Comments about Rainwater Urn, 65 Gallon:
This looks great in the front of my house. I plant flowers in the top. I recommend you drill some drainage holes in the planter. I use the water every day to water my potted plants.
Comments about Rainwater Urn, 65 Gallon:
Seemed big at first, but looks great now that plants and trees have leafed out. Spigot is very convenient.
Comments about Rainwater Urn, 65 Gallon:
It is pleasing to the eye, works gret for plants and garden, a real conversational piece. Great idea!!
Comments about Rainwater Urn, 65 Gallon:
Wonderful for use in our hot, dry summers! Attractive enough to install in the front of the house as well as in the back yard.
Comments about Rainwater Urn, 65 Gallon:
These are just beautiful. So far, they have survived their first Arizona Summer and winter.

Comments about Rainwater Urn, 65 Gallon:
Great urn. Spout was very hard to install without damaging the plastic insert in the urn. Had to throw away the spout and get a new one with better treads. Needs lower nipple to allow urn to urn hook ups. Urn screen needs lift hook for observation inside.
Comments about Rainwater Urn, 65 Gallon:
Wanted a rain barrel and wanted something that didn't stand out. This fit the bill. Attractive and I looking forward to using the planting area to soften the look even more.
Comments about Rainwater Urn, 65 Gallon:
This is the 3rd Urn I've bought my Dad for collecting rainwater in Arizona. The 1st one is now 4 years old, and still looks as nice as the newest one. The sun hasn't managed to eat THIS container material! I am impressed.
Comments about Rainwater Urn, 65 Gallon:
Had to cut away excess plastic "flashing" around the opening before we could get the faucet in. Manufacturer could do a better job of making sure parts fit before sending to consumer. A lot of water comes off roof and we just let excess flow thru hose from spout and hose thru bottom into our sewer drain from the house. Works really well.

Comments about Rainwater Urn, 65 Gallon:
For the price of these barrels you think the hose and spout would be of a better quality material than what they are.

Comments about Rainwater Urn, 65 Gallon:
I wrote a review shortly after receiving this product that was full of praise (not sure how I can adjust one I already did so I am writing a new one) While I do think that from a distance that this rain barrel is attractive (actually have had neighbors compliment it and ask where I bought it so they could get one) it is poorly made. The material is plastic like, which is fine- it looks more like terra cotta from a distance so it looks nice, but both the spout and the hose have broken in less than 3 months of use! The spout is clearly just hot glued in the unit. It worked fine for about a month, but the screw became stripped and now you cannot open it to get water. All was well because it had a hose that had a black plastic piece on it that you can open the hose with to disperse water. Well that was nice until that also broke off! Now the only way I can get the water out from it is by unscrewing the hose nozzle and then holding the hose above the water line to put it back on. Overall, I am happy with being able to collect water to water my plants, but watering them due to the poor quality has become a project again!
Comments about Rainwater Urn, 65 Gallon:
I was amazed at how much water we collected in the first rainstorm - over 65 gallons! Perfect for watering outside containers and filling up the birdbaths!
Comments about Rainwater Urn, 65 Gallon:
All the features on this product work very well; it is well designed.
Comments about Rainwater Urn, 65 Gallon:
Finally, a large, functional, easy to use rain barrel that is attractive!
Comments about Rainwater Urn, 65 Gallon:
This rain barrel is very attractive and blends well with landscaping. It has been very useful during this hot and dry summer, a life saver for our flowers! We did not have to use our well water for flower bed watering, which was a plus! Great investment.
Comments about Rainwater Urn, 65 Gallon:
This is a quite atractive rain water barrel. The terracotta look fits into a lot of decors and the design works. The only slight complaint is that here in the east I'd prefer something a bit bigger.

Comments about Rainwater Urn, 65 Gallon:
I bought one of these for my husband for a gift.Within a week of using, the spigot broke. [...] SECOND one sent leaked at seams. SOO SOOOOO DISSAPPOINTED.[...] product has quality issues.
Comments about Rainwater Urn, 65 Gallon:
The hose works very well and does not leak or drip, with easy to use valve. Planter at the top is a nice feature, and we like the graceful lines. The material it's made from is strong and looks like terra cotta (a little deeper color than the photo). The plants like the rainwater from the urn!
Comments about Rainwater Urn, 65 Gallon:
It holds enough water to satisfy all my houseplants that spend the summer outside on the porch. The entire village is envious of my beautiful rain barrels. The neighbors stop to talk now rather than hurrying by on their errands.
The most difficult thing was to find a runoff hose and where to place it.
Comments about Rainwater Urn, 65 Gallon:
Will be buying two more...saved on my water bill.

Comments about Rainwater Urn, 65 Gallon:
We also bought, a year later, the rain diverter. I had to re-paint the diverter white to match the gutters as it came green. Since I have to store the rain barrel in the winter I did not want my gutter just cut off and winter rains flooding next to the house. So, it stood there for a year just looking like a piece of cool garden art.
I believe the diverter will remain and I will be able to allow the rain to continue out the gutter that runs away from the house foundation.
At present the rain barrel still fills up fast even though it's large. It then proceeds to leak out the back relief hole where the diverter hose connects and runs down along the foundation which I don't want.
So, I have to empty the barrel sometimes sooner than I would like even when the surounding plants don't need water.
Also, when the rain diverter is used it bypasses the filter screen and therefore a lot of roof debris collects in the bottom of the barrel...try cleaning that! I look like Winnie the Pooh stuck in the honey jar! But because it is light weight I can tip it over with ease.
I still like its good looks and have been given many compliments as it sits at the front of my home for all to see!
I hope these comments help GS require a better design from their vendor.
Comments about Rainwater Urn, 65 Gallon:
I've had this urn setup for over a month and have found very useful tips in the reviews. I wanted to share my experience on my blog so I wrote an article on it with before and after pictures. My blog is at greenfreak.net (greenfreak dot net)
I have emptied it twice and I do like it so far, but do have some challenges with it.
Comments about Rainwater Urn, 65 Gallon:
I've been wanting to get a rain barrel for quite a while, but the only options here in the midwest seemed to be electric blue plastic whiskey barrels. The Rainwater is not only functional, it's a lovely enhancement to my garden. Thank you Gardener's Supply Company! Just this evening, a neighbor told me how much she enjoys seeing it out her window.

Comments about Rainwater Urn, 65 Gallon:
I ordered this rain barrel and installed it last month - I love it. It is good-looking enough to sit on my patio, but holds so much water that I have yet to come close to running out. I just ordered a second flat-back rain barrel for behind my garage for additional rain capacity.
Comments about Rainwater Urn, 65 Gallon:
This is far more attractive than most rain barrels and if you need yours
where it can be easily seen, it's look is an improvement. However, not all water catches are for downspouts. If the urn opening was wider
and had a net lid that rested inside the lip of the urn the water would
catch more efficiently and be suitable for downspouts and canales and
roof run off. That's my suggestion.
Comments about Rainwater Urn, 65 Gallon:
Will help relieve my guilt about watering my plants during dry periods.
Comments about Rainwater Urn, 65 Gallon:
Looks so much better than those black barrels and the flower pot on top adds to its asthetic value. Wish there was a better way to reroute the water once it is full - before it floats the flowers out of the pot! Perhaps some type of float or overflow valve that would take the water out and away from the house.

