Everybody loves fresh peas from the garden, but supporting them with poles, twine and netting can be a hassle. Our sturdy, zinc-plated steel pea fences are an easy solution. Each fence has four hinged panels with big 8" grids. Simply zigzag the fence sections along your garden row and push them into the ground (add a support stake on each end in windy locations).

Comments about Expandable Pea Fences:
This is my first time growing peas vertically. I have raised bed, so space is limited.
The expandable pea fence was a little difficult to put together by myself. However, I did it and it looks great. I secured the fence with long landscape pins. The peas are just a couple of inches out of the ground. I'll be curious to see if it holds up when the peas are fully grown.
Comments about Expandable Pea Fences:
always pleased with products from gardeners supply.
Comments about Expandable Pea Fences:
Very easy to use, can be used for a variety of things.
Comments about Expandable Pea Fences:
Good design, but quality of construction is not that great. The solder joins between vertical and horizontal wire is weak at best. Two joins separated when I put mine up the first time.
Comments about Expandable Pea Fences:
Excellent sturdy fence but difficult to assemble by yourself. needs staking.
Comments about Expandable Pea Fences:
So simple and easy. I dreaded building my own support structure. Very sturdy and stable.
Comments about Expandable Pea Fences:
I'm using this fence for six-foot-tall English shelling peas and so far, so good. I have yet to observe how they perform with fully grown vines.
Comments about Expandable Pea Fences:
I like how how flexible they are, so they can fit almost any space. I thought I use them in one long fence, bending them for stability. Instead, I separated them in 2 and put them in a different spot, maximizing my space.
Comments about Expandable Pea Fences:
This is the second time I have purchased the pea fence. The first one is now being used to hold up branches on an orange tree. Bought these to use with my tomato's and zuchinni. Easy to reach in and pick the oranges or tomato.
Comments about Expandable Pea Fences:
I can't use one of them because I can't get the sections to line up and re-connect - they should not come apart
Comments about Expandable Pea Fences:
I wanted this to grow peas, but the material was so flimsy, I don't think it will hold anything. I was very dissapointed in the quality.
Comments about Expandable Pea Fences:
Great product! The only reason I gave it 4 stars is because it is a little of a challenge to put together.
Comments about Expandable Pea Fences:
This expandable pea fence is perfect for my garden as the four sections are nine feet at their longest points. The fence was a perfect length match for the area that my snap peas occupy. I'm considering using it as a substitute for the trellis netting I usually use for growing my cucumbers vertically. The fence is well designed and sturdy and I hope to use it for many seasons to come. Thank you for this great product.
Comments about Expandable Pea Fences:
Just set this up in my double pea row and it was a "snap" to set up. It appears sturdy and well designed, will be easy to store at season end and hopefully will give me many years of use.
Comments about Expandable Pea Fences:
Easy to set up, sturdy, compact for storage.
Comments about Expandable Pea Fences:
We're going to use it for peas and cucumbers.
Comments about Expandable Pea Fences:
I used these in my raised bed, had no trouble setting up single handed, even adding the upper level by myself. The peas were very happy with it. When I pulled it out to replant, I had difficulty pulling the top level off as it had corroded- the part in the ground was just fine, but had to scrub off the corrosion and will lubricate the joint when I send the cukes up it.
Comments about Expandable Pea Fences:
Used for support of heavy vines to build a "living wall" for privacy.

use for peas
Comments about Expandable Pea Fences:
This is the first time I have used this product and my peas aren't quite tall enough to start climbing on it yet; however, it has done beautifully in withstanding the horrible winds we have here in the Texas Panhandle! I can't wait to write back when my peas are actually growing on the fence!
Comments about Expandable Pea Fences:
My garden space is limited. I typically overcrowd the space. The expandable pea fence allows me to conserve space and improve my yield of snow peas. The fence conveniently stores away when not in use.
Comments about Expandable Pea Fences:
The pea fence is very durable, flexible, storable, but the welding of the crossing wires broke in at least one location. Have to be careful pressing into the ground to avoid breaking other welds. I am using it for peas in early spring and hope to use it for my cucumbers later.

Comments about Expandable Pea Fences:
Using as a pea fence.
easy to install and should be easy to store.
Poor welding. Two cross wires dropped off as it was being installed - without any pressure or provocation!
I have notified Gardener's Supply about this problem but they have not responded. Makes me wonder if I should continue to purchase from them.
Comments about Expandable Pea Fences:
Set up one section in an 8 ft. raised bed for peas. Plan to add the other section on top once needed and probably will have to brace the whole thing then. Easy to use right out of the box. Exactly what I expected.
Comments about Expandable Pea Fences:
Bought these to get my thornless blackberries off the ground. Attractive, and my blackberries seem to love the extra sunlight they get; loaded with blooms. Also using this to start my 2 grape vines; again, grapes not running up the fence vs. on the ground.
Comments about Expandable Pea Fences:
I purchased these for thornless blackberries I planted last year. My vines were all over the place. Tied them up with flexible tomato material (green) and they are loaded with flowers. Gets a lot more sun now. Also trying them with a few grape vines. Again, used the tomato ties. Vines are running up.
Comments about Expandable Pea Fences:
I really like the sturdiness of the fence but I found it a little hard to put together. I am on the older side and was trying to put it together by myself. Two people would work much better. It is taller than I expected and I think it will be great to hold up my sweet peas!
Comments about Expandable Pea Fences:
We received the Pea Fences and very quickly had them un-boxed and situated in our Raised Beds. They were what we expected, and with time, we'll see how they last (i.e. if they rust, etc). The one issue we experienced was with one of the cylindrical ports on the bottom frame. The top frame should slot into the cylindrical ports on bottom frame, however one of the bottom ports was mal-formed at the top, effectively blocking the opening of the port. Fortunately we had a tool on-hand which we used to cut through the metal and remove the top part of the port. Without our ability to remedy this ourselves, we would have had to ship the item back, etc. The peas have sprouted and so we'll see how things go!
Comments about Expandable Pea Fences:
The concept of a durable pea fence is great. I ordered two. The workmanship on the first one was poor, C-. The workmanship on the second one was terrible, F. The instructions recommend using rugged stakes to prevent the structure from blowing over in the wind. I used T fence posts, 3 for each section ... and I would not use anything less for fear of a blowover. Despite the workmanship I may add another section next year. I am leaving them up permanently ... not only would they be difficult to store but you also face at least an hour of setup time for each section when they are next set up.
Comments about Expandable Pea Fences:
We are looking forward to our first crop of peas. The pea fences are really great and will work well in our raised bed. They fit the length of the 8 foot perfectly. I was really suprised by how well they were made and how easily they are to use.
Comments about Expandable Pea Fences:
This year setting up my pea fence was really easy compared to previous years when I used netting and pruned branches from our silver maple. Why did I wait so long to buy this?
Comments about Expandable Pea Fences:
I have a very narrow, long space between my driveway and back fence. The "Pea Fence" is perfect for growing peas, cucumbers, or beans. I anchored the Pea Fence to the posts of my privacy fence for further stability. As the plant grows, I just weave the vine back and forth on the grid. If I had the taller fence, it would be great for blackberry vines.
Comments about Expandable Pea Fences:
I have just received the pea fence so will not know until after the garden season how effective it is, but with two people it was quick and easy to install. Certainly beats putting in poles and using string.
Comments about Expandable Pea Fences:
In the garden for English peas
Easy to store.
Comments about Expandable Pea Fences:
These bean towers are clearly over-priced. Low quality [*] material and workmanship - appalling welds and the metal is already rusting with only two weeks of use.
Comments about Expandable Pea Fences:
I bought a couple extra sets of these this year in an attempt to contain my raspberry batch, which borders a sidewalk. I think what I did will work fine, but the fencing came apart as I tried to put it in-- some of it apparently beyond repair. Since peas are such an early crop, I think this may be a problem for even the actual intended use of the fencing. Still a generally good product, though; I just wish it held together better.
Comments about Expandable Pea Fences:
Great in theory...impossible to assemble unless one is an octopus.

