Wasn't sure how this would work since I do not have land to grow on. I live in the city and planted the asparagus in a half wine barrel. Based on the instructions, I only planted four so they would have room to grow. Everyone told me they would give me trouble but so far so good! They came in quickly and are healthy and hearty!
I did read that you should not really harvest in the first year (some people say first three years, since they can last up to twenty) so I am letting them go crazy.

Slower to begin growing than the Jersey verity; Plants are beginning to sprout; the first week saw little growth but appears now to be coming up.
