Comments about A-Frame Support:
My vines have started to grow up it. I'm waiting to see if it will hold the weight of the watermelons and cukes as they grow. It seems very durable, though, and I have high hopes! I'm very pleased with how easily it set up. And the netting ties to it very well. It increased the space in my fenced garden so I could plant more veggies.
Comments about A-Frame Support:
While i like the concept, the poles are flimsy, the inserts are not holding up. I intend to place webbing over the poles for lightweight vegetables, but I'm concernd that even the slightest weight will cause the poles to collapse. I would have preferred something with small hinges to keep poles more aligned. I'm constantly adjusting the poles as they keep shifting from their own weight. Placing poles deeper into the soil improves situation. Would not have purchased it if seen beforehand.
Comments about A-Frame Support:
climber beans and squash, hope it will hold such heavy vines
Comments about A-Frame Support:
I was excited about getting this for my cucumbers, but it wasn't clear that it didn't have any netting with it. When I received it I was very disappointed to learn that I would have to spend more money on netting, so I haven't been able to put the frame up yet.
Comments about A-Frame Support:
Helps to manage small space gardening.
Comments about A-Frame Support:
I love it. I use with the invisible net, and my snap peas are climbing. I will be trying it on my cucumbers later in the season. So little space, so much growing!
Comments about A-Frame Support:
Wow! I was surprisingly disappointed with this! It IS, as others have already commented, not really as pictured. It is flimsy and wildy overpriced, and should have come with netting...and directions. It made me wish for my old wood frame. If I had seen it first, I would have gone with Plan B.
Comments about A-Frame Support:
Got this in a box with no instructions or pictures. Me and my engineering friend, with a combined 18 years of higher education in the sciences, could not figure out how to put the thing up. It fell every time, and was flimsy. She is an avid master gardener and I am a beginner. The thing resides in my garage in a pile and will go to a garage sale.
Comments about A-Frame Support:
This is mis represented in the add . It doesn't even look like the add . I plan to use string .There is no place to tie on the top . I will have to use duct tape to secure and no place to anchor at the ground. My husband will have to create something. This did not save me work.I doubt if I will do business with you again.

Comments about A-Frame Support:
i just installed this - supposed to be used to support melons, but i think that it will have a hard time doing that if the melons get larger in size. time will tell though.
Comments about A-Frame Support:
Item way overpriced and very flimsy. NOT impressed. [...] netting should have been included!!
Comments about A-Frame Support:
I'm looking forward to using the trellis to support my cucumbers.
Comments about A-Frame Support:
So far it's fine. Took a bit of wrangling to get all the pieces to stand together, but I was doing it solo - I think it would be easy to set up with a helper.
Comments about A-Frame Support:
This purchase was my second round as I found I needed more coverage for my garden. Product is sturdy enough that it's going to get many years of garden use. Planning to expand the garden so will probably purchasse more A-Frames.
Comments about A-Frame Support:
sent this back! very flimsy, picture was deceptive...no way to anchor it down in windy regions. I can't imagine it holding melons or squash! [...]too bad I will probably not order from this company again
Comments about A-Frame Support:
This A-frame will be exactly what I need for my snap peas... I only wish it was longer- I need to order one more!
Comments about A-Frame Support:
Rediculously overpriced! The poles are nothing more than large garden stakes that you can buy at [...] for under 3 bucks!

Comments about A-Frame Support:
not worth the price - very basic and a little flimsy - top cross bar does not stay in clips and will pop out too easily. For the price netting should be included
Comments about A-Frame Support:
Great for starting peas in a small veggie garden. Lettuces are growing comfortably underneath while peas are starting. Unfortunately, the unit top is a specific length which was just about 8" too long for the space I intended. It should have an adjustable pole and would then be a perfect tool.
Comments about A-Frame Support:
Very space saving
Comments about A-Frame Support:
This product was flimsy and not durable. It did not perform as expected. We ended up taking it apart and using it for plant stakes.