Comments about Expandable Pea Fences:
The fence is easy to use and works well in the garden. The large squares allow for easy access to the other side of the fence for harvesting vegetables. It folds up easily and compact for storage and offers a large area for vining plants to hang on while keeping the fruit off the ground.

Comments about Expandable Pea Fences:
This fence is great for my pea patch, it's sturdy and has plenty of room for them to grow.
Comments about Expandable Pea Fences:
I just put them out in my 3 x 6 raised beds and they just fit under the cloche frames I have on the beds! They seem very sturdy and I don't think I'll have any trouble with wind blowing them over. I've tried twine and trellis netting in the past, but that either weighed down the cloche frame or didn't support the peas well enough and they blew over on a windy day.
Comments about Expandable Pea Fences:
While it is still too early in the season to use this, I can already tell it will make pea harvest much easier. It is easy to put up and just the right size for the snow peas I plant. Plus, I can already see that I can use it for pole beans or even staking tomatoes. Truly versatile!
Comments about Expandable Pea Fences:
I am so impressed with these heavy duty pea supports! I have had flimsy supports from the local shops in the past, and they tip over or sag with the heavy weight of the vines, these are thick and durable enough to last for years!

Excellent product. It's Feb and I have the pea fence installed in a hoop house for tomatos. Like the 8 inch squares. My hands fit through them.

I have this in my mini veggie/herb garden that has 4' x 4' squares. I can move this fence from one section to another very easily. I have grown sweet peas, mini pumpkins and gourds on it. It has been in my garden for two years now and it is in good condition.

Comments about Expandable Pea Fences:
Rotate from peas to cucumbers to peas again in the fall. A PLUS all season long. Short fences purchased many years ago which I use for Soybeans. In fact, the expandable variety admired by my neighbor so much, I bought him one! Gardeners with limited space will watch their production thrive!
Comments about Expandable Pea Fences:
Oregon winters aren't kind to my patio Meyer lemon and Bearss lime. The pea fence, linked into a loop, provides a great framework for a mock greenhouse. I set some of the "legs" into the holes of cinderblocks for stability, lay a couple of 1x12s across the top so the "roof" doesn't fill with water, and wrap with a 2 mil painter's dropcloth. A couple of inexpensive clamps anchor the wrapped plastic securely to the framework. And the inside temperature, with no added heat source, remains 15-20 degrees (or more) above ambient. Happy lemons and limes, and no lugging the frames back to the shed for winter storage.
Comments about Expandable Pea Fences:
Very sturdy and works well for growing peas and mid vine beans.
Comments about Expandable Pea Fences:
I bought these after having had good luck with the tomato stakes made from similar material. I got these in the May 2010 and just took them out of the garden today. When I first got them, it was difficult to get the top panel to fit into the bottom panel. The zinc coating had partially closed some of the holes in the bottom panel that the top panel fits into. As I tried to take the top panels apart from the bottom panels they were seriously stuck together. When I pulled the top panels to get them loose, they came apart at their hinges. To top it all of, there are large areas of rust on the panels after just six months in the garden. I probably should have gone the old concrete wire and posts method but I have had the tomato stakes 8 years and they still look great. Really wish I had not bought these.
Comments about Expandable Pea Fences:
This was the second expandable pea fence I've bought. The heavy guage wire is very sturdy, though you need to follow instructions and stake it down to keep your crop from being uprooted. One puzzling thing I found on both pea fences was that either the top or bottom section (I forget which) was one panel longer, so I had to remove the extra panel with a pliers to make the fence match up evenly on both ends. I have no clue what the extra panel was for, and I also don't know quite how to use the long lynch-pin included on both ends to keep the sections together--they are only half the height of the completed fence and I didn't know which panels to thread them through. The included instructions didn't discuss either of these issues.
However, after assembling the pea fence it has worked really well to grow peas and morning glories, and the new fence is now supporting ground nut vines. I'm very happy with the product and its performance.
Comments about Expandable Pea Fences:
We found these so effective that we ordered more for my dad to use in his garden.
Comments about Expandable Pea Fences:
If it wasn't for the kooky weather, we might have had pea vines climbing all over this fence. As it was, for awhile, anyway, it did exactly as it was supposed to. It even worked as a good divider/fence. We have since bought more of them.
Comments about Expandable Pea Fences:
These four hinged panels do not have an apparent disconnect point. I bought them at the end of the season and have not yet figured out how to disconnect one section so the four panels will extend to the promised nine foot fence. Instructions included in the box would be very helpful.
Comments about Expandable Pea Fences:
Used to tie up Tomato plants, worsk great sturdy fence.
Comments about Expandable Pea Fences:
I used the Expandable Pea Fence in my raised vegetable garden beds (corners and connectors to make the beds also purchased from GS). At first the fence seemed like huge towers compared to the small plants, but the plants soon grew and climbed up the fence without much help (just some occasional adjustments to the vines to get them going where I wanted them to go). I love the fact that the fences collapse for easy storage. I am excited to use them again next year!
Comments about Expandable Pea Fences:
Good design and very sturdy. I can't wait to use it next year.
Comments about Expandable Pea Fences:
I put in a late crop of peas with this as the support. It has nice length to the "in ground" parts so hopefully they stand up to a bit of wind with a full crop on it.
Comments about Expandable Pea Fences:
These pea fences really help to manage the vines that usually are out of control!

