For cherry tomato plant it was great last year.
Like the new improved water resevoir w/built in capillary strips - big improvement!
Ought to be able to buy seperate pieces - I had 2 bags left from last yr. in perfect condition, but inorder to get new water resevoir had to buy the whole kit. Hope I won't have to do that next year again.

The small water contained that is used on top was too flexible and tipped all the water out through the entire package. Had to be refilled with soil and had to use last years metal container. suggest a better way to anchor the new water contained or go be to the metal!

I used your kit and planters last year.No problems.This year when I put the water in the new resevoir it goes straight through the dirt and settles at the bottom.My tomato plants turned yellow while the dirt was hard as a rock halfway down.I took the planters down and replaced the plants.I emptied the dirt out and broke up the clumps and put it back in.Put water the new reservoir and same thing happened. I don't know what is wrong,Can you help?

This was the second time I ordered this product. I love it, especially the soil. It's actually soft to the touch. Directions are easy, but then I've done this before. Everything went together well and my tomatoes are thriving even this early in the season with unusually chilly temps.

I purchased the iron tree that allows four cages to hang. When I first ordered these two years ago, my primary difficulty stemmed from no zipper on the linings. It was a mess to place tomatoes inside even when they were relatively small. Trying to place the plants through the hole at the bottom of the liner, then through the cage, required two people. It was difficult to hold the plant steady and fill the liner with the approrpriate amount of dirt. These liners last about two years; hopefully, though, I hope this new order will have zippers, and last more than two years.

I cannot get the "bags" to last a full season without tearing! Having to replace the bag annually makes for some expensive tomoatoes. I have had two of these over the last two seasons; if I want to try again, I'll have to purchase a third bag! Plus, last year, the cage was re-enginered and the new bag did not fit the old cage!! This is inexcusable. I noticed that, now, the resevoir is "soft" and have to wonder if it will still fit in the old style cage. Unless these can be designed to last more than one season, and the parts become interchangeable, it is not a good buy. Gardener's Supply really needs to address this situation or include tips on how to get more thasn one season out of the investment.

I use this for tomatoes. Last year I had the original upside down planter, and I had trouble with the capillary strips clogging up. Luckily I had some capillary mat material and could cut some new ones, so ai couold use it the whole season. I hope the new liner with the built in capillary strips will work better. Anticipating those delicious tomatoes!