Comments about Rainwater Urn, 65 Gallon:
The urn has a large capacity, looks good and is easy to use. The hose is a bit short and becomes inflexible after a year or two. Do not let it freeze as it will split like a ripe melon. Prior to winter, drain and store upside down. Unfortunately when stored this way you will not be collecting rain water in early spring or late fall and must divert it away from the building foundation.

Should tell customer that the barrel should be elevated about 12 " from areas that you want to water.

Comments about Rainwater Urn, 65 Gallon:
As soon as you open the box warnings appear to wash your hands after touching the barrel due to cancer causing chemicals in the plastic. The faucet is very cheap and flimsy. Upon attempting to screw the faucet into the barrel, I discovered that the hole is at the wrong angle and the screw thread on the barrel was stripped. Plastic coupling for the hose connector also flimsy and leaks. [...] this would be returned.

I have had passersby ask about the barrels. Even my house insurance agent took photos which he posted in his office!

I have even linked the overflow to extra 65 gallon trash cans.

Comments about Rainwater Urn, 65 Gallon:
The item is large, so consider its placement wisely. The top tray did not have drain holes so water collected as did mosquito larvae - a situation easily correct with a drill. The drain spigot and hose attachments are not of good quality and easily upgraded. Now for the part that won't get printed... After ordering I found the exact same item on [...]for $50 less!

Comments about Rainwater Urn, 65 Gallon:
This rain barrel solved a problem I had with water running out of my gutter. By attaching it to a downspout on my gutter, water is collected and I have been using it to water flowers and newly planted grass seed. It is the perfect size and the spout works really well. The only drawback is that the hose doesn't have enough pressure to make it worthwhile.

Comments about Rainwater Urn, 65 Gallon:
We love this barrel. We have it in our front yard. Here in San Diego we need to conserve water and this barrel has perked the interest of our neighbors and friends. Once the rain stops, our plants will continue to enjoy the nutrient-rich rain water.

Comments about Rainwater Urn, 65 Gallon:
I purchased the Rain Barrel to conserve water. I use it to water my plants around the house. I also used it to soften the stark corner of my house, so it adds an aesthetic touch to my yard. I have had problems with water from the downspouts coming into the basement when it rains, now I just collect the rain and if I have too much I hook a hose to it and drain the rainwater away from the house and into my flower beds. One of the things I really like about it is that there was very little assembly and it connects into the downspouts easily.

Comments about Rainwater Urn, 65 Gallon:
I spend quite a bit for my veggie plants and flowers and I think rain water is better for them, it helps on my water bill as well. We live in Louisiana and do have drought times, this will help then as well. The only thing I didn't like was the cheap faucet that came with it, the handle stripped within the first couple of weeks of use. Had to purchase a better one at the hardware store, now I am back in business.

Comments about Rainwater Urn, 65 Gallon:
OK looking but at this price, I expected it to come with a better faucet, came with a pot metal faucet that had no threads, had to go to local hardware store to replace. Also came without an overflow tube - had to buy that also.
Comments about Rainwater Urn, 65 Gallon:
The neighbors were delighted with the look & curious about the weight as they thought it was real clay.
Comments about Rainwater Urn, 65 Gallon:
Love this product! I use this around the outside of the house to water my plants that are in pots. When we have hot dry months I plan to use it to water my plants around the yard. It has already collected water that I have started to use. The design looks wonderful against the house. Not like a gallon drum from the street. The neighbors have remarked that it is very attractive.
Comments about Rainwater Urn, 65 Gallon:
Have used this barrel for over 1 year w/o issue. Best looking one on the market.
Comments about Rainwater Urn, 65 Gallon:
It is on my deck to collect the water that previously flooded the deck. It was easy to drill the holes to make the planter in the top usuable. It is large and out there -- but several friends have commented on its attractiveness
Comments about Rainwater Urn, 65 Gallon:
This is great for watering plants in the house and in pots. My plants love not having tap water and so do my vegetables. It is very easy to fill a watering can from it's spiket but the hose doesn't work well. I loved it so much I bought a secound one

Comments about Rainwater Urn, 65 Gallon:
Looks great, holds a large amount
For the price, I would have expected it to be complete; I wasted many trips to the big home stores, plumbers, etc. looking in vain for the 1.5 inch flexible tubing . . . I finally found it at a pool supply store.

Comments about Rainwater Urn, 65 Gallon:
Living in an earthquake state, I'd like the dual purpose of both summer watering and a potable supply should an earthquake emergency arise. The plastic is not safe for use for drinking water (even with the addition of sanitizing tablets in the emergency) due to the leaching of plastics; comes with the warning but not identified as such in the catalog. Thus, I have a hefty return postage fee in addition to the extra mailing fee when ordered.

Great product with only one booboo, it really needs a decent brass hose bib. I went out and bought one and tossed the one that came with the urn into the garbage.
Comments about Rainwater Urn, 65 Gallon:
It was a gift to a master gardener friend. And she loves it! The area that allows a plant on top is a nice added feature. The 65 gallon size will support alot of savings on the water bill.

Comments about Rainwater Urn, 65 Gallon:
This is a great product, well made and easy to install. The only CON is the "planter" area at the top. This area is NOT acceptable to plant in as there is no drain and the plants would get root rot for standing in water. It seems the only thing this area will do is provide a mosquito breeding ground.
Comments about Rainwater Urn, 65 Gallon:
I bought the rain barrel as a Christmas gift for my daughter - she has a well and wanted this to add to her water supply. In the bitter cold here this winter she hasn't yet set it up but is really looking forward to using it. It is attractive and I like the idea of being able to sit a plant in it. Also, it's lightweight which is a nice feature.

Comments about Rainwater Urn, 65 Gallon:
This works very well. I can get my watering can under the faucet to fill it or use the hose from underneath to water the nearby garden. the hose does not leak at the connection to the earn like other models. I brought it in for the winter.
Comments about Rainwater Urn, 65 Gallon:
I love the looks of this barrel for collecting our rain water. In the summer when we have no rain, I will fill it to use as a reservoir for automatically watering my tomatoes on my deck.

Comments about Rainwater Urn, 65 Gallon:
We have been planning this purchase for years. When Gardener's Supply started marketing this style of collection barrel, we were very pleased. We purchased a 65-gallon and the 45-gallon. They assembled easily enough. It would be nice if the hose was offset from the spigot of the 45-gal. like it is with the 65-gal. It would be nice if we could get water out of the spigot or hose. The barrel is 1/3 full and trying to get water out today was not successful. Will try again when the barrel is fuller?
Anyone else experience this issue of getting water out of the barrels?