Comments about A-Frame Support:
There were no directions on how to put the frame together. It was easy to install, but doesn't seem that sturdy, but too early for me to tell since it hasn't gone through wind or rain. The idea is great.

Comments about A-Frame Support:
I don't know how to use it (no instructions included), picture is desceiving to include some sort of net...not sure what to use for that.
Basically I received a few poles. I would love to return them, but don't want to spend more money (inluding the original $10 shipping) to send them back.
I'm not sure I'll ever buy anything from this company again-I'm that disappointed in the product.
Comments about A-Frame Support:
This really helps get the plants up off the ground
Comments about A-Frame Support:
Great support for plants. Especially like the way it keeps cukes off of the ground..they grow straight! Simply love this frame. Gave one to all my gardener buddies for Christmas.

Comments about A-Frame Support:
I thought this was a really good idea, but the design is not good. It keeps falling over.
[0 of 1 customers found this review helpful]
Comments about A-Frame Support:
Very difficult to stack two together, which you need to do for the height for peas. We never did get it completely together - just enough to be functional (and my husband is an Engineer). It does work, though not as sturdy as it should be.
[1 of 1 customers found this review helpful]
Comments about A-Frame Support:
When ordering this a net was offered,so I realized the net was not included. I set it up,once the cross bar was in place,I took twine and tied it across and from the top of the frame to the bottom cross line...no biggie. The cukes climbed nicely, they hung down and were easy to harvest. Left more room for zukes and acorn squash. Good idea. Happy gardener.
Comments about A-Frame Support:
I had trouble getting these to ever be stable. Not matter what I did, they wanted to fall down, and by the time the squash climbed on them, they were collapsing. I liked that they were tall, but beyond that, I wasn't impressed.
[1 of 2 customers found this review helpful]
Comments about A-Frame Support:
The A frame support is a bit flimsy and I don't like that I have to add my own twine. So after setting this up you need to then figure out how to rig a set-up of twine across each of the supports to create your own "cage" so the cucumbers, etc can grow. This was way over priced and not what I expected. You can easily build your own contraption for much cheaper to support the vegetables you need supports for.
[2 of 3 customers found this review helpful]
Comments about A-Frame Support:
No instructions provided. Can't get the unit to to be as stable as preferred. Feels/looks more like a "home grown" solution than a "field tested/proven" solution. Not as 'turnkey' as I hoped/expected.
Comments about A-Frame Support:
The catalog should have been more clear about the need to purchase netting with the A frame. Great product however.
Comments about A-Frame Support:
I am looking forward to watching my cukes and squash shimmy up this clever item. Also, feeling pretty smart about the easy storage for the winter.
Comments about A-Frame Support:
I missed that the netting was not included, that is a negative. It was easy to set up. I'll see how it lasts as the season is just beginning. I'm reserving my judgement , right now I would recommend with reservations. And let them know that it does not come with netting.
Comments about A-Frame Support:
I AM USING THIS TO GROW MELONS. SO FAR, SO GOOD. IT LOOKS NEAT IN THE GARDEN AND WAS EASY TO PUT UP.
Comments about A-Frame Support:
Works well with cukes, and melons.
Comments about A-Frame Support:
It's way too flimsy; we'll be lucky if it supports the cucumbers for an entire season.
Comments about A-Frame Support:
I bought the A-frame for my cucumbers. It was easy to put together and mount in the garden. It was help me to save space in my garden.
Comments about A-Frame Support:
So far I have not been impressed. The frame does not stay up very well on it's own. I had to tie it together so it wouldn't fall apart.I have the legs a good 6 inches into the ground and it still is rather shaky. It is more stable with the netting in it. I am slightly worried that it may fall under the weight og my veggies.
Comments about A-Frame Support:
The trellis was very easy for one person to set up. It is sturdy enough for my cucumber plants (3-1 for each pole), but very light weight to carry to the garden. I also like that it will be easy to store and will be used year after year.
Comments about A-Frame Support:
I was looking for a lightweight frame to be used in conjunction with netting to provide support for my cukes, etc. I think this one fills the bill nicely and I'll be able to use it for years to come.

