the soaked medium went in, two tomato plants went in. and the cage went up. Then it was time to turn it 90 degrees to it's permanent place. Two wheels promptly broke off. Everything had to be dismantled so the cart could be turned on end. The plastic had snapped, so there was no re-inserting the wheels. There's nothing to hold those wheels in place, so the item cannot be moved. The whole thing sits at a 45 degree slant, so the watering system works improperly. Total Fail.

I love this product. Very helpful to my back and the Tomato Success Kit is wonderful too. It only holds two tomato plants, but I have no problems with wilt, bugs, blossom end rot, etc. I use good quality soil, add lime, and an organic soil ammendment or compost. Great Brandywines and Beefsteak tomatoes this year! Might get another!

We bought this product along with the tomato success kit for my 80+ father who loves to garden tomatoes but can't walk safely in the garden anymore. He loves it! He was able to get his hands dirty for the first time in years but still while safely seated. He can move the trolley to follow the sun on the patio and it's sturdy enough to give him some support while he walks. He's looking forward to growing other vegetables in it INDOORS this winter.

I LOVE this whole concept! I planted 2 cherry tomato plants and 1 pear tomato in it about a month ago. When I plated then the plants were about a foot tall. Now they are all HUGE! They are now a well over a foot OVER the top of the cage! The plants are beautiful and full of blosoms and I have already eaten 5 tomatoes and have 2 more turning red right now. My husband thought I was nuts when I planted those little plants in such a big pot. And he is just amazed how they are growing so quickly. So far the whole time they have been in my house. They're also infront of a huge window so they do get to enjoy the sun. Being in Wyoming we still have very cold weather. People tell me I should just leave them inside because they are doing so well. Maybe the end of June they will go outside.

I bought this trolley to raise my tomato pot out of my new puppy's reach. It does exactly what it needs to do and putting the tomato pot in was very simple. I've only had it a couple months, but so far the metal frame seems very sturdy. The wheels are made of plastic so we'll have to see whether they stand up over time.

I'm on the North Carolina coast and have a problem with wind. Fairly often 10-15 miles per
hour and sometimes more. With the trolley on my deck the plants were taking a beating from the first day. Finally took some ducktape and
created a band around the cage. As you can see the plants are doing fine after two weeks. Will transplant two them. Can add more tape if needed and should be no problem to remove the tape later.

I bought the tomato trolley to add additional growing space in my backyard - which has a pool and not much growing space. I have 3 now and have planted peppers as well as tomatoes - you could plant any vegetable. I use the rack below to hold smaller pots in which I planted various herbs. The container above serves to help shade more sun sensitive plants and it's working out great! Plus as the sun changes year round it's quite easy to just roll the trolley to a better spot!

I just received the Organic Tomato Success Kit and the Trolley two weeks ago. [...] Planted two Early Girls and already have 8 tomato's that look perfect. We had a really good size and successful garden here in Tucson at our last house but now live on an acre in the desert so we have had to avoid the traditional garden in the ground because we have so much wildlife here. We thought we would start with one of these planters with tomato's and use the trolley to move it around. So far very pleased I move it from the porch to the yard and so far no problems, I do move it very carefully in the yard area because I don't believe it was meant for moving around on rough land it is more for the porch and it works fine on the porch area. I think this product is perfect for the Success Kit. It lets me use the Kit on our balcony and I can move it around easily should we need more space (even though its not that large overall). The only Con to this product is that the wheels are very difficult to put on; the webpage should tell you that you need a "rubber mallet" as per the instructions. I don't own one, so getting the casters on has been a pain since they are a VERY tight fit. Besides those, the whole thing took 20 min to put together by myself.

The success kit is great, but three casters on the trolley broke within a week of setting trolley on deck (after I had gotten rid of the box and materials). It has become a pretty much immovable object.

Planted tomatoes and cucumbers and placed the trolleys on the deck where the deer and critters cannot reach our edibles. It's May, but we have freezing temps at night. We simply wheel them out in the daytime and back inside the house at night. We have a short growing season at 7,000 feet, the trolleys allow us to get a head start.

While assembling the casters onto the cart, one of the pastic adaptors broke. They did not offer a replacement part for the adaptor. I rigged a replacement by inserting a large washer into the bottom of a rubber chair guard, cutting a hole in the bottom of the chair guard for the caster and then putting the the whole shabang on to the leg. I can't roll the cart without lifting up on the disabled leg. I'm disappointed, this is a really good idea. It's a very convenient height, but mine is stuck in one place now, which defeats part of the purpose.

This is my second trolley...got one last year. Allows me to tend to my plants without killing my back and allows me to wheel it into the sun or out of the wind. Locks on casters make it safe.

I gave this 3 stars instead of five for the following reasons: while assembling, one of the adapters for the casters broke because it did not fit properly into the bottom of the leg. Also, I have the original version of the self-watering planter, and the cover for the watering opening, which is on the side, had to be removed before the planter would fit down into the trolley. All that being said, this is a great idea and I look forward to not having to bend down to tend to my tomato plants.

We gave this as a gift to my father, who likes to grow tomato plants in the success kit. This cart lifts the planter up so it's at a nice height. The shelf underneath is also handy. He keeps it on his patio and can roll it out into the sun or in when it's cold. He can grow tomatoes a lot later in the season because his plants can be easily protected if a cold front rolls in. The only disappointment I had was the the metal is not wrapped sufficiently enough within the box. Some of the paint had scraped off from the pieces rubbing together during transit. Hopefully, it will not rust in those spots.

I use the carts to lift my garden containers off the ground. My dog likes to pee next to bushes. I didn't like the idea that he could be peeing on my peppers or eggplants. These carts eliminate that concern and also allow me to easily place my containers in areas that are best suited for the plants. I can also move them easily when I'm cutting the grass.