Comments about Rainwater Urn, 65 Gallon:
I highly agree with all of the positive comments about this VERY practical and attractive rain barrel. (I purchased two 65 gallon containers 2 years ago.) I encountered a problem that was not mentioned by any user. For winter storage (I live in Massachusetts), I drain the barrels and place them in the garage when they are completely dry inside. I leave the top open for air circulation. After a few weeks, the two barrels emit an unpleasant oder, which remains all winter. Any advice on what ingredients I might use to clean the interior - in addition to hosing it down with water?
Comments about Rainwater Urn, 65 Gallon:

Comments about Rainwater Urn, 65 Gallon:
The rain barrel exceeded my expectation. It is huge, but amazingly still fills up quickly, which makes the overflow spout a good feature. I never knew so much water was coming off my roof.
Previously, my gutters ran the runoff into my driveway and all the rain would then flow into my garage. Now, I don't have that problem.
It looks much nicer than other rain barrels. I was skeptical because of the price, but it was worth it.
The only problem I foresee it storage since it's not supposed to be left out in the winter.

This was a product I've yet to know how well it works having had it only a short time but so far has helped me conserve water for my potted/hanging plants. Conserving water here in Texas is essential. Rainwater is so much better for the plants than city water!! Love it!! The appearance is great & easy to use with the spigots. Thanks!!!

Comments about Rainwater Urn, 65 Gallon:
Collecting Roof water for reuse....excellent product and it looks great too.
The only negative thing I have is the hose on the bottom does not allow the water to flow out easily. I am quite certain that the hose is not pinched under collector. I use the spout valve to collect in pail.
Comments about Rainwater Urn, 65 Gallon:
Love the looks, easy to assemble. Only problem small leak where the spicket goes in. Not the spicket threads but the plastic surrounding the holes. Should be able to fix easy enough
Comments about Rainwater Urn, 65 Gallon:

Comments about Rainwater Urn, 65 Gallon:
I had to be very careful installing the hose, but especially the spout. You don't want to strip the threads. The instructions were very easy to read and follow. We have had a lot of rain, so it has stayed pretty full. I am going to have to attach something to the overflow pipe to get the excess water away from the house. It do love it, and the design fits in with my landscape.

We have an inground heated pool. I use the water from the rain barrels to fill my pool. This way I am not adding cold tap water to a heated pool so I save money on heating the pool and conserve water at the same time. Brilliant. I have two already and I think I will be getting some more. My neighbors think they look fantastic in our pool area.

Comments about Rainwater Urn, 65 Gallon:
The urn is nice looking, but almost too big for my space. The description says it is 20" in diameter (I would think at its widest place), but it is 24-25" across at the lower wide part.
Therefore it sticks out into the garage door space and we must be careful not to hit it.
The "20 inch" size was one reason we bought it, since our space was small. We do like it, so will be keeping it.

Comments about Rainwater Urn, 65 Gallon:
So excited to finally buy this! I've been reading about it on this website and really hoped this would be something I would like. It's so attractive that a total stranger mowing my neighbor's yard ask us were we got it! Only downfall is the water trickle is slow. Downspout doesn't work unless you have it filled half way. Hose on the side works at all levels. We also bought the attachment for the overflow, but returned it. It has its own overflow, so don't bother getting it. We attached it to our gutter via a plastic wrap from the hardwear store.

Comments about Rainwater Urn, 65 Gallon:
Ad / product description did not disclose that barrel is made with carcinogenic materials. Learned that fact only after receiving the product and reading the warnings enclosed with the packaging material. Warnings include no drinking of the stored water, thorough hand washing after handling and even avoidance of direct skin contact.

Comments about Rainwater Urn, 65 Gallon:
I really like the product, it's the largest and most attractive rain barrel design I've ever seen. My only difficulty is that there is not enough pressure to do heavy watering and lawn sprinkling. The hose has to be down below the level of the barrel to produce any water pressure. So it needs a pedestal or platform to elevate it to provide better pressure.

Comments about Rainwater Urn, 65 Gallon:
In my opinion this is the most attractive and best functioning rain barrel on the market. It is one of the few rain barrels with a water access that comes from the bottom of the barrel thus allowing you to use all the collected water. The only small complaint that I have is that there is no handle on the screen. I had to add a screw/bolt to give me something to grasp to pick up the screen.

Comments about Rainwater Urn, 65 Gallon:
We drilled holes in the recessed basin to allow the water than accumulated there to drain away. It works fine - the water flows into the barrel like the other water that enters via the round opening. The basin seems shallow to actually grow a plant there - but I haven't tried.
About 1/4 inch of rain fills the barrel - it is catching the water from the large side of our salt box style house - so could use another!
The spigot and lower drain hose are great a design - a hose to connect to the overflow opening would have been nice - but each gardener needs a different length depending where they want to over flow to go - so that's understandable why it wasn't included.

Comments about Rainwater Urn, 65 Gallon:
We love the shape and color in such a practical item. Also appeciate the drain hose being on the bottom, making it so easy to completely drain it.
Another rain barrel we own only has an overflow hose and once the water level sinks below the spigot, you cannot access the remaining water.
We have been using it in combination with your 45 gallon urn to water our extensive garden without adding to the water bill.
Comments about Rainwater Urn, 65 Gallon:
I use it to keep the downspout water from going across my driveway and to water my rose bushes
Comments about Rainwater Urn, 65 Gallon:

Comments about Rainwater Urn, 65 Gallon:
This rain urn is a beautiful and practical addition to our patio - and the flowerpot at the top is a great bonus, but why the green hose hanging on the side? Surely the hose could be disguised with some careful consideration about color and placement by the manufacturer's designers. And while they're at it, how about a variety of finishes in addition to the terra cotta? Or maybe match it up with a "bowl" for storing the hose?

Comments about Rainwater Urn, 65 Gallon:
Overflow valve is a problem. We had lots of rain in early June and it overflowed every time. The overflow valve does not fit normal tubing sizes, nor does it fit into a diverter for a downspout. This is a real problem when the water comes out alongside the house. 1-1/8 - 1-1/4 tubing is difficult to obtain -- and also does not fit your diverter into a downspout. . . .

Comments about Rainwater Urn, 65 Gallon:
Super looking; you'll need to drill holes in the planter on top or your plants will drown. Also setting it up on a couple concrete blocks improves the water pressure. Did I say, I love the looks?!

Comments about Rainwater Urn, 65 Gallon:
Looks great, lots of compliments. Wish I could tell how much water was in it however. Also top area fills with water and cannot drain-gets nasty-mine are permanently attached to my down spouts.
Comments about Rainwater Urn, 65 Gallon:
I love the appearance, because they do not look like rain barrels, but fine pottery. This is great if you have HOA restrictions on what can be placed outside your home. We raised our urns a foot off the ground to make it easier to drain the last of the water from the hose into a bucket for watering houseplants.
Comments about Rainwater Urn, 65 Gallon:
I have three(3) water barrels. This is the one I put in my front yard. It is gleaned comments from neighbors and is very attractive.
My only comment is that even at 65 gallons I could have used a larger one.
Thanks for making this item.