Comments about Expandable Pea Fences:
Worked great on Sugar Snap and Snow Peas. Now it is supporting late bean planting...multiple uses per season.
Comments about Expandable Pea Fences:
Because it is so tall, it required more additional staking in my garden. If I had installed it accordian style maybe I could have used fewer tall stakes.
Comments about Expandable Pea Fences:
We've used the pea fences for both peas and tomatoes. They are flexible and easy to set up. One of the tomatoes is in a pot and our 14-year old son figured out a way to use one of the fences for the pot and it is doing very well. We can also see used for supporting other plants as a temporary trellis for our roses and even a support for a sagging blueberry bush. We expect to get many seasons out of the fences as they seem to be very durable. We have recommended them to family members and friends.
Comments about Expandable Pea Fences:
Used these for all of my peas and most of the beans this year - they were super easy to set up and tall enough to accommodate peas as well as giving support to some of my bush beans.
Comments about Expandable Pea Fences:
I love these and so easy to use. I planted 2 rows of peas and then zigzagged these units right over them and they are growing and climbing beautifully. I love these.
Comments about Expandable Pea Fences:
I used these for a raised bed garden to get my cucumber vines room to grow. it's been 4 weeks and the vines seem to be liking it. I'm looking forward to a good harvest ; the pea fence looks good, sturdy and has withstood a few thunderstomes without any evident impact.
Comments about Expandable Pea Fences:
I used it in my raised bed for sugar snaps. The bed was longer and therefore I used it split leveled until I realized the height is necessary for my piece of mind and continuous crop.
I just ordered another one to compliment and stack my raised bed. I get lots of compliments about the the neat look too

Comments about Expandable Pea Fences:
I bought the two-section expandable pea fence. The tubes for the wire inserts are poorly formed making it impossible to assemble as intended. I finally gave up and used tie-wraps to fasten the two sections together so I could use it for my peas.
Comments about Expandable Pea Fences:
These fences work really well. In my windy country, I need to stake them, however. If one uses the extra tall variety, it helps to have two people to put on the top tier.
Comments about Expandable Pea Fences:
To stack them to get enough height requires interlocking them together. It is impossible to get all the prongs secured. We were able to get enough of them together to function, however it should be easier and they should all fit. It works, though is disappointing for the price.
Comments about Expandable Pea Fences:
Two welds broke while we were installing. The expandable joints kept popping free as we tried to set the fence. Two of the expansion joints were rusted as the galvanized coating was peeling off even though they came directly from the box to the garden. Once they were in the ground they appear to be quite stable after we staked the ends.
Comments about Expandable Pea Fences:
I purchased two of these. I apparently opened wrong box first. It did not have instructions, and the product fell apart when I removed it from the carton. Additionally, due to it having been in need of repair, it was extemely difficult to set up. The second box did have instructions, and was much easier to install as it was assembled properly from the factory.
Comments about Expandable Pea Fences:
Wish I had purchased this product years earlier. Every year I plant snow peas in the spring and pole beans in the summer. This product alone is better than any other combination of poles, netting and twine I have used to support the climibing plants and provide easy access to the crops.
Comments about Expandable Pea Fences:
I love these, growing vertical is so fun. I enjoy watching the growth. Very easy to put together and use.

Comments about Expandable Pea Fences:
This is the first year I've used this fence (instead of my typical string!) and I just love it! It's very durable, holds the snap pea plants upright, and this is the first year I've had plants taller than me! Definitely worth the investment!

Comments about Expandable Pea Fences:
This is really strong metal and not flimsy. Easy to use.
Comments about Expandable Pea Fences:
Just put it in the ground and watch your peas grow around it.
Comments about Expandable Pea Fences:
I use this for my green beans. It needs to be longer for the price.

Comments about Expandable Pea Fences:
The pea fence is easy to set up and store. Of course you can use it for peas, cucumbers, squash and even tomatoes.
Comments about Expandable Pea Fences:
Our peas grew quickly and had no trouble clinging to this fence. We've had a couple of windy storms and the fence stayed up without any trouble (we did add landscape stakes and twine when we installed it). So far we couldn't be happier.
Comments about Expandable Pea Fences:
My passion is Sweet Peas, and growing them in the South is not easy. I have limited full sunlight so the expandable pea fences gives me the ability to stake the plants where needed.

Love this! So easy to set up -- basically, just pull it out of the box and put it in the ground! It's sturdy and goes deep into the ground. I use half for snap peas and half for cucumbers. Highly recommend.

Comments about Expandable Pea Fences:
For years I have been using old poles, string, and other items purchased from the local greenhouse. Nothing has worked like this amazing pea fence. Once I bought the fence I went back onto your web site and purchased numerous other items. My garden is the envy of all who come to see it.
The design is effecient , and looks fabulous . I love all of your products and have sent them as gifts to some of my gardening friends.
Thanks you

