a little pricey but worth it because they are very sturdy...
Comments about Tomato Ladder Extensions, Set of 3:
I bought the extensions after buying the ladders. They are the same product but much cheaper. Love them for my tomatoes, peppers, and eggplants.
Comments about Tomato Ladder Extensions, Set of 3:
Easy to use and built to last. Bought several extensions and use them interchangeably with tomatoes, peppers and eggplant.
Comments about Tomato Ladder Extensions, Set of 3:
I bought one set, then another, then another! And all for my 8 X 4 raised vegetable garden. I am in the process of training my Tomatoes and Peppers to grow on these pretty red supports. A nice contrast to the green growing things around them.
Comments about Tomato Ladder Extensions, Set of 3:
These ladders are great for tomatoes and are well made. They are sturdy. When stacked together they do not wobble and become flimsy. Easy to work with and not frustrating like other cheap tomato supports.
Comments about Tomato Ladder Extensions, Set of 3:
I do container gardening and had a 3'-5' containter built to plant my tomatoes and peppers in. I knew I would need a different kind of staking system for them. I knew I could count on Gardener's Supply. They almost always have what I am looking for and a price that I can afford.
Comments about Tomato Ladder Extensions, Set of 3:
I have had the standard ladders for years and loved them but they were not tall enough. It was great to be able to purchase extentions. I bought the red because they were on sale but kinda like the kick of color in the garden. With two sets I can raise 5 standard ladders and still have 2 to combine in to one ladder for a shorter plant!
Comments about Tomato Ladder Extensions, Set of 3:
I drilled holes in my large plastic pots to put the extensions through into the soil. They give me a much more solid base for the ladders plus added height. This is my first year of using the ladders with extensions. The tomatoes are really growing up them quite nicely and are easy to reach for placement. I also like the ladder look versus cages, which is what I have always used in the past. It is great that the sections can also be used for peppers, eggplant or other vegetable support as well.
Comments about Tomato Ladder Extensions, Set of 3:
Sturdy supports; do the job well.
Comments about Tomato Ladder Extensions, Set of 3:
I have always disliked the tomato cages sold by the nursery because they bent so easily. These are very sturdy and will survive for many years I am sure!
Comments about Tomato Ladder Extensions, Set of 3:
I would buy to sets. I found that one ladder was not enough to hold my tomato plants. Since they are different heights, you should buy two sets.
Comments about Tomato Ladder Extensions, Set of 3:
I have purchased several tomato ladder sets and have also given them as gifts to friends and family.
Comments about Tomato Ladder Extensions, Set of 3:
This is the only thing that could improve the strongest towers I've ever owned.
Comments about Tomato Ladder Extensions, Set of 3:
Just what I needed LAST year for the monster Jersey tomatoes
Comments about Tomato Ladder Extensions, Set of 3:
Great as an extension or alone.
Comments about Tomato Ladder Extensions, Set of 3:
Haven't used them yet. But my son has them and he thinks they are terrific. I purchased the tall tomato ladders for my three children after I tried them. Wouldn't be without them.
Comments about Tomato Ladder Extensions, Set of 3:
Using the ladders to support tomato plants in the garden. The heavy duty construction should stand the test of time in our climate. I love that they will not fall over with the weigt of heavy plants.
Comments about Tomato Ladder Extensions, Set of 3:
This product is the best support I have had for tomatoes. I have a very small garden and plant the plants in with my flowers. These ladders keep the vines compact and neat. It is also easy to tie the vines for good support to the ladders.
Comments about Tomato Ladder Extensions, Set of 3:
I checked my top units before ordering to make sure they had the shape that was supposed to fit.
The legs don't line up with the tops legs.
Comments about Tomato Ladder Extensions, Set of 3:
The extention ladders are great. I actually bought them for my vegetable ladders...seems that the vegetable ladders aren't tall enough to support most of the vegetables we grow. I can see that it would be helpful for the taller tomato plants also. Easy to use and same great quality.
Comments about Tomato Ladder Extensions, Set of 3:
The Extensions are the perfect solution to the monster tomato plants we grow. The extra 30 inches is ideal to accomodate the tall plants. Very sturdy, easy to assemble, easy to store. Our tomato crop yield was incrediblle! Held up even in strong storms. A great investment I will use for many years.
Comments about Tomato Ladder Extensions, Set of 3:
I love having the extra height.
Comments about Tomato Ladder Extensions, Set of 3:
my tomatoes wnted to grow out not up, had to stake too much to get them to really hold. We have too much wind to make these useful.
Comments about Tomato Ladder Extensions, Set of 3:
2010 Summer garden - my tomato plants went to the top of the tomato ladder, back down to ground and sprawled (first year with raised beds). I got the extensions to (try) to keep the tomatoes under better control this upcoming season. Right now, the extension is in place over tomato starts (Southern California - plants can over-winter), and I will see if they are enough next summer.
Original ladder still holding summer tomatoes, so haven't assembled the full ladder yet. The ladders worked- the plants just went wild; I expect the extensions to work equally well.
Comments about Tomato Ladder Extensions, Set of 3:
This is a great product but I would recommend buying the extensions. I didn't think I would need them, my tomatoes have never grown this tall. Now I know for next year.
Comments about Tomato Ladder Extensions, Set of 3:
I am using these for the first time this year with my tomatoes that are in Earth Boxes. I did not put them in the Earth Boxes but in the ground. I thought that they needed to be deeper in the ground to offer more support then to put them in the Earth Box. So far they are working okay, but I think that they would be better for tomatoes planted in the ground. I do think that they are a little pricey. My first set that I ordered had a lot of chips off the paint, but they replaced them for me promptly. I also order the extensions. I think that they are a must.
Comments about Tomato Ladder Extensions, Set of 3:
Worked well, easy to use, added just enough height. I used these for my tomato plant but I also wanted to use them for my pole beans--the woodchuck had other plan for my beans!!
Comments about Tomato Ladder Extensions, Set of 3:
I HAVE THE LADDERS AND THESE EXTENSIONS WERE A GREAT ADDITION TO THE ORIGINAL LADDER. MY TOMATOES DO NEED THE EXTRA HEIGHT. I DO HAVE ONE COMMENT CONCERNING THE PACKAGING (THIS IS WHY I DIDN'T GIVE THESE 5 STARS). WHY ON EARTH ARE THE LADDERS PACKAGED AS A SET OF 3 WHEN THE ORIGINAL LADDERS ARE PACKAGED AS A SET OF 5? I BOUGHT ONE SET AS I DIDN'T KNOW IF THEY WOULD WORK AND EVEN IF I WENT AND BOUGHT ANOTHER SET, I WOULD HAVE 1 EXTENSION LEFT OVER. I'D HAVE TO HAVE 15 TOMATO LADDERS FOR ME TO HAVE THE EQUIVALENT NUMBER LADDERS AND EXTENSIONS! THIS DOESN'T MAKE ANY SENSE!
Comments about Tomato Ladder Extensions, Set of 3:
I'd love to know if anyone else has a problem taming their plants. Inspite of the cages and ladders as well as pinching, my tomatoes are gargantuan and seem to sprawl into more space than is supplied by either product. So I am forced to tie and tame more than I think should be necessary. I always grow heirloom organic indeterminate varieties so I understand that some of this is due to that but whoa. No one else seems to have quite the same results.
Comments about Tomato Ladder Extensions, Set of 3:
I found that as the load gets heavier it can be challenging to keep the whole structure from tipping. Longer ground insertion stakes would likely solve this problem. Overall a good product if you're careful in your placement.
Comments about Tomato Ladder Extensions, Set of 3:
I find that as the load gets heavier it becomes more difficult to keep these upright. If the design were tweaked to extend the stakes that go into the ground it might help with this problem.
Comments about Tomato Ladder Extensions, Set of 3:
We really like this product. The extension ladders have really added to our summer garden and have helped to keep it neat even in the heat.
Comments about Tomato Ladder Extensions, Set of 3:
The one thing I don't like about this product is the fact that the extension cannot be added on at the end but has to be used first. I suppose it is necessary to make the extended tomato ladder more stable. What makes them versatile is that I also use these alone to stake peppers and smaller plants that need significant support. Love having them and keep adding more each season.

