You can cut this netting anywhere and it won't unravel.
Comments about Nearly Invisible Netting:
Perfect for my pole green beans. My beans have had no problem latching onto the netting. I like the fact that I have enough left over for next year. Would recommend this product.
Comments about Nearly Invisible Netting:
This is really tough stuff ince it's holding up in our very high winds. Attached it to the green trellis poles from Gardener's Supply and was surprised the entire thing withstood the wild winds here. Word of advice when attaching to anything: count the openings so you get it even. I cut three times before I got it right, all my error. Attached it with tomatoe wire. Have no veggies crawling on it yet, too early in the season, but I have no doubt it will hold up.
Comments about Nearly Invisible Netting:
This is the first time I have used this product. It is being used on an A frame growing squash. I won't have a real opinion about how it works until my squash grow on it. I am thinking it will hold the squash but will see in the fall.

Just an excellent product

When I saw this trellis netting in the Gardeners catalog, I said to myself this is going to solve our string bean growing problems. With Gardeners you can't go wrong....Thanks again....
Comments about Nearly Invisible Netting:
This product was difficult to put up and get stretched out between my posts. The wind was pushing it more to one side so it wasn't right in the center between the rows of peas. I got frustrated and took it down, now it is in a ball in our garage. Not user friendly to fold back up. I am dissapointed and can't use it for my garden.
Comments about Nearly Invisible Netting:
For the last couple of years, I have made my own homemade supports for my peas. This year I wanted to do something different. When I pulled the netting out of the box, it was not what I expected. It was white plastic netting that was very visible. But now I love it in the garden. I cut the very tall bamboo out of my back yard and weaved it through the netting tying it with twine. Then I bought rebar to support the high bamboo for extra support. The peas are a foot up the netting so far and it looks great. Thanks for another great product gardeners.com!!
Comments about Nearly Invisible Netting:
This is a run of the mill vegetable support net, not at all translucent. It actually sticks out in the garden because it is bright white.
Comments about Nearly Invisible Netting:
I used it to support my corn that is planted in a raised garden. It has! Not blown over during a recent storm.
Comments about Nearly Invisible Netting:
The holes make it easy to harvest veggies that grow up into it.

I just received this netting and look forward to using it to enhance my trellises, making them more effective for my clematis, sweet peas, and morning glories.

I'm using the netting for both cucumbers and cantaloupe. I'm not sure the netting will hold the cantaloupe but hopeful it will. I may have to support some way.

Comments about Nearly Invisible Netting:
Five years ago, a Blue Heron found my pond & ate a few of my favorite fish. My husband had purchased a green version of this product, made by a different manufacturer, at a local hardware store & had been using it in his vegetable garden. I grabbed some of his extra netting & threw it over the pond as an emergency measure to discourage the heron from my fish buffet. It worked like a charm! The frogs could still get in & out when they wanted to. Visually it didn't detract from the pond itself. The plants grow through it & the heron is deterred. After 5 years, through all seasons, my netting is beginning to break up. I looked everywhere for this product. I was so happy to find it, only to be disappointed, when it arrived, that it wasn't green. Your site describes the product as "translucent". I don't think of white as translucent. Unfortunately, I don't think the white netting will be esthetically as pleasing as the green that I am used to "overlooking".
Comments about Nearly Invisible Netting:
Used as support for beans and peas. Would have been easier to use if I been able to find better support stakes to hold it up.
Comments about Nearly Invisible Netting:
We just started using it and once our produce started growing up it the "soccer net" feeling left. It is perfect for Cucumbers, Tomatoes and Melon...so far.
Comments about Nearly Invisible Netting:
I needed a good home for a passion vine. Vine comes out of a container as i want to limit its growth. Container backs up to trellis and seems to enjoy the climb.
Comments about Nearly Invisible Netting:
This is a great product that I looked all over to find. Most other products were too short or the wrong size mesh for good vegetable supports.
The web picture shows this as clear -- but mine is white -- which was marked on the bag.
Actually this will be better because I don't think that I'll have the birds flying into it. Also, my supports are white sched 40 pvc so they match.
This is a good product at a good price and looks like I'll get several years out of it.
I would buy it again without any problems.