Great as a trellis for cukes.
Comments about Expandable Pea Fences:
I will buy more as my garden expands.
Comments about Expandable Pea Fences:
Just like it says and shows ......it expands and peas love it, and so do I.
Comments about Expandable Pea Fences:
Each season I reach for the expandable fence that's hanging on the back of my garden shed and set it up with ease. No searching in the woods for branches to support the pea vines!
Comments about Expandable Pea Fences:
I have used this trellis for cucumbers and pole beans and sugar snap peas. This year I am using two of them. One for cucumbers the other for asparagus beans and probably in the fall for sugar snaps again. They work great. I always use them with both top and bottom pieces together and I just store them that way since putting them together takes two people and is a little tricky.
Comments about Expandable Pea Fences:
Very useful in my limited space garden.
Comments about Expandable Pea Fences:
We use the fence for our climbing peas. Works great.
Comments about Expandable Pea Fences:
I tried to create just such a thing last year for the peas in my raised beds. The dimensions and sturdiness of this are perfect. Fit the bed to a T.
Comments about Expandable Pea Fences:
I put this in my 10x10 vegetable garden to help with space. I love the way you are able to zig-zag the fence so it takes up even less space. It is very sturdy when you take the anchor poles to the outside of a raised garden.
Comments about Expandable Pea Fences:
The fence is a good height and will adequately support the peas. The fence seems to sink to adequate depth to support the peas as well. The problem is that each piece has to be attached to each adjoining piece (each 12 inches wide maybe?) by hooking together 6 or 7 different hooks at the same time and with each section you attach several other try to unattach. Also, the welds popped off at several points as I was assembling this. This was all very frustrating. In the end, the fence looks a bit wonky because I couldn't get all the pieces cleanly lined up.
Comments about Expandable Pea Fences:
I needed something for my Sweet Peas which are in an irregular bed and several of these fit into the area to do the job just as I wanted.
Comments about Expandable Pea Fences:
I just put this up for my peas - but you could use it for other veggies or vines. Very sturdy, and folds out. Two come in the box, making it a great value.
Comments about Expandable Pea Fences:
I have several and sent one to my sister as a gift.
Comments about Expandable Pea Fences:
Because my growing space is limited, I need to grow vertically whenever possible.
The pea fence is great because it helps shore up my temporary garden fence and because it provides support for my peas and pole beans.
I would highly recommend the tall expandable pea fence for urban gardeners and anyone else who has limited space!
Comments about Expandable Pea Fences:
A little more expensive then what I was planning to spend, but it is well made, easy to install and flexible to any size garden.
Comments about Expandable Pea Fences:
To maximize the use vs the cost, I use the top section as another bottom section to get more length for the cost.
Comments about Expandable Pea Fences:
This fence is great for my climbing peas. It also works for keeping some critters out of my garden.
Comments about Expandable Pea Fences:
I am very hopeful that I can at least double my stringbean production this year because of this product.
Comments about Expandable Pea Fences:
This is the second time I've ordered the product. The first order several years ago did not last more than one season in one piece.
However, I tried ordering again, hoping the strength/durability had improved. I'm an experienced gardener, did not force it into the soil, but again one of the soldering points separated just with hand pushing it into freshly tilled soil.
Comments about Expandable Pea Fences:
Very satisfied with this product. I'm using it in raised beds as support to grow peas and beans. Very sturdy, well designed, easy to assemble, easy to use and store... can't find anything wrong with it...I bought 3 sets and would definitely buy it again.
Comments about Expandable Pea Fences:
Great for beans,also
Comments about Expandable Pea Fences:
My homemade pea trellis was not sturdy. This one is great - I put it in place and never have to readjust it!
Comments about Expandable Pea Fences:
I bought this product to support my peas and it appears that it could be used for other vegetables like cucumbers. It is very durable and the perfect height and length for the tall growing peas.
Comments about Expandable Pea Fences:
I plant the tall "Telephone Peas" that reach 6' in height. This tall pea fence was easy to assemble and stake into my raised beds. It will be very easy to dissasemble when the peas are done, unless I plant some painted lady beans to climb on it for the hummingbirds. I have it on the edge of one of my raised beds so it isn't in the way of planting other vegetables. Just LOVE IT!!! I love all of your vegetable cages and flower rings, etc. and have many of them.

Comments about Expandable Pea Fences:
I have had 2 of the original pea fences for about 10 years now and I love 'em, except they are not quite tall enough. I was excited to see these taller ones offered, so I ordered 2. Well, they are extremely difficult to use, because all of the panels can (and do) separate from each other much too easily. I picked up the fence to install it, and when I opened it, the whole thing came apart, leaving only two panels in my hands. Also, the height is achieved by using 2 separate fences. So, now I have to try to get the 20 base wires of the top piece inserted into the 20 tubes of the bottom piece, all while attempting not to lose any of the fence panels in the process. THIS IS IMPOSSIBLE TO DO, unless you have at least 6 people to help. Products that try to be everything to many folks end up being really useful to only a few folks. I would have given my earlier models 5 stars, but difficulty of use drops my rating of this model to 2 stars.
Comments about Expandable Pea Fences:
I have this in a raised bed and it will need to be staked. I bought the tall one and it is really nice. Now it is up to the peas.
Comments about Expandable Pea Fences:
I only needed a 3' section for my plants this spring, so used one panel for my pea fence (although I think I shoudl have gotten the tall one), and the second panel I set up as a triangular tomato cage - it works well! My fall pea bed will be a full 6' so will use the whole fence then. Seems well designed and sturdy.
Comments about Expandable Pea Fences:
I found the pea fence very easy to put up and it can be formed into various designs to fit into the space you have available. I have used it in my raised bed for growing peas. It allows more space for growing other vegetables.
Comments about Expandable Pea Fences:
I was generally very happy. It looks pretty good and was easy to fold and unfold. It was a little tricky putting in because as you pushed one section onto the ground it would disconnect from the next section. Another person for the few minutes of installation would probably help. It also seems like it might have many uses.
Comments about Expandable Pea Fences:
Unfold it and stick it in the ground....now how is that? Very simple, yet effective as our plants are already taking to it!
Comments about Expandable Pea Fences:
I loved the pea fence. It kept my pea plants off the ground and from getting dirty. The peas seemed to grow better climbing the fence. I highly recommend it.

Easy to set up and take down. Great support for peas and easy to pick. I liked it so much, that I bought the taller version to use for pole beans next season.

Comments about Expandable Pea Fences:
Using it for peas right now. I agree that putting it together can be a little tough because you really need a second person to hold the top piece while inserting into the second piece. But I managed by myself and placed it where I wanted, after struggling a little because I had to fit it into the space I had as opposed to just placing it with no constraints. So far, three months later it is still holding up well and I trained my peas to go up. I can't wait to plant my spring peas because I think they'll love the trellis.
I only gave 4 stars because I can't vouch for it's longevity and durability.

Comments about Expandable Pea Fences:
When we first moved into our house (which is pretty much like living in a forest preserve), I was delighted with the prospect of creating a garden-that is, until the deer moved in and delighted in eating everything I planted! Knowing that there was not enough money in the bank account to fence in 5 acres, I sought an inexpensive solution to this problem. Then I found these pea fences. The tall ones are great in establishing a perimeter around a shrub, plant, or larger garden which the deer generally will not cross. If you want to use these pea fences to keep out smaller animals, you may have to add smaller chicken wire along the bottom of the fences. Otherwise, these pea fences are perfect and have a variety of uses. By planting a vine along these pea fences, these inexpensive alternatives become nearly invisible. The price of these pea fences makes them a viable alternative to permanent fencing which you may not really need or want. Highly recommended! Give them a try!

Comments about Expandable Pea Fences:
I use this fence for all types of garden vegetables -- winter squash, cucumbers, etc. I also use it to support black berries. The fence is quite a bit too short for my purposes, so I raise the fence about a foot off the ground and tie it to drive posts about every 4 feet for stability. It is sold for pea fence, and it probably would work well for peas, but for heavier vegetables, it needs to be taller and sturdier -- hence the drive posts. The fence is designed to stack one on top of another, but I really question its stability in that configuration. In Oklahoma, we have far too much wind to be able to trust this fencing on its own.