Comments about Rainwater Urn, 65 Gallon:
The urn is a gem--with the water rates in this town, it will pay for itself over and over.
Comments about Rainwater Urn, 65 Gallon:
This is one beautiful rain barrel! I love how it looks in our garden and feel good every time I turn on its hose to water the flowers. The only drawback is the planting area on top is very shallow, and doesn't have a "weep" hole so plants could easily wash away or drown. Drilling holes has helped. Still, I highly recommend this product.

Beautiful way to catch "God's water".

Comments about Rainwater Urn, 65 Gallon:
We put three of these in front of our house. Husband was adamant that we needed something attractive, these fit the bill.
They hold lots of water but be sure to put at least 5 gallons in yours when you set it up (or strap it to the wall) - otherwise it may blow away!
Here in MN where winters are long we need to plumb a barrel in in such a way that it can be disconnected in winter. I wish that this barrel was made with a standard screened, fully open top like most other rain barrels. This barrel requires that you either plumb the gutter right into the barrel (which then requires re-plumbing in fall) - or that you do what we did which is drill several large holes in the "planter" part of the top of the urn so that entire top can function as the intake.
Comments about Rainwater Urn, 65 Gallon:
Researched many, picked the best! Great learning experience for my kids and I'm thrilled to save lots of $ on the water bill and have all natural water to use in my garden. Easy to setup and use and beautiful to look at! Drill holes in the top area for a planter! Works great!
Comments about Rainwater Urn, 65 Gallon:
I have a rain chain going into the urn off my screened porch in back of our house. It is beautiful and works perfectly. I love watering my plants with rainwater. I would like to add another in the front of my house. Many compliments on the urn.

Comments about Rainwater Urn, 65 Gallon:
Looks attractive in my back yard. I agree with previous posts that the well on the top needs drainage holes. I like the idea of putting flowers in there but we have had a lot of rain and they would drown. The urn itself filled up with the first good rain fall. I have tried to attach a hose to the overflow to direct the water elsewhere but the next rain popped the hose off. It would be nice if the overflow was threaded and fit an average garden hose. I am going to get some circle clamps to see if that will hold the hose on to the overflow tube. Overall a nice capacity rain barrel. Will probably get another one.

Comments about Rainwater Urn, 65 Gallon:
This urn is the best I've come across. A bit pricey, but worth every penny. It blends in well in the back yard and the 65 gal. capacity is good, but, with two, we have 130 gal. of rain water. This enough to keep us watered between rains.

Comments about Rainwater Urn, 65 Gallon:
The product is great. We have placed it beside our down spout in our plant room. The only thing negative is that from a couple of feet from the urn you cannot see how full it is. If you where to put a see thru hose on the discharge port you would be able to see the hight of the water in the urn for a couple of feet away.
Thanks

Comments about Rainwater Urn, 65 Gallon:
I chose this rain barrel for it's attractive design, since it was going to be located next to our patio. My husband was even impressed that it looked like clay rather than plastic. We did purchase a separate downspout adapter, which diverts the water back to the downspout when the rainbarrel is full ... but it requires a closed system to function, which this rain barrel does not have. My only complaint is that the water seems to come out of the barrel rather slowly, even when the spout is fully open. I've never had another rain barrel, so I'm not sure if this is a universal problem or not.
Comments about Rainwater Urn, 65 Gallon:
My wife and I are very satisfied with the rain barrel and its appearance in our garden.

Comments about Rainwater Urn, 65 Gallon:
We've had rain barrels for years but I was never very happy with their aesthetics when they're in visible spots. This rain barrel drew my attention because it's so attractive and yet still light and functional. It took fewer than 5 minutes to set up (and I agree with the advice of an earlier reviewer to leave the hook attachment 'til the last) and it works just as described.
Comments about Rainwater Urn, 65 Gallon:
This lovely piece has been quite the coversation starter. Most of my neighbors have been over to examine it. (They were surprised to learn that it isn't a real clay pot!)I've been able to convince many of them to think about rain barrels as a way to conserve water. Unfortunately, right after I installed my rainwater urn, we hit a draught. I haven't been able to take advantage of its functionality.
Comments about Rainwater Urn, 65 Gallon:
We have several rain barrels, but this one is so much more attractive than the others. We have had several people ask where we got it. We haven't had it long enough to see how it is in the winter, and since we don't get a lot of rain once Spring is over, we will have to wait until Fall to compare it. We like the faucet, planter on top and where the drain hose is located.

Comments about Rainwater Urn, 65 Gallon:
I saw this rainbarrel in the Gardeners catalog and at a local nursery. I was so delighted with the looks of it and the price was much better through Gardeners, so naturally I placed my order online the minute I got home from the nursery.

Comments about Rainwater Urn, 65 Gallon:
We purchased two of these urns last summer. We empty them and store them in the garage for winter to avoid freezing water damage. This spring with the first rain, one urn leaks at the seam of the bottom pot to the urn neck and the second one leaks around the faucet joint. We do not recommend this product at all.

Comments about Rainwater Urn, 65 Gallon:
One big rainstorm filled this barrel and I am thrilled! With some maneuvering my watering can just fits under the spigot but I can also use the hose. This barrel was a big splurge for me, but I love saving water and not having to fuss with the ugly barrel I used to have!

Comments about Rainwater Urn, 65 Gallon:
One rain stores enough water for all my outside plants for weeks. Terra cotta look blends well with other pots on the patio. Planter top is a nice touch and partially conceals gutter and overflow tube.
Comments about Rainwater Urn, 65 Gallon:
Great rain barrel. Easy to hook up to the gutter system. It fills quickly. Water flows easily from the hose to watering can or soaker hoses.

This is such a stunning rain barrel and I get tons of compliments on it. It is gorgeous and puts together in 1 minute. My barrel is almost full after only a week of use. I would suggest this item to anyone! I may go back and get the smaller one for another area of the house.
Comments about Rainwater Urn, 65 Gallon:
We just bought this in the early spring and I use it to water all my outdoor pots. I love it!!! We are conserving water plus using the water that is best for flowers...rain water!!!
Comments about Rainwater Urn, 65 Gallon:
This barrel holds 65 gal. which suites my needs perfectly. It doesn't detract from my plants the way some other rain barrels do. It's a very nice addition to our foundation.

Comments about Rainwater Urn, 65 Gallon:
This is a great rainwater collector, we have gotten tons of compliments on it and it is by far the most attractive rainwater collector we have ever seen. Also it fills up fast! We have a really sloped roof and it fills up after one strong rain. My biggest issue is the water flow rate. The flow is so slow, no matter if we use the front tap or the hose coming from the bottom of the urn. We have it set up on bricks and it is at the top of a sloped flwoer bed, so we have gravity working for us, but still the flow is only useable at the three plants that are surrounding the urn. I am thinking that the best use is to fill up a watering can and then use the water that way.

