I have only used this once and was not as impressed as i wanted to be. It does an OK job but i wanted it to be able to throw the water farther. And the noodle itself seems too light to lie properly on the ground. I had to use the spike to get it to stay even.

I needed something adjustable for a funny-shaped back garden, and this does the trick. The stake is a great idea to keep it in place. I'd hoped that the "noodles" would be a bit more flexible for even more precision, but it's ok.

Every year I buy a different kind of sprinkler. So far the "noodlehead" has performed very well. When using it in our vegtable garden it can be set low enough to just water the roots of the plants. This seem to work well. When watering the outdoor garden, I can direct the water just where I need it. So far, so good for the noodlehead.

I really like this sprinkler, as it assists me with watering irregularly shaped areas and helps conserve water by preventing runoff if I used a set pattern sprinkler. Be careful if your water supply has debris, because the nozzles can clog and then difficult to clean out. The stake threads into the base but can crack the base if overtightened. Be gentle. I just ordered another one to replace my cracked one because it was such a great tool.

I have hexagonal shaped raised beds, this works well for watering them. The only downside is the manufacturer wants you to leave it in place and buy another for each area you want to water, no that isn't going to happen. Yes, you would have to readjust it for different sized areas, not that difficult though.

Takes 5-10 minutes just to set it up for one area. not that large of an area either. If you have one for every spot, and could leave it set up, connected to a hose, this would be a great product.
I'm thinking a drip system would be better for that though.

This little sprinkler surprised me when I turned it on - quite a large amount of water flow! The only con was unlike an oscilating sprinkler which gives you a gap to run in to adjust it, this one is a constant flow so you definitely get wet! It is definitely nice to be able to adjust the nozzles to point the water exactly where you want it to go.

I like this product; I can adjust the nozzles as it waters without getting all wet if I'm spraying to the front and sides of my flower garden. And the birds just love flying in and out of it "taking their baths"!! The only thing I didn't like about it is the prong to stick in the ground doesn't stay in the ground when the soil is already wet; it falls down but I would definitely recommend this product for watering anything; I just use it on my flowers beds! My flowers are very happy after I water them with this noodlehead sprinkler; especially since it was the driest season we've had in this area for about18-20 years. Thanks Gardeners Supply!

I use the Noodlehead Sprinkler in a small garden area approximately 10 x 12 feet that contains many different plants and different kinds of plants, a walking path, a butterfly house, and a bird bath. I am able to aim the Noodlehead sprinkler so that it waters different areas in this randomly planted area. Best of all, it works to keep the plants happy and the Butterfly garden is beautiful!

This is a great little sprinkler. It puts water only where you want it so you don't waste gallons and gallons. It comes with a screen to block particles that could clog the sprinkler nozzles as well. You can buy a stand for it if you want to put it up above what you're watering.

I had another one of these for a few years and broke the stake on a tree root so I decided to buy 2 more. I have a very small yard and other sprinklers overshoot and just waste water. With this, you can position it anywhere you need to water. Just make sure if you have compacted dirt or tree roots you gently push it into the ground or the plastic stake will snap!

I use this in my small vegatable garden. Once I got it properly adjusted to cover my 12' x 12' garden space, I just left it in place for future waterings. Now, instead of holding the hose for valuable minutes, I can let the Noodlehead do its thing while I care for other chores in the back yard. Effective, and a great time saver.

I have a small (18' x 18') yard which is not square. I hoped the noodlehead sprinkler would prevent watering the concrete (patio seems like too generous a word!). It did, but I got wet adjusting it, and it didn't reach the borders of my yard. If I set it "noodles" to reach the outer edges of my lawn, there wasn't enough "noodles" to water near the sprinkler. I need to experiment with increasing the water pressure. It is rather light in weight, so I was glad it included a stake to keep it in place. The "noodles" were a little hard to bend -but that keeps them in place once they are right.

