Caroline raspberries are an ever-bearing variety very similar to the Heritage raspberries we have offered, producing tasty, medium-sized, firm red berries from mid-summer into fall. They are disease-resistant, highly productive and easy-to-grow in zones 4 through 8. The plants will bear fruit the first year. A summer crop begins to ripen in late June. These raspberries come as bare root canes. We first planted them in individual pots to give them time to establish, then planted them in their permanent spot. We have been very pleased with the growth and hardiness of the plants. We intend to order 10 more next year.