Comments about Tomato Ladder Extensions, Set of 3:
I started out with the tomato ladders waiting to see which of my tomato plants needed extensions. When I realized which plants, I ordered the extensions.
BUT reading the instructions to the extensions, they obviously have to be put in the ground before the tomato ladders.
So now I have tall tomatoes. In order to install the extensions, I have to pull the ladders off my tomato plants hoping not to kill them in the process. Then I have to put the extensions in the ground and then put the ladders on top of the extensions.
IF I HAD KNOWN FROM THE BEGINNING THAT THE EXTENSIONS NEED TO GO IN THE GROUND BELOW THE REGULAR LADDERS I WOULD HAVE ORDERED THEM ALL AT THE SAME TIME.
As I mentioned before some my tomato plants are already very tall. I am hoping that I will be able to remove the ladders, install the extensions, and then put the regular ladders on top of the extensions WITHOUT injuring my tomatoes so much they they die off! Grrrrrrr!
I will let you know if my tomatoes survive this trauma. Lotte Weinstein
Comments about Tomato Ladder Extensions, Set of 3:
The extensions are a MUST for the original ladders...our tomato plants grow evry bit of 7 feet and more...
Comments about Tomato Ladder Extensions, Set of 3:
First time using the tomato ladder extensions. Glad I purchased them.
Comments about Tomato Ladder Extensions, Set of 3:
I used the individual pieces to stake my Dahlias. The seem to be working well, but it is still early in the season. Ask me in August.
Comments about Tomato Ladder Extensions, Set of 3:
The extensions are great especially in the raised beds. The tomatoes just keep climbing up and taking up very little space. The red color is a nice contrast too.
Comments about Tomato Ladder Extensions, Set of 3:
This was solution for my indeterminate tomatoes when I was too lazy to look up the the type of tomato plant. I just add a towere when it gets taller- ano brainer. However, my raised bed has a lot of sand so reinforcement maybe required.
Comments about Tomato Ladder Extensions, Set of 3:
As a square foot gardener, I find the extensions an absolute must for tall or indeterminate tomatoes. (I use them for my Sweet 100 cherry tomatoes.) They are very easy to install with the tomato ladders - just slide them together. They also help keep my small garden space neat.
Comments about Tomato Ladder Extensions, Set of 3:
I have used these ladder extensions in the garden for string beans, cucumbers, etc. Also, used in the flower beds for vines such as honeysuckle vines, etc. They work great!
Comments about Tomato Ladder Extensions, Set of 3:
I use them for additional length for the veggie ladders too.
Comments about Tomato Ladder Extensions, Set of 3:
The design is great for large tomato plants, the flaw is in the design of the extensions. Extensions must be placed in the ground first, requiring the larger ladder on top. Silly for too many reasons to list here. Obviously not designed by a gardner.
Comments about Tomato Ladder Extensions, Set of 3:
I have used the extentions for tomatos and they work well.
Added extensions to the smaller ladders for taller uses such as cucumbers when I ran out of the tomato ladders.
Comments about Tomato Ladder Extensions, Set of 3:
These look really nice in the garden. I just got them this year so I don't know how well they hold up as an extension to the ladders (hence the rating of only 4 stars).
These would also seem to be good for Bell Pepper plants.
Comments about Tomato Ladder Extensions, Set of 3:
You never know for sure how high the tomatoes will get so just buy several sets of extensions instead of ladders and keep adding them to each other as the plants grow taller. Since the extensions must be on the bottom, removal of the ladder to add an extension later damages the plants and root systems. The cost of two sets of extensions is only a little more than one ladder.
Comments about Tomato Ladder Extensions, Set of 3:
The red ladders add so much color to the garden. I am thrilled to have finally found a sturdy tomato support that is tall enough and won't buckle by the end of the season. Love them!
Comments about Tomato Ladder Extensions, Set of 3:
This is my first season so it is too early to tell but the supports could be a little longer. More stability if there are high winds with a tomato plant is a good thing. The neighbors noticed them and think they look sharp. Once I get a feel I may add some tent stakes for peace of mind
Comments about Tomato Ladder Extensions, Set of 3:
I've used tomato ladders for years and found they aren't quite tall enough for most varieties. These extensions easily add 2 feet of height to handle most varieties.
Comments about Tomato Ladder Extensions, Set of 3:
These extensions look sturdy and went in the ground easily. They are a definite improvement over the tomato stacks I have used in previous years. I do not think I wil have problems with these being blown over when we have windy weather.
Comments about Tomato Ladder Extensions, Set of 3:
I ordered the complete set in RED. Love the color. Actually, I had all my tomatoes already planted in containers (Have very active moles and gofhers. BUT I decided these would be great for supporting tall heavy flowers (Texas Star, Angel Wing Begonia). Worked out great and they look good in the yard.