Comments about Nearly Invisible Netting:
Wrapped around three 8' x8' frames made of cheap furring strips and supported by tha back of a shed, the netting made a giant trellis-work for pole beans. Vines love to climb this netting and even though the six inch openings are great for harvesting beans but not designed as bird netting, the crows by me are wary of it and don't go near it! (An added benefit.) One thing though: I remember from having this netting a few years back is that once it is unfolded it can't really be refolded. This means for storage you wind up stuffing it back in the bag tangled. After a few years of storage it becomes harder than Christmas lights to untangle, so you have to buy new- which can get expensive. However- it's still the best product for pole beans.
Comments about Nearly Invisible Netting:
Product is great. I use it for many flowering vines such as clematis, honeysuckle, trumpet, wisteria. I put some up 3 years ago and it is still there and working. It stays on over snowy winters and spring shoots have a trellis ready to go. I use the width of 61/2 for the height of my fence and cut it that way. I can get many from the 30' roll then. Even better than nylon which discolors, gets dirty and can be seen. This is totally invisible against my solid white fence. I tried nylon but you can see that. The polypropylene is much better. Great product[...] The only improvement would be to have the boxes at 4" rather than 6" for flowering vines.

Comments about Nearly Invisible Netting:
Last summer my neighbor grew pole beans. He gave my wife and I some and we were hooked. I decided to make my own rack for the beans to climb on. My neighbor has built one out of wood and as it is effective it looks like an eyesore. I found this product and read the reviews. I purchased it and it works beautifully. I read a few comments that stated that there aren't any directions as a "Con" and or "Difficult to use". The package that I received has instructions/recommendations but this was a cinch. I'm a visual person and I still got it on the first try with a little help from my 14 year old daughter. Even though this product feels like it will break on you, it is very strong and in order for it to be effective you have to pull it very tight. Great product, great price.
Comments about Nearly Invisible Netting:
Netting appears to be durable but is rather hard to handle with only one person. Looks like one could get a few years out of this so that makes this a great bargain. This first season will tell.
Comments about Nearly Invisible Netting:
Easy to reach thru to the other side.
Comments about Nearly Invisible Netting:
It is June 11th. I hung the netting and planted my string beans @3 weeks ago. The netting was easy to hang and my beans have almost reach the bottom of the netting. The spacing of the netting looks like it will make it easy to reach throw and pick my beans from both sides. Time will tell how well it works and holds up.
Comments about Nearly Invisible Netting:
Works great in the garden. Also use it to train my clematis. Best of all it will take up minimal space when the garden is done.
Comments about Nearly Invisible Netting:
Product is great, but it would be less visible if it were in green or black I am using it for a trellis that I want to be inconspicuous so I spray painted it black.
Otherwise it is a great product!
Comments about Nearly Invisible Netting:
Nearly Invisible Netting with the 6" squares works great. Installed horizontally at 18" to 24", it keeps my Shasta Daisies supported. They they stay upright when blossoms get heavy and the wind blows. This is the first outlet I've found for this product. It should work for all types of tall flowers.
Suggest Dark Green Netting to make the product totally invisible.
Comments about Nearly Invisible Netting:
We had hoped to use this to train vines up walls. The white stands out terribly.
Comments about Nearly Invisible Netting:
Use Vegetable Garden
Durable and good size
Hard to use...tangle sticks or as such cut to size.

Comments about Nearly Invisible Netting:
Nice strong netting. Holes could be a little smaller but all round good enough. Hard to tie onto the poles so I used velcro ties to wrap it around the poles and that worked fine too.
Comments about Nearly Invisible Netting:
This netting is very useful, works well with raised bed gardening. Thanks!
Comments about Nearly Invisible Netting:
Easy to handle and install, Large openings
Comments about Nearly Invisible Netting:
I used this netting to make trellises for my tomatoes, cucumbers and peas. It looks very attractive -- with our white house in the background, you barely even see it. Seems extremely strong.
Comments about Nearly Invisible Netting:
We just put this netting over our new a-frame space saver so the vegetables haven't had a chance to climb up it yet but it looks like the netting will do its job. There was too much netting for the a-frame (have a lot left over for future use) so we cut it. It's kinda bulky working to get the netting tight on the a-frame but we got it. I would recommend this product.

I attach this to my stockade fence with either thumbtacks or a staple gun and use it to train clematis. Works great!
I also have a pergola and am growing climbing hydrangea on it and across the open top.
I attached the netting across the entire open top and am training the hydrangea to go across the top of the pergola, from one end to the other.
Great stuff!