Comments about Rainwater Urn, 65 Gallon:
We placed this rainbarrel under a downspout near our driveway as we have lots of veggies growing in our container-driveway garden and wanted to water with rainwater. We set it slightly raised on two cinder blocks, cut the downspout to the correct length and voila - done! Stable, lovely to look at, and both the brass spigot and the hose both work exactly as they should - no leaking or dripping. Getting to plant flowers on the top of it is a bonus. It's so beautiful that we get lets of compliments from neighbors and geusts. We could not be happier with our first rainbarrel purchase.
Comments about Rainwater Urn, 65 Gallon:
Though it is larger than I was expecting, it is very attractive and does exactly what I wanted. It makes a bold statement and collects water that had been dripping onto my patio.

Comments about Rainwater Urn, 65 Gallon:
It fills in a hurry! We love the attached hose. Our city water has jumped in price and we're in a drought-prone area. Even a quarter inch of rain gave us almost a barrelfull. A brief shower in the night topped it off. Great product.

Comments about Rainwater Urn, 65 Gallon:
The bottom plug had detached when it came and I could not find an adhesive for polyethylene in our area, so devised a plumbing parts solution.
I soon found out that if I had 2-100 gallon barrels under each spout, that would not be enough for a spring shower. I had to let the hose just run out onto the lawn. Also, the top "planter" quickly filled and spilled water everywhere so I suggest drilling holes whether you put plants in it or not.
But it sure looks prettier than our old downspout and drain pipe.

Comments about Rainwater Urn, 65 Gallon:
Set up was quick and easy. Took a couple of minutes to cut downspout to right height. Biggest issue I had was I had to attach to house as I live in Kansas and the wind blew it over before we got our first rain. Spigot good for filling buckets.

We had a downspout which gushed over the sidewalk and washed the mulch in the landscape out of the area. Also we wanted to be as green with water as we could be so having water in front is a great efficient bonus.

Comments about Rainwater Urn, 65 Gallon:
I've been looking for a rain barrel for 2 years and finally found this one. I bought the 65 gallon version. More water comes off your roof than you may realize unless you live in an arid climate. I'm on the East Coast. It's attractive, large and easy to use. The hose and spigot are convenient features. I use this rain barrel to prevent water from ponding over a flagstone patio and driveway. It fills up quickly in the spring and I still get overflow water on the patio, but it's a major improvement. I've had to empty it twice in a month (March-April). Once the weather warms up and I start using the water in the garden I won't have this problem. I'm sure it will be wise to empty it before freezing temperatures too. Friends, family and neighbors seem to like it and think water conservation is a good idea too. I think rain barrels are going to become very popular now that more styles and sizes are available.

Comments about Rainwater Urn, 65 Gallon:
Best looking rain barrel available. Holds large amount in stylish urn. Spigot works well, as does handy on/off hose. All parts seem sturdy and well made. We only have one barrel on one downspout (w/ help of flexible downspout from Solutions catalog) and it fills the 65 gallon urn with less than a one inch rainfall. We use this to water veg garden, flower pots, etc. Wish we could buy more! you won't be disappointed.

Comments about Rainwater Urn, 65 Gallon:
I'm in rain drought Southern CA with water rationing beginning soon. I have 3/4 acre of lawn and flower & vegetables gardens. Thought I'd be proactive in using my wash water which is already set up to drain into a dry well to save on water going into septic tank. I just ordered my 2nd 65 gal. urn to handle multiple loads of wash. I have researched & found a biocompatible wash detergent, Oasis, which allows me to us wash water directly on plants. Have just done this for a couple of weeks so am waiting to see if any long-term negatives on plants. So far am using water to hand-water which is fine when I have time, but very time consuming. My husband is going to install a pump to the hose so that I can hook it up to a soaker hose or small sprinkler. Most of all, I feel that I am doing my part in conserving water and I may not have to lose my lawn as a result of the water rationing. Will follow up with long term results.

Comments about Rainwater Urn, 65 Gallon:
So far the hose hasn't worked, but it is still cold here, so it may be a result of that, but the fawcett works great! It filled up the very 1st time it rained, so we are watering the house plants while biding our time for outdoor planting.

Comments about Rainwater Urn, 65 Gallon:
After the first big rain, I was so excited to use the rainwater on my garden only to find that there was no water in the container! It all leaked out from the bottom. Luckily, my husband can fix anything! Now we have a full rain barrel.

Comments about Rainwater Urn, 65 Gallon:
Assembly was simple, however, the instructions suggested attaching top pieces first which fall off when you tip the urn over to attach other parts. A common sense mistake. Other than that, the rain collector is terrific! I love that it has a hose attachment at the very bottom, as well as the spigot down on the side. The hanger for the hose easily goes to one side or the other, and best of all, it doesn't LOOK like a rain barrel which are frowned upon in my uppity neighborhood. At first, I choked at the price, but wanting a rain barrel in the front of my house, this seemed the best option for me. It was worth every penny!

Comments about Rainwater Urn, 65 Gallon:
I placed this beautiful rain barrel next to the garage in the front yard. The house is 90' long and the barrel fills up in about an hour. I placed additional hose on the drain to direct water away from the house. For the summer I plan to water the garden and flowers from the barrel. It's beautiful and functional and I didn't find anything not to like.

I bought one of these last year for the front yard and liked it so much I bought a second one for the back yard. It is an attractive addition to the front of the house, I get compliments all the time. I also get water that has not been chemically treated to use on my tomatoes. I have not had any insect problems (in Florida). We are in a drought, but I have enough water to keep my plants looking great. I have been very happy with this purchase and recommend it often.

Comments about Rainwater Urn, 65 Gallon:
Much more attractive in my front yard than the old black barrel I had there. Three access areas are great with hose bib, included bottom hose, and easy top access. After rains done I used plastic food container to cover input hole and a cork to plug the overflow to keep all mosquitos out. Works great. I like the filter keeping leaves out. I have recommended to many others as we face more drought conditions.

Comments about Rainwater Urn, 65 Gallon:
The fittings are simple. Had to tie down due to windy location (simple to do with cord tied to downspout). Once it filled with water that was not a problem. Now trying to set up the downspout diverter. Easy to connect to this but now the fun begins with house downspout configuration. Easy instructions for barrel set up. Adds a great look to the yard. Just what is needed when drought conditions and rationing is on the horizon.

There should be a clear hose that could be attached to the overflow spout so that water doesn't shoot all over the place. This could be sold as an accessory.

Comments about Rainwater Urn, 65 Gallon:
The two barrels were the best for fit, size & attractiveness of all that we considered for the front of our house. We read other reviews very carefully for advice on overcoming the difficulties, & designed the inflow, connections, and outflow systems with the help of an irrigation expert for less than $20. It took a couple of days to set them up. The barrels look great, they don't leak, & they do the job. The neighbors are impressed. Now all we need is rain!

Comments about Rainwater Urn, 65 Gallon:
Was able to get Association variance for height and not have to use lattice screening. The overflow hole is not large enough to drain a downspout of water during a heavy rain when the barrel is full. I found a flexible downspout section at [...] that allowed me to bend it to fill the barrel but could then bend it back to attach to rest of downspout for normal draining. I just cut out a 12 section of downspout, so can have mormal downspout drainage for overflow. Very easy and much simpler than the [$] device sold by Gardener Supply.

