I've used the tall tomato ladders for years. Those things are incredibly durable and work great. I can put 2-3 plants on a single ladder. The ladders help make great use of small planting spaces - everything goes vertical. Until this year, I have used extra tomato ladders for peppers, eggplant and squash, which never get that tall really, so I was essentially "wasting" the top half of the ladder. I think these half-size ladders are the perfect solution. Now I can devote all of the tall ladders to tomatoes.

I've been using the tomato ladders from Gardener's Supply company for the last several years, and when I found they made a smaller version for other veggies I was thrilled. I use these for pepper plants (bell and jalapeno). While they aren't essential for these plants, they provide good support in the event of a big storm or simply the plants getting too tall to support themselves well. I am using my vegetable ladders to support bell and jalapeno peppers in raised beds. As the plant gain height, the weight of the peppers rests on the "ladder rungs" keeping the plants well supported. The ladders also make the garden bed look more organized. and rather than the bed being take up with sprawling plants, I have room to plant companion veggies between my peppers!

I ordered a couple of sets this spring to try out on my peppers and eggplants. I tucked them around a few of my plants when I set out my seedlings and immediately appreciated how the plants stabilized and did not flop around as much in the wind, rain, or during watering. Well... I just got back from a short vacation, and the plants in the vegetable ladders are noticeably taller, sturdier, and even have thicker stems than the ones I had not laddered. These are the the best. Not only are the durable and effective (I've had some for 3 years), they make my my vegetable garden look great. Friends always ask me where I got them because my garden always looks organized and neat. Not an easy feat when growing vegetables.

I keep getting more of these sturdy supports, as I discover more ways to use them. Especially good for peppers and eggplants, both in the ground and in tubs. I'm hoping that the heavy wire will keep the critters from chomping away at the peppers. The taller supports are great for tomatoes, especially the cherry varieties, which I grow in tubs. The supports easily go into the soil, and look attractive in the tubs. I have also used these for the tall leggy geraniums that have wintered inside the house. Sometimes it is necessary to tie a piece of string across the open end of the support to keep the plant from "leaning out".

I love the ladders. I have raised beds for most of my vegetable garden and these ladders are perfect for the eggplants and the tomatoes. I don't have to tie the plants up so the plants develop stronger stems and support themselves. The stands support the leaves and fruit.

The only downside is that they are rigid so winter storage is just stacking them together.

I bought this product just for some small props, but found I use them for holding up peonies, any heavy tall flowers, tomatoes when they are just starting, now I am using them for holding up some lemon cucumbers. They don't usually travel too far. This year I have them in a pot on my deck. They store easily, keep clean and are not all that detectable among the leaves. I am a big fan of every product I have purchesed from Gardners.

This ladder is excellent for eggplant. It is super strong and the support legs don't bend when you push them into the ground. Where I live it is very windy and ladders I bought in the past would bend with the weight of the bush and the wind pushing against them. But not these, they stand straight and strong. These are very sturdy ladders and look nice in the garden. They will be great for holding up our eggplants so they don't flop over. They would work for any heavy vegetable too.

After searching the internet I decided on these vegetable ladders for my pepper plants. I had already purchased ladders for my tomoto plants. I love them-so much stronger than the cages & take up less space. I purchased them in red & they brighten up the garden. Well worth the money!

I am currently comparing your design to that of Burpee's. I tend to plant a lot of hot peppers so will have a better idea of which works better later. The shape of the design and the spacing is different. I thought from your description that it was going to be more robust than the ones from Burpee but they seem about the same.
Yours are more appealing to the eye, for sure!

I am using these for the first season. I have peppers, tomatoes and eggplants on them. They are easy to use, but I am afraid that they may not be tall enough for the veggies...

These are working out well for the smaller veggies in my garden. I hope as the plants get larger, that I will not have to tie them up as much. That always seems to damage them somehow. So, I hope these ladders will give my vegetables a longer growing season.

I used the regular tomato cage before and did not support well. I like this product much better. Much more durable and stronger support.

We tried these for bell peppers, instead of staking, to keep them up off the ground. Unfortunately, the v-shape of the ladder trapped most of the peppers as the were growing and the they grew around the rungs of the ladder. This made it nearly impossible to pick the peppers without breaking them.

Just a note, this was a garden that was attended to daily and I tried to guide the peppers around the rungs, but it just didn't work for us.

Vegetable ladders are much stronger than wire cages. They keep my vegetables upright and increase air circulation around the plants. They last much longer than wire cages and they don't bend out of shape. Plus, they are easy store.