I love the pea fences but don't use them for peas. I separate them in sections and use them for holding back some of my other plants, like my roses, that are spreading into the paths. They are just terrific for supporting anything.
Comments about Expandable Pea Fences:
Useful when trying to conserve on garden space
Comments about Expandable Pea Fences:
I used it for my fall peas. My peas are just climbing the fence. I should have a bumper crop.
Comments about Expandable Pea Fences:
I put this in to corral some peas that were supposed to be 20" tall and just kept going. Much easier to find the pods with this fence! Also tried it with pole beans and it worked very well. Got more plants in the same area, yet easier to get at the beans. And this summer we put a vining flower on it since we couldn't find any other spot..we only used 1 piece and the flower is very happy. Next season I'm going to try adapting it for cukes. I love it!
Comments about Expandable Pea Fences:
This pea fence is far better than using string or a mesh. Easier to put away at the end of the season too. My morning glories and climbing zucchini will be much happier next summer using the pea fence. It will be so easy and quick to set up. Thanks for making gardening easy and simple.
Comments about Expandable Pea Fences:
After stringing a net on bamboo poles for several years, I decided there had to be an easier way to grow English and field peas in raised beds. Purchased 2 pea fences which are much faster to set up, save space and are more durable. Now I'm thinking the cukes would appreciate something to grow on ... possibilities are endless!
Comments about Expandable Pea Fences:
I am using the 5 ft fencing around two large square container pots to grow butternut squash as I have little land to grow a garden. Works wonderful. The pots sit on a concrete slab with the fencing encircling it which is upside down to sit flat and backs up to the side of the house.
Thank you, garden supply. Just what I needed to grow my favorite vegetable for freezing.

Comments about Expandable Pea Fences:
I needed something that I could put up in a few moments, but was sturdy enough to do the job. This pea support fence does just that.
Comments about Expandable Pea Fences:
We have two long rows of black eyed peas in our garden this year and needed something to support them. These supports work perfectly, keeping the peas off the ground and easy to get to for harvest.
Comments about Expandable Pea Fences:
Great fence, but you must anchor it in high wind.
Comments about Expandable Pea Fences:
Used to support a row of tomato plants along a fence and also support rows of 5 ft. tall zinnias. Also great for cucumbers to climb.
Comments about Expandable Pea Fences:
I really liked this fence. it is very well made
and just the right size. i ordered the shorter size. this keeps the deer away too!
Comments about Expandable Pea Fences:
we are first time bean growers and this product really helped our little garden. it was so easy to assemble and has been working out very well. next year i am going to buy more and use them for our snap peas too!
Comments about Expandable Pea Fences:
great set up and easy to use. can also be leaned on a fence or such to grow lettuce under and beans above, even small melons.
Comments about Expandable Pea Fences:
I used this expandable pea fence for peas and for beans. Simple to use. Not at all cumbersome.
I highly recommend. I have ordered and reordered them for a friend. Sharing the good stuff is fun...
Comments about Expandable Pea Fences:
My peas are loving this fence and it was so easy to install!
Comments about Expandable Pea Fences:
The bane of Colorado gardening is hail season. I have four foot wide raised beds. The pea fence is great for using as a mid-line support for a temporary plastic tent to cover the other plants, when we are threatened by hail.
Comments about Expandable Pea Fences:
We used the pea fence to prop up rows of asparagus that is going to seed. Seems to be working great!
Comments about Expandable Pea Fences:
This product works great if your soil is TOTALLY free of stones or rocks. The versatility is the greatest trait. We use them in a garden with excellent soil characteristics (no stones) for holding up Mexican sunflower plants and other tall sunflowers. These plants grow to 16' or more and need support. These fences work great and you can modify the shape to suite the plant.
Our vegetable gardens are a bit more rocky and efforts to use them for supports for peas or other plants met with resistance. You can't exactly push these wire babies into rocks and expect them to win ;-)
However, we ordered one last year and another this year. Primarily to support the various sunflower plants we grow in our gardens. Next year we will dedicate a raised bed to peas and other climbing vegetables and will undoubtedly order another.

Comments about Expandable Pea Fences:
It's so easy to install and an attractive bit of garden "architecture," but my peas grew a good 18 inches taller than the fence and flopped over during a rain storm. The plants love the fence, though. They're much happier along it than they were trying to grow up a spiral.
Comments about Expandable Pea Fences:
I used this in a large rockgarden where I had an irregular space to plant pole beans. The zig-zag shape made it easy to fit into an odd space.
Comments about Expandable Pea Fences:
Love the pea fence! Strong and durable - provides plenty of space for lots of pea plants.
Comments about Expandable Pea Fences:
This is my first year growing Snow peas and I was worried, how was I going to grow them? I had received one of your catalogues last year. When I called the company, an operator told me about the Fence for peas. So I order a set and am glad I did, since my peas are growing up and not across the ground.
Comments about Expandable Pea Fences:
I'm having a lot of fun with this system. It's similar to setting-up a trade show booth if trying to do the entire fence span at one time. My peas were already up so I just stacked two and three sections together and placed around them, they have grabbed on and are doing great. So have the cantalopes and squash. As the cantalope and squash develop I can place their fruit/veg. in slings and secure to the fence. By placing single panels of the fence behind different flower vines, they too are growing like crazy and I can easily add fence panels as needed. My yard has never looked better just wished I had had this wonderful fence years ago. Storage won't be an issue because here in Arizona we can grow things year round, but it does fold down to a tight bundle for storage.
Comments about Expandable Pea Fences:
These pea fences are doing a great job supporting the 10 pea plants we have growing. We started out with just the bottom fences installed because we didn't want the upper part to blow over in the wind while they didn't have the peas to support them. It was a little tricky attaching the tops later, but we managed and now they're working well.
Comments about Expandable Pea Fences:
Easy to set up with out a hassle
Comments about Expandable Pea Fences:
These pea fences are making my gardening sooo much more enjoyable. Not wasting time building my own trellis/fence. Love it!!!!
Comments about Expandable Pea Fences:
This is the 2nd time that I have purchased these. I liked them so much last year that I bought more this year. It seems the design has changed a bit, or perhaps I did not order the exact same thing. My peas were beautiful last year and I expect that they will be this year as well.
Comments about Expandable Pea Fences:
For years I have been putting up stakes and running 3-4 rows of twine between them to support my peas. That's a lot of bending and knot tying!! I bought the expandable pea fence this year, and it is covered with peas right now. Looks great, so easy to set up, saved bunches of time, and I just know the peas are going to taste better than ever this year.
Comments about Expandable Pea Fences:
My cucumbers finally have enough room to climb. The tall pea fences are great, but you need at least two people to assemble them, and to be an octopus would be even better.
Comments about Expandable Pea Fences:
I am using these for beans, peas, cucumbers -- I need them to be straight across, and they work fine - -but even though they are fairly easy to use, a simple sheet of instructions with layout ideas would have been very helpful.
Comments about Expandable Pea Fences:
Very sturdy and easy to pick through the large openings.
Comments about Expandable Pea Fences:
This pea fence was incredibly easy to install. It is strong and durable and able to withstand the Wyoming winds.
Comments about Expandable Pea Fences:
I got the pea fence early this spring and my peas, planted from seed are just large enough to support themselves on the fence. I would definitely recommend this product to a friend. It sure beats the string and bamboo stake fence I tried to assemble for the peas a couple years ago!
Comments about Expandable Pea Fences:
I found that I did not buy enough of this fencing and will be buying at least one more before the next planting season
Comments about Expandable Pea Fences:
They were easy to set up and use
Comments about Expandable Pea Fences:
We assembled this in a matter of minutes and put it zig zag in our raised planter bed. We planted beans (too late for peas here!) and they are coming up and climbing the fence beautifully. There is a lot of room between the wires, so we will be able toreach through to harves the beans easily. Heavy gauge metal that should stand up to several years of use. I will use it this winter, too, to grow sweet pea flowers for next spring.