Comments about Rainwater Urn, 65 Gallon:
We've only just had our first big rain, and so far I'm pleased with the urn. The brass faucet is very nice, and the hose works well, too. We attached some 1" tubing from an aquarium store to the overflow to direct it away from the house. The only real grumble I have is with the basin in the top. It fills quickly with water and would not do for storing any supplies. Any pots placed up there would be quickly waterlogged. On the plus side, the doves thought I'd provided them a new bath.

Comments about Rainwater Urn, 65 Gallon:
The product is exactly as described, but much bulkier(and taller) than anticipated. The planter on top really is unnecessary and holes must be drilled for proper drainage from that top planter. They look much better if they can be tucked in a flower bed as opposed to resting next to the house.
Comments about Rainwater Urn, 65 Gallon:
I have two. One near my rose garden and one on the porch of my art studio arranged along with several assorted sizes of farm animal watering buckets and a couple of old wagon wheels. Looks great and is close and convenient to potted plants.

Comments about Rainwater Urn, 65 Gallon:
This is a beautiful water barrel and holds an ample amount of water .
It's attractive, goes together well and mostly seems to function well.
Two things about it that I am not so thrilled with: the top "planter" seems useless. Since there are no drainage holes, the water collects there for a fabulous mosquito trap (or bird bath. ) If you did plant a plant there there would be no drainage.
The instructions say to not leave it outside in cold weather. This is problematic since I live in Oregon and that is when we collect our rainwater.
Comments about Rainwater Urn, 65 Gallon:
We are on water rationing and saving water for later use is a must. This is a very attractive way to do it.

Comments about Rainwater Urn, 65 Gallon:
We love how aesthetically pleasing the barrel is, so many people that visit our home want to know where to get the barrel. One thing I would suggest is creating some type of platform to sit the barrel on with an open area for the hose, so that the hose does not become pinched and unusable.
Comments about Rainwater Urn, 65 Gallon:

I really like the "Alle-baba and Forty Thieves" shape. Nice way to not waste Mother Natures' gift. I'm wondering though, what happens when it gets really cold, besides emptying it and dragging it into the garage?

Comments about Rainwater Urn, 65 Gallon:
There is a design flaw that can easily be adjusted. Problem: The upper storage/planter section collects water without drainage. If storage is desired, it is like storing tools in a pond. If a plant is desired, it drowns. Solution: Drill a few holes in the upper section's base to drain the water into the filter & urn below.
Comments about Rainwater Urn, 65 Gallon:
This is an energy efficient product that is decorative as well. I have looked at other rain barrels and they look like garbage cans! This product has a brass spout and a good hose attachement. I have recommended this to three other persons who have also purchased the product and are completely satisfied.
Comments about Rainwater Urn, 65 Gallon:
We love how the rain barrel looks. Its confused a lot of people who think its made of terracotta and not plastic. It blends beautifully with my other plant pots on our deck. The only downside is that since we bought it we've hardly had any rain!!!

this is a great looking product for those with smaller yards or who don't like the looks of standard rain barrels. however, the screw in connector to the hose on the bottom of the barrel seems like it might seep a bit if not tightly screwed in. One caution, this fully filled barrel will be very heavy so if placement is on a deck, it should be over a joist.

Comments about Rainwater Urn, 65 Gallon:
We have bought five Rainwater Urns to go with our new gutters. THEY ARE PERFECT! So far we have had at least 5 of our neighbors ask about them and have recommended them in each case.
We live in the High Plains area so rain is spotty and almost always needed. Collecting rainwater for plants is just plain smart in any arid or semi-arid location. I would highly encourage ANYONE who can to look into this strategy. If we could collect more rainwater we would (e.g. cistern)!

Comments about Rainwater Urn, 65 Gallon:
Best investment I made this year for my landscaping needs. After just one rain fall I had enough water in 2 of these babies to water my newely transplanted rhodedendrons for a week. It is amazing how much water comes off the roof that can be put to such good use. I have an added bonus of living on a hill which helps me utilize gravity to water those hard to reach areas down at the bottom of my hill. Great looking, too. Have recieved many positive comments from neighbors about the southwestern terra cotta look.

Comments about Rainwater Urn, 65 Gallon:
On it's own this is a nice product for smaller scale uses. Let's face it, a rain barrel really doesn't develop much water pressure to fill your watering cans quickly. I really wanted to use it with the Downspout diverter and was a bit disappointed. I didn't want to drill any holes in my new purchase so I used the linking hole already provided since it was also at a perfect height. This means however that I can not link it to another barrel later on for more storage.
I strongly recommend setting it elevated (say on concrete blocks) because no watering can worth it's weight will fit under the brass spigot.
Overall I am pleased with it though.
Comments about Rainwater Urn, 65 Gallon:
I have other water barrels at various spots around my house, but resisted putting one in front because they are so GREEN against my white frame house. But, terra cotta is perfect for a California home and polyethylene is not only lighter, it is virtually unbreakable. Love the neighbors' compliments, also!

Comments about Rainwater Urn, 65 Gallon:
I just replaced my 55 gal Rain Barrel with 2 Urns.
We had to modify Urns extensively to drive the drip system for a (50'x10') garden that a single barrel had easily supported. Real re-engineering test will be next spring.
Urns are very attractive additions to my urban garden.

Comments about Rainwater Urn, 65 Gallon:
I was told about the rain barrells and looked at many. This was the best combination of great style and price. I was afraid a barrell would be unattractice. I was pleased to see how great it looks and it's efficient.

Comments about Rainwater Urn, 65 Gallon:
I appreciated all of the comments from others regarding the Rainwater Urn. The feedback about leaking helped when I recieved the urn and assembled it. We added sealer around the faucet to prevent leaks and after one very heavy rain, it filled right up and have had no leaks. I am going to have a hard time emptying it before winter.

Comments about Rainwater Urn, 65 Gallon:
We had an area that needed some beauty and was functional. The raincatcher fulfilled both needs.
I was so surprised at the many uses I have for the stored water. Great item!

Comments about Rainwater Urn, 65 Gallon:
Water storage is sufficient for use as backup watering option for dry snaps and finicky plants. Our house is on a well, so every drop counts - this helps me make it count twice!!

Comments about Rainwater Urn, 65 Gallon:
I am using it to divert water from the front of the garage to the side of the house. I attached a buried hose to the faucet and leave it open.
I tried attaching it to the overflow so that I could keep a full cistern of water. Heavy rain causes the cistern to overflow as the output flow can not keep up with the input. The capacity above the faucet serves as a water buffer for heavy hurricane induced rain. This uses the leaky bucket concept for buffering.
I had to add a hose connection to the overflow port to connect the hose. It is a handsome addition to the front of my house as I continue to find ways to keep my garage dry.

This urn looks so great in the landscape. The neighbors have been coming over and commenting on how great it looks. Then when they feel it, they are amazed that it is not pottery. I really like how easy it is to carry with no water in it.