Comments about Tomato Ladder Extensions, Set of 3:
The extensions are really not "extensions" but "bases". Extensions would be added at the top and that would make sense. If they really need to be on the bottom they should be either shipped with the regular ladders or ahead of time. I received them after I had installed the regular ladders and so had to remove them and re-install both. Bad plan.
Comments about Tomato Ladder Extensions, Set of 3:
Excellent companion for the tomotao ladders
Comments about Tomato Ladder Extensions, Set of 3:
The tomato stands are so sturdy, you don't ever have to worry about them tipping over. With North Dakota winds, thats a plus. I just sent them to my daughter in San Diego, CA for her tomatos.
Comments about Tomato Ladder Extensions, Set of 3:
I bought 10 of the taller tomato ladders 5 years ago(2 sets of 5). Last year I bought 9 extensions (3 sets of 3). Other than the miss match of quantity they're great! Having the extensions makes using my tomato water jackets a lot easier because I no longer have to raise them above my head to remove them once the temp rises in the middle of the summer. I place the extensions and water jackets on Memorial Day when I move my tomatoes outside. Later in the summer simply remove the water jackets then place the original ladders on top of the extensions.
Comments about Tomato Ladder Extensions, Set of 3:
Only time will tell how long the product lasts. Have used the taller version for many years and they are as good as new.
Comments about Tomato Ladder Extensions, Set of 3:
I love these tomato ladder extensions. I like to grow indeterminate varieties and the extra tall ladders are a must. even with the extension, the ladders are just as sturdy and bear the weight well.
Comments about Tomato Ladder Extensions, Set of 3:
Very sturdy tomato ladders. Didn't know I would need the extensions though and had to add bamboo stakes to the original tomato ladders. I bought the extensions for this year's crop and must remember to put them in the ground first and then add the ladders.
Comments about Tomato Ladder Extensions, Set of 3:
These will support the heaviest beefsteak tomatos you grow.
Comments about Tomato Ladder Extensions, Set of 3:
Each year you come up with great new ideas and I find myself going to your site more and more. Thanks
Comments about Tomato Ladder Extensions, Set of 3:
Why wasn't ladder extensions made of the same metal as the ladder? It makes it very flimsy as you are putting the ladder ext. on the bottom..
Someone didn't think through this idea....you
want strong support for tomato weight..
Very dissatisfied !
I wouldn't recommend the ladder extensions...
but the basic ladders are great...