Comments about Nearly Invisible Netting:
The material is durable but has enough spring that it helps to have a friend hold it while you unroll and cut the length you need. Good support for cucumbers and peas, haven't tried anything else yet.
Comments about Nearly Invisible Netting:
This product is great for tomatoes, cucumbers, peas, anything that needs support! It is very durable and holds a lot of weight.
Comments about Nearly Invisible Netting:
Paired with bamboo poles the netting makes a great climbing surface for beans, squash, cukes. The vertical garden incerases your yield and adds beauty and interest!
Comments about Nearly Invisible Netting:
I cut it in half lengthwise and stretch it about 1 1/2 feet above my flowers to support them as they grow up through it. I needed a higher second layer for some of the taller flowers in my cutting garden. I got the idea from the FILOLI gardens.
Comments about Nearly Invisible Netting:
I planted honeysuckle harlequin in my yard about 1.5 years ago and was waiting for it to vine on the wall near by to no avail. Then I found out that this plant is supposed to vine around support, so this netting seemed to be a perfect choice, as it's the same color as the wall I put it against as well as low cost comparing to other supports available on the market. Don't know yet how it will end up, as the plant needs time to get trained.
Comments about Nearly Invisible Netting:
I used this product to train a vine to cover a trellis. Great for clematis also.
Comments about Nearly Invisible Netting:
While the plastic netting is not as invisible as I would like it to be, the visibility means it is sturdy and will last more than one season. It is easily cut with scissors to the size needed. I cut it to one length then folded it a couple of times to provide more holds on my wooden pea ladders. It was easy to attach to wood with heavy duty staples, or you could tie it on with garden twine or bread twisties. I expect to use it over and over, especially since I didn't use all of it this year. I will also use it with bamboo stakes to mark lawn reseeding areas for no walking next Spring. No downside yet at all except it is visible and white. If you want truly 'invisible' like fishing line, this product may not work for you. But it does for me and I will buy it again when my supply finally bites the dust, if ever.
Comments about Nearly Invisible Netting:
The net is definitely visible but once I have enough plants climbing up, it won't make any difference. I'm using it for pumpkins, peas, and cucumbers. It's very strong, light, easy to store and use. I'm pleased with my purchase.
Comments about Nearly Invisible Netting:
Due to the shape of the "A" frame it can be irritating to put on especially in a tight space. Recommend using zip ties
Comments about Nearly Invisible Netting:
Stapled the netting to a six foot fence.
The beans are very happy.
Comments about Nearly Invisible Netting:
Fantastic stuff to use for climbing plants. Easy to use and can be as tall or wide as you wish.

Comments about Nearly Invisible Netting:
I purchased this product to attach to a fence where I am growing a clematis vine. It works just great!
I am now using it on a pergola where I am training climbing hydrangea.
Perfect because you can cut it into any shape.
Easily attached to wood with a staple gun, or you can use thumb tacks - but a staple gun is easier. I had it over the winter and the netting stayed fine.
A great solution!
Comments about Nearly Invisible Netting:
Can't comment on how well it worked because it was too white for me to use. Definitely not "nearly invisible," very stark instead. Wondering if it is being manufactured differently now.

Comments about Nearly Invisible Netting:
While the product is not all that "nearly invisible" it does the job. I would like to see it offered in green or black where it would not be so visible.
It would also be nice to see it offered in different gauges of net and widths.
I am also using it to keep my personal-sized heirloom Moon & Star melons off of the ground. It would be nice if there were melon "hammocks" to hold the melons on to the net. I presently use recycled onion bags, but need to buy a lot more onions to get what I need. LOL!
Comments about Nearly Invisible Netting:
I tacked some to my fence and the Clematis loves it. Also used it for peas--works great!

