This is a very nice, good quality product. It is convenient, as everything that you need for another season with your Tomato Success Kit comes in one package. I do find it a bit pricey, though. The tomato success kits are terrific! They are a wonderful help to folks who may be intimidated by the complexities of growing tomatoes (and other veggies as well). The yield from these boxes is huge. The only disappointment we had was that we tried to buy the replenishment packs at your store in Williston, and you didn't have them in stock. The red mulch does work, the fertilizer is mixed in at planting and again to side dress the plants- very easy. And the tomatoes, oh the tomatoes! I find the container soil from Gardeners.com works so well in the self watering containers, it is easier for me to just order it when I need it, rather than trying to find something similar anywhere else. The great thing about this kit is the addition of the "tomato extras" for the cost of the 2 bags of soil. I am new to the organic mixture, but have had great success with the regular soil and tomato extras in the past. I am 3 weeks into my container garden - and everything is looking fabulous.

I ordered your new kit this spring because, in previous years, I found the growing medium superior for growing beautiful and numerous tomatoes. In preparation for my plants, I filled my container, and to my amazement, overnight a critter had dug almost all the soil out. Could it be the new seaweed/fish mixture? Would this attract raccoons to do their mischief? Otherwise, I hope when I plant my tomatoes next week, I'll have the same wonderful results I've had in the past, and that Mr. Raccoon was a traveling man.

I purchased the tomato growing kit last year upon recommendation of one of my sons who has it also and was very pleased with it. He had received as a gift. I had tried the hanging tomato planter with no luck but with this one my plants gets lots of sun which they could not do with the hanging on on my patio. I had a good crop of tomatoes last year and so ordered the replenishment kit to grow them again this year. I just purchased my plants yesterday. In Missouri it is recommended to wait until May 5 and after to plant them. Hoping to reap another good crop this year.

Georgia soil is not the best for growing tomatoes. Not only that, but we are plagued by humidity, bugs, fungus, and all the other problems attendant with tomato gardening.

Last year, I grew vegetables for the first time using the 'Tomato Success kits'. I grew tomatoes (three different kinds), brussel sprouts, carrots and cucmbers in the Tomato Success kits. I had unbelievable results! My neighbor has been growing tomatoes for years, and he was making fun of me early in the season - not so much by late fall, however, when my tomatoes and brussel sprouts were still going strong, and his were in the compost pile. This is a nice money saving way to start a new season of tomato growing. In fact, it would work for a starter for the basic self-watering container. I like that everything is organic. The red mulch sheet didn't work that well for us so just skipped adding that with this planting and underplanted with basil instead. The tomatoes just love it and I can almost see them growing.

This will be my 4th season using the Tomato Success Kit and every season I replace the Self-Watering Container Mix. I just mix in some of the tomato fertilizer, fill up the two pots I have on the deck and put in the plants. Then fill'em up with water and watch it grow. I recycle the old Self-Watering Container Mix by spreading it on some flower beds and mixing it in. Makes planting prep a breeze.

This is the 3rd year I have used my tomato success kit. I start my plants very early in the kit and keep them in the garage,wheeling it into the sun on warm sunny days. This gives me a great headstart. Once the weather warms I keep the kit on our flagstones. Usually plant 1 cherry or grape and one large tomato variety. Seems like the cherry tomatoes have a hard time getting into the house. We have had 2 of our friends purchase the kits once they saw ours. These kits are great for those of us who only want to plant two tomato plants not a full garden of them. The kit is very easy to maintain and the amount of tomatoes is fantastic especially in light of the minimum work involved. We have enough to share and freeze.