Comments about Expandable Pea Fences:
easy to use, just put it in the ground, takes a few minutes
Comments about Expandable Pea Fences:
Great pea fence and versatile for beans or other vining crops. Slightly difficult for one person to assemble. Could have end stakes included to secure better in windy conditions.

Comments about Expandable Pea Fences:
I use the square-foot gardening method. It was easy to separate the 8-ft fence into two 4-ft fences to fit into my raised beds. My peas are happy and my garden looks great!
Comments about Expandable Pea Fences:
Order 12 more to add to the 24 I already have. Use them for everything from peas, cuks, patty pan squash, butternut squash....
Simple to use;
1: Unfold
2: Stick in ground
3: Guide vines up from ground
4: Enjoy eating vegetables that are bug and worm free!
Comments about Expandable Pea Fences:
Worked great for getting our peas set up in an attractive orderly way
Comments about Expandable Pea Fences:
In the past I used stakes and string for my climbing peas. The strings sagged and the stakes rotted and broke at the ground level. Your pea fence is absolutely my perfect solution. It was so easy to connect together and put in the ground and my peas are climbing to their hearts content.
Thank you so much for this excellent product.
Comments about Expandable Pea Fences:
Like other reviews warned - some of the top bars came off while setting up - easy to hook them into place since I do not have a welder. Looks good and is the perfect size (very adjustable) now if I can only get the beans to grow without being eaten up by something.
Comments about Expandable Pea Fences:
Attractive, well put-together, sturdy.
Comments about Expandable Pea Fences:
I've got beans growing on it at the moment and am just about to add peas. I also divided it into two parts so cucumbers are growing up one part and beans/peas on the other. Great product.
Comments about Expandable Pea Fences:
This pea fence was easy to set up, is very heavy duty and comes in 2 pieces that can be turned into 2 separate square tomato type cages. At first I thought they sent me tomato cages until I realized that they opened up to form 2 panels that can be hooked together. This is working perfectly for my peas.

Comments about Expandable Pea Fences:
We set this up for our snap peas. Required staking, and weld points broke as we were setting it up. Not worth what we paid. Wire fencing would be more economical, though it would require more set up time.
Comments about Expandable Pea Fences:
This is my first time using the product and so far very happy with it. Did have to use additional stakes at the end to keep it up but nothing that poses a problem.
Comments about Expandable Pea Fences:
I've tried a bamboo teepee support in the past and this will work much better. It is very sturdy and should hold up to wind and weather much better. It also uses much less space than the teepee.
Comments about Expandable Pea Fences:
Love these..but...it only took me 4 hours of thinking & looking to UNFOLD them..no directions!
Comments about Expandable Pea Fences:
I use it for different climbing vegetables beside peas.
Comments about Expandable Pea Fences:
I use pea fence for tomatoes, cucumbers, winter protection for shrub roses, morning glories and gourds at the back of a flower bed, and autumn clematis against a wall. A versatile, useful product that I wouldn't want to do without! (p.s. I finally plan to use it for peas this year!)
Comments about Expandable Pea Fences:
Esay to set up, very stable and eyecatching. Peas are marching up it like soldiers!
Comments about Expandable Pea Fences:
Had great use of two sets in the 2008 season, so ordered two more sets for 2009. Easy to use, but still needs additional support (stakes at bends). Used for pole beans. They held up well, and are easy to store.
Comments about Expandable Pea Fences:
Simple to use and much more durable than the pea fence that I bought from a seed company.
Comments about Expandable Pea Fences:
The fencing is quite versatile. One use for it is this. I start by separating it by single panel sections and use a single bottom for climbing vines that I planted between boxwood shrubs and when the vines gets tall I simply add the top portion of the fence giving me expandability. I also use them on pole beans.
Comments about Expandable Pea Fences:
The fence works great, all my peas are doing great!! The fence stays put even in high winds.
Comments about Expandable Pea Fences:
Now that I'm an apartment dweller with a community garden plot, I no longer have access to the shrub prunings I used to use as pea sticks. This adjustable fence is perfect for Sugar Snap peas in my raised bed. I'll try the second to trellis cukes when the soil warms. I like the way the fence collapses for storage -- it will be simple to hang it on a garage wall for the winter.
Comments about Expandable Pea Fences:
I use the fence for peas anb green&yellow beans, also pole beans. Works great for all.
Comments about Expandable Pea Fences:
This was so easy to put together, my peas are starting to come up and I cannot wait to see how they look on the trellis. I just love these as they have organized my garden to allow for maximum usage in a small space. Looks organized, neat.
Comments about Expandable Pea Fences:
The folding arrangement gives added growing area and super stability, love it!
Comments about Expandable Pea Fences:
I found the pea fence easy to install and will be easy to store. My peas are very happy.
Comments about Expandable Pea Fences:
My peas are just starting to emerge...... so we will see as the season goes on
how they hold up to the weight of the vines....
Comments about Expandable Pea Fences:
I am using sections of this fence in raised bed garden frames to create a "green" and edible privacy fence while the rest of my landscaping fills in.
Comments about Expandable Pea Fences:
I purchased 8 fences 12 years ago and I still use them...I just purchased 2 more of the taller ones. I love them. I really do think I've grown over a ton of peas...I also use them for cucumbers, tomeatoes, flowers beans, dog fence, bluberry fence.

to grow snow peas
Comments about Expandable Pea Fences:
These fences are not only great for growing peas and beans in my garden; they keep our darn dogs out of my flower gardens. I have used them for many, many years. We have very strong winds here in the San Luis Valley and these fences don't blow over!
Comments about Expandable Pea Fences:
The fact that this fence can be made narrower or wider by removing or adding sections is a great feature. So, with a little patience in the set-up phase, it's perfect for any size garden - even our little one!
Comments about Expandable Pea Fences:
Very easy to install and attactive. Need to see if it is strong enough to hold the weight of the peas and beans. It is also possible to tuck it into a garden bed with vines or sweetpeas. Love the fact that no string is needed. Very easy to fold and store.
Comments about Expandable Pea Fences:
This looks like a very sturdy versatile fence. I'm just getting my peas started and find the fence is very useful in my raised bed.