Comments about A-Frame Support:
I was very disappointed in this product. The catalog description says 'steel'. However, the poles and clips are really all cheap plastic. It doesn't have the strength to support anything.
We ended up modifying it by adding woven wire panels to each side and wiring them in place.
We would have been better off making our own support.I never would have ordered this if it had been accurately depicted and described correctly. Don't waste your money on this piece of junk.

Comments about A-Frame Support:
This is the only thing I've ordered from Gardeners that I have not been happy with. Frankly, it sucks beyond redemption.Exceedingly flimsy. Could barely get it to stand upright. Every time you got one end to stand up the other end would fall out from under it or close. If you got both ends to stand up the middle didn't have both feet on the ground.I ended up putting two layers of mesh netting on it and using extra long earth staples to anchor it into the ground by the ends of the mesh netting. It's upright now...but still sways like a drunk.I bought two. [...] If it weren't so much trouble to take down the one I actually got up, I'd send it back, too.I hope Gardeners will purge this product from inventory and never advertise it again.

Comments about A-Frame Support:
very sturdy "A" frame support. You don't need tools or instructions. You WILL need to add your own netting or mesh support for your veggies & twist ties to hold it in place.
Very well built for the price.
Frame support to the far right side.
Comments about A-Frame Support:
Primarily Green Beans
Durable,Functional and Attractive
Comments about A-Frame Support:
The idea is sound, but the poles are light enough that they easily blew over in a liht windstorm. I have them lashed together with twine, but overall I am disappointed. The poles did not even come with instructions for optimal use.
Comments about A-Frame Support:
I purchased 2 of these A-frame trellises for use in my garden with my melons this summer. I've been using them for about 3-4 weeks and the vines are growing up as expected and the melons are hanging as they grow. This product has allowed me to to take a smaller space and make it much more usable for plants that generally need way more room to grow. The material used is sturdy, yet lightweight and will store very easliy between seasons. What a space saver!
Comments about A-Frame Support:
I wound up using it as stakes instead of an A-frame.
Comments about A-Frame Support:
Easy to assemble and lightweight but came apart in a moderate wind. Some extra support where the poles snap together seems to have solved the problem.
Comments about A-Frame Support:
this is the only product I have ever purchased from this company that I have been disappointed with. Two of the 3 sets of poles that come attached to each other came a part and I could not fix them properly. I set it up the best i could, but do not expect it to stay standing once the veggies get large. I did not buy the netting, but created my own out of twine. Given the time that took, I would suggest that if you purchase this item, buy the netting too.
Comments about A-Frame Support:
First time user...hoping my squash grows vertical and takes up less room in my limited space. Easy to set up! Used it with the net.

Comments about A-Frame Support:
I really think that saying this is powdercoated steel is very misleading. This product is really plastic tomatoe stakes with a plastic clip on the end of 3 stakes so that the 4th stake can be attached to form an a-frame. Out of the box one clip was broken in half. If it weren't so difficult to send this back, I'd send it back. But here I am out [$] dollars for worthless china made junk.
[1 of 1 customers found this review helpful]
Comments about A-Frame Support:
It came with no instructions. Four similar length poles. Three you unfold and the fourth you clip into the middle of the unfolded poles creating the top of the A-frame. A clip broke even as I tried to ease the cross pole into the third peak clip. Ended up using grey tape. Don't know how much cucumber or squash weight it will support. Not worth returning. Didn't anticipate cheap PLASTIC clips. How many seasons will that last?

Comments about A-Frame Support:
Used to Trellis zucchini and summer squash. Picture was deceiving as product for plants to intertwine thru must be added.
Comments about A-Frame Support:
This would be a good product if you didn't have to assemble it and also if you're willing to buy the net that is an additional 15 dollars every year. I'd rather buy the wire frame support and never have to spend another dime and also not have to reassemble every time I want to use it.
Comments about A-Frame Support:
I am going to use this for the cucumbers to climb on in my garden. It will save a lot of space since I have a small garden and it will also be much easier to find the cucumbers.
Comments about A-Frame Support:
Easy to put up, take down.