I am using my noodlehead to water my backyard and the side-of-the-house lawn. My backyard & lawn's have irregular/odd shape's. Water comes out rather forcefully. Bends don't stay as bent as I wanted. Toddler thought it was a toy..... Toddler and I ended up wetter than the garden and the neighbors enjoyed the "show..." Guess it might work better but I don't know when I'll have more time to commit to figuring it out.

This is really impractical for my 8 by 4 garden. I cannot adjust the "noodles" without getting drenched. If anyone moves the hose AT ALL, it messes up the alignment and I have to reset the whole thing. I'll be buying a $3 sprinkler from [...] to replace it.

Great pressure - much better than I expected. It's easy to aim the little "noodles" in whatever direction you need, and they stay put. This product definitely exceeded my expectaions!

This is a great product because it directs the water to where you want it to go instead of having the water spray everywhere. This cuts down on watering time. Especially important because we have a well with a pump and this also cuts down on the electricity costs to run the pump.
The only downside is you don't want to keep moving this to different areas as you have to readjust the nozzles each time. Best to have one for each hard to water area and this could get pricey.

This isn't a bad sprinkler for the price. However I was very suprised at how tiny it is. And while I liked the fact that the individual "noodles" could be moved to target certain areas of my lawn/garden, they didn't always stay. This is a fun product that can be adjusted for different shaped gardens. It can be a little messy to adjust--the water has to be on so you can tell where the spray will go, but in the summer that's not a big deal. It's easy to move around.

It's a great idea but really not practical unless you plan on setting it in one area and not moving it. It takes quite a while to get the "noodles" pointed in the right direction (you have to turn the water on and off to figure out if it's correct or else you'll get soaked in the process). If you have multiple sprinklers and just leave them in the same spot all the time it'd be perfect but that's not very practical for me.
Also the sprinkler is about the size of my palm, smaller than I'd originally expected.

I use them to water 3 smaller gardens. The nozzles are very precise and the amount of water, as well as coverage can be controled from the main faucer to the hose. I bought the noodle last year (maybe even earlier?) and used it religiously for those hard to water places. Although I agree that the noodles are not so easy to adjust (particularly because you have to have the water ON when doing it), I thought it did a more than respectable job. Until this year. When I went to use it the first time this season, a little leak had sprouted at the base of one of the noodles. No big deal, I thought, duct tape to the rescue. No such luck. Several other leaks have sprung. I'm really fed up with products that last no more than a season - this is one of many I've purchased from various vendors over the years that has failed just beyond warranty or after limited use. I'm more than happy to take responsibility for products that break or wear out prematurely because of my abuse, but this was not the case. I handled the noodles carefully, always put it away in a safe place, and really did appreciate its usefulness while it lasted.

This is a fantastic product. You point the nozzles to aim anywhere you want the water to go. You don't waste water on the foliage, which should also reduce the mildew and various other diseases that result when you water an entire plant. The noodlehead makes it easy to water only the roots. My husband & I are avid gardeners & have flower beds,shrubs & perennial beds everywhere on the property. I had a plant business for 18 years that I ran from home so I've done my share of watering & maintenance. Upon receiving this sprinkler, I thought there is no way this is going to water efficiently. WRONG! It does just that. I have an irregular-shaped hydrangea bed and with this sprinkler, I can water all corners by just bending each noodle in the direction I want the water to go. It's perfect for spots of lawn that need tending to, as well. I think I'll get a second one for my vegetable garden...great product!

I have a mixed garden (think English Cottage type) with flowers needing lots of water close to ones that are not so thirsty. Add to that the odd rose bush or two that can't take overhead watering and it becomes a real problem. I use the Noodlehead Sprinkler to direct the water exactly where I want it. My only concern is durability - it's too soon to tell but I'm not sure the noodles will hold up when frequently being bent in different directions. But it works great, even on the awkard lawn areas.

I use it to water the flower and shrubs around my house. I especially love the ability to provide directional spray. Another great use is to put in a kiddie pool and let it spray a gentle spray. Provides great fun and enjoyment on a hot day for my dogs.

This product better in theory than in practice. The individual jets don't stay where you try to position them, and the jets each project a small amount of water. The sprinkler head doesn't sit upright by itself--I have to weigh it down with rocks.