Comments about Expandable Pea Fences:
After ordering the bean tower (which is the same thing only 4 panels rather than 8) that can be used as a square configuration and liking it last season, I ordered 2 tall fences this season.
Each fence is 8 panels and can be arranged in a line to be a wall or like I have it -- as a rectangle 3 panels wide and 1 panel deep.
Several of the connections came loose in shipping so I have some floppy connections. We repaired them ourselves, but I wasn't expecting to have to weld.
My older one is now rusting in places too. Not something I expected.
I hope quality control improves with these since it really is a nice versatile veggie support.
Comments about Expandable Pea Fences:
The tall pea fence is more durable than I expected. It was easy to assemble with two people, following the directions. It would be next to impossible for one person to assemble it by following the directions. I recommend assembling the two pieces flat on the ground, then positioning it in the garden.
I think my peas will be very happy climbing this fence. It is perfect for other vines as well. I was disappointed to see that there are exposed sharp edges where the wire is twisted to connect the panels. I hope to find something to coat them with to protect my arms and hands when I am harvesting.

Comments about Expandable Pea Fences:
Although the product will do the job, I wonder for how long? Some of the joint were poorly soldered and a few were rusty upon arrival. The design is functional and is superior to other products for the same purpose but the quality is lacking.
Comments about Expandable Pea Fences:
Perfect size
Comments about Expandable Pea Fences:
This product is great for peas, beans and sweet peas. I will find out this fall how easy it easy to take off the old vines.

Comments about Expandable Pea Fences:
I bought one of these for my peas last year for use in my raised beds. It worked much better than the previous year's hand-tied string pea support... and the peas were easier to pick, too! Now, I've got another pea fence and hope for twice the peas.
Comments about Expandable Pea Fences:
I bought this tall pea trellis for a client's vegetable garden. It is doing a great job holding up the peas. I installed it myself with relative ease, but I felt lucky that it came together easily. I could see how it might not come together easily for someone with less mobility. Still it seems to be holding up nicely and the peas are thriving.
Comments about Expandable Pea Fences:
this will work great for tall tomatoes and any climbing vegetables.
Comments about Expandable Pea Fences:
I have used my pea fence to grow peas first thing in the spring in my raised bed for the last three summers. Later I used the fence to support the limbs of a small tree loaded with peaches. I have limited space for vegetable gardening,so the fence helped me make the best use of my space. The fence I recently ordered was a gift for my daughter.
Comments about Expandable Pea Fences:
Sturdy, attractive, well designed for its job
Comments about Expandable Pea Fences:
These not only work great for veggies, they protect the bark of my fruit trees from deer. They stand by them selves or in groups. I don't know how I grew tomatos, etc. without them.
Comments about Expandable Pea Fences:
Not only did these rescue my poor tomatoes, but they now also support some of my clematis plants that were not close enough to a good support system.
Comments about Expandable Pea Fences:
Never grew so many peas in my life until I purchased this fencing! Sturdy, durable, easy to store and does what it is supposed to do: support fragile pea vines. I've grown peas for years - tried all kinds of trellising methods and this is by far the easiest to use, most efficient, and most productive trellising product I have found to grow snap peas. I even gave peas away this summer!
Comments about Expandable Pea Fences:
Gave this to my mother to put in her garden for pole beans. We 'broke it in half' and created 2 squares, double-stacked. Much easier to use than her usual tree limb - easier to get at all the beans and more could be put in a smaller area. Also put one around a tomato for grins - the plant and one of its neighbors went crazy growing up the supports. Although I could put it together by myself, it was easier with another set of hands. Can't wait to replace more of her tree limbs with these supports next season!
Comments about Expandable Pea Fences:
The peas I just planted are happily climbing up my new pea fence. We have had two big storms with heavy winds and the pea fence has remained firmly "planted" where I put it. It isn't the most attractive option, but when it is covered with peas you can't really see it anyway. Couldn't have been easier to set up - just pulled it out of the box and inserted it in the ground by pushing down on the attached supports.

Comments about Expandable Pea Fences:
This is great for climbing plants or those that need support. You can take it apart and use it as 2, 3 or 4 sided tomato cages or support for other vegies that need caging. If you need a large cage, you can use the entire piece and shape it into a hexagon. It can be made taller by stacking another one on top. I am currently using one in a zig-zag pattern for my peas which gives it extra sturdiness against the wind. It folds up flat for storage. A two section piece can be used in an inverted V with light weight row cover attached to protect seedlings. I love these!
Comments about Expandable Pea Fences:
Have a large leaf climbing vine that was cut to the ground by a contractor when installing a non-wood fence. Because the vine cannot attach itself to the new fence...this expandable fence is perfect...it is growing rapidly and crawling along this expandable fence beautifully. Thanks for offering a solution to our problem.
Comments about Expandable Pea Fences:
Will use to replace old wooden tepees as support for peas and pole beans
Comments about Expandable Pea Fences:
Use it for peas, have it in my front yard, wish they would make a more decorative one.

Comments about Expandable Pea Fences:
I have used these fences for several years now to support cucumbers. Once the vines are long enough to reach, I start to wind them through the openings. Then, they almost take care of it themselves. Keeps the fruit from rotting on the ground and allows them to grow quite straight. The cucumbers do not take up as much garden space either.
Comments about Expandable Pea Fences:
Great for snow peas. Only regret is that I didn't buy the taller version.
Comments about Expandable Pea Fences:
I am so pleased, my beans were sad until I got them this really cool expandable fence, I love how it can be used for several different things.
Comments about Expandable Pea Fences:
I have not used this product yet due to the fact that I purchased it after the planting season, for next year. I am looking forward to using it. It should free up more space for other vegetable plants and should be easier to weed around compared to the bamboo trellis that I have now.
Comments about Expandable Pea Fences:
it isn't that easy to find effective trellises that will work in a very attractive veggie garden. these are perfect -- they don't obscure the view of my beautiful garden but they really WORK!
Comments about Expandable Pea Fences:
easy to make a long fence out of it
Comments about Expandable Pea Fences:
Great fence for peas & beans.

Comments about Expandable Pea Fences:
We had tomatoes growing in large pots on our deck, and they were getting so big that the regular tomatoe cages were toppling under the weight/size. We had to come up with something fast, so I ordered this pea fence. We wrapped the fence around the tomatoes. It worked like a charm.
These are very sturdy and well made. We plan on using them for peas or beans next year when we put in a large garden.
Comments about Expandable Pea Fences:
I used these in sections, they were very versatile and I kept my little dog out of section just planted and use just a couple stacked for cucumber trellis. Because they are so versatile I will buy another set!

Comments about Expandable Pea Fences:
Excellent for me that peas can be started whenever I want with no waiting for help to put up the fence. Also have used it for beans, and tilted for support for cucumbers and winter squash. Can transport them myself. Do not fold as well as when they were new.
Comments about Expandable Pea Fences:
Used for sweet peas, sugar peas, and starts of sunflowers.
Comments about Expandable Pea Fences:
Right now I am using them for my peas and it's the best item I've used in years. When I go out to my garden I can look right at that section and see what I have. Looking forward to storing them with ease.