Comments about A-Frame Support:
This product is basically tomato stakes with some plastic connectors at the top. You could buy the stakes at your local hardware store and use 8" cable ties as fasteners. Either way you still have to provide the wire that is not shipped with the product.
Comments about A-Frame Support:
The A-frame is very versatile - useful for any viney type vegetable. Practical because it can be used year after year and storage is not a problem.

Comments about A-Frame Support:
This a-frame is great. It's easy to set up and made sturdy. We"re positive it will withstand the weight of the vegetables growing up the netting that we put on it. Saves a lot of garden space too. Can't think of a negative thing to say about it. Will use it many years to come, I'm sure.

Comments about A-Frame Support:
It was not what I expected. Very Flimsy and Difficult to use. I would not recommend this to anyone. I was very disappointed.
Comments about A-Frame Support:
So far so good with this but it's early in the growing season. I DO wish this just came with the netting. Very odd that it doesn't yet really requires that item. It seems a little unsturdy but might be fine. I would probably recommend this item from what I know so far, but would comment on it's weaknesses too.

Comments about A-Frame Support:
Well, I haven't actually used this product in the garden yet. However, I did put it together just to see what it looked like and I was impressed. It is a very simple design and I'm sure it will work out perfect for me. Was very easy to put together. It didn't come with instructions but I didn't need them. I can't wait to see if it holds all the gourds and little pumpkins I plan on growing on it!
Comments about A-Frame Support:
This frame is easy to install and looks nice in the yard. I used it for Cucumbers last year, and it worked very well. I purchased another one this year to grow more cumcumber this year. If it could be higher, it would be even better.
Comments about A-Frame Support:
Easy setup, can bear weight and distribute well--using it for peas and will use for cucumbers. Simple, blends in so doesn't look out of place while you are waiting for growth from the plants you are supporting with this.

I use this for wisteria to grow up and along.. good all around. Surprised how sturdy it is considering the windy climates.

Comments about A-Frame Support:
it was easy to use
Comments about A-Frame Support:
purchased to grow cucumbers; best crop of cucumbers we have had in 10 years; kept them off the ground with bountiful flowers and veggies; kept the "critters" from eating the cuke's.
Comments about A-Frame Support:
This support was larger than I expected, but still fit nicely in my raised bed garden. I was concerned that the wind would knock it down, but it was much sturdier than I imagined. I'm using it to support cucumbers on one side, pumpkins on the other, with lettuce underneath. I'm very satisfied with it.
Comments about A-Frame Support:
Very frustrating to set up. Did not serve it's purpose very well.
Comments about A-Frame Support:
I ordered two sets of supports and had to combine the two in order to have adequate support for my cucumber vines. Too expensive for what I got!
Comments about A-Frame Support:
Awkward to use, not much for the money. I could have built something myself for much cheaper. Live and learn.
Comments about A-Frame Support:
I ordered the "A" frame and found out the net does not come with it. When I assembled it I must have used to much force and the center pole bent and cracked (of course made in china). I would reccomend this with some modifications
Comments about A-Frame Support:
this item was not what I had hoped for - the poles would not stay in the sockets provided - therefore it kept falling apart - so that made it useless for the purpose it was meant for - however, being a resourceful person - I am using the poles as stakes and making use of them to prop up some of my other plants. Sorry but this item is not well designed as described.