Comments about Rainwater Urn, 65 Gallon:
Placed under an airconditioner runoff spout. Filled quickly but bottom plug must have been stripped because it leaked. Fixed plug with white plumbers tape. Held a few days and fixed again. So far so good. Even with a leak that aggravated me after paying over [$] for it, We fixed the leak...(so far) and I have enjoyed it since. Water the porch plants with the extra water and the lawn with the rest. It also cleaned up a moldy spot on the concrete from the runoff. I would recommend to anyone buying one to reseal all plug holes before using.

Comments about Rainwater Urn, 65 Gallon:
Great looking barrel! But the size of the overflow spout is way too small to handle a downpour and water runs out over the top--and into places I had not intended! (I have a hose that diverts the water from the overflow.) The top requires holes be drilled into it to prevent mosquitos breeding there and needs rocks to hold it down in a downpour (see above). The spout is too low to the ground to get a serious-sized watering can under it and the too-small diameter of the hose means that water runs out veeeery slowly. I have an English rainbarrel as well--it's a better product even if it isn't nearly as pretty.

Comments about Rainwater Urn, 65 Gallon:
Needs more instruction about what height to set barrell in order for gravity to empty using hose. Once full, too heavy to move. Must wait until empty to try to elevate.
Comments about Rainwater Urn, 65 Gallon:
We use this product to water the veggies outdoors, file birdbaths with rain water, and potted plants (indoors and outdoors). Holds so much it never seems to go dry.
Comments about Rainwater Urn, 65 Gallon:
I bought the plastic urn rain barrel just before five inches of rain hit North Carolina. The urn captured all it would hold. The overflow valve struggled to keep up with hard rain, so I had to open the faucet as well. The decorative top (planter option) held water. I will drill a couple holes in it to drain water into barrel. Neighbors stop and stare and wonder what this attractive object is with a downspout directed into its top. I'm sure there will be more rain urns on my street soon.
Comments about Rainwater Urn, 65 Gallon:
It's excellent! I used 2 to flank a new entance and doorway to an eco-remodel. It has a pleasing design.
Comments about Rainwater Urn, 65 Gallon:
It looks great! It really helps me in the garden. SO glad I got this rain barrell before the rainy summer ended!
Comments about Rainwater Urn, 65 Gallon:
My new rain barrel is the greatest! It does what other rain barrels do--and it looks nice, too!!! There's no need to find a place to hide it. It actually adds visual appeal to my patio and garden. My neighbors are jealous.
Comments about Rainwater Urn, 65 Gallon:
This product is not only nice to look at it is well built and averything fuctions well. The only thing I had to do was drill holes in the top tray so it would drain into the barrel and not over water top planting area.
Comments about Rainwater Urn, 65 Gallon:
We live in the Texas Panhandle where water is becoming scarce. The Water Urn helps us to harvest precious rain water. In addition it in an attractive addition has part of our garden's hardscape.
Comments about Rainwater Urn, 65 Gallon:
These large rain barrels hold a good amount of rain water and are so attractive against the house. Easy to set up and use.

Comments about Rainwater Urn, 65 Gallon:
We do not have an outdoor spigot for a hose connection nor do we have traditional gutters or down spouts, but that doesn't matter now. I drilled a few holes in the top planter, lined it with landscape fabric, planted my plants and wallah! My Rainwater Urn has filled up quickly with a few good rains! And it is gorgeous to boot! It is much bigger than I expected too!Now I can water my raised vegetable beds easily and without hauling water from inside the house and lugging the water can around the yard. A few cons include:1. The hose clamp, included, was WAY too big to secure the hose to the fitting...though I don't see the point in the clamp as there isn't much pressure being exerted from the water flow.2. The hose itself is cheap and kinks very easily. I will replace it next year with a good quality hose that is longer.3. Getting the screen out is difficult without a handle or a notch. I fixed that by screwing a screw into one of the holes so I have something to pull the screen up with. It's a new toy and I have to check the water level ya know!Other than those minor things, it is beautiful and functional! I didn't want something tacky in my garden and this fit the bill. It took me 1 year of researching rain barrels to finally part with my money for this one, and I am so glad I waited! It isn't cheap but it sure is worth the cost if you care about aesthetics. But then if you have a couch on your lawn, a trash can would probably suit you just fine. I may purchase another one next year for the other side of the yard. I have shopped this site for approximately 5 years and have always been pleased with quality of product, [...] and unique solutions you offer gardeners. I recommend you to all of my friends and family who also enjoy many varied gifts from your product line.

Comments about Rainwater Urn, 65 Gallon:
Users new to rain barrels need to know that there is very little water pressure exiting the rainbarrel. I have attached a soaker hose with enlarged holes to the exit hose. This seems to be a satisfactory way to use the stored water.
Comments about Rainwater Urn, 65 Gallon:
You'll be surprised how much water you can collect after a rain and than how fast you can empty it, by watering your plants. Stop water from going into storm drains (useless). Eliminate chlorine problem to your plants and provide nutrients. Looks nice enough to be in the front of your house

Comments about Rainwater Urn, 65 Gallon:
Rain water from the downspout was pooling and leaking into the garage. This is a wonderful alternative. It is pretty and functional. However, when we have a heavy rain, the overflow can't keep up and water will spurt out of the top and knock out your plants on the top. We have been trying to keep it somewhat drained to avoid the problem. We will probably order another for the downspout in the back as well.
Comments about Rainwater Urn, 65 Gallon:
This water urn is attractive enought to stand on our patio. It has a place to plant flowers on the top and looks like it is there for only decoration. The finish looks just like terra cotta and unless you touch it you would never know it was plastic. We haven't had to drag out the hose since the first rain storm. The 65 gallon capacity gives plenty of water in between storms.
Comments about Rainwater Urn, 65 Gallon:
I currently bought one and had it hooked up to one side of the garage. I wanted to make sure I liked it and that it was easy to use. It can be seen from the street and really looks nice. I plan on buying a second one to hook up to the other side of the garage.
Comments about Rainwater Urn, 65 Gallon:
I use the Rainwater Urn to collect the condensate from my whole house AC which is the equivalent of distilled water and otherwise drips into the sewer. Its appearance allows me to use it in the midst of my garden without looking ugly or out of place.
Comments about Rainwater Urn, 65 Gallon:
Beautiful shape, holds lots of water and eco friendly. I wish the water would come out of the spigots more quickly and it would be nice if the hose that came with it was the same color as the urn. The neighbors have been very interested in this new item in my yard, all have positive comments to make. I really like this rain barrel and wish I could afford several more so that I could link them together.
Comments about Rainwater Urn, 65 Gallon:
I don't know why I've waited so long to order this rainwater urn. It was easy to set up, and the rains came the next day! I have been using the rainwater to water my outside container plants. Although it's a bit too soon to notice any change in my water bill, I just feel better knowing that I am conserving water, and I love to use rainwater on my plants. And, its unusual shape adds a bit of drama to my garden!Lydia [...]
Comments about Rainwater Urn, 65 Gallon:
The urn works well holding and especially dispensing the water. The hose and spigot make a flexible usage that is easy for everyone.
Comments about Rainwater Urn, 65 Gallon:
So far have been very happy with this product. Only cons are the price, and that the hose on the bottom does not drain. It's large capacity is able to hold a full clotheswasher cycle (60 gallon), be sure to use biodegradable detergent if you do this.
Comments about Rainwater Urn, 65 Gallon:
Thank you!! : )
Comments about Rainwater Urn, 65 Gallon:
I finally got my father to help me put the urn in place, we did it just in time. An afternoon rainstorm filled it up. Now I plan on getting at least one more. They are beautiful and useful.
Comments about Rainwater Urn, 65 Gallon:
Needed something more stylish than converted food containers to capture excess rain water from a gutter-downspout discharge in a poorly drained, but visually important atrium area. Saving the water for later watering the plants there is a bonus. Well designed, functional, and looks elegant standing among the tropical plants.
Comments about Rainwater Urn, 65 Gallon:
This Urn was perfect for my patio--it solved the
problem with my rain gutter --I have already
recommended it to a friend and I gave him a catalog--I am sure he will be ordering from you soon--
Comments about Rainwater Urn, 65 Gallon:
Everyone that has seen this Urn has raved about it. The planter at the top is a nice touch and the size is quite good; the diameter is not too large, but holds a lot of water. I would recommend using Teflon tape before installing the hose on the bottom as it will leak without it.
Comments about Rainwater Urn, 65 Gallon:
I needed a rain barrel for my storage shed, because the rain seemed to just puddle around the foundation after running off the back roof. And I wanted to use rain water for the vegetables planted there. Since my yard is small and anything I add is very noticable, I wanted something attractive in addition to serving a purpose. This is gorgeous! Everyone who has seen it wants one for their yard.
Comments about Rainwater Urn, 65 Gallon:
Rather expensive when compared to other rain barrel styles but it also more attractive.