Comments about Expandable Pea Fences:
Although earlier versions of these fences hold up quite well through the years, the recent ones had problens with the wire junctions at the spot where they are welded to each other. I had to use high tempterature brazing to reattach some of the broken wires and their original welds, or they were just useless wires.
Comments about Expandable Pea Fences:
I used this for just 2 pickling cucumber plants and they have gone crazy and covered almost the whole fence already. Design is great that I can form the fence to fit where I want it. Just a little tricky aligning the upper portion and bottom portion of fence - needed another set of hands.
Comments about Expandable Pea Fences:
First time using these but the seem to be working really well with my cukes.
Comments about Expandable Pea Fences:
These pea fences support vegetables next to the house and act as a deterrent for hungry deer.
Comments about Expandable Pea Fences:
I used earth staples to secure the fence. My peas did just great.
Comments about Expandable Pea Fences:
While my poor little peas are not doing so well, I have been impressed with how sturdy the pea fence is. The wires could be more closely spaced to make climbing easier for the peas, though.
Comments about Expandable Pea Fences:
Used this for sugar snap peas, then green beans and cucumbers. Should have gotten a taller one for the cucumbers. Very easy to weave tendrils without breaking them.
Comments about Expandable Pea Fences:
This is a useful fence but it is a bit small. I think that 3 sections would be better value for the price.
Comments about Expandable Pea Fences:
could use to grow cucumbers or grow up squash to keep off the ground
Comments about Expandable Pea Fences:
Used to keep raspberry bushes from flopping too much
Comments about Expandable Pea Fences:
Very sturdy - the zig-zag structure gives the best use of space in my small garden.
Comments about Expandable Pea Fences:
I wanted the expandable fence, but received a cage (2). It will work for tomatoes so I didn't send it back. I will reorder the pea fence next year,
Comments about Expandable Pea Fences:
We've had way too much rain this season, but I'm already harvesting my cucumbers. They're well shaped since they're up off the ground and no disease.
Comments about Expandable Pea Fences:
My peas are climbing right up the fence. I can't wait until they are ready to pick. It should be a snap!
Comments about Expandable Pea Fences:
This is the best pea fence I've ever used. My peas grew right up the fence making picking easy. I never had to straighten up the fence after a wind storm...it stood its ground. I can see this fence would be good for pole beans, gourds and other climbing crops.
Comments about Expandable Pea Fences:
Wonderful product and versatile, too!
Comments about Expandable Pea Fences:
Easy to set up in the garden and is the right height for all kinds of peas.
Comments about Expandable Pea Fences:
We have snow peas and sugar snap pea plants the fence is supporting. The fencing is holding up well, even through the high mph winds that have kicked up. It's easy for the pea tendrils to attach up the fence and the fence doesn't give when picking the pods. Will be buying more of this fencing in the future.

Comments about Expandable Pea Fences:
Haven't grown peas since I was a kid. I should have bought the taller fence. It's been fun watching the peas grow up, then fall back over and then climb back up again. So I guess that would make them close to 9 ft if stretched out. I am now loaded with peas... and they barely make it to the table, everyone wants to eat them raw! Am also using this type of fence for my cukes this year and so far they look great.
Comments about Expandable Pea Fences:
I originally bought this fencing for cucumbers to climb up. But since animals were eating all of my cucumber and all pepper plants, this early spring I decided to buy more of this fencing, bought some mesh and created a four foot fence around my cucumber plants. They're thriving for the first time in years. No animals have penetrated the fence.
Comments about Expandable Pea Fences:
The tall pea fence was easy to install (with two people), but we had to reinforce it with 8' tall T-posts to hold the fence up with all the weight of the peas. I will definately use it again now that I have the T-posts in place.
Comments about Expandable Pea Fences:
I like the look of it. It was a little frustrating
for my impatient husband to put up by himself!!
I can't wait for my sweetpeas to grow and twist around this femce
Comments about Expandable Pea Fences:
I have to watch that I do not gouge the skin on my arm when I reach through the trellis to harvest my peas.
Comments about Expandable Pea Fences:
The pea fence has increased my harvest of peas by at least 50%. I'll probably buy another one next spring.

Comments about Expandable Pea Fences:
This is the easiest solution for supporting peas
Comments about Expandable Pea Fences:
My only difficulty with this product was aligning the top and bottom halves and keeping the sections attached all at the same time. It really takes 4 hands to put up.

Comments about Expandable Pea Fences:
Purchased this for my sugar snap peas as I've "jury rigged" bamboo poles in the past. Fortunately/unfortunately my sugar snap peas needed the tall pea fence. The support is fine ... just not tall enough ... the pea plants are falling over the top of the support!
Comments about Expandable Pea Fences:
Love this product. The garden, snap & sweet peas have produced more fruit & flowers than when I didn't use the fence. It's simple to install, durable in the howling winds we get and easy to store. It just doesn't get any better.
Comments about Expandable Pea Fences:
I've had lots of compliments on my pea fence and on the bean cages I purchased a couple years ago. They are so functional for organizing the garden and helping me maximize the space in my small, city garden.
Comments about Expandable Pea Fences:
Works fine. Only commentis that it is not easy for one person to get the top half attached to the bottom half. A helper makes it real easy. Now, if it could just keep the rabbits away.
Comments about Expandable Pea Fences:
This was the first year I could plant peas and the weight of the plants didn't break down the fencing! I love it, will definitely get more for next year.
Comments about Expandable Pea Fences:
I use it to keep peas growing upright.
Comments about Expandable Pea Fences:
This is a wonderful support for my cucumbers, and also a 'barrier' for my zucchini and yellow squash, to keep everything neat and contained. The quality is excellent, it is not only very functional but also 'attractive,' and folds to store in a very small space. I had borrowed one from my neighbor last year, and this year ordered several for myself.

We use the fences to support our peas and butterbean vines. The design is great for keeping the vines supported and off the ground. We have used these for 3 years and store them for the next year. Very useful product!

I like this fence because you can really plant a lot of sugar snap peas...high yeild this year!

Use it not only for my sugarsnaps, snowpeas and english peas, but it is great for cucumbers, tomatoes, beans, cantalope and other vining crops. The only drawback is that I usually need an extra pair of hands when I am joining sections. Even purchased some for my daughter-in-law as a Christmas gift.

I decided to use the Pea Fence for my peas this year, as in the past something always ate my pea plants before they could grow onto the chicken wire fence I previously used. Finally, I have peas! - the Pea Fence kept the plants off the ground and the plants attached to it easily and produced wonderful peas!