Comments about Nearly Invisible Netting:
At first I was disappointed because I was expecting the string type netting I previously purchased but this netting is much better. I've used it for the vegetable A-frames for the cukes, and on my arbor for clematis and the front porch post for the honey suckle. The netting is sturdy and holds it's shape, no sagging, and the vines climb up it very nicely.
Comments about Nearly Invisible Netting:
I use this product to grow my cucumbers and squash
on. keeps vegetables off the ground, which means less rotting, bugs and fungus.
Comments about Nearly Invisible Netting:
I bought this product to use as a support for my climbing plants, peas&beans. It comes rolled up so you have to cut it to meet your needs. This was a difficult and tangled up process. It is also NOT nearly invisible. The one I received is bright White. I guess it doesn't matter as long as it does its job and so far it does. I don't know how sturdy or UV resistant it is since this is the first summer using it.
Comments about Nearly Invisible Netting:
It was wider than I expected, (my fault), so I had a difficult time getting it opened and on the support. BUT, once on, it does a great job of supporing my cukes, and keeping chickens from digging up young raspberry plants. I couldn't find a product that was even similar in any of the local stores. Thanks!
Comments about Nearly Invisible Netting:
This netting is actually on its' way back as I write this. It is nowhere near invisible, and I found a product on another website that is exactly what I wanted for [$] the price!I am not normally disappointed with Gardners products, but this one was the exception!
Comments about Nearly Invisible Netting:
Wide openings are great for cuke plants.
Comments about Nearly Invisible Netting:
We used it on a frame for pole beans. Works great and easy to use. There's a large quanitity in the package so it can be used for many different applications.
Comments about Nearly Invisible Netting:
Used it with my squash this year. Maybe the netting could be a bit smaller, but it seems to work. We'll see, come closer to harvest time!
Comments about Nearly Invisible Netting:
This has saved me hours of work in both my vegtable and flower garden.
Comments about Nearly Invisible Netting:
I am using this with bamboo poles for support and with the cucumber trellis. Last year my cucumbers grew way past the trellis and into the peppers. I decided I didn't want that to happen again so I made this hoping to have the cucumbers grow up this after they grow past the trellis.
It was easy to use and I have plenty for next year in case I can't figure out how to store it.

Comments about Nearly Invisible Netting:
This product was lightweight, easy to use and very sturdy. I will have enough for next years cucumbers and maybe the year after that.
Comments about Nearly Invisible Netting:
I love this trellis netting because it's just the right width for a raised bed - just cut it to the length you need and attach to your frame. Now I never have to worry about supports for my tomatoes being pulled over by the weight of the plants. Everything stays right where it's supposed to be!
Comments about Nearly Invisible Netting:
As soon as I received my trellis I put it to good use, with poles set 15 feet apart I took the trellis around the second pole and back to the first, wrapping it back to where I started. I started lima beans on one side and cucumbers on the other. They have already reached the top of the trellis and I am training them to entwine thru every available space. The cucumbers are showing up on the lima bean side and vice versa. It has become a living green fence and looks incredible! All you can see is different colors of green and blossoms, as you said the trellis itself is invisible. And my cats love the sheltered center where it is shaded and cooler.

Comments about Nearly Invisible Netting:
I was surprised when this product arrived. I've used common gardening netting for years to support pole beans mainly, usually on large A-frames. We decide to use netting to cover a 10' wide center section of a long, chain link dog pen. The idea is that the beans (we like the beautiful Trionfo Violetto purple beans from Italy available from The Cook's Garden. The flowers are large and pretty, the beans are long and dark purple)are planted in self-watering planters on each side and will grow up the 6' sides and over the 10' top. The netting secured to the sides provides support over the top. The bean vines will provide summer shade and the dangling will be easy to pick. I was surprised because this netting is much stronger and easier to handle and put up than common netting. It will also be easier to fold up and store -- and next year won't be all tangled up and difficult to use again. Great product!

Comments about Nearly Invisible Netting:
Unlike the description that says this netting is translucent, it is bright white, and very ugly. I wanted to use it as support in a perennial bed for tall growing flowers. After spending much time cutting it and putting it up, I found it absolutely disgusting. It ruined the look of my bed and I threw it away. Had it been translucent, as they represented, it would have worked. False advertising.