Comments about Rainwater Urn, 65 Gallon:
I actually like it a lot -- looks nice below my rain chain. I had to use a sealer for wet locations to fix the leak at the spigot fitting and I would appreciate a short length of tubing to divert overflow water from the foundation.
Comments about Rainwater Urn, 65 Gallon:
I just got my rain barrel/planter and it is simply wonderful. I will have rain chains and the look of them will work very well with this urn. I am an older, single person with some problems getting around, and this was lightweight enough for me to handle and set up myself, yet very sturdy. Most rain barrels are hideous---this one looks great. Thank you!
Comments about Rainwater Urn, 65 Gallon:
Most of us take water preasure for granted. Water from the barrel comes out slow and will not work with a fancy sprayer. I have found the process to be primitive but not really bad, just different from what I though. I fill my watering can from the barrel and all my plants get watered albeit on a slower rate than with the city water and hose. So now I must slow down. I think I will survive!

Comments about Rainwater Urn, 65 Gallon:
Very disappointed in a leaky rain barrel. I'll try to doctor it up with silicone caulk, But for [$] you'd think algreen could test it themselves. And repair it.
Comments about Rainwater Urn, 65 Gallon:
I like it a lot and use it since day one I got it. The planter on top is also pretty with flowers that is "creeping". The other day it started leaking around the spigot, so we will have to empty the water and seal it. The customer service was nice enough to be responsible for it.
Comments about Rainwater Urn, 65 Gallon:
Use on deck out back. Convenient to potted plants. No mosquitos yet. Planter on top looks pretty but not practical. Next year I'll leave it empty and increase the rain collection area. We drain water off the roof of our covered pergola without a downspout.

Comments about Rainwater Urn, 65 Gallon:
We've been suffering from drought conditions here in the South for a couple years now. Watering restrictions are in place. But when it DOES rain it fills up this barrel in no time and I have enough water to keep my plants going. Without it I would not have had much of a garden this year. Only drawback; the overflow drain could be larger.

I'm so impressed! It is absolutely beautiful and all of my neighbors have asked me where I found it. I had no idea my roof caught so much water. The first short rain we had it was full.
Comments about Rainwater Urn, 65 Gallon:
Love the design, fits right in with my antique farm house. Haven't had much rain lately, but can't wait to use it when it fills up. Another way to reuse our resources!!!
Comments about Rainwater Urn, 65 Gallon:
Compared to my other rain harvesting barrels, this looks incredible. It looks great. I set it up in the front yard, off a front downspot on my home among shrubs. Barely notice it and the homeowners association doesn't even mind. I am hoping it will hold up to my Texas summers, will let you know!
Comments about Rainwater Urn, 65 Gallon:
Just purchased this rainwater urn and I am very pleased on its specifications. Has a bottom spout that a small watering can fits under and also a handy side hose. It is very attractive and fits in a smaller space then a wider rainbarrel. Do not yet know about its weather resistance but its seem of very good quality. I am tempted to buy more for other downspout areas of my home.
Comments about Rainwater Urn, 65 Gallon:
I love watering my plants with water from my rain barrel. I have had rain barrels in the past, but this is the prettiest one I have had. I put a citronella plant in it here in Mississippi to help keep mosquitoes away. I also water my small organic garden with it. My dogs can't chew the spout on this one either. The metal spout is better than the plastic I have had before.

Comments about Rainwater Urn, 65 Gallon:
Everyone that sees this wants to know where I got it. It looks great and the hose and spigot are both effective to remove the water. The only negative is that the overflow spout shoots the water pretty forcefully onto the house so we attached a hose to divert the water down the driveway. It'd be nice if the sold one with the barrel. Tray on the top requires a hole to be drilled for use as a planter. Could they have a punch out hole instead?
Comments about Rainwater Urn, 65 Gallon:
Very attractive look. Adds beauty to the garden. Good conversation piece. Would like buy another.
Comments about Rainwater Urn, 65 Gallon:
I live in an arid part of the country and have a tiny yard. Every drop of water is precious and so is space. I chose the urn because it contributes to the garden as a piece of interest and serves the practical purpose to capture water for later use. I searched for a year to find the right "rain barrel", I'm glad I held out for this one.
Comments about Rainwater Urn, 65 Gallon:
The urn is beautiful and holds a lot of water. I've received many compliments and inquiries from passers-by about them. The ability to use both the hose and the spout is useful. I would have preferred to have the spout a little higher up to allow for more clearance for watering cans. Also, since the water exits the urn using gravity rather than a pump, the pressure is low and cannot be used with a soaker hose. Not necessarily a design flaw, just something I hadn't considered. I'll be trying out the solar watering system to see if that effectively uses the water in the urns.
Comments about Rainwater Urn, 65 Gallon:
This looks great and is very practical.
Comments about Rainwater Urn, 65 Gallon:
Love how it uses rain water that would go to waste otherwise. It's so attractive. It make a nice addition to the yard. Would recommend 2 curved gutters to direct the water right into the hole. but other than that, it's great for the avid gardener.

Comments about Rainwater Urn, 65 Gallon:
It has paid for itself already in the amount it saves us on our water bill. I was amazed after the first rainfall, it was filled to the brim. The removable screen keeps mosquitos and gutter debris out. The only thing I would recommend is attaching a hose to the overflow spout. After a few days of heavy rain we had some soil erosion from the overflow of water pouring onto the ground.