Even though we have great water pressure here, the spray does not go the 40 feet as described. It could also have to do with the mature yard we put it in. It would have been better to have taller spikes available, I would have purchased them. It does a really nice job of getting water where I want it to go, and I do love the spike that helps anchor it in place.

We use the noodle to water certain spots where we have plantings and it is pretty good for that. When the lawn gets mowed it tends to lose the settings and has to be set-up again so it's not too convenient for what we are doing.

"The Noodle" may look funny, but there is nothing funny about the way it works. We put it in our flower bed, and aimed the nozzles where we wanted the water to go and it works great. We even have one nozzle aimed to water a hanging basket I have on a shepherds hook in the middle of the garden & that plant has never looked better. We put it on a timer, and just set it and forget it. It's also quite beautiful to look at when it is on. No more forgetting to water the flowers either...

I bought this for an outdoor area that I started that is spread out. I didn't want to take the time to move the sprinkler several times and water un-needed areas. This works incredibly well specifically for that. I will admit that it took a few tries to get the noodles at the perfect angle to get what I was after but now - wow ! - 1 sprinkler, 30 min and done with no moving it or changing the angle to get that little bit here or there. With water always being at a premium where I live - no waste is excellent!!!

This will be a handy little sprinkler for irregular sections of the lawn. I had originally purchased it for my perennial shade border, but either portions of the border were too close to the sprinkler and I couldn't effectively water those sections or other sections were too far away to receive water. With that being said I am going to keep it because it seems its forte will be more suited to other irregular areas of my lawn. I found it super easy to adjust and using the stake gave it firm support. I probably would have preferred it if the spray of water was a bit mistier.

I really like this sprinkler for its ability to have each nozzle be adjusted, and therefore cut down on wasted water. It also cuts down on the number of times I have to move the hose, since usually I have the hose down really low and move it from small area to small area (to avoid wasting water); this way I can point each nozzle where I want it and leave the hose in one place for the duration of watering a larger area. We put the sprinkler on a timer, and now watering the area for which we use it is a breeze.

This sprinkler is pretty cool for watering odd-shaped beds of plants without also watering everything else around. I have a long narrow bed of hostas that I had to water by hand, but the noodlehead is adjustable to water that bed without hitting the house next to it. The noodles are not as flexible as I had thought they would be -- they want to spring back to their original location -- but after fiddling with it a bit, I got it to work. It's better than standing there watering by hand!

This is the greatest little sprinkler. It can be adjusted to water even the most awkward areas. It also conserves water by watering only the areas that need it; no more sidewalk or street watering! I purchased the Noodle to water my gardens. It is inefficient to place it in the midst of a garden that has bushes or taller plants as the branches and leaves block the water and thus it does not water gardens efficiently. Placing it at the edge of the garden means watering areas that don't need water,like sidewalks and driveways, in spite of its advertised flexibility. For lawn watering or gardens with plants no higher than 3-4" it is perfect. I would not recommend it for any other gardens.

It does what it says it will do. Easy to use and you can direct your water spray where you want. The weight of the hose at the bottom of the sprinkler won't allow it to sit flat on the ground. It wants to tip or turn. Annoying but it's a clever device.

Our front yard is just beds (no grass), so we're very specific about where the water goes - otherwise, we end up watering the steps/driveway/other hardscapes. This sprinkler allows us lots of flexibility and prevents that waste. The only downside is that the "noodles" are a bit difficult to point exactly where you want, so you have to push a bit past where you want, then it will "rebound" a bit. We are about to order more - great product.

Water conservaton is important out West. In my mind the best form of conservation is to use water exactly where you need it, and Noodlehead makes it easy. Besides giving you complete control, it delivers a relatively coarse stream of water, which eliminates a lot of evaporation, yet doesn't smash seedlings.

A flow control valve would make it even better, instead of fussing at the faucet.

I bought these to water our lawn, but their chief selling point -- their precise directionality -- is also their chief downfall. The spouts are *so* directional that any patch of lawn that isn't a target never gets wet at all!
