stuck these two in planters, they're looking leafy and healthy! I'm pretty sure I can't expect fruit for a couple of years, but hopefully they'll overwinter nicely. Very attractive plants
Comments about Columnar Apples, 2 Trees:
These compact columnar apple trees are great for small spaces. The company that ships them did a great job with packaging. Came in great shape. Started to grow leaves immediately after unpacking. Got some large light weight planters to plant them in, and have them in my small backyard. I can't wait until they blossom and bear fruit. Thanks for the great plants.

When they arrived I was not sure that these bare root (sticks) would do anything and even in this rainy miserable Spring they have come to life! They are growing beautifully and I am very excited. They are definitely a conversation piece, people can not believe that you can grow an apple tree in a pot on your deck!
Comments about Columnar Apples, 2 Trees:
Trees arrived bare root and in good health. Within days of planting, the trees started leafing out and within 1 week, they had flowers. Don't quite know when to expect apples. Trees look healthy and are doing their thing!

For interest and height in my garden and hopefully soon....delicious apples! Like it so much, I purchased as a Mother's Day gift.
Comments about Columnar Apples, 2 Trees:
I ordered these columnar trees because i wasn't sure i'd have the sun space for a full out tree. Especially, 2 of them. We planted them exactly as the instructions say and after only 4 days we had leaves - it's been a bit more than 2 weeks and the trees are thriving! The company was already out of stock when i called to order, but they hooked me up with ones from another wholesaler of theirs.

OMG! Everyone I know said you can't grow apple trees in Florida. WRONG! Honestly, I have to give a lot of credit to the self-watering planters I ordered from you (I know, I sound like a commercial). These columnar trees are on either side of my front door. As you suggested, I planted marigolds and chives around the trees. Beautiful. Thank you so much.
Comments about Columnar Apples, 2 Trees:
Ordered these as an "impulse purchase" together with the potato bins & potatoes, as I thought they'd be fun to have in our little garden, and so far so good! They've survived some nasty spring weather here in southern WV, and they're still alive!

Just purchased 2 columnar apple trees. They arrived in a timely manner, with the roots moist & ready to be planted. I followed the simple instructions & planted them in 2 big containers. Then I waited & it didn't take long before both trees started to bud. The golden is a bit faster than the red,but I hope to getting a few apples from my patio trees by next year. Great product!
P.S. they even give instructions on how to winterize the trees.

[...] They even had pretty white apple blossoms on them. Were easy to plant and have had excellent growth since planting in pots. I keep them on my back patio. They are a real conversation piece and I am looking forward to seeing fruit in the fall.

I bought these in 2008, and I planted them into pots (one pot for each). So far they are doing good this year (April 2009)... I already have flowers on the Golden Sentinel. The North Pole didn't seem to grow as much and doesn't have any leaves (yet). I hope to have apples this fall and I can't wait to taste them. Even though I don't have apples yet, I decided to write a review because if you are looking to buy this... sometimes reviews help. :-)
During the winter I stored them in our gazebo and didn't really water them too much. I did begin to water them early April and waited for the weather to break before I brought them outside.
They are very easy to take care of... and my neighbors keep asking me "what are those?".
I will write another review late summer/ early fall about the apples.
Oh I should mention too that it took about a year to see flowers. So if you plan on getting apples, you have to wait.