These ladders are great for holding up plants with heavy fruit/vegetables.

Comments about Tomato Ladder Extensions, Set of 3:
The extensions are terrific. The only problem was I didn't realize that the extensions have to be placed by the tomato plants FIRST, then you attach the ladder. I didn't decide I needed the extension till a few weeks after placing the ladder so I had to remove the ladder from the plant, put the extension by the plant then add the ladder. So order the extension at the same time that you order the ladder and you'll have no problems!

Adds some happy to my greenhouse! Used in outdoor garden, positive plus for the greenhouse.
Comments about Tomato Ladder Extensions, Set of 3:
they work but would like to see a tighter fit. a little loose and whole support is a bit crooked though they didnt fall down under weight
Comments about Tomato Ladder Extensions, Set of 3:
Product works exactly like pictured
Comments about Tomato Ladder Extensions, Set of 3:
Perfect addition to the tomato ladder. Great for small spaces.
Comments about Tomato Ladder Extensions, Set of 3:
It seems like I should get the extension first and add the regular ones on top of it. I am not able to add the extension to the existing ones.
Comments about Tomato Ladder Extensions, Set of 3:
We own several of the standard Tomato Ladders, and found that our tomato plants grew taller than the ladders last summer. These new tomato ladder extensions are perfect for my garden. I purchased extensions for all of my previously owned ladders and my tomato plants are defnitely growing that tall again this summer!
Comments about Tomato Ladder Extensions, Set of 3:
to support tomatoes in my garden
Comments about Tomato Ladder Extensions, Set of 3:
I used to have problems with my tomato plants out growing the cages. This product really supports your plant even when they get very tall. Just dont forget to pinch the suckers. This prduct is also a great space saver
Comments about Tomato Ladder Extensions, Set of 3:
I liked the towers, but they were not tall enough. These extensions are great. They are easy to use and are very sturdy. I am hoping they are tall enough though, because tomatoes seem to grow very tall in my yard!
Comments about Tomato Ladder Extensions, Set of 3:
I purchased these extensions after I had planted my tomato plants using the tomato ladders and the red growing pans. I knew that the extensions were to be put in the ground and the ladders placed on top of them, but it was too late for that. I thought I'd just give it a try and they worked on top of the ladders! They are sturdy and are supporting my plants, which have now grown almost to the top. I love these tomato supports!
Comments about Tomato Ladder Extensions, Set of 3:
These extensions make the tomato ladders just the right height for sprawling indeterminate cherry tomatoes, pole beans, and peas. They're very sturdy, and of sufficient weight and heft to support the height of tall tomato ladders. They're very easy to use. The tomato ladder legs slip easily into the cylinders of the supports.
Comments about Tomato Ladder Extensions, Set of 3:
I am too short to push in tall supports. The tomato ladders were the perfect size for me to install, but they weren't tall enough for the plants at the end of the growing season. These extensions are PERFECT and so easy to add to the ladders. I LOVE them! Thanks so much.
Comments about Tomato Ladder Extensions, Set of 3:
Grow my tomatoes in containers and they usually get very tall and then fall over. I always wished for extra height on the supports. they fit well, easy to install. However with the crummy weather so far int he Northeast, my tomatoes are the same size as when I planted them on Memorial Day! Maybe they will get a better trial test next year.
Comments about Tomato Ladder Extensions, Set of 3:
Best tomato ladders on the market! We'll never use anything else!
Comments about Tomato Ladder Extensions, Set of 3:
This is a great addition to the garden ladder. I can now tie my tomatos no matter how tall they get. This is rugged will do the job well.
Comments about Tomato Ladder Extensions, Set of 3:
Use for my taller tomatoe plants. Not as sturdy as I expected
Comments about Tomato Ladder Extensions, Set of 3:
Works very well; however, it can become top heavy with the extension attached. With mature plants with plentiful growths, the ladder will not contain it completely - requires some stringing to the outer ladder. Overall, serves the purpose very well.
Comments about Tomato Ladder Extensions, Set of 3:
Fit well with the tomato ladders I ordered and the vegetable ladders I already had, so I can get a wide variety of heights for different vegetables. My tomatoes are not yet tall enough to see if they are going to be stable. They were hard enough to assemble that I may not want to take them apart to store them.
Comments about Tomato Ladder Extensions, Set of 3:
Since the ladders are narrow and encourage upright growth, the extentions provide early support and allow you to continue that support as the plant grows.
Comments about Tomato Ladder Extensions, Set of 3:
I have custom built planting boxes on my deck (only full day sun space available) as well as large ceramic planters for my vegetable garden. These structures are wonderful and very space efficient.
Comments about Tomato Ladder Extensions, Set of 3:
These are only good if you anticipate needing them before you ever plant your tomatoes. But if your tomatoes have overgrown their ladders and you need extensions, these are NO HELP. They're designed to go UNDER the longer ladder, not on top.
Comments about Tomato Ladder Extensions, Set of 3:
Very happy to extend the tomato ladders as they were short for indeterminates. Only gave a 4 because my toms aren't big eneough to test them yet! Also, I only have 5 ladders and had to buy the extensions in groups of 3....did I lose one or have the goupings changed??? Anyway - so far very happy.
Comments about Tomato Ladder Extensions, Set of 3:
I've always loved the tomato ladders--until the middle of the summer when the vigorous tomato plants outgrow them. These extensions make it possible to support tomatos ALL SUMMER LONG
Comments about Tomato Ladder Extensions, Set of 3:
Wonderful straight-up extension added that was needed in my small garden space for growing a grape vine.
Comments about Tomato Ladder Extensions, Set of 3:
Great support
Comments about Tomato Ladder Extensions, Set of 3:

Comments about Tomato Ladder Extensions, Set of 3:
Works great, needed for tomato plants
Comments about Tomato Ladder Extensions, Set of 3:
Tomato Ladders encourage tomato growth and give
great support. A Must have.
Comments about Tomato Ladder Extensions, Set of 3:
the extensions give you support that you can rely on. tomatoes get heavy when they grow and these are more solid than stakes or cages.
Comments about Tomato Ladder Extensions, Set of 3:
It's a very good well made product but costly for the gardner trying to raise a small garden.
Comments about Tomato Ladder Extensions, Set of 3:
This is perfect for tomatoes and cucumbers because they get so tall.
Comments about Tomato Ladder Extensions, Set of 3:
A definite help with my tall tomato plants. Do not see a need to clip the tops off any more.

Comments about Tomato Ladder Extensions, Set of 3:
I bought these to add height to the ladders I bought two or three years ago...and I could NOT get them to fit! They were off by perhaps 2 mm but that was enough: the metal is so inflexible that they won't 'give' enough to slide onto all three prongs. However, I took the three extensions and put them on top of each other to give me one more ladder. Perhaps if the ladders and extensions were purchased together they would fit.
Comments about Tomato Ladder Extensions, Set of 3:
We plant 6 to 8 tomato plants between a sidewalk and garage - approx 3 ft by 25 ft. These extensions make the most of a small space and really increase our crop as we are not trimming and cutting back as in other seasons. Thank you.
Comments about Tomato Ladder Extensions, Set of 3:
I'm very happy with the product construction. They are secure and heavy duty (not heavy, but real solid). I have no doubt they will support tomato plants well. I cannot wait until my plants are large enough to set the supports in the ground. I can also see them used for climbing flowering vines.
[1 of 1 customers found this review helpful]
Comments about Tomato Ladder Extensions, Set of 3:
Not really extensions, as in adding on - these are *base units* that the full-size ladders fit onto. So you can't start the season with the ladders and add these later. Otherwise, same great value as the ladders.

Comments about Tomato Ladder Extensions, Set of 3:
Using for tomatoes this year; would be great for pole beans but I need more; easy to store.
Comments about Tomato Ladder Extensions, Set of 3:
They took a good product (tomato ladders) and made it even better with the extensions. They give extra height for tomatoes but are also handy for smaller vegetables that vine but do not need much height. I also use them for taller flowers, very versital.

Comments about Tomato Ladder Extensions, Set of 3:
I tried to use these with tomato ladders that I've had for several years. I was unable to attach them because the ladders were no longer perfectly straight and aligned. I think if you are buying new ladders these would work quite well and give the height my tomatoes need, but it didn't work for me.
Comments about Tomato Ladder Extensions, Set of 3:
Nice for indeterminate tomatoes. It is difficult to assemble the extended ladder in place. If adding to used ladders it is important that the legs be clean or there is difficulty getting the legs to seat properly. It would be better if the extension went on top so you did not have to decide placement when the tomatoes are small
Comments about Tomato Ladder Extensions, Set of 3:
"I purchased the red tomato ladders last year. They worked perfectly except that my tomato plants grew taller than the supports. If my plants grow as well this year as they did last year WOW!, I'll have a much easier time controlling my plants. Thanks for your hard work!"
Comments about Tomato Ladder Extensions, Set of 3:
I'm thrilled with the extensions for your wonderful tomato ladders. I loved using the ladders last year, but, alas, come August, the vines just grew too tall. Thank you, thank you for anticipating my needs with these great extensions! They will keep my plants up off the ground, extending my tomato harvest!
Comments about Tomato Ladder Extensions, Set of 3:
Very sturdy and versatile. More interior capacity would be great for rangy plants.

Comments about Tomato Ladder Extensions, Set of 3:
Let me say that I love, love, love, the tomato ladders themselves. They are made from a much heavier gage steel than the extensions. I did not use the extensions as extensions. I am using them for my bush beans. I have to say, that I didn't even try them as extensions as I was thrown as to why these would be such a smaller gauge steel. So take my review for what it's worth. They do look nice and will help keep my beans off the ground, so I was not dissappointed.
Comments about Tomato Ladder Extensions, Set of 3:
I will be using this as an extension to the ladders I bought for my tomatoes last year, which I loved - they just weren't tall enough.
I have yet to use them, so I really can't say a whole lot. Since I loved the ladders last year I don't foresee any problems with this product.
Comments about Tomato Ladder Extensions, Set of 3:
Work well with the red automators and fit right into the extensions. My tomatoes always grow very high so I am hopeful these will do the trick.
Comments about Tomato Ladder Extensions, Set of 3:
Using for the first time. Plants are only 2' tall, so we'll see what happens when the grow up. Using with the ladders and the automators and had no problems matching the three products up.