Comments about A-Frame Support:
Difficult to place in garden. Poles not very sturdy, concerned about long term (season after season) of wear and tear
Comments about A-Frame Support:
this item was very hard to set up, the legs kept falling off, I finly just set it a side and used something else.
Comments about A-Frame Support:
My squash were overrunning the lawn yesterday and I didn't have the netting yet. I pulled up the heavy vines and attached them with veggie ties. The frame was a little awkward to put up by myself, and the design was not what I expected, but it promises to support a heavy load of squash vines and fruit, especially with the netting. I pushed the stakes in 6 or 8 inches and it is very sturdy.
Comments about A-Frame Support:
This A-Frame support is perfect for supporting various climbing plants. I wish it was offered in various widths.
Comments about A-Frame Support:
Easy to set up and install; plants haven't gotten quite large enough yet for me to test functioning, but it looks as if it will function as I had hoped.
Comments about A-Frame Support:
I have a small 15 self watering container garden. I used this A-frame trellis in four of my containers to hold watermelon, cantelope, lima beans, and cucumbers. It has worked perfectly as described. It was easy to install and has held up through some very windy thunder storms we had. will defintly purchase more in the future when I expand my garden.
Comments about A-Frame Support:
This frame was easy to put together and fit right into my raised bed where I am growing cantaloupe. So far, I have 11 cantaloupe - eight of which are being supported by this frame with garden netting. Looking forward to having melons without buggy bottoms!
Comments about A-Frame Support:
The A frame does not stand up by itself. I had to use a fence to prop it against. I guess I could dig 6 holes in the ground for the legs, but you can't hammer them into the ground or you would break the plastic. It does not come with anything for the plants to climb up, so that was another expense. Next time I need something like this, it would be easier and cheaper to just buy netting and pound in stakes to staple the netting to.
Comments about A-Frame Support:
This comes in handy when growing cucumbers, or anything else that climbs, in a smaller space. I wish I would have read more carefully though, because the netting is ordered separately!
Comments about A-Frame Support:
We are using this product for Watermelons and pumpkins as advertized. The width of the product is fine but not very sturdy. The netting is good for items without much weight. I would like to see this design made with a stronger support system then netting. Design the A-Frame like the galvanized cucumber trellis this would be more effective and advantageous for the Gardner.
Comments about A-Frame Support:
This has turned out to be a rather flimsy piece in my garden. The rods fall out, don't stay attached ... and still have to add more to it to support the vines growing up. Would have been much better off with something else. If you do order, make sure you have wire
Comments about A-Frame Support:
Sets up in seconds
I hope it is sturdy enough to support the cucumbers I planted
Very easy to store during off season
Comments about A-Frame Support:
It looks metal in the photo, but it is green plastic.

Comments about A-Frame Support:
I wanted to use this in my raised beds for melons and cukes. It came without instruction and appeared too flimsy for my purposes. It needs to come with clips and netting for the price. It wouldn't fit where I needed it so it's of no use to me.

No instructions were included, so it was difficult to determine that a piece was missing. The "invisible" netting is white. Not very invisible & not attractive at all.
[1 of 1 customers found this review helpful]
Comments about A-Frame Support:
First off, I would suggest this item come with actual instructions. Mine did not, not even a card identifying it or anything. Also, I suggest tying up your string or whatever you choose to use prior to setting it in its semi-permanent space. Having an extra set of hands to help is also advisable. Item is sturdy when placed exactly right, but getting it there takes a bit of work. Check again after major winds or rain. It probably is not in exactly the same place you left it. Do not place where it could be bumped by yourself, others or animals, or you'll be constantly adjusting it to avoid dumping your plants on the ground! I don't yet know how it will handle the full weight of the plants bearing harvests. I just hope it can take it and still stand on its own.

Comments about A-Frame Support:
Just received it in the mail. It looks like good quality, but my only beef is that all you get is a 4 piece pole frame. The description of the item did not make it clear that you HAVE to buy netting to attach to it in order for it to work. Gardeners should have been more clear because it wasn't what I expected when I opened it. Regardless, once I buy netting I think it should work just fine.

I am very pleased with the design of this A-frame but I would recommend buying the netting that is available. I purchased some 4 x 4 lightweight fencing for my trellis and attached it with zip ties. It should last years and I can't wait to see my produce hanging on the inside for easy pickin'.