Comments about Nearly Invisible Netting:
I use a number of trellis situations in my raised bed vegetable garden, and when one of my old ones finally gave up the ghost, I ordered NIV for what looked like ease of use. We cut the net to size to fit the A-Frame Support for my cucumber bed, attached it to the sides with twist ties, and voila! Instant support for four rows of cukes! Since it's square we could line it up with the straight edges of the frame, which makes it very attractive in my decorative granite cobblestone raised beds, and it will disappear when the vines attach. I like to keep cukes off the ground when they grow to save space and keep them clean. This product accomplishes that.
Comments about Nearly Invisible Netting:
The 6" squares make it handy for picking, you can put your hand through the netting. Very easy to install also, due to it's sturdy design.
Comments about Nearly Invisible Netting:
Not attractive to look at while trellis crops are in infancy; hopefully, the netting will be covered in a month or 2. The large netting allows one to put a hand through to pick produce or, in my case, thin seedlings growing underneath a tepee style trellis.
Comments about Nearly Invisible Netting:
To early to tell but it was easy to use once you unroll it. It is not nearly invisible but bright white. I am sure once the vines cover it will be concealed. also pretty pricey for plastic netting but if it lasts a few seasons can be well worth it
Comments about Nearly Invisible Netting:
this netting while easy to use takes two people to put down. one to hold it in place and another to stretch it out. we were impressed by how strong it is and are hoping to use it for many years.
Comments about Nearly Invisible Netting:
Perfect for growing Beans and Tomatoes. Beans climb right up the net. Looks good in the garden, also.
Comments about Nearly Invisible Netting:
Was easy to work with and is almost invisable on my fence.
Comments about Nearly Invisible Netting:
Using this in my raised planting bed with vegetables. Working great!
Comments about Nearly Invisible Netting:
I'm using this to trail a vine around my swing frame. The large piece was a little cumbersome to cut to size and install, but it fits well and my vine loves it already.

Comments about Nearly Invisible Netting:
I am using this for vertical vegetable support, strung on Jim Coleman's thoughtful pole design from 'The Four-Season Harvest'. I don't find it "nearly invisible", at least not now before it's covered with vines, but I do like its strength, and the 6" holes allow me to reach through easily to work plants on the other side. I am really hoping it lasts for several seasons of use!
Comments about Nearly Invisible Netting:
For planting beans
Comments about Nearly Invisible Netting:
This trellis is just the right size for grean beans. 6+1/2 feet is wonderful, just right for hanging 12-18 inches off the ground, the top is just as high as I can reach. The only thing that I don't like about it is the cost, [$]. I need five of these, and I could only afford one. And it's just plastic! How much could that cost to produce?
Comments about Nearly Invisible Netting:
It's a little soon to tell since the vines that will grow UP this netting are still too small...BUT I think it's going to be much more sturdy than the one I used prior to this. The birds are enjoying using it as a roost as well!

Comments about Nearly Invisible Netting:
This is a great product functionally. But I thought I was getting clear polypropylene, which I saw in someone else's garden. This is bright white. Not a real problem except my neighbors may complain as they look through my garden to our water view. Hope it works.
Comments about Nearly Invisible Netting:
We use the trellis for our pea pods. We attach it to a tripod shaped support made out of bamboo poles.
We preferred the earlier version of netting because it was more flexible. This new plastic netting is not so flexible. It's a trick, and a bit time consuming to take it down and store it over winter, but we do it, and it lasts for many seasons.

Planning to use this in several places in the garden to support tomatos, cucumbers, etc. The material seems sturdy and will be easy to use.
Comments about Nearly Invisible Netting:
Having seen this being used at a friends house successfully, I plan to use it to trellis my cukes and peas. Can't wait to get started. The quality and durability are there!
Comments about Nearly Invisible Netting:
We have beautiful Annabelle hydrangas with HUGE flowers when they are in full bloom. But everytime we have strong winds or rain, the blooms are so heavy that many stems break. The netting has helped tremendously, holding the hydrangas upright and in check. They still bend but not so much that they break. And the netting cannot be seen so there is no distraction from their beauty.

Comments about Nearly Invisible Netting:
I section this material into 6' x 4' pieces to create a trellis for tomatoes, cukes, peas and even Butternut Squash. Unfortunatly the worker who had the job of cutting the netting off from the roll did a very haphazard and crooked job. This caused enough of a loss of material so that I had to scramble to find alternate material for my last trellis. I don't believe I'll be purchasing this brand again.

Comments about Nearly Invisible Netting:
For a trellis for climbing vegetables that are not heavy {I use mine for green beans} such as peas, beans and possibly cucumbers it is great help. It goes up with ease and if supported correctly can support a lot of weight. The only problem I have is when the vegetable dies back and leaves all the tough brown vines it is nearly impossible or so time consuming to remove them from the netting that I just throw netting and all away. I would like to have something that would my serve my purpose and last several seasons.