I've had the tomato ladders for a couple of years and think they're a great product, but my tomatoes frequently grow significantly taller than the ladders. These extensions work great and are perfect for tall plants.

Comments about Tomato Ladder Extensions, Set of 3:
Our tomatoes always grow 5-6 feet tall and sprawl over the tops of the cages and ladders. These extensions will allow us to keep the plants neatly in place and prevent the plants from falling over or breaking.

Comments about Tomato Ladder Extensions, Set of 3:
Let's just say the jury is still out on these ladders. Every year my biggest tomatos grow well beyond the classic cages and make a tomato forest for me to dig through for fruit. The extension design is poor in that you MUST use the them at the BEGINNING of the planting season and AT THE BOTTOM of the ladder instead of adding them as needed to the top. This give you 84 inch ladders on 1 foot plants. It looks silly to say the least. I will reserve the rest of my opinion for the end of this year's season but let's just say they aren't off to a real good start!
Comments about Tomato Ladder Extensions, Set of 3:
a must have
Comments about Tomato Ladder Extensions, Set of 3:
your tomato feed compound made this sale necessary. the original tomato supports needed the extentions
Comments about Tomato Ladder Extensions, Set of 3:
It's about time you guys figured out that indeterminate tomato vines can grow over 4 ft (TEASING). I use the 4 ft ones without the extention for my polbano peppers. It's too early just yet to see how they hold up, but they certainly feel sturdy now.
I have made some custom tomato trellises that are even larger and wider than your largest for my most vigorous vines (SuperFantastic, First Lady, etc).
This is truely a great product if you grow 'em big like I do in the Midwest!
The tomato ladders are the source of much garden envy in my community garden plot. I should get a kick-back for recommending them to the other 50 gardeners in the community garden!
Thanks for great industrial-strength tomato products.

Comments about Tomato Ladder Extensions, Set of 3:
The original tomato ladders are great but could be a little taller. The extensions seem to be the best solution.
Comments about Tomato Ladder Extensions, Set of 3:
These are a must to go with your tomato ladders. I have heirloom tomatoes, so my tomato plants get really tall. Mine have already reached the top with the ladder and the extension. They still support my beloved tomatoes very well.
Comments about Tomato Ladder Extensions, Set of 3:
All the years that I have been using the tomato ladders I had been wishing they were much taller.
You did it, came up with a solution! It's early spring, but I don't see how these extensions can fail!
Comments about Tomato Ladder Extensions, Set of 3:
I had to provide additional support for the tomato ladder. The dirt was so soft that it would fall over. They are made very well and the material is very heavy duty. I'm sure they will last a long time.

Comments about Tomato Ladder Extensions, Set of 3:
I asked and asked for taller tomato ladders since the original ones were not quite tall enough for my out of control tomatoes. These are definitely helping to keep my tomato plants growing up instead of down across the rest of vegetable garden.
Comments about Tomato Ladder Extensions, Set of 3:
Each year we grow lots of tomatoes. I bought the extensions because I already have tomato ladders and thought it would be nice to be able to use them for my indeterminate tomatoes. I expect they will work fine.

Thank you for listening to your cutomer's comments! I love the ladder's but most of my tomtoes grew right over the top and then flopped over. I put my plants in on April 1st and it is very easy to slip the wall-o-waters over top of the extensions and then fill them.

These add versatility to the standard ladders. (See separate review for those.) It's much easier to have a coordinating extension that works well with a basic product, than having to cobble together a makeshift solution to support a very tall plant, especially one that unexpectedly grows to a great height. These are sturdy and stong--I'll get many years of use from these!

Comments about Tomato Ladder Extensions, Set of 3:
I purchased regular tomato ladders last year. The ladder "extensions" I purchased this year are much lighter (cheaper) construction, with chipped paint and obvious rust.
